It was our first time dining at this restaurant. We made a reservation for four—a double date with our pastor and his wife. My husband and I arrived about 20 minutes early. While most places would have asked us to wait for the rest of our party, the manager/host was kind enough to seat us so we could order appetizers and drinks. Our party arrived almost 30 minutes later, and throughout the wait our server was incredibly patient, frequently checking on us to see if we needed anything. When our guests arrived, they were greeted warmly and offered drinks right away. The server also gave us time to settle in and chat, never rushing us, which we truly appreciated. We started with appetizers and complimentary dinner rolls. The food was delicious. I ordered the 10-oz prime rib, and it was a generous cut—very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Overall, our experience was impeccable. The next day, I was already craving their prime rib again. I highly recommend this place. The outdoor dining area also looks very romantic—we’re definitely planning to come back soon.
Big shout out to management and the servers. I booked a large party - 25 of us - for The Sarasota Sirens Ladies Night Out. What a beautiful night on the patio. Management welcomes us with open arms. Also a different server was assigned to each table to make ordering drinks and food super easy, no long waits like we usually experience at other restaurants. Highly recommend for food & cocktail options, ambiance, and service. We will be back!
This is a nice steakhouse with an upscale feel. My wife and I started with the bourbon bacon as an appetizer. It was thick cut bacon slabs smothered in a bourbon sauce. They were fantastic! A surefire hit! After that my wife enjoyed a 6 oz. filet mignon while I opted for the 12 oz. New York strip. The steaks were expertly prepared, and we enjoyed them very much. Each steak came with a baked potato. The potatoes were a little underdone and were just okay. Our server was adequate and friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice. We both enjoyed our dinner at the B&B Chophouse.
I literally couldn’t wait to write this review. Not your typical New Year’s Eve disaster by any stretch! We ate there last night. New Year’s Eve. First we were seated at a patio table outside. I was hesitant at first, but it was a blessing in disguise. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main dining room and quiet enough to hear each other. Our server Alanna’s was sweet as could be; non-intrusive, happy and friendly making us feel at ease. The cocktails were wonderful, but the food was beyond my expectations. The four-course price fix menu offered a variety of different options and flavors. We started with the oysters Rockefeller. Six large, plump, succulent gems in the most incredibly velvet spinach and cream blend cooked perfectly. Next, a beautifully constructed wedge salad for him and a caprese for me. Both were fresh, cold and crisp. Not overly dressed and very generous in size. Then the entrees. My mouth literally fell open when they arrived. A generous wagyu and 8oz lobster tail accompanied by fingerlings and roasted baby carrots. The entire plate was absolutely perfect. The abundance of food we were served was more than enough and we opted to get our dessert to go along with a generous portion of our entrees. As restaurants go here, there’s a significant amount of competition. Daring to eat out on NYE comes with a lot of uncertainty. I can honestly say without a doubt that B&B Chophouse knows how to do it right. And if they can pull off an impeccable NYE with such care and integrity, I have no doubt any normal evening would feel just like NYE! Thank you for making our night so memorable. Happy New Year guys and gals! Great job!!! Ps…the desserts were just right for out midnight welcoming of 2026! 🥂
The food was great. Steaks cooked exactly to order and had amazing flavor. The bourbon selection is vast, although they didn't have any rare bourbon. But the bourbon in paradise was delicious. Our waiter knew the menu well and was able to offer excellent advice on food and drinks. We had a party of 7 and had plenty of room and a comfortable table.
My wife and I recently visited B&B Chophouse for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was inviting, and both the food and cocktails easily rank among our favorites to date. We enjoyed a perfectly prepared crab cake appetizer, filet, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Manhattan-cut steak — all absolutely delicious. But here’s the real secret: DO NOT skip the Flaming Old Fashioned Cheesecake. It’s hands down one of the best cheesecakes we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back! — Melissa & Wes
Today was our first visit and we were amazed! The food was amazing and service was even better. We got to sit outside alone and it was wonderful. We got the charcuterie board, calamari, Waygu filet with bourbon shrimp, waygu sirloin & lobster tail, a French 75 and a manhattan. Everything was perfect! Alaina (I’m sure I spelled that wrong lol ) was our server and she was so wonderful. Amazing vibe and just easy to talk to. We would come back just for her honestly! We will be returning😊
I love how this place is hidden!!! We were celebrating our anniversary and they even brought out a celebratory dessert--bread pudding with ice cream!! It was yummy! The service was great and the food was good too!! We will definitely be back!! Husband ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta... The pasta had very little shrimp, but it was tasty! It was huge!!
