Had an amazing meal at The Saracens Head in Little Brington! The Tomahawk steak was absolutely incredible – cooked to perfection by Chef Will Mountain. Juicy, flavourful, and seriously impressive. Finished with the Eton Mess, which was the perfect mix of sweet, light, and indulgent. Big thanks to Grace, who looked after us so well – super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Just had a fantastic meal at The Saracens Head in Little Brington. The Tomahawk steak was next level – perfectly cooked by Chef Will Mountain, full of flavour and beautifully done. We finished with the Eton Mess, which was light, delicious, and the ideal way to end the meal. Grace looked after us so well – friendly, welcoming, and made the whole evening really enjoyable. Already looking forward to our next visit!

We found this lovely little place in Little Brington through a friends reccomendation. We went on a Sunday as we heard their Sunday roasts are to die for and this was not wrong! You need to book a reservation if coming on a Sunday as they are fully booked and with good reason! Our table had the lamb/beef roasts and also the pie of the day which was pork with pear and parsnip. When the meals came to the table the Yorkshire puddings were almost the size of my head! Huge! But just how a Yorkshire pudding should be! Light and fluffy with a golden crisp. The lamb was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth and the vegetables were well seasoned and flavoursome to the point my partner ate a parsnip and liked it for the first time in his life! So that’s got to say something for how lovely the food was! The roasts came with roasted vegetables and potatoes but also some side bowls containing red cabbage, greens and cauliflower cheese, all very nice! Despite saying we were too full to move we still found room for sticky toffee pudding and ice cream! Which was lovely! The staff were very friendly and attentive and overall it was a wonderful meal and atmosphere. They are also dog friendly in the bar and have a nice covered outdoor space as well. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you’re passing this way.

Fantastic little pub, we were so impressed with our dinner we decided to come back a few days later and check out the lunch menu! Would recommend, it's dog friendly. The only thing I would like to see is a cocktail offer or themed nights (steak & bottle of wine) which would make it even nicer.

Great food in a traditional village pub.

The Sunday roast is exceptional and the only meal you will need to eat all day. The dining room is warm and welcoming, the bar is also welcoming and will accommodate your dog. The staff is kind, welcoming and only enhance your experience.

Our first experience of The Saracens Head and we couldn't have asked for a better! From start to finish we loved it. Service was fantastic. The staff were perfectly attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. The garden area looked great and the interior decor of the restaurant was cosy and stylish. We will most certainly return very soon. Highly recommend!

Really nice location, the waiter Sam was great. Food was stupendous, I had the pate for starter which was just enough to not ruin the main course, which was pie of the day. On that day it was venison. I cannot understand how the pie pasty was so flakey and light but kept the filling in until you cut into it. The mash potato was silky smooth, the gravy was rich and full of flavour. I'd like to come back and try another pie of the day.

Even from the exterior Christmas decorations this bar/restaurant looked very inviting. Very friendly and the food was excellent. No small portions here! Certainly worth a return visit in the near future.

Just returned from a fantastic Sunday lunch here. We ordered the roast beef and the roast pork. I deliberately chose this pub as on their website they sated that they serve the beef pink and rare - and I was not disappointed! The beef was sensational and the veg and trimmings were perfectly cooked. It came with cauliflower cheese, a green cabbage and and a red cabbage, with potatoes, carrots and a giant Yorkshire pudding. Had to ask for a second jug of gravy as portions were small but it arrived swiftly. Without a doubt one of the best roast beef dinners I've ever had! The crackling that came with the pork was incredibly small, and more of a sliver, but still very tasty. Probably better for the waistline this way but would have been nice if this was a bit bigger. All in all big congrats to the chef and also the serving staff who were very pleasant. In short, the Saracen's Head is an absolute cracker of a gastropub, cannot wait to return and sample more!

Visited for lunch with my mum and dad. The place is cozy and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. We were served by Molly and Emma; thank you for a wonderful lunch. The food was first class! We had a baked Camembert and mushrooms starters and I had the pie of the day, which I must say was fantastic- just how pies should be. I highly recommend this place. We arrived not long after opening so we had a choice of tables, but best to reserve - it was definitely popular- even on a Tuesday lunch!

We went with some friends and we all had fabulous food, the menu sounded so delicious it was difficult to choose! The tables were all spaced out very well and the chairs were really comfy, the waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. A really lovely dining experience can HIGHLY recommend.

Where do I start, we had our wedding meal here, Denika was an absolute star from start to finish helping organise menus. The room was beautifully set up for us, along with drinks on arrival. All staff were amazing and happy to help. Atmosphere was lovely, great setting all round. A huge thank you for helping us create such lovely wedding memories.

