Had a great experience!! Our server Chris was so kind, and all the staff we encountered with treated us great.

Wonderdul location and in my opinion, the food was delicious. The steak I had was made really well and left a good impression. I would return for sure.

Deliciously wholesome meals at an affordable price. Every meal on their menu is worth a try. They make the BEST spinach and artichoke dip. Their stuffed sole was just what the chef ordered today. "Love me some Thavma". They certainly an use more servers.

Went here for the first time. Had the grilled octopus and lamb. Very delicious and large portions. A nice find in the center of Livingston

I really enjoyed this place! Especially my server Rose. She’s so nice and friendly, answered all my questions about menu and gave some advice because I was a little confused. Food is tasty but service is amazing. Def will come back!!

Very nice service even got a candle on my partner's cake since it was her birthday. The lamb was melting in my mouth, the portions were really good and the price was reasonable.

Very accommodating without a reservation. Lucky for us to even got to sit outside. It's second story so you have a view and it's nice to view the sunset from there!

Outstanding food and service from start to finish. The appetizers - calamari, spinach/artichoke dip and pita bread were delicious. My husband and I had seafood entrees which were perfect. Highly recommend the chocolate molten cake and cheesecake. Our server was attentive and helpful throughout. We will definitely be returning! There's nice outdoor seating too and the ambience inside is quiet and laid back. We saw a nice mix of families with small kids, people on dates and retirees enjoying their meals.

I've only gotten takeout from here but the food and service are always off the charts amazing. I have never had anything from here that was amazing - servings are big with enough for leftovers. Love love this place

The staff is amazing and accommodating. Lunch here was the perfect place to catch up with an old friend. The food was delicious. They brought us containers to take part home, but we ate every last crumb. So good.

Sat on the balcony on a beautiful evening- food is delicious, offering authentic and Americanised options. Lovely restaurant, for take out or dining in. I used to get food for my parents from here for years, but THAVMA doesn’t need nostalgia to be held in high regard, this place is great!

Great meal, great service. We all found our food to be flavorful and tasted fresh, and our server was very helpful and attentive. We are still a little CoVid nervous so we dined on the patio, however the indoor seating seemed very appropriately spaced and probably would have been absolutely fine. Special dietary needs? We almost always have modifications thanks to one vegan and one dairy allergy in our party. Their menu has plenty of good options to begin with that are already a good fit or which are easily customized. In addition, our server answered all our many questions thoroughly and made some helpful recommendations. With kids? We were 4 adults and 1 infant and this place is very family friendly and accommodating. We will definitely dine here again if we are in the area.

We hosted a large party 40+ people for our baby's christening, and everyone loved the food, especially the delicious appetizers!! Alex and his team were accommodating and efficient, they made the event special. Highly recommended. Thank you!!

I was looking for a quiet place for a small family gathering and Thavma did not disappoint. We appreciate the ability to make last minute reservations online and found plenty of free parking when we arrived. The food was excellent; the grilled octopus and lamb kababs were our favorites. The portions were very large, and the deserts were very fresh. Service was friendly and effective. Would definitely return, also good for a casual client meeting, but do know in advance that it's BYOB.

My favorite local place . I love to seat outside overlooking the intersection. The food selection and quality is good.

Good is decent Shrimp saganaki was pretty light on cheese but flavorful. Kebabs were good Spinach pie was average

Great service! I got the mousakka with a side of Greek salad and it was delicious and big portions. The Greek salad dressing was a bit much but overall satisfying meal!

Falafel didn't taste like falafel but wasn't bad. We got a fancy hummus with avocado and balsamic mixed in which was decent.

It was good, Nice and modern. The lunch specials are great. I had the falafel kabob. It was cooked to perfection. And the price is right.

Been there a couple of times. The wait staff is great, warm, and friendly. The food is okay. Nothing I would complain about, it was all good. nothing blew my socks off. Will go back. The outside dining is to die for.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I understand they've been there for quite a few years. You walk in and it's very clean and open and inviting. there were three of us in our party and we got the hummus special which was Hummus and avocado with toasted bread rounds and pita. Our entrees were lamb and orzo, chicken brokolata and a lamb burger. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees and there was plenty to take home. Because of that we did not get dessert. my only complaint was the service was very very slow. We arrived on Saturday at 5: 30 and there were very few other people in the restaurant. It took at least 20 to 25 minutes for appetizer to arrive and we ate that. After we finished eating it still took about another half hour for our entrees to arrive. Other than the weight I would say the food was very good and fresh and it's worth going to but plan to spend a lot of time there

It is good but I was totally taken back by a 4.25 ice tea. Wow prices have skyrocketed around L Town

We ordered catering for about 30 people from this restaurant. We were very happy with the results and would do it again. We ordered chicken, steak, and shrimp, along with rice, vegetables, salad, and lots of other side items. Food was ready on time and was warm. Our guests enjoyed the food a lot. I communicated back and forth with them to get the order just right, taking some of their suggestions. I could nitpick a little bit that some of the special instructions that we agreed to were not carried out, but those were very minor in the grand scheme of things. Overall, great food, great communication with the staff, we got everything we ordered, and will be enjoying the leftovers for a few more days. I would definitely order again.

