Great tacos! My partner and I ordered the Pastor Tacos and Carnita Tacos. The meat were cooked nicely and they were generous with the toppings (onions, pineapples, cilantro, etc.). We also ordered a carne asada plate that came with some soft taco and two sides (rice and fries). The Salsa verde was mild, tangy. zesty, on the contrary, the Salsa Roja was really spicy. The server returned a few times to ask if we’d like to order more food. We will totally revisit for the tacos and try out other dishes on the menu!

Benji's Taqueria Mexican Grill! Located on a busy intersection in West Orange, this taqueria open 7 days a week doesn't dissapoint. Although parking can be a bit difficult to find, I assure you it worth the couple trips around the block. Traditional Mexican food doled out in huge portions made with care from the kitchen staff. Servers take the time to explain the specials in detail and are sure to tailor the menu to your liking. Will be back for sure!

I love it! The birria tacos and Consomé were so delicious, but the Tostones were flavorless like no salt nada 😖 I love loved the Churros it was really good! I would definitely come back 🥰

I've tried them out twice and it's been good so far. The first time I enjoyed the enchiladas de pollo en mole and I was pleased by the flavor of the rice and beans. The enchiladas were pretty good, though I experienced an anxiety-inducing issue that came from the chicken. A dry and hard string of chicken ended up in the dish and I didn't notice it until I had a hard time swallowing anything else. I spent a few minutes trying to cough it up and let out a huge sigh of relief once successful. I am pretty sure this was an honest mistake on their end, anyway. I'd love them to add a bit more in their alambre dish for takeout since I felt the portion was a bit short for how much it cost.

This rating is only for their Birria tacos. (The restaurant has great food!) their birria tacos were not the best I’ve had. They weren’t crunchy and didn’t have much spices to bring out flavor. I would rate this taco a 2/5 stars. Not that it was bad but i wouldn’t consider it a good birria taco. Price: $11 for 3 tacos.

Pretty good local Mexican food! We ordered the Churrasco con Camarones (skirt steak with shrimp), Mexicana Quesadillas, Carnitas Tacos, and Churros. It was all yummy and I appreciated that it was authentic, but nothing necessarily wowed us. The best thing was their horchata drink! Get that with whatever you order - it was so good!

I love the food from Benji's when I go to eat there but I ordered for pick up this time and I ordered Chiles rellenos en salsa verde but they gave me just a little salsa verde the Chiles are to dry sadly. I hope next time won't be like that.

Had Nachos...were meh..refried beans in the description but none on the nachos. Barely any quacamole on it and just very average. Also had chicken tacos and campechano tacos..both were well flavored but again, stingy with the Cucumber, radish, and just a sliver of lime for four tacos was disappointing. The service is good, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cute but they use to be much better.

Be aware when you dine in there, they don't tell you that they add it service charge on your bill. And when you paid with credit card, the tips section was blank [hoping that you will give extra tips] - [very tricky] 👎👎👎 I got a bad tomato side for the quesadila when I ordered take out. It went bad 🤢 [how many days in the fridge already]. And the white sauce that they gave, it supposed to be sour cream sauce, but this was like just a mayonnaise, and the chicken was kinda dry. So, ate it together was just too blend 😖

The place is not bad, but the food has almost no flavor, it has a lot of fat, the sauces taste like water, there is not much flavor in the dishes in general. the service is not the best either.

Seafood soup was ordered when we got home we discovered they gave us beef soup instead which had hair in it. I called and spoke to a lady there and she told me I would have to pay the difference for the seafood soup which was fine, but she says I also would have to pay for delivery or pick up the soup. I find that they have no courtesy and I will not be buying from them again. She couldn’t even apologize for the hair I found in the soup. My husband was sick and needed the soup so I agreed to have the soup delivered for which I paid the lady who brought it over the difference, the delivery fee and tipped her real good.

I went to a restaurant yesterday where the bowl was 11.95 and had options on what kind of meat I wanted i chose steak and then added more steak for 2.00 then to add guac it’s a another 2 dollars . My bowl was $13.95 at the store Then the door dash menu is if you want to add steak , it’s $2.00 more Everything that I wanted at the vs a DoorDash menu not including tip is $21.00 with tip included it’s about $27 dollars . I wish businesses would stop doing this for take out . The convenience of take out shouldn’t be playing double of what it is at the store

Food is not good nor fresh. Got takeout, guacamole was brown, and chicken burrito bowl was not good. Everything tasted two days old. Couldn’t eat it.

They tell you theirs sauces already in the bag but it’s never any sauces beside sour cream that tastes like mayo. The sign for sauces is located on the floor of the restaurant basically you don’t even notice it. And they charge for the sauces that should already be in the bag. I think I only eat here because of the convenience. I’ve had way better birra tacos. The consumè sauce literally is none flavorful & very much watered down. . I just have to stop coming here overall.

I was at this restaurant tonight, I’ve ordered from here a few times through uber eats and decided to stop by in person. They have signs advertising happy hour every day from 3pm-6pm. My fiancee and I both ordered drinks within this timeframe. When the bill came, unfortunately after paying, I realized I was overcharged for these drinks. When brought to the attention of staff, the server agreed I was overcharged but said there was nothing they could do about it. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and am waiting to hear back. Meanwhile, I tried contacting the restaurant to speak to the manager and was told by Claudia that the manager not only does not have set working hours, but that she was not allowed to “disclose personal information” such as his name. I will not be coming back here and I would advise everyone to check their bills before paying them. Terrible service.