This is such a cute spot, the food was phenomenal. Our server was Rick and he was amazing!! We will be back and we hope to have Rick as our server again!
From start to finish, my experience at B&B Chophouse in Lakewood Ranch was absolutely outstanding. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing, upscale evening out. I started with an Old Fashioned, which was expertly crafted—smooth, balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. The Caesar salad I ordered as an appetizer was fantastic: crisp, flavorful, and generously portioned—honestly large enough to share, though I enjoyed every bite myself! The highlight of the meal was the $19.99 Prime Rib special—cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. I chose the mashed potatoes as my side, which were creamy and delicious, but I kept hearing people raving about the au gratin potatoes. I’ll definitely be trying those next time. The garlic butter that came with the bread was another standout—rich and full of flavor, a perfect start to the meal. All in all, B&B Chophouse delivered a top-notch dining experience. Great food, great drinks, great service—I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
We went for our 60th Anniversary.. steaks were perfect desert wonderful! The service was beyond a 5 star rating ❤️
New for us. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening, which we knew would be busy. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is much larger, on the inside, than you would think by looking at the front. Large outdoor patio (rainy evening, so that was closed). Looks as though they may have live entertainment, but none on our visit. The restaurant is clean, laid out well. Wide variety menu. We had the ribeye with au gratin potatoes, and the steak burger with cream corn. We also had the fried cauliflower appetizer (very lightly breaded-very good). Our server was very prompt with drinks, refills-but much slower to bring the bill. :) Food delivery was from the kitchen staff, very prompt and presentation was great. We were offered an 'anniversary gift' bread pudding-it was excellent. As the restaurant began to fill up, it got very noisy. We were seated next to a table with 5 children--they were very quiet and polite. Overall, a very nice visit.
We got the ribeye, a prime rib, grilled Asparagus, baked potato and crab bisque soup all were exceptional.
We love coming here. Probably one of the best steak house. No trip to Florida is complete with out at least one dinner at B&B.
Exceptional service and meal. I ordered the prime rib and husband had the center cut sirloin which was exceptionally delicious. We then shared their lava cake that was to die for. I highly recommend dining at Bourbon and bones.
I went in to get a gift card for a client of mine and decided to take advantage of happy hour. The staff were very friendly. We sat outside in the pretty courtyard, with the lovely string lights. Our waitress was excellent, fast and provided excellent service. She told me they have music there Friday and Saturday nights. They had a ling bar inside with plenty of tables. My charcuterie plate was reasonable priced at $7, my daughter had chicken bites which she said were delicious! That coupled with a glass of wine totaled $21. Bourbon and Bones is located in San Marco Plaza in Lakewood Ranch. I hope my client enjoys their meal there and I will definitely be back.
Nice steakhouse in Lakewood ranch. I had the calamari and the 10 oz fillet and was absolutely fantastic. The price is about half of what it would be any other major steakhouse chains and the quality is up there with them. Cocktails were very well made and they have a very good selection of bourbons. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend
Came here for boyz night out and we sat at the bar as per usual. Definitely didn’t disappoint on the bourbon or the dinner front. The bartenders were engaging and efficient and really busy. We tried one of their bourbon flights and their classic Old Fashioned. They have quite a selection of food including specials for the evening. The Bourbon Bread Pudding was gr8 as well! Definitely coming back.
Prime Rib was cooked to my perfection med rare, compliments to the chef.Potatoes au Gratin and grilled asparagus were excellent side dishes.Waiter Rick was very cordial and professional.I definitely recommend to family and friends.
One of the finest Lakewood Ranch restaurants. Food was exceptional, service was friendly and the timing of the meal was perfect. The bread pudding for "two" was amazing. Perfect night, highly recommended, and we'll definitely be coming back.
Update 12/23/25. Drinks and appetizers at a table in the bar with friends. The deviled eggs, steak sliders, cosmo, and espresso martini were great. ----------------- Update 7/20/25. Snacks and drinks at the bar. Citrus cosmo was delicious. I had Blantons bourbon, reasonably priced and hard to find. The charcuterie board was great. Bartender Aubrey was engaging. They try hard to make you feel welcome. Original review: We had a terrific experience sitting at the bar. Larry the bartender was awesome. We had snacks, roasted tomato with blue cheese and the carpaccio. Very tasty. B&B strikes me as a very well managed restaurant. We'll go back soon for a steak dinner.
