We stopped coming to Famous Daves a while back because of one mean server in particular, he was the worst! Today, we came back because we got a gift card for Christmas and WOW I’m impressed! Jess was amazing, very welcoming and nice to us. The food was delicious and a perfect sized portion. I can’t believe I’ve missed out on this yummy BBQ for a few years, I’m back now! This will be a regular spot for me now. Absolutely delicious!
Our waitress Famous Jess. Made our lunch like her personality spectacular. Food is great and vibe just the same. Will come back for sure to get a great bite to eat
Famous Jess totally rocked! Drinks came fast! Food came quick! Hot and yummy! We will definitely be back!!!! Thanks Famous Dave’s!!!!!!!
Famous Jess was a great server. Food was tender and good as always. Plenty of food. This is what we had to take home after dinner plus dessert that we’ll eat later.
Food was delicious . Service was great , Jess was our waitress she was great and she very good vive . My husbands first time here and he loved it .
very delicious and worth it the brisket is a little dry so get some sauces with it (dipping brisket in the baked beans is great(
Came in for my free bday desserts & was in and out. I can’t remember her name but the server with the blue hair was LOVELY & deserves a day off
I always enjoy going to famous Dave's, the food is so good. This location is usually not crazy busy and you get fast service.
My husband and I came here for lunch and it was one of the best lunch experiences we've had in a while! Jessica was so nice and professional and here service was empecable in every way. Ki' ya greeted us with her sweet presence and let us decide where we wanted to sit. Jessica then took over with taking our order. She politely helped me decide on a tropical drink while my hubby opted for a beer and the rest was history. We ordered the rib tips for a starter which came fast with fries and it was the bomb and so tender! Then I ordered the sweet water catfish with beans and this creamy, delicious cole slaw and my hubby got the BBQ chicken with this southwestern style Mac and cheese that was delectable! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was just as awesome. The facility was clean, I checked out the bathrooms and they were up to par. Handicapped accessible bathrooms and seating everywhere.
I rate most places because of the quality of service I receive. Today, I sat at the bar and Jessica served me. From start to finish I was well taken care of. Also, this location is full of friendly people. The personnel here always has a smile on their faces and are polite and patient in answering questions. The location is very clean, with a atmosphere free of the chemical smells of industrial cleaning agents. This is not my first time here, but I believe it is my first review. It's the Famous Dave's I always patronize when in Las Vegas!!
My son brought me here for my birthday on yesterday while I'm in town visiting. The food was great as usual. I fell in love with this place many moons. Our server did a great job as well.
Stopped by after having a horrible horrible experience at outback steak house across the street. The service was top tier Famous Jess was the bartender and server and she did not disappoint us from the time we sat down she was so quick and so sweet she also fixed my drink for me when I ordered the wrong thing. Best service for sure. The place it’s self is very bright and clean. The ribtips were soooo good and the coleslaw it was all so good .
We had the dinner platter that feeds 2-3. OMG so good. Ribs, chicken, chopped pork, cornbread, spicy macaroni choice of side for two men and had some extra to take home. Tina took excellent care of us. Found it to be very reasonably priced for good BBQ I did notice that the burgers where very reasonably priced. May have to try them next time, they looked great.
Hey Vegas just moved here from San Antonio TX so you know we love our barbecue! I just love ❤️ ribs especially the Famous Dave's ribs. Usually when I come to this location and there is hardly anyone there to help. I sincerely understand in these difficult times and tough economy it's hard to find good workers so many places are short staffed. Yet, fortunately there was one specific special young lady who helped me that day. Thank you so much Ashlyn ❤️ for your exceptional, lovely, fantastic, wonderful, amazing, fabulous, caring, professional customer service! You are awesome and I wanted you to know you are appreciated. Give that girl a hug 🤗, hand clap 👏 of praise and a raise! 😄 Love 🫶 y'all Famous Dave's and staff. It's truly moments and wonderful workers like Ashlyn that make people feel special, important and want to come back for more. Great people make your business flourish! Ashlyn you're grrreat! 😃 👍Keep up the good work! Many Thanks! 😁 Golden Rule: Also, just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them. Luke 6:31 🌱
I Enjoy this place alot I went there for my Birthday. They have this burnt backend combo meal that is hickory smoked samples of delicious beef. These 4 pretty girls came to my table who worked there and sang happy birthday in perfect harmony, reccomend the baked potato and garlic mashed potatoes.
