Opinions de Kung Fu Noodles Leon Valley
The only thing "wrong" with Kung Fu Noodle is that I manage to stain my shirt every time I eat here. The hardest thing about King Fu Noodle is making that quick turn into the parking lot from Huebner, especially if you're making a left from Fredericksburg Rd. Just engage your inner F1 racer because dining here is worth the clench. The staff is pleasant, but not effusive, which I appreciate. I like courtesy without all the extra banter. Just focus on the food, is what I say. The restaurant is moderately sized with no frou-frou decor, just a few posters tempting you to order. KFN's menu includes wet and dry noodles and a smattering of cooked dishes. We always opt for the combo meal: a bowl of wet or dry noodles (thin or wide), a 5-spiced egg, 10 dumplings (they have 4 to choose from), and a beverage. The price varies based on whether you choose wet or dry noodles, but only by a dollar or so. The gentleman that seems to be in charge is very attentive– filling drinks, asking after us, and checking in without making us feel rushed. The food is always piping hot and is served quickly. The price is exceptional as well. The pork belly noodle soup with thin noodles and pork and chive dumplings is my standing order. The broth is deeply flavorful and aromatic with five spice, garlic, and peppercorns. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 5. I always go with a 3 so I can remember I'm alive and breathing. Pro Tip: Take any broth and dumplings you have leftover to go. The next day, heat up the broth for about 2-3 minutes (or until boiling) and add the leftover dumplings. This has been my lunch for more times than I can count. You won't be disappointed with Kung Fu Noodles flavor, quality, or price. Just make sure you put your turn signal on and steer carefully.
If you can get the lamb skewers do it!it is so worth it!! Pictures is lamb with the glass noodles(and with thin noodles) level 1 spicy. I love it so much!
This place has been a colossus of consistency for us ever since we started going to it's location in Leon Valley. The beef noodle soup is our go to, $11.98 is a great price point for a bowl of soup that can feed you 3 times. The pork and chive dumplings @$10.89 for 20, is also hard to beat. We usually order the beef noodle soup with extra bok choy and beef, for a small, but modest upcharge. The spiciness chosen by you can vary from 1-5, tried doing a 4 once, but the spice comes from hot chili oil and I had a 3mm layer of oil hovering over the delicious broth, lesson learned. Spice level of 2 is modest enough to taste some heat, but keep you going back for more, kind of like a "hot cheeto effect." If you work in the area the noodle soup and dumplings meal is perfect, and you will be the envy of the lunchroom based off of aroma alone. This place is definitely worth checking out. Seating is somewhat lacking, but it's always worth the wait.
Hands down best noodles in San Antonio or even Texas. Every thing from the noodles to the broth and meats are all made traditionally in house. Service is fast and the food is affordable. The robust authentic flavor of the food will make you feel like you’re sitting at a noodle cart somewhere in china as you slurp them down.
Kung Fu Noodle on Huebner Rd is absolutely amazing! The beef and lamb noodle soups are hands down the stars of the menu. They are both rich, deeply flavorful broth with tender meat and perfectly handmade noodles that have the best texture. Every bite is comforting and packed with authentic flavor. The vegetable rolls are crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, making them a great appetizer, and the beef skewers are incredibly juicy, and seasoned just right with a irresistible spiced marinate. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly. If you’re anywhere near Huebner Rd and love authentic, flavorful food, Kung Fu Noodle is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!
Wow. We came back for redemption. We had started going to Lucky Noodle But Had Started To Miss Our OG. Went with my classic vegetable stir fry with pork belly. Beyond amazing, umami, msg packed flavor! The beef soup was also on point! Flavorful, savory, and spicy! The new kabobs are also a very nice add on! Packed with charcoal flavor and the perfect amount of seasoning!
Some of the best noodles in SA on all fronts. The broth has such a deep body and flavor, and adds volumes to the meat. The pork belly absolutely melted in your mouth. The dumplings were great small editions to the meal, and all for a combo price of 16 bucks. Service was quick and attentive. Excited to make this a regular stop.
I’ve been coming to Kung Fu Noodle for about two years now and it NEVER disappoints! Food quality is always great and soo good. When it comes to the soup; they have two types of noodles, wide or thin and spice levels ranging from 1-5. I prefer thin and spice level 2 to leave room to make it spicier with the tasty hot oil they provide at the table. 😊
If you want a good broth soup and delicious noodle, you come to right place. Good value for price. Great customer service and fast delivery to your table. Highly recommend for any visitors or Taiwanese style noodle lovers. Recommend for the lamb noodle soup and beef noodle. You can order extra hard boiled cooked egg. It's extra and add additional protein to your noodle bowl. I prefer wide (thick) noodle but they recommended thin noodle in the menu. You also can choose your spicy level on your soup broth. If you can handle hot 🔥 choose the hightest spicy level 5. Normally spicy level is 1 or 2 level. See pictures and review. Very good place to dine in San Antonio 👍 🍜
One of my favorite places in San Antonio! The food is always great! The prices are still reasonable and they have large portions. The noodles always taste fresh and I usually go with either the lamb or beef soup and pork and mushroom dumplings. So much food I can never finish so bring someone to share with. The service is always friendly and quick even though they can get very busy during lunch. If you don’t want to wait or have to park far away get there early because it is a small restaurant and they have a decent size parking lot but fills up quick. Worth a try if you’re tired of the same old!
I love this little spot near the med center. I've been eating here since before the relocation. Their handmade noodles and dumplings are such a treat. I love to see a small menu. That's how you know they have a specialty. Service is usually pretty quick and they offer spice levels 1-5. For a girl who LOVES LOVES spicy food, it's nice that my family members can enjoy the same meal at their tolerance levels. I love taking home their frozen dumplings. Very affordable and you can't beat the quality. It's a small dining area, so expect a little wait time, and be courteous to your neighbors. Eat and move on. It's nice to see that most patrons seem to understand that. I hope you enjoy this little gem as much as I do!
We went here on a whim because we passed by it all the time. It was very busy when we went and we had to wait probably less than 10 minutes we got seated and we did take a minute to look over the menu, the menu isn’t big, but I just didn’t know what sounded good. They’re known for their dumplings so we got the pork and chive dumplings. You get 20 dumplings for $10. We also got the veggie spring rolls which you get six for like four dollars those were amazing as well and then we each got an entrée. I got the beef bowl with the broth and my husband got the dry noodles with no meat we ended up switching because I liked his butter, but the beef broth was still really good. All in all we spent about $30 which was totally reasonably priced. Everything came out in a timely manner as well. 10/10 would come again and recommend!!
Great noodles, great value! The broth is great, I highly recommend Lucky Noodle restaurant too if you like this place: lamb soup
This was such a cute little location off the road, but the parking was not great. They were running a special when we visited that offered a plate of dumplings, ramen and a drink for under $20 (I believe). It was a great combo and the food was very delicious. The store was a bit small and when we left, we did see people waiting for tables.
Great soup and noodle spot. Food comes out blazing hot. Be careful with it. Food was good service was decent. Once you get your food they may just leave you alone. Definitely needed more napkins. Stuff will clear out your sinuses if you get it spicy. Good spot to try something different in San Antonio.
Really disappointed, especially after seeing so many great reviews. The ramen broth had a weird smell and off taste that ruined the whole dish. The noodles were fine, but the egg was way overcooked and rubbery. The only thing that was somewhat okay were the chicken dumplings, but even those weren’t anything special. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.
