I usually come in for my usual sundae 1x month. Staff remembers me and orders it right up with no wait time. I have been coming to Friendly’s ever since my children were young for the “happy ending meals” - the best!!

Had a great lunch. Our waitress was excellent, very attentive and Friendly! Clam roll was very tasty. Fries were super, not too greasy. Free sundae and 10% off for seniors is great, too! Can't beat Friendlys!

It was great to see a newish Friendly's doing a nice business. The restaurant chain has had a series of corporate owners, with all the drama and ups and downs that implies. This one's good sized with easy parking. The menu has a mix of classics and very current options plus of course the fabulous ice cream selections. Everything was well prepared. Service was prompt and attentive without being too much. There's a take out/stroll up counter (which had always existed for ice cream) which lends itself to pandemic uses. Highly recommend.

I came here the other day with my family and the service was amazing my waitress I believe her name was Fatima she did a wonderful job and made my dine in time worth it and I will be coming back very soon.

Always a great experience at Friendlys. The weight staff is always nice and pleasant. The food is very tasty on their menu. Usually if we are ordering regular food we eat in and if we’re ordering ice cream we either go pick it up or we have GrubHub deliver it. It’s always top-notch and we’re always excited to get our wonderful sundaes.

Friendly is known for its slow service. I gave it 5 stars because it is known for that but our food came out as ordered, our coffees were always full, and the waitresses have always been pleasant. And of course there is the ice cream!!

I stopped here to eat with some family members a couple weeks ago. The service was a little slow but the food and atmosphere was still enjoyable! I highly recommend their Friend-Zs. My favorite flavors are the birthday cake and the cookies and cream! ^-^

I don't usually go anywhere but Stewarts for ice cream, but I decided to take a chance and go to Friendly's. Upon being seated, I asked my server Fatima for recommendations on what I should order as a huge peanut butter fan. I asked her to surprise me with a sundae and she brought me a peanut butter sundae with hunka chunka peanut butter fudge. It was the best ice cream I have ever had!! She was a great server and I will definitely be coming back for another great recommendation.

Had a great time, went out with my roommate to grab a bite, and Fatima was our waitress, and she was genuinely such a kind soul and made us laugh till our stomach’s hurt, never once was our drinks empty, and maintained a calm consistent pace of the table. 10/10 will be asking for her again.

The service of Friendly’s was excellent. The waiters were very attentive to our needs, and the food was delicious.

We came in around 9:30 after running errands all day, we were just looking fur somewhere to sit down and eat so we could chat with an old friend but we were dissapointed that they were not seating people to eat.. but we understood. People want to go home. We ordered to go and ate in the parking lot. The food was delicious! Hit the spot! The eating situation wasn't ideal but we enjoyed our dinner none the less. :)

We attended my son's school fundraiser and found the staff to be exceptional and very welcoming. However, I was not impressed with the food. My son's order of chicken tenders with fries included a minimal serving of fries. I ordered the turkey supermelt, which appeared to have been hastily assembled when it arrived. My experience was exactly how I remembered it from when I was a child. Did my meal taste like elevated McDonals? Yes. Was it weirdly cold? Also yes. But that’s the nostalgia of it all. It really made my month when I received my monster mash sundae. He was so cute I didn’t want to eat it, but I did and it was delicious! My server was very nice but I don’t remember her name. I wish though however the adult meals were as fun as the children’s meals. I remember as a kid everything was displayed in a fun and cute way, but the adult chicken fingers and fries are just thrown on the plate, which is a little disappointing. The restaurant was decorated really cute and I overall loved the vibes! I can’t wait to go back when I visit again. Side note: the last picture is stickers we got out of the machine and they were so cute. This machine was a fun part of my Friendly’s experience. I love Friendly’s and I’ll always recommend it to others!

When I see one I make sure to stop and grab some delicious ice cream to go. It’s a shame that the chain is slowly dwindling out. Their ice cream is amazing! I had the beef stir fry and my daughter n law the beef brisket meal. Both were delicious. We both got a free medium sundae for joining the rewards program. Service was good too. My granddaughter enjoyed some of her mommy's mashed potatoes thus the baby spoon in the photo

We really enjoyed our dinner. The atmosphere was pleasant, not loud or obnoxious like some other restaurants are. This is a quality family restaurant. The staff made us feel at home. The service here is prompt and courteous. I'm always pleased with how kind the wait staff treat us. I highly recommend this Friendly's. The only thing which takes away a star is the menu. While the breakfast and lunch choices are abundant the dinner choices are not. I'd be happy to see more items available for dinner, and in larger portions. Thank you!

We drove most of the day for a medical appointment and were looking for a place to dine late at night, my wife and I have worked in the restaurant/hospitality business for over 30 years, so we know what it's like for the staff to get customers close to closing, after asking if it would be a "bother" to seat us, we were met with mixed reactions, none of them were poor, but no one was excited to have 9 o'clock guest when they close at 10, both the service and atmosphere this visit would have been rated better if our welcome and visit would have been warmly welcomed. The food was hot and delicious!