Our food & service were wonderful! The steaks and sides were delicious and our server, Heather, was fantastic! We will definitely be back!
We had an amazing experience our first time at this restaurant. Outstanding decor, atmosphere, food & drink quality and service. Our bartender Larry took the time to ask our names as well as all of the other bar patrons and was very good at recommending food and drinks and making sure that we were taken care of. We will definitely be back!
The staff is courteous and friendly. Our server, Jacob, was awesome. I ordered the top sirloin with the dry rub and Maker's Mark butter, au gratin potatoes on the side; my friend got the exact same thing except with a ribeye, and he also got a side of creamed corn. Everything was excellent. I have never liked creamed corn but my friend insisted I try a bite and it too was delicious. Plus they have a meat market and although I didn't buy any of it, the thick cut bacon looked especially awesome.
Amazing food, atmosphere and server ! Definitely coming back! 10/10 recommend if in Lakewood ranch/Sarasota area!
First time eating here and it was fantastic! The wedge salad, bourbon butter, and filet were stunning! Amazing ambience on the inside despite the cluttered front door. Beautiful interior and patio! Best steak I’ve had in a while!
My husband and I have been dining here for years (when it was originally called Bourbon & Bones). It’s been a while since we’ve visited but we had dinner last night and it was phenomenal! We always had said we preferred it over some of the big “brand name” steak houses in town and that still stands. Every single thing we had was delicious. We had the baby wedge salad (probably one of the best salads we’ve ever had), the filet and ribeye steaks for dinner with the au gratin potatoes, also a must, and the creamed corn. Our server Allanah was so sweet and accommodating in helping us find the best bottle of wine to go with our meal and made food suggestions. Highly recommend visiting B&B Chophouse!
Had such a wonderful Thanksgiving meal this evening. All the staff was friendly.. we had reservations and had no problem being seated on time. Our waiter Rick was prompt friendly and took great care of us! The food was nothing short of Fabolous! Two of us did the traditional turkey Dinner and three of us did the prime rib which was amazing 😍. I highly recommend this place. They do a great everyday menu but tonight was amazing!
B&B Chophouse was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole meal feel special. Our food came out hot and exactly as ordered, and the steak was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Great ambiance, great drinks, and a very polished experience overall.
It was a delightful experience; I had a Tomahawk steak that was prepared perfectly and my wife had a gourmet steak 😂 it was delicious as well. I have absolutely no complaints about this experience. The waitstaff were exceptionally polite, and the greeting was prompt with no waiting time. I highly recommend B&B to anyone who appreciates quality meat; you will not be disappointed.
WoW- such a little honey hole of a steakhouse we lucked into it from a bartender’s rec. gorgeous spot with an Impressive menu & shockingly reasonable prices for the high quality. After our whiskey fight (just $16), We got brown sugar bourbon ribeye - Oustanding! Then did a unique selection of sides: herbed risotto, grilled cheesy cream corn (yes!) and some dang good creamed spinach- and those dang rolls are little addictive pillows of yeast. . Don’t sleep on this one y’all— great atmosphere hiding in a strip mall disguise. Ask for Hailey’s section- she’s a stand-out for service with great personality.
First time and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious and flavorful. Service was top tier! Thank you Lea for outstanding service! You were accommodating and responsive! ❤️
This place is fantastic! The Caesar salad was exceptional, and the chopped salad was good. The prime rib dinner is an incredible $19.99 deal, available only on Wednesdays. Surprisingly, the steak burger is the best burger we’ve had in SRQ, and we’ve tried many. Lea, our server, provided exceptional service. She’s a hardworking, attentive, and knowledgeable individual who made great recommendations. Highly recommend asking for Lea. She made the experience even better. The interior is cool, with whiskey-themed drinks and sauces. Live music on Fridays, Saturdays, and brunch. My gym buddy has been raving about this place for months. We are going to add this to the “regular list.” All taste. Not hype.
Service and atmosphere were great. There was a mistake on our food order and it was immediately corrected. "Bad" karaoke was very entertaining and had the whole place singing along. Steak was perfect as was the flight of bourbon!