Consistently delicious! The Tuesday Feast For Two, is $40. All other days $55, but very much worth it.
Famous Jess is the best!! As soon as we see her we know we will have wonderful service and an amazing experience. Thank you for always being so friendly and attentive. 5 stars ever time!! We love Famous Dave's!!
We love coming to Famous Dave’s on our lunch hour! Jessica is amazing! She always remembers us and provides stellar service! Our go to is the 2 meat combo and a Pepsi! Can’t ever go wrong with that.
Famous Dave’s is awesome! The service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. If you have the chance to visit the Rainbow location in Las Vegas, ask for Jess — she was our waitress, and she is the absolute best. A+
Me and my family went to Famous Dave's on Rainbow for lunch, and as always the food was amazing, I had the BBQ salad and what I call Jess's fabulous mudslide. Everything was perfect, our server was Jess, she is incredibly sweet everytime and always takes care of us. I look forward to our weekend lunch.
Server Jessica was great. Food was delicious. Fast but still freshly prepared. I'm already a regular here and this is exactly why I keep coming back!
Famous Jess is amazing! We are a regular and she knows our order. Everything is always perfect and tastes great! She’s always a pleasure to be around.
Jessica is amazing and soo helpful. The food is delicious. Jessica made sure that we were very satisfied with our meal. Wonderful service and great food made a great time for us.
Jess was a very good waitress every time my cup was empty she was there and she made sure we had everything we needed I would definitely go back there she was sweet and kind went above and beyond there was no wait time it was very clean
The young lady with the glasses was in good spirits despite it starting to get hectic. I work in food service so I understand how stressful it can be. Merry Christmas I hope they made it through the day!
Famous Jess was amazing we loved our lunch. The brisket sandwich was amazing. The Wilbur beans are to die for. Yes on desert!!!
Famous Jess was our server and she was amazing. Food was delicious as always, will definitely be coming back!
The manager Ashley was very courteous, kind, and considerate of her customer she definitely exemplifies the art of Customer Service and compassion for her clients. I’d give her a raise if I could.
Grew up eating here and it’s still as good today as it was 15+ years ago. Jess was awesome and took good care of me and my family. It’s great to be able to come to a place that was a part of my childhood and be able to share it with my kids as well. Too many places lose their quality over time, Famous Dave’s is not one of those. If anything they got even better over time.
We love coming here, it’s our to go place for any special occasion in our family. We love the food, specially the feast for two (which is plenty enough for our family of three). Jessica, always gives a great service and she even knows our order with swaps and everything since we’re loyal costumers to this location. We really recommend this place. It’s a 10/10.
My girlfriend and I decided to stop in at famous Dave’s. The best BBQ and service in town. Jessica was our waitress omg what knowledge she has and our drinks were supper delicious. Love her attitude. If you decide to come to this location ask for Jessica you wont be disappointed.
I went to Famous Dave's for lunch this afternoon with my family, I was very pleased as always with the food and service. Jess was our server an as always she made sure my cup was full and always asked if I needed anything. I'm always so happy to have her as our server.
Placed order online with ease. Picked up food with no issues. Friendly person brought out my food in <5 min. Perfect! Only issue I have is I wish these tips came with either 2 slices of bread or some fries. THAT would've made the meal complete. Still yummy 😋 and tender for the most part. Some pieces were a little tough.