Good restaurant, good food but it is not a Mediterranean restaurant by any measure. The dishes on the menu and the food is an American eatery. There were pork chops unheard of in Mediterranean cuisine

I had never been to this restaurant, but was meeting a friend who said he ate there all the time and he loved it I thought my experience was terrible We ordered a mixed appetizer of supposedly Mediterranean specialties And I thought it was a total waste of money I had a lamb shish kebab I think they made the lamb walk all the way from Colorado It was supposed to be medium rare it turned out to be well done, and it was like chewing on an old leather belt They supposedly pilaf rice was unlike any other pilaf rice that I’ve ever eaten as it was tasteless I suggest if you want really great Mediterranean food go to West Orange and eat at 460 valley Way Check out their reviews and you will see people love the place

Having a reservation, my husband and i were seated upon arrival. However, it took a while before anyone took our actual order. We were seated inside and the customers seat d outdoors seemed to be getting their orders in quicker and more attentiveness from staff...so tip: maybe best to sit out doors if you want to be taken care of more promptly. Warm pita bread came out but nothing offered with it, no olive oil, no hummus...it just seemed like an awkward intro to meal...like bread with no butter or o. oil... The grilled octopus with salad was awesome....really enjoyed it. My husband had the Angus burger with fried onion which he really enjoyed. Yet again we had to wave down staff to get our bill taken care of although things had gotten a lot slower at the time. So again ,here I noticed little attentiveness to inside customers and because of that and the scallop dinner which was really just okay I was not entirely satisfied. We had tried this place a couple of years ago, seated outdoors, and service and ambiance was great...but not so indoors

Food tastes amazing!! Had a great first experience so I had to order it a second time. On my second order I ordered my steak Medium Well and it came out almost raw…. MOOOOOOOOO. Was very disappointed and had to recook my steak. Not sure if I will order again. Update 1 day later: got food poisoning… never again

I recently visited your restaurant and was disappointed with my experience. My order was not prepared as requested, and my server did not seem attentive or engaged. I also noticed that the restaurant appeared understaffed, which may have contributed to the lack of service and long wait times. I wanted to bring this to your attention because customer service and order accuracy are essential to a good dining experience. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve future visits for myself and other customers.

We had dined in this restaurant few years ago and got a piece of glass in lamb & orzo. Didn’t go to this restaurant after that. This valentine day we ordered two rack of lamb as take out thinking that we should give this a second chance. The lamb chops were completely burnt and tasted bitter. They were so tough and inedible. We had to throw out the food with no other option for dinner. The rack of lamb is probably the most expensive item in the menu and it is unacceptable to get such quality of food.

Had shrimp Santorini and I was very disappointed. They use tomatoe sauce or paste and sprinkles a few diced tomatoes in the dish. There was no garlic was in it. I also order chicken tenders for my kid there was nothing tender about them. I'm very disappointed and I will not come back.

Absolutely terrible experience! I've been coming to this restaurant for many years and it was wonderful. The quality has certainly declined over the last few months and today, I had to wait for over 10 minutes to get seated. On top of this, the staff was extremely rude with a very bad attitude. It was so intolerable that I walked out of the restaurant after ordering. Totally not worth the time or money.

We booked an outdoor table for 2 at 4pm on a Sunday, usually not a busy time. There was only one table occupied in the outdoor area and the hostess put us in the only table where the sun was coming straight to. We tried to organize ourselves but the sun was really strong. Since all the other tables were empty we asked to move to another table where the umbrella was blocking the sun because we wanted to enjoy the outdoor area, just without the sun straight to our face. We were informed that unfortunately that was the only table available as all the other were reserved. We stayed there, food was good and the waiter was trying to help as he saw it was hard for us to eat with the sun right in our face and in our food. However, the hostess couldn’t care less about us and never showed up to check our request. When we left at 4:50 pm ALL the other tables were still available, so honestly I don’t understand the reason of not giving us a different table. Great food, but I’m not coming back due to this unpleasant experience. I felt disrespected as a costumer on a very simple request.

Not only were we rushed to place our orders but they burn our rack of lamb. I asked for Branzino and supposedly they had run out. I order roasted potatoes, but they only had fries. We were celebrating a birthday, and they didn’t even allow us to order dessert! Don’t take late reservations if you are not willing to provide good service. I would never recommend this place.