First time and we will definitely be back! We were a large party of 10, our waitress - Misha was amazing, very attentive, always around at the right time! Everything came out perfect and anything that was needed showed up right away after requesting it. All the food was cooked to perfection, excellent bourbon menu as well! Highly recommend their single barrel 1792 pick!
B&B Chophouse and Market was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, elegant, warm, and inviting. The service was excellent from start to finish; attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. And the food… amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. Every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. This experience truly made my birthday special, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. I highly recommend B&B Chop House and will definitely be back!
A Pleasantly Surprising 5-Star Experience at B&B Chophouse and Market! At first glance, I wasn't sure what to expect from B&B Chophouse and Market in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The front windows are covered in ads that make it look more like a butcher shop or deli than a full restaurant. My wife and friends were hesitant, and we even debated whether to go in—but curiosity won out, and I'm so glad it did!As soon as I opened the door, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming gentleman named Kit (the manager/owner). He immediately sensed our reluctance and was incredibly understanding and accommodating. Kit couldn't have been a better host—he put us at ease right away and made us feel like valued guests. He led us to a lovely table overlooking the beautiful outdoor patio and smoothly handed us off to our server, Lea. What a professional transition! Lea was hands-down one of the best servers we've ever had. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured every detail was perfect, truly elevating our entire dining experience. Now, the food—wow! The tuna appetizer was fresh and flavorful, the pork chop was incredibly moist and delicious, and the scallops were the best I've ever had—perfectly seared and tender. My Tomahawk short rib literally fell off the bone and was packed with rich, tasty flavor. Huge compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff! For dessert, the carrot cake bread pudding was an absolute must-try, paired perfectly with a delicious coffee. The only minor nitpick: My dirty martini was decent (I'd rate it an 8/10), but they'd earn a perfect score if they stocked regular Queen olives instead of just the blue cheese-stuffed ones (not my preference, though they accommodated nicely).Overall, this turned into a fantastic dining experience with top-notch service, outstanding food, and a welcoming vibe. B&B Chophouse and Market is a hidden gem—definitely a must-visit for quality, fresh meals in Lakewood Ranch!
Had an enjoyable experience here for a large ladies dinner (23) outside on the lovely covered patio with plenty of heaters. They split us up into tables of 6 & each table had its own server which was fantastic! We unfortunately couldn't get HH outside & I will come back for that sometime! I enjoyed Knob Creek on a large cube ($10 for a 2 oz pour) & had the prime rib special that was offered on Wed night. It was very good! You are able to change out the side to whatever you want at no additional charge. Our table then got Expresso martinis & shared a bread pudding that was unique in that the bread was thinly sliced but tasty. Inside was dark & cozy & crowded - this place does well on Prime Rib night - make reservations!
It’s a nice casual dining experience with fantastic service. Ricky was very polite and always on time with everything. They had live music which was nice. We had the buffalo shrimp as an appetizer and they were huge and very good. Neither one of us were impressed with the steaks. They were a bit tough. The carrot cake was very good and we recommend it. I only recommend this place for a night out for drinks, atmosphere, and appetizers/dessert, not the food.
