Fantastic food brilliantly presented and full of flavour. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here last night at the Leeds cut and craft. The hosts were warm and welcoming, the waiter we had was knowledgeable, professional and happy. We had the bread and scallops to start which were amazing and then we shared the chateaubriand 600g fillet to share which was cooked absolutely perfectly! To accompany we had the salad, mash and asparagus which were are tasty in their own way! Cocktails were great and we also had a lovely bottle of red wine. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go again!

Honestly has to be one of the best meals I have had, I have had fantastic meals in the past but it is rare for every element of a meal to be as good as it is at Cut & Craft, from the extremely warm welcome straight into the fantastic bar staff, our waiter was friendly and polite, the food was obviously extremely well sourced and was cooked to perfection. The setting was beautiful as well, I genuinely could not recommend that they change a single thing. Every part of Cut & Craft's operation is perfect down to a T. I would highly recommend anyone anyone goes here! And I have to say for the quality across the board the prices are very reasonable too.

We visited Leeds for the weekend and had Sunday dinner at the cut and craft…. Unbelieveble food in such a nice establishment! We got the sunday sharing board…. More than enough for two big eaters. Could not fault anyhing thank you.

I decided to go away for a weekend to Leeds which is a city that is close to my heart. I absolutely love the atmosphere there, the fact people are down to earth and yet there are still really good restaurants and nightlife. The Cut and Craft was one restaurant that I really wanted to try. My friend and I who normally eat out at restaurants in London, including Michelin star restaurants, were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the range, the service, and the drinks. Not only that, but it was at the price point for Leeds not for London. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Nothing was an issue, the atmosphere was fantastic, and they treated us like we were regulars even though it was our first time. To start we had caviar which is something I’ve had only for the second time in my life, but it seemed appropriate this weekend to try out at this restaurant given the range and the price point. The main steak we shared but I can’t remember which we ordered as it was a while ago. Hopefully you can tell from the photos! I didn’t feel like having a dessert because I wanted to keep the savoury taste for as long as possible. Everything was cooked to perfection, it just could not be faulted. Next time I am in Leeds I will 100% go again. Highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a fantastic experience at Cut & Craft Leeds! The food was absolutely delicious – beautifully presented and full of flavour. The setting is stunning, with such a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Even the restrooms are worth a mention – so elegant and spotless, really adding to the overall experience. The only slight issue was that around 4pm the music seemed to get stuck on repeat, which became a little noticeable. Aside from that, everything was perfect. The staff were attentive, the service was great, and I’d highly recommend it for a special meal or night out. Birthday Celebration

Absolutely gorgeous food cooked to perfection. The Ambience was really welcoming & the whole place looks stunning. The staff were fantastic really friendly & couldn’t do enough to help. It was my Husband’s Birthday, we both thoroughly enjoyed it & will definitely be returning 😃👍 10/10

This was for my birthday, we went here because we wanted oysters and my husband found the place. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. The staff were very attentive and always around. The food was very good and so well cooked. We enjoyed every dish. The presentation of the found was lovely as well. This is slightly on the pricey side but it was worth it.

What a fabulous place! I advised them it was our wedding anniversary and we even got a card… how cute ;) served by Tom who was fab! Very relaxed but gave great advise when choosing dishes x a live singer was also a lovely surprise! … but let’s talk about the food! I was adamant I was having a steak! But I’m so glad we picked the Sunday lunch sharer… pork belly was stunning! Beef sirloin too. We added the cauliflower croquettes which I’m so glad… they were stunning!!! Would very highly recommend 👌can’t wait to have a reason to go back!

Honestly one of the best Sunday dinners we’ve had. Super friendly service, great surroundings and, of course, great food.

Such an amazing experience at this place. Me and my partner went for our anniversary and we couldn’t have gone anywhere better. We were a walk in and had to wait an hour 15 mins for a table which was fine for us because we were able to be sat down and have a drink. Our table was ready in time, phenomenal service from the staff, food was exceptional and 100% worth it. They even added a little candle with some ice cream/sorbet because we told them it was our anniversary! Would recommend getting a reservation because that it’s always packed and we were lucky to even snatch a table.

We have had a fantastic birthday meal for our sons 21st. Everyone was so professional and friendly , staff was well trained , they had a lot of knowledge about the menu & premises. Food was fantastic, presented well , tasty & fresh. Restaurant was clean and and bar area looked very tidy, Over all I can say this place is a very well managed restaurant with great value and quality . Recommend it to everyone who wants to dine in Leeds with a style . We will be back 🧿

Loverly building, great service with excellent knowledge about the foot & drink and the food itself was fantastic. I had the seafood in tempura batter, and shared a Chateaubriand. Wow, great flavours. Also managed a Chocolate Gold Bar for desert 👌 There was a good wine list (so im told lol)

L

Sharing Sunday roast was exceptional. Great drinks including cocktail flights. Lovely service from all staff we encountered including Abdullah our waiter. They provided thoughtful touches to mark our special occasion. Recommend this place and we will return.

