The best General Tso's chicken I've ever had. But....the delivery driver is so unfriendly. He doesn't smile or speak to you. When this one driver shows up, I don't tip him. I'm not tipping rude people.
My name Jordan, kiven my boy and I love all the food. Comes fresh and hot all the time I definitely recommend.👌
I love china garden! This is my favorite Chinese restaurant and my family and I never go anywhere else. We’ve been ordering from here for years, when we call they already know our address! I love china garden!!!
We hadn't ordered from here in quite a long time but so glad we did. Everything was very delicious. Pork Egg Foo Young, Pork LoMein, Chicken and Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein. ALL excellent!
The people here are always so nice and the food is consistent and delicious every single time! We drive here from the other side of BVille and our food is always hot by the time we get back which is impressive! My boyfriend and I get Chinese about once a week and this is our go to spot! Always the best and will always come back!
Got a delivery order a couple weeks ago. Was fantastic. Ordered General Tso's and sweet & sour chicken, with noodles instead of rice. Lots of food, turned out to be around $21. Delivery guy took way less than expected; food was in my hands not 20 minutes from when I first called. Delivery guy was extremely polite and spoke good English. Naturally, restaurants are sometimes hit and miss, it's inevitable, but I've eaten here a couple times and have had nothing but good experiences.
They were especially polite on the phone and in person. The delivery was much quicker than we had expected and the food was absolutely fantastic! The chicken is real chucks of chicken not processed or pressed chicken. This was our first time ordering from here and it will now be our go to!...
Since we’ve moved to this area in July, we’ve ordered from here three times. Every time it’s so good. Never messed up an order, and always got it extremely fast to our door, food piping hot. We love it!
My go to chinese place. They’re the only one that gets the fried rice and crab rangoons right every single time. Highly recommend!!
New Update - My son has been diagnosed with a condition k own as EOE (Eosiniphilic Esophoagitis). It cause major allergic reactions from certain foods. Anyway these great people have done a great job helping my son in avoiding the foods that trigger his reactions. Making LoMein with Rice Noodles and cooking Generals Tsos Chicken without the breading as well as other things. We truly appreciate your help. Thank you very much. My wife and I order from here quite often. They do a fantastic job on the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce. My son is a huge fan of the Generals Chicken. The family that runs the place are quite nice, always polite and seem to really care if you enjoy the food. We enjoy the long mein and one of my favorites are the fried wantons dipped in duck sauce. They are crunchy and have a savory meat inside. Combined with the duck sauce it combines salty and sweet. Try em out next time. Keep up the great work.
Very good customer service and great food!
Food is always great, always hot, service is okay. They are kind of short, but never rude. I think it’s just how they are. Don’t read into the comments. I order from this place all the time. I live in Liverpool and this is the ONLY Chinese restaurant I’ll order from. I just want to add that it’s been 2 years and I still stand by this comment. THE BEST!! Heads up, the website is wrong. The beef chow fun is NOT the thick noodles. The restaurant was kind enough to take care of this issue for me. But be aware if ordering online

Service was quick and polite, probably one of the best chinese food places in Syracuse.
This is one of my favorite Chinese places in the area, I think the food is pretty good, the quantity of food for the cost is good. Little surprised the reviews arnt a bit higher. I got take out, there isn't a ton of seating, if any at all, if you wanted to dine in.
Great food with quick service and amazing portions.
The food in China Garden is amazing. I recommend the general tso’s chicken, which is crispy and juicy. The efficiency is really fast. When I walk in order, it normally just takes 5-10 mins to wait. Also, the service is really nice too. You guys should definitely try.

Very well run fast business along with great service. Food is always authentic and extremely good. Highly recommended!

I gave this place 4 stars before, today if I could give it a half a star i would. The food was HORRIBLE to say the least.... absolutely no flavor, not even the sauce..worst part was I ordered inside, and was hand delivered my order when I got home, the sauce from one of the dishes was all on the bottom of the paperbag inside. Thank God they put a plastic bag over the paper bag because that would have been a mess all over my car. It was as if someone had just poured sauce in the bottom of the bag and then neatly placed my dish containers on top of one another. Egg rolls....WOW im just lost for words... just shredded cabbage with no flavor amongst anything else, other vegetables, rolled up in a soggy flavorless shell... never again..
One of the few foods my Grandma will actually still eat. Awesome delivery guy, never late & super friendly staff. Some dinners are better (fresher) than others, but i wouldn't say we've ever been dissatisfied.
First time using China Garden and we really enjoyed it. We are on a search for a new and reliable Chinese restaurant and I can confidently say we will order again. We got delivery and it was beyond the 45 min wait. The gentleman who delivered was very kind and it was clear everyone else in our neighborhood was keeping him busy. If you live close it may make more sense to pick up your food. The food was delivered with care, no leaks, everything was still hot and it was all very good. My wife loved the general tso's tofu and her steamed vegetables. I'd agree that the flavor was spectacular on the tofu. I got the bourbon chicken and it was good but I'll likely try to find something else. The cook on it was perfect though. We had steamed veggie dumplings and again but we will go with pork next time. The lo mein was delicious and both the brown and white rice were just like every other Chinese restaurant that does rice. They did a very nice job and there is much more to try. Prices are reasonable and I recommend you give it a try!

