Our experience today at Salute was lovely. we hadn't booked but were shown a table outside (having been given the choice of in or outdoors) with an umbrella for shade. I always like a place that provides a jug of cold tap water and the cocktails we ordered were beautifully presented and tasted yum! The staff were friendly, attentive and polite (especially Leo who impressed me enough to make me want to make this review) and we didn't feel rushed in anyway. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish and the offer (two mains and one side dish for £25) meant we ordered a bowl of skin on fries too. In a lovely setting by the church, the atmosphere both inside and outside created a really nice lunch out.

Nice place and venue, some parking, good location, nice friendly staff and great food. Gastro pub style. Not cheap but decent. Will come again. Update Nye 2023 Had a excellent meal with excellent service. It's worth the price. Nice venue and food is great which is the best thing. We will definitely come again if having a quiet Nye. Might try for Xmas eve if we can book early enough.

We had my mum and dad's Dimond wedding anniversary at Salute at the White Swan. The staff was fantastic, very helpful every one of them . They all worked so hard to make everything go smoothly. Thank you to all of them . They are a credit to Salutes The food was excellent, the pizzas were excellent, and the cold buffet was excellent. Couldn't folt anything. Thank you to the kitchen staff. The atmosphere was excellent it was piped music with a good selection. I would definitely be recommending it to other people

I visited Salute with a couple of friends to celebrate a new job! I had heard great reports about the place so was looking forward to it. And it did not disappoint. I had pizza which was delicious. And the rhubarb & custard trifle was so lovely presented in a vintage glass mini-trifle dish! In fact, all of the desserts were served in lovely chintzy vintage crockery which was a lovely touch! The trifle wasn't too sweet which was good for me. We all had a great time & the staff were really great too. If you love Italian food then you should definitely go! Thankyou ❤️

Went for an excellent meal at Salute as part of the eat out to help out scheme earlier this week. The restaurant was well organised, with a QR code to register personal details, and plenty of hand sanitiser. We received a warm welcome from the restaurant staff, and our waiter, Matthew, offered a friendly and fantastic service. We shared a pesto and garlic tomato pizza bread for starters, followed by salmon penne and a calzone. We had a bottle of Nero d'Avola to drink, and I had the raspberry crème brûlée for dessert. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and evening. The atmosphere and service was amazing, and felt very safe and well planned. Hope to be back soon.

Amazing food, great service and icing on the cake they have a dog friendly area! My lasange was delicious and yoda my pooch even got some chicken as a treat 🥰 highly recommend!

First restaurant since lock down. I've been many times before, felt the same if slightly different. Less tables, staff still friendly, waiter service still awesome, lovely food. Nice atmosphere. Food not lost it's sparkle.

Today we were served by Liv and Amy they made sure we were well looked after and sat us in one of the gorgeous booths in the outdoor area for me to enjoy my pink gin in the sun. We ordered the lamb mince pizza with tzatziki and feta cheese it was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Thank you 😀

Food was excellent, and staff very friendly. Especially Ella! We did the deal which included two meals and a side for £25. Great value for money, would recommend.

We celebrated a birthday party and had hired some entertainment for the day. The staff were absolutely brilliant and accommodating. Livvie went above and beyond even looking after our 8 month old for a while so we could have some food. Truly a shining star, thankyou. The venue was great and we had such a nice time from start to finish.

Lovely ‘sneaky’ afternoon treat just for me. Salutes is a lovely family restaurant were you always feel welcome. Great food (especially silly the ice cream!) and great service from Ruby K and Liv 🙂

First visit but it will not be the last. Atmosphere great. Meals superb. Staff very friendly. The waitress who served us was exemplary, a credit to the business.

We really like this local restaurant and come regularly. They have a great children's menu with really big portions. Nothing worse than getting a child's menu and the portion being ridiculously small even for a toddler. The adult meals are also a good size, you won't come away hungry. We often end up bringing something home with us after coming here. We really love their 2 for £25 deal where we can get 2 pizzas and a side. We had a calzone to share between 2 today and it was massive. Definitely perfect to share with a side.

Cannot praise this place highly enough! We were a walk-in who needed to be in and out within an hour and the staff could not have been more helpful, accommodating and attentive. They even mixed our starters across our 2 plates as they knew we were sharing and fast-tracked our whole meal - which was delicious - the best steak my husband has had for a long time which is some review! With such an incredibly warm welcome and yummy food, we will surely be back :)

A fantastic afternoon celebrating with family. Outstanding food,staff were attentive and friendly,to top it off there was a fantastic Christmas atmosphere cannot fault it at all.

As a vegetarian I would definitely recommend the Baked Aubergine Parmigiana. Absolutely delicious. The other guests enjoyed their pizza, pasta or chicken dishes too. I will definitely go back there again for this extremely tasty vegetarian addition to the menu

This is a really well organised, well staffed and well appointed restaurant. I am somewhat of a pizza ‘critic’ and whilst I ate all mine (so it could not have been bad) I would prefer a slightly less wet base and a crispy edged dough. The staff a great, the atmosphere lovely!