First time visiting cut & craft for my friends birthday, such a beautiful restaurant, customer service was at the top, staff were welcoming & friendly, the food was delicious, atmosphere great, & the manager that was on for New Year’s Eve, was lovely and gave top customer service, we will be back for brunch!

First time eating at The Cut and Craft. We’d heard great things and definitely weren’t disappointed. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was fantastic. The oysters were delicious. Thanks guys

Went here for a birthday treat from my better half. Oh my god. Seriously impressed. Service, atmosphere and the food was impeccable. You can be assured the chefs know what they’re doing in this place. Had me a succulent juicy sirloin (medium rare obviously) a selection of sides and some pork belly to start. The steak was cooked to perfection. Not chewy at all. The peppercorn sauce was incredible also. Not the cheapest place I’ll admit but didn’t feel like we had our pants pulled down as everything was 100%. The waiting staff were highly knowledgeable and efficient, we had a server called Sarah who tended to our every need. She knew about the wine and made recommendations which were spot on, she was sociable and looked after us well. Courses arrived quickly and well presented. First time here and was very impressed. Even the loo’s were a visual spectacle. Will be back again.

I’ve visited this place several times and it never disappoints. The food and drinks are always spot on, and the service is both professional and welcoming. The best experience is in the evening, the atmosphere feels completely different, more vibrant and relaxed, and it really brings out the charm of the place. It’s one of those spots you can count on every time, whether for a casual dinner or a special night out. Definitely a favorite I’ll keep coming back to.

Stunning atmosphere and decor is to die for! Friendly but professional staff with high standards. Went for my partners birthday meal. Perfect for the steak lover! A few options of fish and one chicken main for anyone else. We ordered starters, mains, sides. Everything was presented beautifully. The service and ambience is exactly what i was looking for, Leeds lacks places with hospitality as high as here imo. Next time we’ll be back for drinks. The bar looks lovely and the ladies toilets are unreal for the perfect photo ops!!

I’ve been to Cut and Craft in Leeds several times now for both birthday and graduation celebrations, and it’s always been a fantastic experience. The venue is absolutely beautiful, perfect for taking memorable photos. The food has consistently been lovely, and the atmosphere makes every visit feel special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate in style!

Delicious food, lovely ambience, amazing presentation and really excellent staff. I went recently and enjoyed some pan fried sea bass. Their fish dish options are plentiful and you can also request halal meat before hand. We definitely had over ordered for 3 of us but we enjoyed the flavourful food nevertheless. The desserts were just OK nothing special. This spot is halal friendly you just need to let them know on reservations and on arrival to the waiter. They have beautiful Penhaligons hand soap and cream they thought about everything!

H

Pretty much flawless. Went for our anniversary and they got us a card and a complimentary dessert (lemon sorbet). Service was excellent, very attentive. We had bread for the starter which in itself was excellent. The mains (burger and steak) were cooked to perfection. The strawberry mocktail was also delicious, and didn’t just taste like juice like most mocktails do. We also got a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was delicious, though the texture was slightly chalky. Overall, a beautiful restaurant and well worth a visit for a fancy occasion.

My partner took me to cut and craft as my birthday meal treat. We sat upstairs and great service throughout our meal. At the end of the meal, one of the waitresses gave me a complimentary ice cream with a candle too which was exceptionally special. Definitely worth returning

This was my first visit to the cut and craft Leeds i have visited the one in York a few time and loved York. The Leeds one did not disappoint at all was very nice the inside is very up market and posh which is what we wanted for our special occasion, The food was amazing and so was the service. My only pit was the kids menu we went at lunch time with our boy who loves the side dish of Yorkshire pudding gravy and roast potatoes, which he as when we visit York and was looking forward to this hear but sadly this was not on the menu. Lucky for us the chips and gray came to the rescue. The adults in our party enjoyed the meals and as expected. the whole experience is very good. I even had to buy one of the beer packs to take home as i love the big beer glasses you have.

What a great night we had. My partner took me here for a treat and it was just what we needed. The food was great (oysters, ribeye, truffle fries and charred tender stem broccoli and finishes on baked Alaska.) the drinks were fantastic I had a great old fashioned or two and my wife had a Daiquiri and a “paradise in Yorkshire”. The staff were great too, especially Benji (Ben) who waited on us all night and then Matt towards the end. 10/10 service all round. Would go again.