For those who expect a watery melting steak don’t come here. For those who, like me, like a good tasty piece of marble meat from pasture cows, this is a good place. Steaks are very good meat, with excellent cuts, and good sides. If you want a classy serious business oriented restaurant, like Capital Grill, don’t come here. If you want a place to have fun, somewhat loud nice people, good music, some dancing with strangers, this is the place. And that is what I wanted last night. Kristen the manager was very accommodating and Halston was a great server. I do think they may improve the coordination between servers, and also train them better on the knowledge of restaurant service, the different libations, and the food. But they try their best. Charcuterie board is poor. Only bacon and common cheese, and lots of fruits. In summary: Drinks are ok, although they run out of champagne. Meat cuts are very good, sides are good, and a fun loud atmosphere with nice people. I’ll be back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ If you’re in the mood for a steakhouse experience that feels like a rollercoaster built by two different contractors who never spoke to each other, then B&B Chophouse is the place. The Good (aka “this is why we stayed past appetizers”) • Atmosphere? Pretty solid. Cozy enough, with privacy seating that makes you feel like you’re plotting either a business deal or a mob hit. • The meat game is strong. The two-for-$89 deal is basically a cheat code: appetizer, salad, steak, and side—like Vegas buffet value but dressed up in a suit. • The Wagyu top sirloin? Chef’s kiss. It made my wife’s standard filet look like it was out here doing JV practice while mine was already in the pros. The Bad (aka “why my Yelp draft was fueled by bourbon regret”) • The deviled eggs “special” were… how do I put this… hard-boiled mediocrity? Straight up 7-Eleven gas station energy. And one of them tried to assassinate me with a bacon rock. Nothing says “romantic dinner” like almost filing a dental claim. • Bourbon bacon? More like pork belly Jell-O. Glazed so heavy it should’ve come with a warning label: “slippery when chewed.” • Service started strong, then quickly turned into a magic act. My water and cocktail disappeared—and never reappeared. Inside + outside sections for one server? Not the vibe. • The red wine was straight up vinegar cosplay. Sent it back… and then sat for 25 minutes waiting for the replacement that never came. Finally canceled it, but by then my steak was half gone and my soul fully crushed. Final Verdict B&B Chophouse is basically that friend who shows up in a designer suit but forgets deodorant. The steaks are phenomenal, but the service fumbles so hard you’d think they were paid by the opposing team. If you’re coming strictly for the meat, you’ll be happy. If you want the whole steakhouse experience with smooth service and flowing wine? Might wanna BYOB—Bring Your Own Bartender. 🍷🥩
Food was not good at all. Do not recommend. The only thing that was good here was the soup. The steak was very hard & chewy, making it hard to even cut with a sharp knife. I couldn’t even eat it all. Not good. The side of cream corn was recommended & it tasted like canned corn with a plastic after taste. The potato’s that were also recommended were not good at all, no flavor and just bland. The carrot cake was dry & tasted store bought. I do recommend the soup if you are eating here, but nothing else.
A little disappointed as we wanted to love this place and it had good reviews but a lot of the reviews warned of the tough meat but we wanted to give it a try ourselves. We went here for the first time a few days ago and we had the B&B Bluegrass Chopped salad, the Baby Wedges and the Berries & Brie salads. All were very fresh and good but the Wedge was outstanding and flavorful. We also had the 7 oz. Fillet Oscar style which was very flavorful but tough for a Fillet and a lobster tail that was a bit undercooked on the inside even though it had a char on the outside, the Bourbon Brown Sugar Cowboy Ribeye which was also very flavorful but tough and the 14 oz. slow roasted Prime Rib which was also flavorful but tough. When you took a bit of all of the meats they were a bit stringy and chewy. We also had the Au Gratin Potatoes which were a bit under cooked as the potato was not soft, the Cream of corn was good but needed a little more seasoning, and the Blue Cheese stuffed tomato was just OK. We were very hungry so we did not have the steaks taken back as we did not want to wait and all in all the steaks had great flavor but all were way too tough, not sure where they are sourcing their meats? I have gone to less expensive steak houses and have had more tender Prime Rib, Fillet and Ribeye.
I got a great cocktail off the drink menu before dinner. Off to a good start… it was all downhill from there. Two more cocktails, both we’re very poorly made. One was even the same cocktail as before, just made wrong. Our dinner orders came out wrong. The two of the four steaks were cooked wrong. I got shrimp I didn’t order and we didn’t get the sides we ordered. Service was average at best. The lobster Mac and cheese was bland cheese sauce with a chemical aftertaste and chunks of burnt lobster. This place got two stars instead of one because the quality of beef was outstanding. Truly excellent cuts of meat. Doesn’t do much good if you can’t cook it right though. They also destroyed the meat with so much seasoning that I spent part of my dinner trying to scrape it off (and I ordered mine without the dry rub). Ambiance was pretty nice. Prices were very high and I left feeling like I’d been had my wallet stolen by a pickpocket… which may have been preferable to dining here.
Disappointed with the meal. The fillet & baked potato showed up barely over "room temperature" and was tough and chewy. I don't complain or send food back. I just avoid future visits. The dessert was tasty. On a positive side, the service was good and atmosphere relaxed.