China Garden Restaurant is a casual Chinese eatery that delivers familiar flavors and comforting dishes at reasonable prices, making it a solid choice for everyday meals. The menu offers classics like General Tso’s chicken, lo mein, fried rice, and sweet and sour options that tend to come in generous portions. While some dishes can lean toward standard takeout style, many arrive hot and satisfying with a good balance of savory sauces and fresh vegetables.
Convenient but better food a little further away, went back and got pepper steak. Large order had maybe half to a quarter of a pepper, and the steak was scarce at best.
I am a fan of there food! The gentleman who delivers is very friendly as well. I have not had the best of luck with customer service over the phone. They're rude everytime. This last time costed them a customer. Being that they no longer have a menu on the site, I contemplated on what to get. I was literally on the phone less than 2 minutes, he said "figure it out, call back" in the same breath I was just going to order my regular. He hung up in my face.
Found a nail in my food the first time in 15 years. 🤢 A metal nail. I'll give them 3 because they refunded me.. found it in the general chicken.
This was take out. Very surprised that basic condiments were not supplied or offered. Who doesn't get soy sauce and duck sauce with their Chinese food? There was a display of stuff with a hand made sign " 50cents ". You want me to pay extra for what should be included? My egg foo young was mediocre. Patties were very thin. Considering the 9.95 combo price it's basically eggs not prime rib or lobster. Very disappointed. Egg rolls were just shredded cabbage. The pan fried dumplings were delicious. The only plus to this meal. Choose wisely if you order here.
Fast, friendly service. The Asia fried rice was a bit underdone and meh, and if you fear spicy(I love it), don't worry, pretty tame. General Tso chicken-had to add 2 hot sauce packs to even get any zing. Room for improvement...or so Americanized, anyone can eat here.
We both ordered egg foo young and brown rice . My wife's egg foo young had egg shells in it . Mine was good and what I expected cost was good

Tried here once before and it was so so. Thought we would give it another try tonight it was not good. The young man at the counter was a bit rude and looked annoyed when I was trying to order. Worst sesame chicken I've had in a long time. ( They didn't even garnish it with sesame seeds) Very bland and the chicken was hard and coated in a dark thick sauce that tasted almost like bbq sauce. Won't be trying here again, it was a waste of money
I’d love to be able to comment on the food but after waiting an hour and 45 min I still don’t have my food. When I called to see where food was he said he’ll be there in a few min and hung up
While the staff was nice everything else needs a better effort. Online ordering has no confirmation, flimsy paper containers wilt and can’t keep leftovers. None of that would matter if the food was tastier.
Probably the worst Chinese takeout restaurant I’ve tried in the area, and I think I’m closing in on trying all of them. The curry chicken wasn’t bad, but it was worse than I could get anywhere else nearby, but the white rice was actually bad. Somehow both too wet in spots but also too hard/undercooked in others. I personally won’t be back unless I find myself craving Chinese takeout and China Garden is the only open restaurant. I might have just gotten a bad batch, but there are too many other better places nearby to gamble another 15 or so dollars on a meal here.
Ordered a large Kung Pao chicken. The taste is horrible and only had about 6 small pieces of chicken. The rest is as you can see in the picture. Mostly pea nuts. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else for good Chinese food.

Everything we ordered was obviously reheated. Stringy tough chicken, you know exactly what I mean. Maybe I made a mistake by ordering at 8 PM on a Sunday? Luke warm and blatanly cooked hours before I got the meal. Got the Seasme, Sweet and sour and some rice. I've had better Chinese reheated in my own microwave a day later. The search for good Chinese continues.
Service was fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. The store is filthy. Dust bunnies and cobwebs and dead bugs hand from everything out front. I would not have ordered had I seen this first. Food was ok, except the egg rolls were not edible due to the deep fryer oil being dirty. It tasted like it had not been changed in a while. Still in search of good Chinese food in CNY.

