I love the one in Costa Mesa which I think is the original one. I always used to go there as a kid and then we moved over to Huntington Beach and I haven't been back in about 10 years. I'm excited to try this one to see if it's just as great if not better then the one in CM.

If you're looking for a place that makes you feel like ur at abulieta's house this is ur spot. The Chile verde burrito was flavorful. The green sauce alone was to die for with no spice at all but it still gave the homemade tortilla such a pleasant flavor. The meat inside of the Chile verde burrito was actually moist, different from what most places do when they over cook it. So glad I found this place right in our neighborhood.

Everyone who works here is friendly and gives great service. They have the best ranchero sauce around, it's a yellow sauce that will blow your mind. Their salsa is fresh and perfectly spicy. All of my friends that I bring here fall in love with their menu. Fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They make a good michelada.

Omgosh!!!! Mi Casa is my house!!! Food taste like home cook meals! The Seasoning of the chicken, beans and rice!!! I think I'm addicted. Will definitely bring my family here! I ordered green chicken enchiladas combo! Soooooo good! The salsa was spicy but BOMB! CHIPS were thin and crispy man... smh.. if you try it you wont regret it! If not your missing out on some delicious home cook flavor! The gentleman were so attentive, generous and soft spoken. No coffee ( you can't gave Frappuccino everywhere you go lol) but I'm okay with that!

My wife is usually a unsatisfied customer when it comes to authentic Mexican food but she enjoyed this place and said it's her new come to place -since her old favorite Mexican restaurant place got new management and changed up the menu- when she wants a Mexican dish.

Very, very outstanding. The food is delicious. I had their chorizo con huevo plate and it was really good, not greasy. My wife loved their menudo and you know a lot of places claim theirs is good but Mi Casa is excellent. The staff is always very friendly with a smile and the owner makes you feel welcomed by tending to whatever you need. Mi Casa is definitely a place to keep on your favorite Google maps list.

I love the atmosphere and family oriented and run restaurant. They prepare the food just as you would waiting for grandma to get done with some really delicious food. It's fairly quick though for what is expected. The family is very pleasant and professional, they serve drinks and chips with salsa before your food and the salsa is very good traditional and hotter on some days. It was a really great lunch we had and I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot.

Food is really good and excellent service. The only thing I didn't like was that they do not have fountain sodas. They had bottles of soda.

Heard about this place on tik tok.. I’m so glad I did I got the 3 item combo 2 green chicken enchiladas and 1 red cheese w beans and rice everything was so delicious. The chicken was nice and tender and very flavorful. The rice was fluffy and the beans were good. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful he was making the schedule for the employees and still answered all of my questions! I will be back!

Mi Casa is a very nice Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant. We had the combination plate w/two items $16.95. I had an Enchilada and a Chile Relleno with Rice and Beans. I saw Three prices on the menu. ONE ITEM - $14.95 TWO ITEMS - $16.95 THREE ITEMS - $19.95 My husband had a Chile Rojo/Red Chile Burrito. I think they used chunks of shredded beef. It was Very tasty and good. All our food was yummy!!! We'll definitely be back. Employees are very nice and efficient!

Again, authentic flavors, not "rice-a-roni" and "rosarita" beans. The waitress was so friendly and genuine, taking the time to have a conversation and told us a little history of the place. It wasn't too crowded when my husband and I came around 7:00pm but I've seen it crowded and remarked we have to go one day. That day came and we will definitely be returning. I want to go for breakfast next. I wish I took pictures of our food but just got a pic of the quaintness of the restaurant.

The only downer was for as much as they cost the burritos were really small. When a big man wants a big burrito for that price I could have went just about anywhere else and got one much bigger. I knew as soon as I saw it my husband was going to be disappointed! Overall though the food & service was good. But, for a BIG burrito I will go elsewhere

Like having dinner at home with the TV on. Basic dinner with a Mexican theme. Could use a lot more sabor, flavor. But hey, if you don't know how to make a decent chile relleno, they do.

Do you need to improve the waitress experience there's two men there that perhaps needs some more education on the proper way to treat a customer. The waiter said to take my time I think he did that cuz he was going to do other stuff and he took a long time to come back to me to take my order. Plus a tortillas had to get reheated they didn't get heated correctly.

Considering how popular this place has been over the years, it was surprising to see it empty. My friend and I walked into a warm and pretty stuffy restaurant. But our server was attentive and very accommodating to our every request. What a smile! We each ordered the El Jefe breakfast burrito. It's a pretty huge wet burrito to have for breakfast, but I'm not complaining. The scoops of quacamole and sour cream were almost a tiny afterthought, though. Obviously served with a 2 oz scoop, so my friend asked for red sauce and extra sour cream. Our server kept our waters filled with cheer... and water! Then came the bill... 😳 The El Jefe is a $16 burrito. It seems fine since most burritos have gone up in price. A $10 to go burrito is no longer out of the ordinary. But back in my day, you could score a nice chubby one for about $3. Yeah, I know. In my day. But since this is a pretty huge burrito, I'd expect extra condiments at no extra charge... or at least maybe .50. Nope. $2 each. So my friend's burrito was $20. A $20 breakfast burrito. $2 for about 2oz of red sauce and $2 for about a 2 oz scoop of sour cream. That would make a 16 oz tub of sour cream about $16. Same with a can of red or enchilada sauce. I can make that at home with tomato sauce and spices for les than $1. Yes, I understand overhead costs and profit margins. But this is way out of proportion. Perhaps it's the fact that our minimum wage in CA is way over the top. But Mexican food used to be the cheapest you could get. We Mexican Americans can really make something tasty out of not much. Sadly, this will deter our visits here. We won't be back anytime soon. No wonder it was empty. Maybe others will pay a $40 breakfast check for 2. Can't imagine if we'd bought drinks!

WHERE'S THE CHICKEN!!! For a Mexican restaurant run by latins they sure don't know how to make mexican chicken soup. It has no chicken, bits and pieces and the only vegetable they really put in there is big chunks of carrots. Do not recommend, go at your own risk.

We were their on 2/8/26 for dinner about 6pm the two girls working were terrible!! I asked for silverware 3 times, once when our drink ordered was taken, once when our food order was taken, and again after our food was delivered!!!😡 This is not our first time here, but if it was I would never return.💯 The tall waiter was working both sides of the restaurant(and apologized for them, when I asked him to finish our bill just before we left) I got up and talked to the guy working the window and to go orders and he didn't seem to care, his reply was he would tell the female boss!! I consider us regulars as we have been coming here for years. When the 2 brothers and mother ran the place (long before anyone heard of Covid-19). We normally see Cindy and Mariea (before the baby). The two girls were totally lost in the restaurant, they never charged us for our drinks and "forget the tip" it was NOT given. You need to know this or you will lose customer's!!! And from where I was sitting(small room with my back to the glass to the parking lot) others were not happy either!!!

Take out order. Asked for a side order of Queso. Received tiny amount of shredded cheese at $2.00; Taco salad barely had any lettuce. Whole order $52.75. Tried to call, but no answer. Will never go back again.

The food isn't even that good and the worker's could honestly use an improvement in their customer service skills. You would think they would act nice to somebody who looks just like them.

Ordered to go. Got a cocido I didn't get rice, lemon nor onions or side fixings for it. I asked for flour tortillas got corn. The potatoes were big and raw. Ordered a carnitas taco meat very dry.
