Opinions de Orange Cat Coffee Co Lewiston
Very cute coffee joint that has high quality roasts for every flavor combination you could think of. Awesome outdoor seating and beautiful old hardwood floors inside mean that you'll be happy anywhere you can find a seat. There are some breakfast pastries for a lunch, but don't come here for a full meal. A great place to sit and catch up with anyone, or meet some of the Lewiston locals.
Fantastic coffee. It was my first time there and I simply asked for the type of coffee that I prefer. The manager's pick was perfect. The muffin, delicious.
Orange cat is my favorite local coffee shop. I am sure that I'm not the only one who loves it here. It's very easy to find. There is free parking on the side of the building. It's small and cozy inside and generally quiet. It's a great place to read a book, study, or just hang out with friends. There is a different coffee of the day every morning... so it never gets boring for everyday costumers. They are very quick and never have messed up my drinks. There scones are by far my favorite thing there... make sure you try one. They are baked fresh every morning. Sooo yummy. Also the Oscars overload is a great drink! Orange cat is always a good time!
True Community Coffee Shop! Great coffee @ affordable price. Homemade soup during the week that sells out fast. Nice lunch menu. Muffins, scones and cookies. Predictable and always great. Love this shop!
'Great coffee house' does no justice. From the huge, and I mean huge, coffee bean selection, to in-house baked scones that smell and taste incredible, the friendly, eclectic service to the cozy atmosphere, this place has got to be visited when you go up to Lewiston. I grew up in this town, and try to make it a point to stop here every time I am back up from the Erie county suburbs.
I think they served me the best coffee of my life. I can’t wait to stop by on my next trip.
Extremely cozy place. I just wish they had a bit larger variety of baked stuff to complement coffee/tea
My favorite spot to go when I went to Niagara. Hands down the best coffee shop in WNY. Unbeatable flavors to chose from along with amazing baked goods. I will drive from Buffalo just to go to Orange Cat. The atmosphere is excellent and the staff is fantastic!
They have the best coffee bean selection to take home. I use their chocolate peanut butter for my cold brew and it hits everytime. Their lattes and regular coffee is very good as well for a decent price. Much better than any Starbucks. The workers are always super nice too even if they get busy. Make this your staple if you haven't tried them before.
Simply the best ...coffee, people, muffins, atmosphere.... And the Orange (and other color) Cats are the best! Very much my favorite place in Lewiston! I wish it were closer... But worth the trip from everywhere! ❤️ ☕
Great place for coffee and to meet friends. Very reasonably priced and great muffins
Underrated cafe in a small area away from the touristy Niagara falls Peaceful cute and relaxing spot to chill and have coffee and take a break and just enjoy the views ! The baristas were kind and very welcoming and the great thing is all their baked goods are vegetarian! Yes the baked items are Jain friendly ( stricter version of vegetarian diet for Indians ) They also sell their own blend of roasted coffee too and from a bunch of other roasteries as well ! 10/10 would recommend coming here even as a tourist if you are into coffee 10/10 would be
I was taking a walk and decided to grab some coffee. I ordered and Iced Mocha, it was way better then I expected. The decor was very inviting, comfortable, and cute. The service was wonderful. There was a even a little quiet room in the back, this room is mostly used for doing work or studying. I definitely recommend if you want to quickly grab a cup of coffee or even stay and catch up on some work.
Genuinely love this place! The coffee is phenomenal. Best ariund by far! Almost NYC vibes with the staff. Kinda rude but they'll make you a great coffee! The ladies are typically great, but I've had consistently bad experiences with the male batista. He just seems too miserable to be working in such an awesome place! Lewiston tends to get many tourists and I've watched him consistently deadpans or speaks condescending to customers, making them feel dumb for not fully understanding the menu upon arrival. Hence why I feel they have NYC vibes. Coffee is truly phenomenal but if it wasn't, the customer service would drive me away quickly!!
Went there because of the name. I’m a cat person and love coffee so I had to check it out myself. I got an iced vanilla latte which tasted great! Other members in my party got and greatly enjoyed and iced mocha. The inside was very cute and loved seeing the assortment of coffee on the wall for purchase. 10/10 would recommend to any coffee (and cat) lovers
My favourite coffee beans ever! The flavours are delicious. In the turtle sundae beans the nuttiness really comes through, the vanilla pound cake is fantastic, and I can't wait to try the new bag of tiramisu beans I bought, they smell divine!
Orange Cat Coffee Co is such a cute location for delicious coffee and baked goods! The owners have converted an old house into a charming coffee place. It's the perfect place for a date or meeting up with a friend. They also offer a huge variety of teas that you can have made iced or hot.