Our first time here but very impress with the hospitality, the downstairs is full so we sat upstairs only one table but the lady staff have been active and look after us so well not pushy but we have what we got , and most expensive is I said it’s my partner bday so he can order 6 cheese , she surprised him with birthday candle with gently approach , fabulous And food are gorgeous

I visited on the 8th of August with my daughter for her 19th Birthday treat. The food was amazing all the servers very friendly atmosphere lovely. The free lemon & lime water and popcorn on entering was a nice touch. Our server noticed it was my daughter’s birthday and wished her a Happy Birthday then at the end of our meal gave her a lovely treat. Thank you will be back asap 🥰

The interior of this restaurant is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and really sets the mood of a very sophisticated, romantic yet chill vibe. Service is very very good, the staff are accommodating, chatty and extremely friendly. The food was superb, I got fish and chips and it was just what we were expecting, just delicious! 🤍 However, the brioche fresh bread was the highlight of our meal. It was beyond glorious and you could tell it was fresh out of the oven 🫢 Cannot wait to return! x

The young man did well but had different facial expressions for different people. I thought to myself, he wasn’t this happy serving us but all the same, the food was great, the atmosphere was esthetically pleasing and my boyfriend had a good time.

A fabulous meal for a birthday celebration. Very easy to rack up a big bill quite quickly but honestly the service and food was so good you can't complain at all! I was asked how everything was and I made a small pedantic comment about the tender stem brocoli being cooked Al dente, my partners preference but not mine, and they brought me out a portion cooked to my liking free of charge. It's these little things that are what hospitality is about. Very happy. Will certainly be back at some point!

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful and tasty food, great service. Reservations recommended even for a mid week lunch. Drinks a bit pricey but food menu is good value for quality food. Very pleasant dining experience.

Amazing graduation meal! I ordered off the a la carte menu with my family to celebrate my graduation. The food was phenomenal! I ordered the flat iron steak (£16), truffle chips (£6.50), and béarnaise sauce (£4). The steak was cooked perfectly and the chips were so crispy and delicious. The others ordered a beef burger, they enjoyed that thoroughly. Huge shoutout to Carissa (apologies if I misspelt your name). She was so attentive and very friendly! She made our experience at cut and craft so special, and even gave me a hand written celebration card! Thank you for the lovely food and service ❤️

Enjoyed a lovely anniversary meal at cut and craft today. The food was excellent, small problem with the starter was quickly rectified by the professional team. We were given a free a cup of sorbet and fruit each, along with a card for our anniversary which was a nice touch. 10/10 !

M
Mavrick D

Food was great flat iron was delicious and the mushroom sauce. Very impressed with the food if you like steak I would 100% come again. Cocktails were also very good. Really nice venue my only negative was the DJ . Music tempo was really fast for a restaurant , needs to keep the tunes more on a chill vibe. At one point was expecting it to turn into a rave. 😂 Anyway was really good will be back.

Me and my wife had a lovely meal here on Tuesday 23rd, December after it being recommended. The food atmosphere and service was absolutely brilliant, the place is pricey but you get what you pay for in hospitality these days so I have no complaints. The portion sizes are not big but just right, quality over quantity. our waitress was a lady called Sophie from our home town who was excellent and chatty. Not to chatty just enough chatty. We will definitely be going back when we are in Leeds

The venue is stunning - and I have rarely eaten anywhere with a more interesting and luxurious internal decor. The food was excellent. The steak is easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot and tasted fresh. The menu had lots of interesting options - especially for desserts which are so often overlooked. I had a dessert with actual gold leaf on the chocolate! The one downside was the service. While quick and attentive, the staff constantly interrupted our conversation - coming up to the table and talking over us. I counted at least 7 times when we had to stop mid sentence to answer one of the staff asking if our food was okay. It really took away from the otherwise excellent experience.

It was a good birthday steak experience. The staff are welcoming and make you feel special for your special occasion, just tell them about it when you make your booking. The booking website is easy and straightforward. Steak and fries was so good(not very generous portion, for all the foodies out there😉). Good atmosphere and beautifully located. It's worth a visit.

Really lovely place for dinner, steaks were all cooked to our preferences and dishes were fresh! The upstairs seating area was nicely decorated and bright. My only con is that with a large table of people, the tables could be slightly bigger as we struggled a bit to fit all our dishes onto it.

E
Elviera L

Went with two friends for lunch. Beautiful building and design inside. Staff excellent, very professional and pleasant. Had the table for four hours which was brilliant. Sharing platter for Sunday Roast was very good. Meat was plentiful and everything was very tasty. However, for me it wasn’t hot enough. I like my food HOT, not lukewarm warm! I like my plates hot too! The entertainment was also loud. We were seated on a large round table and really struggled to have a conversation. Again, wine is extortionate as in most places. I think we had the cheapest bottle at £27!!! I have had much better from Lidl. I don’t mind paying in a restaurant but I wish they would stop ripping us off. It doesn’t happen abroad so why here? Overall it was a pleasant afternoon. Would I go again? The jury is out atm!