Had the most fantastic experience at The Saracen’s Head! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. What truly made the visit memorable, though, was the wonderful service from Millie. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout our entire visit. Her friendly attitude and professionalism really stood out and made the whole experience feel extra special. You can tell she takes real pride in what she does. A huge thank you to Millie and the whole team at The Saracen’s Head – we’ll definitely be coming back!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here! The roast dinner was amazing — generous portions, rich flavors, and everything served piping hot. What really made our visit extra special, though, was our waiter. He was incredibly friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel welcome from start to finish. A perfect Sunday treat — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Have always been a local here and absolutely love the pub. Recently I held my dad’s surprise 70th birthday here, not an easy task when he also is very much a local! However the staff were amazing! Denika and Shaun went above and beyond to help organise, plan and execute the surprise, the chef absolutely DELIVERED on the food, and Shaun & Noah were fantastic behind the bar on the night! Massive thanks to the team, your all fab, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you!

We had our anniversary Sunday lunch at the Saracen’s Head and took our young cocker spaniel to make it more of a challenge. The staff were very good and promptly found a water bowl for the pup whilst taking our drink and food order. We ate at a window table in the bar. The food arrived in good time; it was plentiful and delicious (a Veggie Roast with sprouts, cauliflower cheese and red cabbage and a Steak Burger with chunky chips). Our pup loved the whole thing and so did we - thank you!

Cosy vibes and excellent food on a very cold November evening. The Sunday roast was very good, I had the chicken (tender and juicy ) and my friend had beef - perfectly pink and a generous portion. The star of the show however was the crispy pork belly starter - truly delicious!

A brilliant country pub with a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent, well cooked, generous, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Service is superb: friendly, efficient, and attentive without hovering. We’ll be back.

Lovely pub, very cosy and traditional feel. Staff were all very helpful and accommodating and we had some lovely food, I had the beef pie which was full to the brim with meat. The sandwiches also looked very nice!! Would go again and recommend!

An average Sunday roast. Food was good especially the cauliflower cheese. Service was average nothing exceptional. Would I go again, yes but I’ll not be rushing back.

We had a nice time at this pub for dinner, it's a nice old pub in a nice quiet village. The drinks prices were good, however I found the main courses slightly overpriced. The food was good generally, and I would go back here again if I was in the area. The service was good and the range of items on the menu were good. I had the Pigeon starter which was tasty and unique, and then the Italian burger which was tasty with its gorgonzola and also the burger buns were tasty and fresh. The fries were also good.

In Little Brington. A unassuming little pub, that is very popular for its restaurant class food. Lovely beer garden for when the English weather permits. I have included the road in, and the abandoned church on the corner of Roman Road. Locals were very friendly.

Small quaint pub in the countryside, beautiful surrounding and an old world feel. Bustling busy and welcoming! Roast was pretty good and dessert was ok. Slightly slow service but it was really busy that day. Would definitely go back ☺️

What’s changed? Like others this has been our go to for great food, Sunday lunch last weekend was not the usual standard. Beef very rare, roast potatoes (2) so hard and over cooked, cauliflower cheese burnt, pigs in blankets looked like my bbq offerings!… just OK . Sorry, but if you don’t know you can’t review. Hope to see you soon 🤔

We have eaten there before several times at various times of the year, including Christmas. It has always been excellent, but today was very disappointing. The turkey portion was so small that it compared to the child's portion. We did ask for a second piece, which was delivered promptly. The beef portions have also reduced a lot, as have the roastvpotatoes (2 small pieces that were rather stale). Very sad to see the quantity and quality reduce, while the prices are going up.

We have eaten here many times in the past and it has been very enjoyable. This weekend was very different. The roast pork belly was overcooked and dried up. The apple & berry crumble was burnt. The replacement sweet did not arrive, the response to our complaint was casual in the extreme. We will not be eating here again!! The portion size, which in the past has been good, was very poor. The vegetable selection in particular was appropriate for a table of two, NOT four!

Please avoid for ther xmas dinner I have never had such a bad meal there were 7 of us and all disappointed turkey was dry we had 1 carrot 2 roast potatoes but we could not cut as were so over done pig in blanket all were burnt and a slice of cabbage was also burnt so not a lot of food even the rice pudding had hard grains in it I am not a fussy eater but I have never had any tho g this bad ever on a plus side the waiter and waitress were really good and very polite so thank you to them Cabot even give 1 star for food

V
Vince Money

Most disappointing experience! We have eaten here regularly over the last few years and it was always amazing. But there is a new chef and it was very poor. The turkey balloting was a small piece of turkey 2 potatoes a leaf of cabbage and a pig in blanket. Not stuffed with sausages or any of the other ingredients advertised. The duck liver starter was also missing the shallots and sourdough. And the cheeseboard was just Stilton and sticky pickle. Check the menu and insist you get what you paid for.poor. very poor
