Food. Amazing. Drinks. On point. We came in with a group of 8, the service was fast and friendly. The margs were so good! I order the flautas they werent greasy or messy, the rice was flavorful. We came in at about 9pm, they helped us as if it were the middle of the day and not almost closing. Thank you so much for the great food and the excellent service, will definitely eat here again when we are in town!
The atmosphere was perfect for me; very quiet. The food was great and inexpensive. I had the #5 on the lunch mean, a beef and bean burrito. It was huge! Service was exceptional; Mason was amazing! Will be returning!
I am so sad doing this but to be fair i have to. For over a decade this has been my favorite Mexican venue. It's been a trustworthy value, the perfect balance between cost and quality. Unfortunately over the last 2 months that has changed. Sunday night I ordered tacos Monterey. It is my go to order. Always great street style tacos. What I got Sunday was a plate of diced overly dry meat. Beans I will not even grace by calling them charo beans. Green salsa with no flavor and guacamole that looked like... Well like it was made with mayo and mix... Y'all know what we call that. It sure ain't Mexican food or Texmex. I'm truly sad if anyone has a good place that is close to what this place was a few years ago please HMU!
First time there today. Great food great service extremely clean restaurant. Great $7.99 and $9.99 lunch specials. Definitely will be back
Damn good food, way better than the other places in the area.
This place was an unexpected dream. It's not clearly visible from 190W, but it's behind urgent doc/Joe's Italian building. The food was super, the service absolutely awesome, it was quiet but unlike most Mondays in Livingston, they're open & ready for business. You must give this place more than a try, enjoy it to every extent possible!
Very, very good food! Great staff and quiet atmosphere. The crispy taco was very crispy, yet light. The cheese enchilada was yummy, and the shrimp fajita quesadilla was exceptional! The queso was full of good onions and peppers. All around: a very good meal! We'll be back!
Used to eat here when I was younger before they moved buildings, it wasn't the same to me in the new place, the older place was one of my favorites in town. This time around I fell back in love with El Taquito. Our awesome server Eddie helped make it that much better, treating us with kindness and care, it was an amazing experience. He was very attentive and professional. I ended up with Al Pastor even though I didn't know they had it, just asked Eddie and he let us know they had an was pleased to get it for me. The spice and flavor of their Al Pastor is some of the best I've had, definitely make it just right. Plus, Eddie having been a bartender for 13 years or more making my margarita, it ended up way better than I expected. If you're looking for some awesome service and great Mexican food especially some traditional style stuff, just ask, then I suggest checking this place out. Ask for Eddie.
Been here a couple of times, food is pretty good. Service is friendly.
Our first time here. Food was delicious. Loved the fresh chips and chunky salsa. Fast friendly service. Will definitely come again later in the day for dinner. We had lunch. I had heard lots of positive comments from coworkers. So glad we gave it a try.
Unfortunately this place is tucked way back behind some other businesses. The parking is large but my vehicle and another were the only vehicles in the parking lot and it was about 4pm. When we walked in we were attended to promptly. We were sat by the window overlooking the neighboring car wash. It was rather warm! The windowsill was pretty dusty lots of dead bugs. That’s the bad! The food was the atmosphere. All the waitstaff made their way over to greet my children and I. I love that we are given not one salsa but FOUR different ones including their house CHUNKY salsa that our waitress Karla actually makes she said! The food come out quickly (again another table and ours were the only ones in the restaurant). The food was good. They also had freshly made Mexican/Tex-Mex goodies for sale at the counter.
Chicken breast and beef fajita were both tough, and not tasteful. The charro beans tasted like soap. We received our ticket and although we were paying separate, she brought the bill together. Not an issue, until I reminded her we were separate, and she just turned, made a face, and pointed at the register. Would not recommend. It felt unprofessional.
I gave this 2 stars because our server was great! I had been here years ago and it was better. I got the papa nachos and barely ate it. The ground beef was not good. Had the texture of canned dog food. The margaritas were ok. We won't be back though.
18% service charge for 5 people the service was extremely slow the food was cold and the fajita plate come with 4 pieces or meat 2 stake and 2 chicken that I had to cut up myself was the only thing that was hot but again I had to cut it up so the meat was pretty bland because the meat wasn't cut and seasoned not what I expected the Tacos we're cold and the grilled jalapeno was crunchy 😞 my kids were given full size cups of soda and then brought small cups with lids to pour it into Its not the first time I have eaten there but it'll be the last time
I found a black hair in my food when I was almost done. They offered another entree replacement. I had not only lost my appetite but was so disappointed that they didn't comp my meal. My hair is reddish brown, aka auburn. It was not my hair! Place was dead and I can see why. Take care of your guest or they will NOT RETURN!
HORRIBLE!!!!! Food was disgusting. Service was horrible. Out waitress disappeared left us with NO silverware. Definitely not worth the price
I had the worst experience at this restaurant. I don’t understand why this place has a high rating. Maybe this place was better before but as of now I don’t recommend this place at all to anyone. Please be aware. I was served 5 pieces of chicken breast when my plate on the menu was advertised as a whole chicken breast. If you tell the server your concern they would answer rudely and would just blame management. I do agree the server is not all at fault but has to be able to communicate this issues to management because they are loosing business. Their meats taste weird and their place don’t hold to sanitary standards. This place is horrible. I was really disappointed.
Horrible !!! Horrible!!! Horrible!!! Beef Fajita tasted old and had a weird smell to it. My Mother ordered "chicken breast covered in nacho cheese sauce" and received a kid's size portion chicken pieces, which was very dried and old. Service was horrible Do not recommend this place at all.
Ordered my food to go, when I picked it up I asked again if they double checked if the Queso was in there and the lady who rung up my food said yes, it was on my bill but when I got home there was no Queso. We paid card & they couldn’t give us a refund for just the Queso so we had to go back for it. This is also a picture of their fajitas.. I asked for mixed fajitas, just got these 4 pieces of meat & a bunch of onions & only rice and beans, no pico/guac