I think the food was a good value and the place is very nice. It looks like an above average steakhouse. The server was a very nice guy. Salads were perfect. My wife's food was perfect. I had a few issues. The steak was not cooked right, it was missing the onions, and the baked potato toppings were wrong. The person who brings the food out, not the server, comes and goes so quick. you don't have time to even make a request. The server was not around for a while, so I was not able to tell anyone so they could correct the issues. When he did come around he took everything back. He brought out the same steak with the onions and a new baked potato. He said the staff had determined the steak was actually cooked correctly. I guess they ordered and paid for it? Probably one visit was enough.
The service was not great at all. Our waitress took forever to come and speak to us each time. The steak was mediocre, and the au gratin potatoes were absolutely atrocious. I don’t think I’ve ever had a potato I didn’t like, but this was horrible!! My meal is over 40 bucks so I would’ve expected it to be better quality. I probably wouldn’t return here
The restaurant overall is great. I came for my birthday last Friday and loved it so much I had to bring someone else with me. I took my husband and mother in law for dinner and unfortunately they did not have the same amazing experience that I bragged about. The food and drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress ruined what could have been an amazing experience in the end by questioning her gratuity. We left the majority of her gratuity in cash and planned to put the rest on the card. Before that could happen, she was at our table as we were packing up asking if her service was poor because she was not pleased with the tip that we left. Not knowing she was getting more, she put the nastiest taste in my mouth and now I’ll never visit again. My husband and mother in law now have no desire to return now. Outside of her forgetting some of our food and the kitchen being very slow on getting food out, we had no complaints. We did ask for baked potatoes and proceeded to see people get baked potatoes, but whatever. Anyhow, good food, good atmosphere, but an ignorant wait staff can mess up the whole vibe.
I added pictures so that you know we were here & how disappointed you made myself & my guest I brought with me plus I paid my entire tab (over $250) anyhow because I don’t want to be that person but the more I’ve thought about it the more I’ve gotten angered by our experience. 1st, we had lunch there & it was very good. The bartender recommended we come back on Friday night because there would be music so we made a reservation right then, that was a joke. We were seated so far from the music we couldn’t hear it (even though I explained that’s why we were there & there were empty tables closer). Our drinks were good but they brought us the same drink twice even though we requested a different one, so she took it and brought us back the exact same drink (exactly our existing drinks, see pictures). Then we ordered our steaks medium but the steaks were well done (hard to see in the dark, then as you get into it you can tell clearly- $54 cowboy steaks). They also told us they were out of our appetizer but then it showed up after we already ordered different ones (still on the bill & I paid it). If you’re from out of town, avoid this place, they only focus on their regulars. I left them a note & received no follow up call (they called me that day so they knew who I was & my number). Service was mediocre at best but maybe to be expected at a fast food joint but not somewhere where your bill will be $300!
It had been some time since my husband were at B&B Chophouse and last night we were reminded why we hadn't gone back. It started when we walked in and were told that our reservation had been cancelled. (I later saw in my email that the RESTAURANT had cancelled our 8:00 pm reservation just before 4:00 pm. No reason was provided.) The host said that is no big deal and he could seat us, but was rude as he took us to the table, close to the bar where very loud live music was being played. First, we ordered their best bottle of wine and the server told us they had been out of that wine for months. We settled on the next best choice, which was mediocre. We ordered the southern crabcakes, which would have had had no flavor whatsoever, except for the sauce, which was also nearly tastless. We didn't finish them and, it turned out, the crabcakes were a complete waste of money. We then had a salad with zero flavor. (I didn't even know it was possible to make a terrible salad, but B&B managed to do that.) Next I had twin lobster tails and asparagas and my husband had a 6 oz filet with an added lobster tail and asparagas. The lobster had something on the top, which slide off during service. It was overcooked, so it was very dry and they forgot to bring the melted butter. I didn't even eat half of my first tail. The filet was not over cooked, but it was truly tough and basically inedible. We packed up the rest of our entrees, since most of the meal was left. We then ordered desert, the bread pudding. The server suggested that we get the half order since the full order is large, which we appreciated. We wanted espresso with desert, but they don't have espresso, which was disappointing. We got our bill (over $300 for mediocre wine and food that was not edible), paid it and left with our leftovers in a container, which we threw in the garbage can in the parking lot. I wish that this restaurant was great, since it is close to home, but we will never be returning, as there are other much better restaurants, with better chefs who use quality ingredients and understand customer service. Our server was fine and we tipped her well, but the host, kitchen, and food runner were not good nor welcoming.