Visited the Coffee shop and purchased Tea and Coffee. Just ordered more Black Berry Tea and Dark Morning. The atmosphere was so warm and cozy. The place smelled amazing. All I can say about Wendy and Nina is Awesome Sauce. Wish we had one in Baltimore!!
I tried Orange Cat for the first time last week and let’s just say I’ve been back almost everyday since. I had the chai latte over ice. So fresh tasting so pure. Not like all these processed drinks we have elsewhere. Pricing is perfect. I wish there was another one in Niagara Falls but I will continue to take the drive to Lewiston because it’s just that good. I will never go back to Starbucks.
Coffee is a lil thin, Comparatively. But the atmosphere is comfortable. The regulars who sit in the corner are a stitch. Good place to come down from the work week on a Friday evening outside. Good pastries. Great staff! Always friendly.
Positively the best place in NY to get coffee. Every Saturday I drive 40 minutes just to get coffee from here. It's crazy, but if you are in this area and have never tried it, you need to make a point to stop there. They have so many flavors and options. My son also says the muffins are amazing too.
Love this place! My husband and I take our toddler there all the time because he is obsessed with their homemade muffins that seem like they are always hot out of the oven. One of our favorite spots in Niagara County for coffee!
Stopped in for the first time with a co worker from out of town. Counter person couldn’t have been nicer and explained the menu to us perfectly. The coffee was smooth and delicious. The smell inside the store was fabulous. Would highly recommend and try a cookie they’re great as well. Will be stopping in again when I’m in the area.
Coffee but more flavors than an ice cream shop 👍🏻
The Orange Cat Coffee shop is honestly one place I dont mind driving the distance for even with hangrey teenagers and a toddler. The food is amazing and you can tell that all the ingredients are fresh. I love the that the food is healthy and still tastes amazing and not like cardboard. The coffee and cappuccinos taste like heaven NO coffee shop around here including Tim Hortons and Starbucks compare. The best part is the outdoor seating with plenty of tables with umbrellas to help keep the summer sun from beating down on you.
Just got a screaming monkey Highly reccommend
Super good. Cute place. Outdoor seating. Indoor seating is close quarters if you're good with that, but it's quaint and homey. Lots of signature drinks and fun stuff. I had a Americano and it was good.
I got the blueberry maple pancake coffee and it was the best coffee I've ever had! Very smooth. I also enjoyed the cranberry orange muffin.
I love Orange Cat! Any time I'm in the Village (Lewiston) I have to stop and grab a coffee there. They have some baked goods too. My toddler loves the giant cookies. Everybody that works there is super friendly and accommodating...and NOT in a fake way. They are really just down to earth. The building is old and really cool. It's a cute place with a good amount of seating inside and plenty outside for the Spring/Summer.
This has been an amazing place to come to ever since I started living in Lewiston about 8 years ago. Everyone I know loves it - delicious baked goods, awesome coffee selections, lots of beans to buy (ground or full). Also everyone I have ever dealt with has been extremely friendly. Pricing is more then fair for the quality. 5 stars all the way!
Great coffee and they have a lot of flavors. One of the better iindependent shops.
Amazing Cafe! Whole host of exotic flavored home made roasts, either for a quick cup or as beans/powder to purchase. Great choice of wraps and salads with good portions, and incredible prices. All vegan too. Would choose this over Starbucks whenever I can! At a 15 min drive from the Niagara falls, it's easily accessible. Must visit if in the area!
Let us in with 1 minute to closing and I had the best flavored (caramel streudel I think) coffee I’ve had in quite some time. Great people. Great coffee.
Coffee was amazing! The staff are nice and friendly.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Small town coffee shop with so many options including fresh baked goods. Even the dog gets excited when we pull up haha highly recommend getting some ground coffee/tea to take home. Personal favs include Almond Amaretto, French Toast & Highland Grogg. Staple in Lewiston, don't miss it.
I've been here twice now and the staff are awesome the coffees are so good and they have an incredibly unique and delicious latte list with daily and seasonal specials! So many options for vegans as well including the baked goods! Can't recommend going here enough. If it was closer to me I'd be there weekly.
store was 10/10.. this beautiful barista boy with beautiful long brown hair and beautiful jewelry and beautiful eyes and amazing fashion sense made me the most wonderful coffee i’ve ever had!! i believe it was called the roastmaster select. he was so handsome and his muscles were huge.
