The Restaurant Bar & Grill - Leeds

Had a lovely meal from the lunch menu. Chose Chicken Skewers to start, Fish and Chips and ended with Sticky Toffee Pudding. All food was very tasty, well presented and enjoyed! Forgot to photograph pudding but it was lush. Service very good and surroundings in restaurant pleasant.

Really fantastic meal!! We came for a quick bite to eat but couldn’t resist the Roast Sharing platter which ended up being 10/10! Maria looked after us so well and was so friendly and attentive, she made the meal even better!

Fantastic last night, we celebrated with our friends their 1st anniversary in this special place. We have been there a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The food was incredible (the Treccle experience and the sticky toffee pudding are a must-try), and the staff were excellent, especially Adrián, who looked after us. Gracias!

Ooooh Soo yum. Dined with my family late one evening and the team was amazing. Adrian, our server , recommended the 'Salmon Tiradito' which did not disappoint. In fact, my tastebuds were not prepared for the level of delictability that they incurred eating this starter. This was followed by the steak and frites main, an excellent offer of great value for money with a steak cooked to perfection (medium-rare) accompanied by an exquisite peppercorn sauce. A mon avis, food is great when I can get lost in conversation and still enjoy my meal even though it has gone cold. IYKYK. Now to the cocktail. Many a 'Singapore Sling' I have tried throughout the city of Leeds, and Maurizio's was second to none. Whilst obviously quality of ingredients has an effect of the precision of the cocktail, some mixologists have it and some don't. Here at The Restaurant Bar & Grill, Maurizio has it! Bravo sir, Bravo. Unfortunately I forgot to get the Matre'd's name, (tall with dark hair) but having dined previously, he always gives the feeling of being welcomed. Whilst moving around smoothly, he doesnt miss a beat, or call for service. Polite, effecient, with a kind smile it is always a pleasure to be attended to by this gentleman. Overall, food and service here is exceptional, and I can be quite a difficult person to please. Thank you to the entire team that made our evening a special one.

As soon as we have walked in, we were greeted by staff and offered a drink at the bar and shown to our table. Our waitress, she was very friendly professional and helpful. Food was great. The only reason they have lost a star was the roast potatoes on the Sunday dinner option unfortunately they were not up to their standard. We will definitely be back.

We ended up going into the RBG last night for a celebratory meal. It had a really lovely atmosphere and the staff were all great. From the bar staff to the waiter they were friendly and polite. The food was perfect and the steak was fab. Would definitely go again if we were in Leeds

Came here for Valentine’s Day, walked in and it all looked beautiful, staff were prompt and sat us down upstairs with nice overhead views of the restaurant down below, we ordered drinks, morreti for me and a “friends with benefits” cocktail for my partner, the cocktail was super alcoholy but was still nice, my partner then proceeded to order a sirloin that practically fell apart when cutting and was perfect and I ordered a ribeye steak that was 98% meat and barely any fat but when there was it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, even the cooked tomato which I’m not that bothered about was seasoned and tasted so good I ate my partners ahah,we were gonna have a dessert but the steaks will leave you full in a good way aha, would 100% recommend and would come again, bit on the pricey side but one of the best steak places in Leeds.

Been here a fair few times now over the last 5 years and about time i left it a review. Great atmosphere in a nice setting. Food always consistent and of a high standard and the prices are reasonable for Leeds centre. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Sonia who has served us a couple of times now - professional, friendly and a real asset to the place. Impressed at how the standards don't seem to slip so will be back for another visit soon.

Mihai - was a very tentative waiter. Couldn’t do enough for us. Even was able to guess our dessert choice. Food was incredible, i am not one to usually review food experiences. But the sunday dinner was the best i have ever had. And the sticky toffee pudding, i have no words to describe it, it was divine

Had a brilliant sharing Sunday Roast platter with my dad at the bar and grill. The croquettes and smoked salmon were very tasty as well. Shane and Elisha B attentive and friendly bartenders. Max made a brilliant friends with benefits. Elisha C was assigned waitress for our table. She was very friendly and took care of us very well. All the staffs were very welcoming and professional.

Amazing anniversary meal. We got a sharer chateaubriand which was lovely. Mihai really looked after us and made sure everything we ordered was gluten free without even needing to ask or remind him. Even our free dessert! Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful place, the staff are so lovely and it's so nice to see how close they all are. They have incredible hospitality and would do anything to make you comfortable. I went with a couple of friends and found their cocktail list quite intriguing however I had no idea what I wanted. The bartender named Shane was very knowledgeable about drinks and asked me what I normally drink and he was able to create the perfect cocktail for me and my friends

Fell upon this place randomly and wow — what a find! ⭐ The service was absolutely 5-star. Adrian was excellent and made us feel so welcome. As transgender girls, we were treated with the utmost respect and kindness, which meant a lot to us. The place itself is stunning and the food was simply exquisite. Highly recommend!