I have not been to a Friendly's restaurant in many years but I remembered the fun times I had there with my girls. Always good food and the service was wonderful by the waiter whom I unfortunately forgot his name. Was very nice. Definitely didn't disappoint at all. Will definitely take my grown girls there sometime soon to reminisce about old times.

Food was ok. There was a single server and she was very busy and stressed. She did her best but completely unfair to have so many folks eating in and almost no help.

I got a create your own sundae. I got vanilla ice cream w/ M&M's and reese cups. It was delicious but I was a little disappointed that the only reese I got was the one big one on top.

Lobster roll was pretty good. Calories posted for menu items. Otherwise there for nostalgia. And seniors receive a small sundae with entree purchase. Booth seating roomier than I remembered.

This place was really cool as far as delivery goes order was ready in no time customer service was smooth and friendly 😂 and food was packaged nicely 😎 👌.

I eat at Friendlys far too often for the incredible reeces pieces sundae at the end. :) I love the crispy chicken salad with honey mustard so I like to think it balances out. I always plan ahead and order immediately upon seating, order my ice cream while I'm still eating the salad, and request the bill when the ice cream arrives. Why? Because they are always understaffed and take far too long to provide food. The servers are always frazzled and overworked. I think thats a atatement for all chain restaurants now, but Friendly's is unfortunately consistant with poor waiters and longer than normal food prep times. A salad and an icecream should not take 45 minutes each time. (I even drink only water!)

There were 0 customers in the restaurant. I Stood at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone bothered to notice or help.

Waitress (Juanita) did an excellent job considering she was working all alone during the start of a pretty busy lunch. Table and booth seats were dirty, likely from the night before as I arrived shortly after they opened. That should NOT be acceptable. Not ever! Management is definitely at fault on that one. Food was average. Burger was overcooked (like shoe leather) and the fries were not hot enough. Juanita needed to ask how I wanted that cooked, unless they only cook it one way. My happy ending sundae was done wrong but because the waitress was so busy, I took it as it was. Overall....kudos to Juanita for being able to go it alone as she did. That said, the overall experience was average at best.

Food is good as any other friendlies, however they are ALWAYS under staffed. They have enough customers but seems like the owner refuses to hire more workers. The current employees do their best but the understaffing causes major delays in the restaurant.

Wanted to purchase box ice cream from Friendly's,but there was not so much variety, (maybe stocked out), bought Neapolitan (Box Ice cream).Surprisingly, it was bit pricey compared to Walmart (Idk, why). But,taste is quite good.Overall, hope to visit there again.

The food was mediocre at best. I lost my key there and called in the next day to see if it was still there. The closing manager was also the opening manager for the next day and seemed to not care at all about it. I asked if they could at least check to see if it was there, and the manager refused and said nobody came to them about a key and apologized but I could tell the apology was insincere. Manager did not even bother to take my number down in case they did find the key. Later that night, we stopped by and it turns out they actually did have my key. Customer service is mediocre and none of the employees really care about the people they are serving. If you are looking for great customer service, this is NOT the place.

I have been to this location many times over a span of about 10 years. The last year or two the wait for your food has been extremely long. Even when they don't appear to be busy. I recently went with my family. My sandwich had chicken tenders that were hard and overcooked. My daughter's also were. My husband said his food was good but cold. Took forever to get the food to the table. They had at least 3 waitresses that I saw and only about 8 tables during the whole time that we were there. But took forever for the waitress to return for refills. You could see into part of the kitchen from where we were sitting, there was a big mess of food all over the floor. We got ice creams to go. Some were missing and I didn't realize until we got home. Also before I left and was trying to pay my waitress came over to the table. I thought she saw talking to me. But she was actually talking to someone on her phone with a bluetooth.

The food was ok, however the wait to be seated was horrendous 25 minutes before we were acknowledged and another 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. There was only a handful of people sitting in the dining area. I know places are short handed and I understand that but not to be acknowledged was a little too much. Even if we were just seated I would have not minded having to wait to order. The waitress was very nice and apologized she was very good but the wait was way to long to be seated, especially when they see you standing there and not saying sorry I or we will be with you shortly.. I will think twice before going back.☹😡

Haven't gone to Friendly's in years but thought it would be a nice nostalgic dinner with the family. It's cleaner than it used to be but the service was absolutely terrible and the food was not good. There was something black stuck to the rim of my drinking glass, my burger was super greasy with barely any sauce, the fries were cold, and my sundae came in a happy ending dish instead of the big dish it was supposed to (they still charged full price but gave half the sundae) and also had a huge chunk of gross tasting ice in the middle of it. Never going again. No more nostalgia for me.

Horrible service. Employees do not acknowledge your presence and simply walk right by you. Customers will wait forever to order anything "to go", especially if Nick is working the front counter. The servers in general are rude and talk about their customers in the kitchen when they think that they can't be heard. I've seen this firsthand! Bill the manager has no customer service/error resolution skills whatsoever and should be fired immediately. Additionally, this restaurant is always a mess, leaving me wondering how in the world they even pass regular health inspections. Save your money and go somewhere else, where employees value their paying customers and want to provide good service (as they rely mainly on tips). I have been in the food and beverage industry myself for 15+ years and I am appalled by the lack of customer service this restaurant provides. Chain restaurant or not, there's no excuse for providing anything less than top-notch service! I personally will not go back to the Hoosick Street location and I urge regional management to highly consider shutting this location down permanently, as the staff is nothing but an embarrassment to their company. Pitiful place!