Orange Cat is a mainstay go to for people in the Niagara Falls Lewiston Youngstown area and even points beyond. Weather allowing, you can sit outdoors and catch up on all the local ongoings. Look around and enjoy a delicious pastry as you saunter over and pick out your favorite bean for a fresh brewed coffee . Or pick a new one each time and take it home. If you prefer just walk up to the counter and tell them what you want and they will fix you up.
I popped over the border for a peek at the Orange Cat, and what delights awaited inside! This a haven of good vibes, great conversation, living history, cozy décor, smorgasbord-level whole bean offerings, delicious hot coffee, and super friendly staff. Thank you, ladies, for your lovely welcome and service.
Love this cafe! If in Lewiston must try. The kind of varieties of coffee they have is commendable. They have a good variety of muffins and scones to go with their coffee. The vibe and atmosphere is really cozy and comfortable.
I enjoy grabbing a coffee and a lil snack here. My favorite coffee spot to go to. The selections are delicious, service is quick in such a charming atmosphere. Love the vintage feel and especially when I find velvet furniture. If you don't feel like sitting inside they have a cute outdoor seating space alongside the scenic center street strip, great for strolling too!
Workers were friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that all of the baked goods are vegan. Cappuccino was so so, but the charming atmosphere and delicious baked goods made up for it; would definitely go back!
This is my absolute favorite coffee shop. They have a large coffee selection and always have two options of decaf. Their cookies are some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and staff is always welcoming, friendly, and providing prompt service. I highly recommend Orange Cat!
I live in Michigan and frequently order coffee from here, and when I drive in to NY to work I frequent to pick up several bags of coffee to bring home with me. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and the owner is amazing! Last visit they accidentally forgot to package a “to go” bag of coffee and immediately he shipped it to me no questions asked- best coffee around and couldn’t be a nicer place to frequent for amazing Java! Kudos!
It's one of the best coffee shops in WNY! I always make a stop at Orange Cat when I'm in the area. There are seats both inside and outside and parking available on the street in front and on the side street next to the shop. Great location with many other privately owned shops all around for a quick stop or a stroll down the main street to shop or people watch or both. They offer many specialty coffees with special flavors of the day for regular and decaf and all sorts or specialty hot and cold coffee drinks. I've always experienced fast, friendly service, fair prices, and great tasting coffee every time. They have a few desserts such as candy bars, pastries, and cookies. Stop by and get some great coffee!
My husband and I adore this place. The coffee flavors...outstanding..taste? Since they flavor with essential oils no need for sugar ...delicious..service is always pleasant and and helpful.....I currently have 5 flavors in my kitchen and will certainly keep it well stocked!! 😁
We were in the Niagara Falls area and took a drive to Lewiston to visit your shop after reading some reviews. What a gem! We went back again today, it was that good! The lady who waited on us yesterday morning 10/24, was awesome! She suggested some drinks and also gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Lewiston for our anniversary dinner that evening. I wish I’d caught her name because she was phenomenal! Her outgoing, welcoming personality made our day. The coffee, chai, and muffins were also great!
Love Orange Cat , my favorite place for Chai Latte! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Best gosh darn cafe ive ever been to! I highly recommend the splendid iced chai latte! I grew up coming here and always will. Love the staff and highly recommend! Also the baked goods r rlly good :)) Anyone who says tim hortons is better should check themselves because they are wrecking themselves. Orange Cat is 10000000% more immaculate
I love this place so much. I'm from NJ and make it a point to go to Orange Cat every time I'm in town visiting friends, I've even had their coffee sent to me from a friend because I couldn't stop thinking about it! The flavors are incredible, just took a pound of cookie butter flavor home and it's delicious! Can't forget the cookies either! I fantasize about the peanut butter chocolate chip one often. 😂 Staff is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, all around a 10/10!
What a cute place! It has its own old charm. Huge coffee variety, you can pick any beans and try it out! Great selections of drinks!
Great place! Car for the first time today… Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Being a barista in the past from when I lived NYC the environment was perfect! I’ll definitely be coming back!! Clean place also.
If you are in the area, there is no valid excuse not to visit. This is a very cute coffee shop with an excellent selection and some of the friendliest people that you'll ever meet.
My favorite place to go been going sense 2 and they all know my name and what I always get. Overall the best place to go in Lewiston. Ps Vance Joy went there and liked it
Funky coffee shop. Great outdoor seating area, and super cozy indoor rooms to eat, drink and catch up with friends. Delicious homemade treats, excellent (wide variety!) of coffees, and many gifts to buy as well.