My wife really liked the catfish. The ribs are very good, however a dry run offering would be nice. The brisket is a bit fatty but had good flavor. I like the roasted chicken the best and the sides are pretty good especially the coleslaw and fries. Our server Jessica was "perfect" 😁
**Famous Dave's BBQ: A Rich Tribute to Southern Tradition with Room for Enhancement** Famous Dave's in Las Vegas serves as a heartfelt tribute to the time-honored tradition of American barbecue, encapsulating the dedication and passion of its founder, Dave Anderson. His inspiring journey, from being a Native American teenager who struggled in school to becoming a BBQ maestro, infuses each dish with authenticity and a compelling backstory. Inspired by his Southern father's appreciation for the art of street-corner BBQ, Dave spent decades refining his techniques and recipes, resulting in a restaurant that is celebrated for encapsulating the essence and rich flavors of Southern barbecue culture. Upon entering Famous Dave's warm and inviting atmosphere, I was immediately struck by the exceptional service. The staff approached with genuine smiles. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident from the onset. They made it a point to ensure that I felt welcomed and comfortable, promptly refilling drinks and checking in to ensure my meal met my expectations. This attentiveness transformed my dining experience into one that was stress-free and genuinely enjoyable. I chose fried pickles as an appetizer to start my culinary adventure. These were a treat in themselves—crispy on the outside with a tangy zing that perfectly complemented the crunch. The batter was light yet flavorful, elevating the pickles to a delightful beginning to the meal. For my main course, I decided to indulge in the two-meat combo plate, opting for rib tips and hot links. The rib tips were a standout; they were mouthwateringly tender, each bite releasing a satisfying smokiness that spoke to Dave's dedication to perfecting his craft over the years. The hot links brought a delightful spiciness and rich flavor, contrasting the smoky rib tips excellently. Firecracker green beans and a loaded baked potato accompanied these meats. The green beans were vibrant and crisp, seasoned with just the right spice to bring them to life without overpowering the palate. Meanwhile, the loaded baked potato was hearty and comforting, generously filled with toppings that turned it from a simple side into an essential part of the experience. To round off the meal, I savored the cornbread, which provided a sweet, soft finish, beautifully echoing the Southern roots that underpin this cherished cuisine. While every dish showcased remarkable flavors and authenticity, there remained a subtle opportunity for refinement that could elevate Famous Dave's to an unparalleled five-star level. Although the flavors were robust and undeniably enjoyable, they might benefit from a nuanced layering of tastes and complexities that would take the BBQ offerings to the next level. Nevertheless, the essence of Famous Dave's creates a memorable dining experience, honoring the hard-fought vision of its founder. For anyone who appreciates authentic, Southern-inspired barbecue, this establishment stands out as a true gem in the vibrant culinary landscape of Las Vegas, making it a spot well worth visiting.
Great place. Awesome food we went to celebrate my b-day and it wasn't crowded. Ribs were delicious 😋 my teenager sons were fascinated with them. My wife fall in love with one of their BBQ sauce spicy. Our server §onny was so helpful and polite.
Rib tips weren’t tender at all….brisket was really good with that sauce…the Mac n cheese has corn in it…it’s not nasty it’s just different. Beans were good and the cornbread was good and slightly sweet.
We've been to several Famous Dave's, but this was our first time at this location. The food wasn't as good we've had at other locations. They also seem to add on a $1 for this or $2 for that. This location wasn't busy, but our table still was missing napkins and sauce. It wasn't the best experience we've had. Unfortunate. We like this restaurant chain.
Management is poor. 2 waitresses doing everything while Management only came out front to deal with complaints, several. Catfish had too much breading. Other food was cold. Togo section not managed appropriately so they have to come in restaurant to complain. Overpriced, $55 for 1 person in a casual restaurant is rediculous when the food is subpar at best. Filthy beverage menu.