Fantastic service from Kate our waitress today I have food allergies and she went above and beyond to make sure I had the right alternative food with also checking every ingredient etc along with her Very friendly service

We had a beautiful meal for a birthday celebration. Food was excellent as usual. Exceptional flavours and we had a lovely evening. Highly recommend you book. You will struggle to get anywhere nicer!

I have never had a bad experience at Salute, staff are lovely and very welcoming, My friend got the tuna nicoise but the tuna was too well done. The owner offered to replace it but we were pushed for time so she very kindly removed it from our bill. Other than the well done tuna, the food was beautiful. Thank you Justine and your team x

We booked a table for 2pm yesterday. The service, food and atmosphere were amazing as usual! Staff are very attentive and meet all of the customer needs. Food is stunning! We didn’t leave until almost 8:30pm as we were having such a lovely time! Thank you.

Lovely mid week evening out for Mum's birthday. Fabulous food, wonderful extras. A treat for mum and Halloween sweets with our bill. Highly recommend.

It was a last minute decision to eat here and we dropped lucky getting a table on a Saturday evening. The food was well presented and the service was first rate. I would definitely recommend visiting Salute.

Visited Salute for Sunday lunch after the Rothwell Farmers Market. Lovely warm welcome and toasty warm inside after getting wet and blown about outside! All of the staff were friendly and helpful, excellent service from start to finish. The food was delicious. A very generous Sunday lunch with lots of lovely gravy and fabulous cauliflower cheese!

What a super restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff were lovely. A great dinner for Dad’s 96th birthday. A lovely gesture of a little birthday dessert with candle for him too. Thank you.

Myself and my husband dined there yesterday for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted by friendly staff. Had the most delicious food that was good value for money and generous portion size. We were also given one of the puddings for free for our anniversary which was such a kind gesture and unexpected.

Great friendly and timely service without feeling rushed. The pasta al forno was delicious, with a tasty sauce and plenty of meat. Could only eat half of it and enjoyed it a second time for lunch, the next day. The tiramisu crème brûlée was an interesting combination of two of our favourite puddings. Nice one!

Lovely start to the New year at Salute. Our waitress Bliss, was lovely from beginning to end. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing too. I had the braised beef with colcannon mash and vegetables and I can honestly say it’s one of the best meals I’ve had at Salute.

We hired Salutes Cygnet Suite for a large family Christmas party a few days before Christmas. The room, with its own bar, was beautiful with festive decorations and a fabulous tree which all the children loved. Two brilliant waitresses looked after us throughout and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. We had opted for Salutes festive buffet to be served which included a great variety of hot and cold foods with a festive twist and it was delicious, just as their restaurant food always is. Justine kept popping up to make sure everything was going well, which of course it was. The whole family enjoyed it so much, that we’ve decided to make it an annual event.

We've dined here a few times over the years and have never been particularly impressed, but we decided to give it another try for lunch and actually had a really nice meal. The prawn bruschetta was really tasty (although quite small!) and the Calzone was excellent. We'll definitely return.

Spacious but feels cozy Italian diner. Staff were nice and food was ok.

Always a great ambience and atmosphere in Salute. Clean, well presented and modern interior with pleasant staff. It's been a while (about 18 months) since our last visit so we had a menu change from what we experienced last time. I ordered the Salt & Pepper calamari and my Wife got the Dutch style fries. Got to say, bitterly disappointed with the Calamari, it had NO flavour at all and lacked even the basic of seasoning. The Dutch fries however were full of flavour, we'll presented and a large portion. 8d reccomend these. For mains I ordered the Prawn, Leek & Pea risotto. Wow! The portion was HUGE! full of flavour and perfectly cooked. I had to leave half of it. My wife had the Gamberoni, chilli @ Chorizo spaghetti. Again, full of flavour and a massive portion. Can't knock it. Overall a good restaurant, maybe we just caught the Calamari on a bad day. 2 starters, 2 mains, a coffee and a drink of pop came in at £55. Not the cheapest but I wouldn't avoid the place because of the cost either. Feedback from me.......cut back on the portion sizes. No one will ever manage 3 course otherwise!

Croquettes were tasteless. Had to ask to place our order. Squeezed on a table right next to the bar and service door so knocked by waitress a few times. Very noisy with music loud and a larger party celebrating. Our waitress learning but still a long way to go with basic service manners.

My family and myself went for a meal to celebrate my 60th birthday, it had been booked some time ago and pre orders were sent in, the party were dining on the 22nd of November and the restaurant was quite busy with a few different functions going on, we waited quite a while for our food which was average apart from one person's burger which was cold and not cooked to their liking so it was sent back , being a chef myself if anything was sent back for whatever reason then a fresh one was cooked however they said they'd put it in the oven!!!, it came back still inedible for most of it and therefore they didn't eat it. Waiting quite some time for drinks that were ordered Nd no table checks. Very disappointed as the food isn't cheap neither, £16, for a gourmet burger which burger king do better for less. Will never go there again as food over priced and over rated