We came as a group of 14 work colleagues for our Chrismas meal. I really wish I could give six stars for the service. Lewis from the moment we were seated was amazing. From his beaming welcoming smile to his desire to ensure our experience was perfect he cannot be faulted. The food was delicious and the three course festive menu had great food portions without being too much. A fantastic experience.

Came in today for Sunday dinner was outstanding, we shared the chicken & beef. I had an outstanding experience thanks to our waiter, Adrian. From the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Adrian anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the entire meal. The food was brilliant! My girlfriend has a peanut allergy and they were able to cater for us with no issues whatsoever. Husky was our waiter and he was amazing. Very polite and welcoming. Definitely Recommend and would come again.

We had a great experience at the restaurant bar and grill, we have been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Our waiter lewis was very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Excellent lunch meal in a lovely restaurant, fine service, very good menu, not cheap though! Four adults and one toddler had lunch, the toddler had chicken and chips which he demolished, the adults had: Starters of Korean Chicken, Chicken Kebabs, Duck Spring Rolls, Crispy Squid. All terrific. Mains of three sirloins, various sauces, beef dripping chips, duck egg topper. And one main of mason black cod. All very very nice. Desserts of cheese, chocolate fondants. Service was great, restaurant is lovely, especially the circular booth seating. Loved it. Some beers. Two bottles of bottom end Red Wine. Some water and some cokes. Basically £450. But it was very very nice. And we’d go again, glad to see them still going strong many years after we became regulars in Manchester before it closed.

I mean what is it not to like about this restaurant? Food quality -taste-presentation=10/10 The atmosphere is great although it can sometimes be way too busy with the bar ( avoid the tables near the bar at busy times) The service was great! Staff are always friendly polite and professional. Love it there. One of my favourite in Leeds

Came for an early anniversary meal. Great place definitely as the wow factor. Excellent and friendly staff. We had the sharing roast dinner. You choose 2 meats. We had lamb and beef. Numerous sides to accompany. Very generous portions. You also get 4 miniature desserts included. Excellent value. Definitely worth a visit.

Just would like to add my experience. Anyone considering wanting to book for any event or just to dine please do not hesitate and book. We dined on new year's Eve and we had the most lovely experience. I don't think it'd be appropriate to mention name's but 3 waiters looked after us that night and they were lovely and fantastic at their job. Our English isn't the best as we come from a french background but one waiter in particular sat with us and translated anything we struggled with throughout the night and made sure to translate it right back to the other waiters and bar. It was a bit loud but understandable as it was new years eve and everyone came out to have fun. You can tell the chefs love to do their job as the food was excellent and worth every penny. Drinks were amazing and was very fast paced couldn't ask for a better night. Anyway I could praise the waiters would be lovely but overall 100/10 experience!

Great dinning experience and the service was top class. Had the most amazing Sunday roast with the biggest Yorkshire puddings ever (I am not from t’north so never seen them so big). The mac and cheese on the side was a big highlight. Couldn’t fault anything about this restaurant.

A visit to Leeds found our party of 6 having evening dinner at The Restaurant Bar and Grill and overall, this was a very good experience. This was my first time at the restaurant but some of our party had been before and recommended that we returned this particular evening due to their positive experience previously. Located in the old Post Office building the restaurant has a fantastic and prominent location within the city. It is also in easy walking distance of all city centre hotels and the train station. This restaurant can cope with large numbers of customers with its ample outdoor seating in-conjunction with the inside tables both upstairs and down. There is in addition a private dining room for hire should you require. We were seated upstairs near the bar and overlooking the downstairs area. This is a modern and well maintained restaurant designed and fitted out to high standards. From arriving at our table our waiter was very attentive, friendly and had a great sense of humour. There is an excellent wine, cocktail and general drinks menu and this is coupled by an equally excellent food menu. I found it hard to choose as there was so many things that I fancied. A three course dinner was had by most of our party and a wide range of food was sampled. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and collectively we had a fantastic evening at this restaurant. I would certainly revisit The Restaurant Bar and Grill when next in Leeds and can strongly recommend you give it a try. A great place with excellent service and first class staff.

Five stars! We came here for dinner and loved everything about the vibe and the menu. But the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the service from Adrián. He is a gem! He put so much effort into making sure our experience was unbeatable. Highly recommended!