F

My colleagues and I went to this restaurant for one of my friends birthday. The meal was wonderful, however when it was time to pay we couldn't believe the price. When we investigated the receipt, we found out that we have been charged for meals that we didn't order.

G

Can’t fault the food! The fillet was delicious and perfectly cooked. The service on the other hand was a bit of a letdown. Hopefully just a one off. I would return but hope for a different server!

B
Ben

Nice food for the most part, but too expensive for what you get. The bread basket was nice, but would have been better if the butter was spreadable instead of rock hard. For mains we both went for the flat iron steak and it was good, but I think the mash definitely needed more butter as it was quite crumbly and the portion of gravy for two was small. Dessert was ok. The chocolate cremeux was a let down, all the elements on thier own were nice, but the chocolate chilli ice cream was incredibly rich and when put together with everything else was really overpowering. The gold chocolate bar is basically a Dubai chocolate bar, it was nice but had a taste that I can't quite put my finger on. In my opinion not worth the £120 for two it cost for the cheapest cut of steak on the menu, a dessert and some bread and one cocktail.

M
Miss CNYP

The food is decent like 6/10... can get the same quality from a gastro pub for half the price tbh. Service average... having to ask to be served, then ask for my drinks to be bought over as they were sitting there for a while, isn't great.

D
Dawn Cunningham

Food was amazing, however our table was booked for 16.30 we waited a good 10 mins for our table to be ready then over half an hour for food to be delivered. We had a main course and a dessert then at just before 18.10 we were told that they needed the table and to sit upstairs to finish our drinks.. this felt quite rushed as we just wanted to settle and let our food digest and enjoy our drinks. Mum paid the bill, we quickly got up and got our coats bags etc and followed the waiter my 72y/o mum then fell up a step as I said felt rushed and it was quite dark and it ruined our lovely day as she was so embarrassed and now bruised.

N
Noplan AlanDo

Nice décor, but that’s where the good part ends. We sat on the sofa behind the bar — totally uncomfortable, like sitting too high and floating. Try to get a booth or blue chair instead. Starters were okay, nothing special. The mains were the real issue. Rump steak (medium rare) was tough and chewy. When we told the waiter, the response was, “Rump is always chewy.” Well, then maybe get better quality rump meat or a new supplier. The seabass with pearl barley was far too salty. When we mentioned it, we were told, “The chef adds salt for flavour.” Great, but less salt would be nice. When customers give feedback, listen — don’t just defend. Overconfidence in “everything is perfect” isn’t good service. Plus 12.5% service charged.

We ate here for our anniversary last week. Firstly, the venue is beautiful. However, that’s where it stopped for us. The food is expensive, poor service, and atmosphere rushed and inattentive! The fillet steak was tiny, and at £39 plus tip was £43.70 - just for a tiny bit of chewy steak and half a tomato! See pic below! This place is overrated and expensive! We only ate a main here as was so disappointed we left early! The response to the complaints raised at the time were at best dismissive! There are better places to eat steak and more beautifully presented meals! Avoid!

R
Rachael

i am totally okay with average food with good ambience and service, but the food was bad. i had the lamb and it was tasteless, the meat was not fresh, and nothing about it was good - every single component of the dish was super underwhelming and it made me question what i was eating.. my friends ordered the flat iron but each flat iron all tasted different ? the service was borderline passive aggressive and rude and it seemed like they did not want to be there.

K
Kieran Longbone

Cut & Craft pride themselves on service and quality food, and to be fair, the food itself was good. Unfortunately, the service fell well short. On arrival, we weren’t greeted and were left standing before being sent to the bar, where we were then forgotten about despite having a booking. When we were finally seated, it was at a cramped, high table next to the bar. I politely asked to move to a booth as the restaurant was fairly quiet, but this was declined due to it being reserved for a table of three. When that table arrived, it turned out to be only two people. Overall, we felt palmed off and largely ignored throughout the evening. While I understand service charge expectations, in these circumstances the level of service was disappointing and not in line with what the restaurant claims to offer.

K
Kawaii Kiwi

We visited Cut & Craft for a pre-booked birthday meal and chose the set menu specifically for advertised dishes, particularly the meatballs starter. On arrival, the meatballs were unavailable neither of the two guest received them. The only alternative offered was a bread basket, which was not an adequate replacement, and no comparable substitute was offered despite both of them paying for the same menu. I had requested a complimentary birthday dessert in advance, so the dessert provided was not compensation for the missing starters, contrary to what the restaurant later claimed. It was only given to the birthday girl and presented as such. I raised the matter privately, giving the restaurant a chance to resolve it, but they refused to offer any further goodwill. Advertising dishes that are unavailable and providing unequal or inadequate alternatives for paying customers is disappointing, especially for a special occasion. Sadly, our first visit did not reflect the customer care or standards we expected. I will not be returning to Cut and Craft and do not recommend going. Try the Ivy instead much better all round.
