We enjoyed a beautiful evening out at the Charq Restaurant. The food was divine! The ambiance enhanced our corporate night out. The staff was impeccable. Our waiter Besi enhanced our night by being friendly, courteous and helpful! We will definitely recommend our friends to come, and will be back for more memorable nights at the Charq.

You pull into the golf course and you are hit with beautiful views right away. What a way to start your night. The restaurant is right through the double grand entrance doors to the ballroom. You are greeted by the staff who check your reservation and then seated. The ambience is really nicely set. High ceilings make you feel a bit closer then usual. The chairs were comfortable and the tables were set perfectly. The staff were all very friendly. Now let's get to the Juicy parts the food. We had 2 entrées the Beef Bou and the lamb something. The lamb something was delicious really out of this world the way they had it sitting on the rice was like when a toddler sits in time out. Was just sitting there so beautifully and still. The beef was great the bun it came on though was a bit to chewy for my taste but the plating and the meat were both exquisite. Then after what seemed like forever our steaks finally arrived. At first I was taken a bit back by the portion size it seemed a bit off. But after I took my first bite into my perfectly cooked steak I knew it was well worth the wait. The steak was Mamish A taste of heaven perfectly seasoned and all. The jam sauce it came with was a bit plain for me. But the steak itself was really enough it didn't really need much sauce. Our server John was really delightful and sweet. We are Definitely looking forward to going back here.

Wow!! Unbelievable. The best service. Started out with a great martini and a bottle of wine. Then on the to the best appetizer. The sliders were out of control. Then the entrees, the rib eye was on another level. Then the desserts were the best. I would recommend and 100% come back.

You can't judge a restaurant unless you taste it all. So we ordered the entire menu. Great food, great ambiance but best of all the service here is better than any steak house in New Jersey.

The ambience was really nice, superb service, would definitely return. To he boneless ribeye was next level, cooked to a perfect medium rare with the most incredible sauce accompaniment.

I must say I’m not easily impressed, but I was really impressed with everything- the waiters, the ambiance, the background music, and most importantly the food! Everything was great! I’ll definitely be back here, 10/10 Oh, and I can’t forget to mention Esrar who was the best waiter!

CharQ serves up perfectly cooked, flavorful meat with excellent sides. The food came out fast, and the service was great. A welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-try. Highly recommend!

Just had an amazing dining experience! Elgun, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and provided top-notch service. The staff was also super accommodating, welcoming us without a reservation – really appreciated that! The steak and appetizers were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Unreal dinning experience. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name, but the main guy serving us was the absolute best. Showed up for an early business dinner. We asked him to give us the full experience and he did not disappoint. That flaming tomahawk is a beast but melted in your mouth. Would love to be back again.

First of all the atmosphere is perfection. Super comfy, romantic, and beautiful. Our waiter Bessi was THE BEST WAITER!! he goes “you want a good drink, I got you” proceeds to bring me the most delicious drink. The food came (and went 😁) sooo quickly we ordered and before we could even start schmoozing the food was there! Don’t get me started on the quality everything was LITERALLY melt in your mouth delicious hands down my new favorite restaurant kudos to you guys for having the best place on earth!

I was recommended this restaurant by friends in the area and let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint. The food was so tasty, and the sushi was the gem for me, I had my first raw sushi experience and it was delicious. I The staff were friendly, the food was fresh, everything nice and clean and the service amazing. I will definitely come back here again when I’m in town next time. I highly recommend the Sofia Roll, Mongolian beef, the Branzino WOW, and the boneless ribeye was was cooked to perfection and tender 🤤 Thank you Allen!!

Char Q in Lakewood is truly a one-of-a-kind culinary and cultural experience. The food is exquisite — truly extraordinary. Our waiter, Bessie, was absolutely amazing — all the way from Albania. Chef Christian, who speaks Russian thanks to his wife, cooking in a kosher restaurant in New Jersey. And us — a Russian-Ukrainian Jewish family — enjoying an unforgettable dinner, surrounded by wonderful people.

Got the wet aged tomahawk steak. Steak was great. The tomato and potato accompanying it were disappointingly pedestrian. Service was amazing. Great ambiance. The place is also in a golf club and signage wasn't obvious so finding it at night was challenging.

The food and ambiance is pretty good here. Service is a bit of a toss up depending who you get but its not bad. Please change the name of the menu item you call "rack of lamb" to lamb chops which is what it actually is. Very deceptive.

Amazing! I walked in and was very skeptical about the menu at first. Our superb waiter Engul was extremely helpful when choosing the menu. Everything was delicious. A+ service and professionalism. We tried the tacos and beef sliders for appetizers. Only complaint is that it’s pretty expensive and portions are not so big.

Overall pretty good food. Portions were quite small. And the one waiter for 20 tables (very understaffed) didn’t meet the general standards expected of a waiter.

Me and my husband went out to this supposedly fancy restaurant for dinner, but experience was awful. We have been to plenty nice restaurants in NY and other states, but nothing compares to this place. We ordered chef special soup that was super salty and meat in it didn’t taste fresh. Meat board that costed $48 had only two kind of meats and was super salty, it also had few pickled vegetables like carrots, and it caused me allergic reaction. I tried telling it to waiter but he was running around he couldn’t come to our table. We ordered french fries, that was supposed come out together with the steak, but it didn’t. We tried catching attention of waiter but he was busy with other people. Then when he finally came over, his reaction was: “Oh French fries never arrived? Let me get it for you”… Waited for at least half hour, finished cold steak and still never got our French fries. After finishing our meal, waiter finally came back and realizing that we never got our fries, responded: “Oh, fries never made out, I will not charge you for it(like it was some noble thing to do)” Cocktails were good(probably the only thing in this place) Major disappointment, since this venue located in great location and designed very cozy. Overpriced , not that tasty and mistakes treated like a norm… Definitely not coming back and not recommend to anyone. There are better places both price wise and taste wise.