Worse dinning experience I have had with friendlys in a long time we were at this location for over two hours between waiting and been served. First we got sit and it took about 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and ask us about our drinks. By the time the waiter came back we were ready to order we ordered everything including the appetizer, the appetizer were the mini mozzarella sticks the appetizer took 20 minutes to arrive to the table. The appetizer was cold and I can tell it was sitting in the hot window for over 15 minutes. After the appetizer our meal took at least 35 minutes for the to arrive. Once our meal we're done we had desserts the were included with our meal we waited another 20 minutes. At this point our waiter had brought us the receipt the had discounted 9.98 dollars out of the bill but charged us for a whole kids dessert and a medium sundae the was supposed to be an upgrade for my adult meal the shouldve been only a 2 dollar upcharge it went up to a 7.99, my bill was 81 dollars after all the headaches and the wait after discussing the issue with the manager she try to tell me the what she discounted was fairly enough, I told her it was impossible the I was going to paid for a full bill after the horrible service I just had. At the end I paid 48 dollar and I still feel like my entire bill shouldve been free. This location is not even worth have open. This is the worse experience I had in any restaurant in the area No wonder why the locations are closing up ad friendlys are disappearing!!!!.

I gave the food a two, but we left before we ate anything. We were promptly seated, twenty minutes later the waitress came to take our order. 60 minutes after that we left when we still had not even gotten our drinks. If we had at least just gotten our drinks we would have been fine. It was when the waitress past our table and our son asked me when the drinks would be here and she rolled her eyes that I was just done waiting. ...I would like to add that the dining area was not slammed and we did inform them that we were leaving.

Came in over an hour before close. Before seating us we were told it would be at least an hour to eat because a big party had just sat. They were still taking off their coats. We told the hostess we could order right away and she said they have to take orders in the order people arrive- which is obviously nonsense. They clearly didn’t want our business so we left-.

I was so excited to visit a Friendly's again, since all the Ohio locations closed. My husband and I were traveling back home from Maine, and made the effort to stop. It was approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 20th. We hadn't even made it through the doors, when we were met by a woman that stated that there was only one cook and one server, so it would be at least 40 minutes until we would be served food. She wasn't the friendliest or most welcoming either, so we decided to continue on our way.

Do not trust with allergies and their ice cream. They do not care what allergies you say you have and take not precautions with their ice cream. almost caused me an allergic reaction.

Ordered a kids meal via DoorDash and my son was very disappointed to find out his ice cream was not packed up in his order. Please do better!

If I can rate them a 0 I would , when my food came out there was a hair right on top of my fries , I take the bun off my burger and there is another hair right on top of my burger , so my friend who I was with decided to check his and low and behold there was hair on his burger too, the waiter apologized but the chef who made it just gave me and my friend a nasty glare, I wish I would of gotten his name but he is an over weight white man with glasses. We left immediately, wasn’t hungry anymore.

I arrived to the building and sat in the pick up area ready to wait for my food. A woman approached the counter and asked me if I was here for a pickup order. I told her I was but I was early. She said nothing to me, just turned around muttering under her breath about how much it annoys her when people come early. She was talking so much and so loudly it was clear she wanted me to hear her. I was trying not to listen and it was making me uncomfortable and sad. I did nothing wrong for her to be mean to me. 20 minutes later, well after my pickup order was due to be done, a man came over and asked me if I was helped. I told him I was waiting for my order and he grabbed a bag of food that was waiting for me probably about ten minutes. I don't know why that lady was so mean to me and why she didn't hand me my bag when she knew it was done. On top of all of this, the food amount was very little! I expected a white container full of fries and my sandwich. Instead I got this pathetic sized bag with a cup full of maybe 10 fries. The utensils I requested nowhere. For $15.55 I was expecting more fries. I'm really upset about this all and it ruined me day. It costs nothing to be kind, I've had bad days at work and I was never mean to a stranger.

On our way back to NJ from Maine, we stopped to grab a bite to eat. We saw a Friendlys sign and turned into the plaza to park. We got excited as there's no longer any near us anymore and we loved the food. That wasn't the case here. My husband ordered the chicken melt and I ordered an appetizer, the fried ravioli with a black and white milkshake and both were unimpressed. My food didn't taste anything like it should (fried ravioli) and my husband's chicken melt wasn't edible, and definitely shouldn't have been sent out looking like that. Although they (the manager) apologized endlessly-that only helps so much. The service had been extremely slow and at one point, we even felt like our waitress just wasn't coming over to our table. They did refund us for the chicken melt but that should be expected with the way it looked. Not only does that mess up fall on staff working up front, but the kitchen staff as well as they sent it out looking like it did. We left disappointed and hungry but at that point, not for food here. Hopefully the food gets better.