Love their ground coffee selection of all flavors and origins as well as blended teas and healthy snacks. Crafted coffee and tea drinks also available. Wonderful baristas.
This little coffee house gets extremely busy. I walked in and 2 minutes after there was a line outside. Coffee was great too! Excellence! Worth the trip or the visit. I didn’t see an orange cat either.
I love Orange Cat! They seriously have the best coffee/drinks in the area, and everyone who works there is so sweet and accommodating. They make you feel right at home :)
This place was recommended to us during the drive home, well worth the 10min detour. Excellent brewed coffee, much better than any of the large franchise places. Unique atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Can’t comment on the food, as we only had the coffees.
Love their smoothies and cold coffees! My boyfriend also recommends the Dirty Irishmen throw a little cinnamon on top that they offer and its a pretty good cup of Joe. The place is pretty small so its annoying when theres a long line of people but other than that love this place!
Visited twice while seeing family in Lewiston. Drip coffee and iced brew were both so good. Love the options they provide for the drip coffee. Muffin and scone and both were delicious. Scone was very hearty not as crumbly as a traditional scone but we all know how recipes vary. Still delicious. Service with a smile and upbeat attitude both times. Atmosphere is so neat. Welcoming and hip without being pretentious. Definitely recommend. So nice to have a shop open early too for us caffeine addicts who rise with the sun.
Cute unique coffee shop within a converted old home, with lots of flavored coffees to choose for purchase. Good list of signature latte flavor mixes as well. Good for hang out or to come and study. Outdoor seating as well. Staff was nice, but not super friendly. Seems as this is frequented by locals or regulars. I got the baklava latte. Very good coffee, also have cookies and scones !
COFFEE WAS DELICIOUS!!! It was some kind of cashew coffee They also have different coffee flavors every day! They also do iced coffee and iced lattes and breves . Smoothies I saw cookies also and other drinks. Tshirts for sale! Bought a bag to take home as we come from Long Island Inside and outside seating Also had a banana flavored coffee WOW!
This is an incredible coffee house with the building in it's original design. If you love coffee, they have a Huge selection of both decaf and leaded coffee's brewed and for sale by the pound. Service and staff were excellent. The baked goods are homemade. They have seating in the main area and in the back room with comfy seating and very kid friendly. Also have outside seating , weather permitting.
Great Chai latte!! The best I've ever had. Cool, funky, small cafe style in a house setting with two rooms for sitting. Nice and quaint. Prices a bit steep but the atmosphere is wonderful. Outside tables in the summer. Cozy inside seating for the winter. You can buy pounds of coffee or just get a cup. Not really a place to eat but they have some vegan options like homemade cookies. Reminds me of Spot coffee on Delaware but much closer to home for me. Right in the heart of the village of Lewiston. Easy, free parking with shops places of interest within walking distance. Owners are super people ready to accommodate. Always specials to choose from with unique taste options. A fun place.
If you prefer quaint , little places to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a quiet conversation with a friend..this is the place for you.
Actually is more of a 4.9. The best coffee house I know (even outshines the local favorite Spot Coffee). The only reason it is not a perfect 5 is because the pastries are often dry. The people here are fantastic, and knowledgeable, and just plain nice. And don’t get me started on the specialty drinks… chef’s kiss. My one request would be that they serve for-here orders in mugs. Delicious coffee deserves to be in ceramic.
I went in for the first time. Looked around and was overwhelmed by the amount of whole coffee beans that they have on display. Great selection, something for everyone. Went up to the counter and someone from behind there who I couldn't see kinda said can I help you? I said ill just have a coffee please. She poured me a cup of there house blend. I noticed it was almost clear when I got it so I knew it was going to be weak. Left the shop and started to drink the coffee. It was like brown water. No taste and was weaker then Tim Hortons. I would recommend getting something other then the house blend. Pros: good selection, good prices $1.35 for med house blend, cool building Cons: to much selection, staff needs to be more visible, house blend needs to be revamped, overall I would maybe give it one more shot and order something else. If that isn't good I wouldn't go back.
We were in town on a quick vacation and spotted this place driving by. We were intrigued by the name and the great-looking outdoor space. They have a pretty expansive menu and a lot of coffee and flavoring options. However, we didn't love the customer service from either of the two staff members that served us. I generally believe in leaving only positive reviews, but I was unsettled by the experience I had here.
Charming little coffee shop. Was not a big fan of the coffee and ended up with some grounds in my cup. The chocolate chip muffin was okay, it tasted like it had a little too much flour or something.