What can I say about the wedding my husband and I hosted here at the end of September. It was honestly great. The best day of my life, and hosting our wedding lunch at RBG was so much fun. From the get go, the team were amazing. Simon was so on it with communication (which when you’re planning a wedding is maybe the biggest thing - people who don’t reply really put the fear in you, but RBG was the complete opposite!). The team on the day were great - Sadie, Adrian, Ivan and Sonja. Super attentive and made the experience really seamless. Everything that we requested the team more than happy to do - for example have preordered wine / beer on a table at the back instead of on all the tables. It sounds like a tiny request but made such a big difference and made guests super social and move about! With RBG hosting events and catering to a lot of people, this is really their bread and butter, and made us so happy that everything was smooth and easy. We had about 70 guests on the day and you could tell the staff do this day in day out as they were so professional, and were so cool and collected with a large ( slightly *probably* rowdy) wedding party. As we had wedding decor, we were able to drop that off the day before and they cracked on with setting up for us. Everything looked great!! They also packed everything away for us as well when we came to collect the day after. From speaking to all of our guests, they all loved their food options. We decided to go down the route of letting them choose ahead of the day and I think that really paid off as everyone was eating exactly what they wanted - if you’re going to plan a Leeds city wedding, I would 100% recommend doing your wedding lunch here!! Everyone had a wonderful time, and so did we. Literally such a fun day and I wish we could do it all over again!

Me and my friends came for some fiod and drinks and our waiter Adrian was very kind and helped us pick out the best food which was excellent, he made sure we had our drinks were delivered to our table as soon as possible and any questions we had he answered. He made sure our experience was one to remember. Definitely recommend and will be back again.

Went to RBG as a group of 5. Ordered tempura prawns, dirty martini prawns and tuna with ginger to start. All absolutely lovely. Very fresh. We had the sharing board Sunday roast which was delicious. With chicken, beef and belly pork and cauliflower cheese side. As always the service was impeccable and Adrian was professional but friendly. A lovely relaxing time with friends.

I went to RBG for a January celebration, and my dinner was made extra special by Eric the Bartender who gave the loveliest service, and made our night! Also a big thank you to Marius & other floor staff for the best service. We will be back soon!

Had an amazing time! The atmosphere was great, but the service was even better. Huge shout-out to Adrian, he was absolutely fantastic and took great care of us. He’s a true professional and apparently a bit of a Romeo too—I’m pretty sure he was flirting with my cousin the whole time! 😂 She’s still blushing. We’ll definitely be back!

I'm really pleased with the service I received and had a fantastic experience at the bar. Arkar, who brought the oysters, truly made my day and even helped me take some lovely photos. I was at Restaurants bar and Grill this evening in Leeds with five friends and we’ve had a wonderful evening and we were served by the fantastic Lewis. The food was fantastic, but the service was even better! Lewis was a real credit to the establishment and he made our evening perfect. Thank you, Lewis!

Popped by for dessert and drinks_it was good_really loved the place. Very clean and service is good. I think you can sign up to their membership as well as they are part of a chain of restaurants and bars.

Came here not so long ago for a post-business meeting dinner. Located inside the grand old post office building in the heart of Leeds, this offers a grandiose atmosphere with the tall ceilings and stylish decor. There’s a nice buzz to the place upon arrival with many other patrons enjoying their evening. The welcoming was good and was promptly sat down. Our waiter was brilliant, knowledgeable and very attentive, often times joining us at the table to offer his suggestions. One of which was the recommended red wine, being the Argentina Malbec. I started with the Korean Fried boneless Chicken which came in a super crispy skin, Korean spices, sesame and Gochujang soy sauce. The pieces were really tender and tasty. Followed by 400g of Côte de Boeuf served medium rare with Béarnaise and triple cooked chips. Steak was cooked to order and was enjoyable, but I would likely go for something different on my next visit. Not saying it was bad, because it wasn’t. But there’s a few other options on the menu worth trying like the Slow Roasted Duck, Venison, Korean Lamb Rump and a decent selection of fish items like the Miso Black Cod, Sea Bass and Roast Monkfish. And just to complete the meal, finished off the with Warm Chocolate Fondant which came with vanilla Ice cream and shortbread crumbs. Finished off with an Irish Coffee. Good food, good wine, good company, stunning location and great service. Perfect way to end the business day.

Really enjoyed the food here, I got the steak with miso butter which was so delicious and umami 🤩 We also got the duck spring rolls for starter to share and it was filled with plenty of duck and very tasty! Quite expensive, atmosphere was fine but nothing special, would come again for the food! We got a free dessert because it was my boyfriend’s birthday - a lovely touch

We had a birthday meal yesterday and we were catered to by Adrian. He was kind, lovely and helped with all of our needs. We had a lovely time, and the atmosphere of the place was great. Adrian along with the other staff were very welcoming.

We went to RGB on a Saturday evening. We waited 15 minutes initially to have our drinks order taken after arriving as staff were so busy. It then took well over an hour after ordering food for our mains to arrive. We had a cinema booking and had left two hours for this at the restaurant but due to the slow service we only had 10 minutes to eat our food and had to eat very fast and pay the bill in advance before eating and immediately leave. Staff were trying there best but the place was too busy for the staff to keep up and were rushed off their feet. Once the food did arrive it was disappointing. The steak was completely rare when I had ordered medium rare. The sauce was cold and had formed lumps. Fries were soggy. The music is also very loud and club like so hard to hear over. Some people may like this atmosphere so this is personal preference.