I love Famous Dave’s; it is one of my favorite barbecue places, and every time I go in, I usually have a great experience. How ever this time I noticed that there was a huge oversight problem in that restaurant. First of all, there were no pens for them to take orders. There was no cash in the registers, and the cashiers were clearly overwhelmed and stressed. There was a young Caucasian lady with moon earrings who was taking orders and answering the phone. I could tell she was really busy, but another young lady that was African American came up to the counter to help her with orders. The girl with the moon earrings was so rude! The other girl finished a customer’s order and needed a pen for the customer to sign the receipt. She asked the girl with the moon earrings if she could borrow her pen, and she responded, “You can go ask one of the managers for your own pen. I only have one.” So the other girl left the customer standing at the register with at least four other customers waiting in line behind him, including myself. When I finally got up to the register to pick up my order, the African American young lady that came to help rang up my order but had to switch to another register for a cash payment. There were no singles in the drawer, so she again asked the girl with the moon earrings for assistance. She said, “Do you have change for a five? I don’t have any ones.” Her response, again right in front of a lobby full of customers, was, “You need to go ask the manager for change.” She handed her the ones, and I was able to complete my order. I told her in the store, “Wow, you are so rude,” and I asked to speak with a manager. I could tell from the other girl’s face and from my previous experience in hostile work environments that there would be retaliation from the staff if she told the supervisor. I was not able to speak with a manager today, but I hope someone takes this review seriously and makes some changes to the management and oversight of their operations. I do not fault the cashiers for this type of behavior. There should be supervision or management in place so these type of situations do not occur. The employees were left on their own without the supplies they needed and were overwhelmed with calls and in-store orders. As I said I love Famous Dave’s; the food is amazing, and every time I go in, I usually have a great experience. Unfortunately, this time was different.
The food is delicious, when you actually get it. Service here is absolutely horrible... We waited 10 minutes just to put in our order. The food is slow to come out as well.... New meaning to slow cooked, AND slow service. I like the food and they have good value specials but don't come hungry or you'll get hangry. We got the $8 wings on Wingsday, baked, sauce on the side, delicious and filling. Been here a couple times and never seen a manager.
My waitress was amazing, but the food .. very disappointed.. my brisket burnt ends tasted like it was cut from the most dry part of the whole brisket. The burnt ends were drier and tougher than my sliced brisket. Couldn't eat more than half of them because they were just too tough which is the exact opposite of what burnt ends should be. Grilled pineapples were the highlight of my husband and Is meal. The chicken wings sucked. Catfish fingers were burned and the crust tasted hard as opposed to crispy. Overall just wasn't pleased.
This is NOT a cobbler, IF anything it's a pie.. but even a pie SHOULD BE COOKED. My husband bought 5 or 6 of these last night and this is what we got. It's literally inedible, the dough is COMPLETELY raw! I tried to even heat it to be able to eat it and it just turned to mush.. You SHOULD be ashamed and embarrassed to even give this to anyone. You know it doesn't even taste good when 3 children under the age of 10 all take ONE bite and say they don't want it. Y'all need to get your old staff back. We been going here since it opened and it's gone WAY down hill in the past 2 years. I was thinking I'd bring these back today and get our money back but then I figured, for what.. Y'all apparently don't care about customers anymore or losing them so not wasting my time or gas.
My father and his wife brought me to this location for dinner three days ago. The restaurant was clean the service was good but the food was not. I had a burger with cheese and a side salad. My father had the combo of barbecue chicken no sauce brisket no sauce with broccoli for the side and potatoes. My father's wife had the catfish strips with baked beans. The burger patty that they serve me tasted Frozen not fresh and was not hot and juicy when it came out it was dry and tasteless the salad that was served to me was okay but not great. My dad's brisket and chicken and broccoli and potatoes he said were okay but not what he remembers before coronavirus. His wife said that the catfish strips were so overcooked she couldn't eat them and burnt so she could not finish her meal. I have read the reviews on this restaurant and it gets pretty good reviews so I don't understand why this was such a bad night and it being a Saturday night the restaurant was not busy so it made us Wonder? Maybe in a few months we will come back and give it a try again but for now I couldn't recommend this restaurant to friends and family thanks.