Interesting place. Maybe a little haunted feel to it. The Coffee is good. There's a few Lewiston Beatniks that you might see hanging out. One Lady was drawing pictures as she had her Coffee. It's nice to see people enjoying themselves. Try The Orange Cat sometime instead of Tim Hortons.
I come here every weekend for the past 6 months, usually a great experience, but as of lately I feel like everyone there is miserable. One of the employees messed up my coffee and literally gave me a glass of water then gave me a ton of attitude about it. For how much money this place makes you would think they would treat their customers like gold. One bad experience turns 5 stars into 2
I'm a daily coffee drinker, and I make it a point to frequent local places. People had been telling me to check this place out over the last year since I moved to the area. I'm sorry I did. I stopped in around 8am on a weekday, there was one person ahead of me in line and 2 more people came in behind me a few minutes later. I was completely ignored by the staff after they skipped over me because some "regulars" came in behind me that they attended to first even though I was standing at the counter. I ended up ordering 2 drinks and the woman was so short with me while ordering and then rushed me out of there to get to the people she knew behind me. She didn't give me an order total or even acknowledge I was there. We were the only people in there so it's not like she was just trying to get the line moving. The 2 drinks I did order weren't even full and they were TERRIBLE. The iced coffee looked like tea it was so light and the americano I ordered wasn't prepared correctly either. Awful experience all around...won't be going back.
Went there 2 different times this summer. Ordered 2 of the same iced coffees. Both times they came out different. Too pricey for the order to be incorrect
I am not a coffee connoisseur but I have had a ton of different coffees and I grind my own beans at home. 4 of us came here for coffee and tea. The coffees were watered down and did not taste fresh, any simple Keurig coffee is 100 times better. The teas (guava and strawberry green teas) were some of the grossest teas I've ever had. We actually dumped them outside after a few (not enjoyable) sips. I have to say the cookie we bought was good and so was the service and the atmosphere. The low review is a reflection of how low quality the coffee and tea were, which for a "cafe", are items that must be of quality.
This is the first time I’ve ever taken the time to do a review of a restaurant, but I felt obliged given that the current reviews of this coffee shop misled me to believe that it was going to be a positive experience. The first time I visited the shop yielded a negative experience given that the barista seemed annoyed by my very presence. However, the coffee was decent enough to get me to come back a second time. The second visit yielded poor results given that our lattes tasted like over priced diner coffee that we didn’t end up drinking. I would recommend avoiding this place since the atmosphere seems to be the only justification for paying high prices and there are better shops nearby.
Asked to buy a large chocolate milk and three small cups (at $.50 apiece) so I could split it up amongst my three young kids who do not need full smalls, but the lady at the cash register insisted that I buy three small chocolate milks. They also served the chocolate milks in cups for hot coffee instead of the iced coffee cups which two of the young kids spilled all on themselves due to not being able to drink out of the small holes.
I came here with my family on February 7, 2025 at 1:50pm - blonde girl took my order. Match up her shift to the time. She was so rude and disrespectful to my family. My mom asked her "what is in the {seasonal drink} latte?" And the girl responded "it's a latte with those flavors" Just blatantly rude. My mom is 70 by the way, so how are you going to be mean to her when she's just asking what flavors are in the drink. She didn't have her glasses on and you could have just told her the flavors, instead she had to get smart with her. I was going to order, but after the attitude I received, I decided against it. My wife ordered an iced blended red velvet latte and the girl threw ice in it. When I asked if it could be blended, she said no, it's just served over ice; it tasted off, just like a normal coffee. My Chihuahua greatly disapproves of this place as well. My dog is a trained service dog and goes everywhere, and she's obviously pocket sized. She never hurt anybody and she was treated badly too. After we ordered the drinks, the girl that worked there said they don't allow dogs inside, even though we were inside the whole time ordering. If she would have said no dogs right from the start, we would have left, no questions asked, and would have avoided the unpleasant experience.
I am at the cat, ordered a specialty hot chi coffee drink that was made incorrectly they gave me a cold drink on on ice, i said thats ok i will keep it. Took a sip it was so sweet i could not drink it. Asked for just a cup of plane coffee, the tried to charge me again. The cup.of coffee is much cheapers than the specialty drink. I said I'm not paying for another drink and she just said fine and let me leave. I feel that that is very poor service and they did not try to accommodate me at all. My father owned a restaurant business for 45 years. I'm sorry but I was brought up learning that the customer is always right and we are here to make them happy. We are a service to the public. And arent we are as a business??? Or am i wrong.? This was my second time being here within a few days. Guess what? It may be my last!