I would not recommend China Garden I usually get take out the delivery Driver is unfriendly and sometimes Rude.. We ordered chicken wings and Chicken Fried Rice AND The Chicken Wings had a Spoiled Taste. When we Called and Spoke with the manager they sent more chicken The Taste was a little better than the first order. The driver refused to take the first order call back again the manager was very rude we gave this restaurant more than one chance it's a no for me I won't be going back to this restaurant ever again disgusting attitudes disgusting food!!!
I want to say people/ customers please take heed to the reviews please to this restaurant China Garden. I ordered and it was a delivery of 39.00 dollars that included taxes, delivery fee when the guy came to deliver we were attendant to give a tip after he gave our order and signed the bill he than asked for a tip and would not walk away until we got our pocket book please customers out there we can’t get nothing for free and as a delivery costumer my attention was to give a tip now I gave a tip but it wasn’t what he was expect I’m going to find another place if anyone have a opinion please let me know
Ordered sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice. I got home and the chicken tasted sour or spoiled. Called the location to get a refund and they hung up on me. Called and spoke to someone else who put on the phone with manager. They agreed to give me the refund. I got to the location and they guy proceeded to tell me how they make it all the time. The person was extremely rude. Needless to say I will not go back there ever. Terrible customer service.
In the past two years this place has nearly doubled their prices, what used to be a 14$ order is 23$ and that’s just a regular order of chicken and broccoli with a damn pork roll. An if you pay with card it’s an upcharge as well.
Will not order from here again. Was told it would be 50 minutes for a delivery, took over an hour and a half and some of my food was missing. Called to let them know, seemed rude and cut me off to read my order. I let them know I also ordered sesame chicken and they said they have my name and phone number and would give me sesame chicken for free... great. An hour and 25 minutes goes by, I called again checking on the status and they said "no we said for your order next time" which was not what I recall from the previous conversation. So I waited over 3 hours for sesame chicken and never got it... waste of time.
I have been going here for the past 10+ years and never really had an issue. Last night, we ordered dinner and it was absolutely disgusting. My food was all dried out and hard. It looked as if it had been sitting for a few days. My beef lo mein also tasted like a mixture of dirt and cigarettes. I will never ever order here again. Very disappointed.
Food was lukewarm...Fried rice had little to no flavor! Egg rolls(veggie) were rancid tasting! Never again!! Hubby was in the bathroom all night and some of the next day!🤬
Sesame chicken was pink and undercooked. Took it back and got attitude when they had to cook chicken properly and get us new meals. Terrible service, never ordering from there and highly wouldn’t recommend this place. 💯
The only good thin. About this place is the wait time. I ordered the lunch special which says on the menu that it includes a soup or egg roll. I got neither. The food was hot but tasted awful. I won’t be going back there again
The chicken they served my girlfriend and her family ended up giving them food poisoning and are being tested for listeria. BEWARE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Ordered chicken and broccoli from here tonight and was completely grossed out when I got home and went to take it out of the bag and there was juice pouring out everywhere! I've never seen so much juice in the chicken and broccoli from any Chinese place in my life. Once I cleaned up all the mess and got to eat my dinner, it was awful. Definitely won't be visiting there again. 😏👎

I tried China Garden, and it was a huge disappointment. The sweet and sour chicken was gross, the chicken with garlic was an unappetizing red color and tasted awful, and the General Tso’s chicken was mostly just breading covered in sauce. On top of that, I got sick after eating the General Tso’s chicken. The food quality was terrible overall, and I would not recommend eating here. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Ordered sechzuan beef and wonton soup. Beef tasted spoiled and the wonton filling tasted Really awful
Very bad don’t get this food I got food poisoning the next day. I asked for soft boneless ribs and they gave me hard ribs. Not okay. Don’t go here. $27 for 2 people.
I've been ordering from China Garden for quite some time and honestly never had an issue until tonight. My sister-in-law had almost $60 worth of food delivered, but wasn't here to collect it herself So she asked me to grab it for her. My sister-in-law and myself are genuinely very good tippers but because my sister-in-law wasn't there, and I wasn't sure what was on her card to be able to give a tip. I signed the receipt and handed it to the driver. The driver gave me the receipt back and said no tip no tip very sternly and started to reach for the food. When I tried to explain to him that it wasn't my money to tip with he still insisted that I tipped so as I was writing five dollars on the tip section of the receipt he's screaming $8.00 $8.00 in my face. I called and complained tonight and explained to them how rude that is and how angry I was, but I have since found out from other customers that this is not this gentleman's first time and still continues to harass people over a tip and the restaurant continues to allow this man to treat customers this way I will never order from this restaurant ever again
I loved going here until I got sick, I actuallly ate the food a second time because I didnt believe the food made me sick. They said if it tasted off I should’ve called that night, they said no one else complained. They also said if I want a refund I should call the bank and and the bank said if it’s about quality they can’t help. Funny how they charged me two dollars higher for no reason. No bueno. For 52.02 I didn’t order side of nausea and side of diarrhea.
I used to order from them all the time years ago. Until I got a bad order over a year ago. I forgave or forget and ordered from them again A few weeks ago. I debated over leaving a bad review but it has bothered me ever since because I paid good money. For a meal and I know they can do it good and right. Both times it was sesame chicken, and this last time it was at least a day old dried out crusty, they threw some new sauce on it and heated it up. It was horrible. I've had good luck with them before. But I won't try again.