Thanks to manager, Chris, who saved the day. I used to think that this location had their stuff together until last week. I placed an order online and my ordered was supposed to be ready at 7:30pm. I arrive at 7:45pm to ensure my order has had enough time for them to cook and get packed for me to pick up. Well...my order wasn't ready nor the other 6 people waiting that placed orders online. I waited not one hour but 1 hour and 45 minutes before my order was ready. Then, I was told that the dessert that I ordered, bread pudding, was no longer available. So after waiting 15 minutes for the manager to come speak with me all he said was they didn't have anymore and I could come another day to get it. I was NOT offered any kind of discount or additional food for my additional time I spent waiting and for them being so unorganized that their website was still selling something you didn't have. Guess what? I wasn't the only one. Someone else waiting wanted banana pudding and it was sold out. The staff told the person to choose another dessert. She went on to choose two other dessert items to find those were sold out too. The lady went about her way with the remainder of her order but disappointed about the dessert. The manager didn't even attempt to make it right from there. I had the fried catfish which was room temperature when I received it. It was as if it had been cooked earlier and was just sitting out on the counter waiting for someone to order catfish. It was fried very hard and it had so much pepper on it, we couldn't eat it. Last month or so, the catfish was so salty that we couldn't eat it. I told the staff and the person just said okay. Considering the amount of time I waited at the restaurant after the food was supposed to be ready, I was expecting hot food. Fast forward to a week later. I call and ask if they have bread pudding available. The lady that answered said yes. I told her that I was owed bread pudding from the previous week. She didn't seem to be concerned. I drive her as soon as I hang up and when I arrive, there is no bread pudding. I asked to speak to a manager. After several minutes, a lady appears to say she's the manager and knows about what happened last week. She assured me they had cooked bread pudding but it needed an hour to cool before they could sell it. I left my name and phone number and asked to be called when they have the bread pudding available and I will come later to pick up only when they have it available and set aside with my name on it. An hour is approaching and no call yet. I guess to appease me, you've decided to give me two pieces of bread pudding. At this point, you owe me an entire meal and then some. All of this back and forth is ridiculous. This is definitely Not good customer service. I would NOT recommend this location to my worst enemy. Corporate needs to send Undercover Boss here because you ALL need to be retrained. Even Job, the most patient man, would be done with you by now. To save yourself time, money, wear and tear on your car, gas, and a whole lof of frustration, just don't even go to Famous Dave's and forget they exist. Maybe one day corporate will decide to come see what's happening here firsthand. It's evident that the staff do NOT care and might not ever care at this point.
Was arriving for dinner with my wife and 2 kids, when parked we were getting the kids out of the car when my wife saw a 16 year old girl with purple hair, wife said she looked like the female version of Thanos from Squid Games with a fanous daves uniform and hat- little girl swung the front doors wife open giving another car the middle finger. We immediately got back in and left to Chic--Fil-A next door, highly unprofessional and will never return. Stop hiring brats and hire real workers.
I eat alot of bbq and I’m also from Texas so I know good bbq. I ordered from this place and I must say I’m really disappointed in the bbq here. It was sooooo nasty and tasteless, the brisket was moist but not seasoned at all and the burnt ends was small as baby toes. I won’t be ordering from here again ever.
The fries were good but the pineapple steaks were hard as a rock. Clearly not the fleshy part of the pineapple served. The ribs were small and 90% fat. Absolutely a waste of money to spend over $20 for fries. Not sure that I will return. It’s just not enjoyable to eat out anymore. Restaurants cutting corners and serving inedible food.
We ordered the feast for 2. It was not very good. It was on a Sunday and they had just opened. We thought they were closed. There were no cars in the parking lot. It was strange. The ribs ok, no links, chicken was old, coleslaw was horrible, beans were good, fries ok and muffins ok. I thought it would have been better and I won't go back to this place again. Please be careful at what is served to you. It's wasn't worth what i received.
I ordered to-go Wednesday night, the service and food was amazing. It was the guests who made this experience horrible and memorable. I was sitting at the bar while I was waiting and a door dasher came in to pick up an order. The worker kindly asked to confirm the order but set it on the counter and the man snatched it and said you’re calling me a thief then she stated it was just her policy then he taunted her as he walked out saying he never had it confirmed. Also at the bar an extremely rude couple to an older server who was trying to help them out. I don’t know what has gotten into peoples heads these days but I’m sorry to famous Dave’s!
