As a New Yorker, I take my pizza seriously and I’m here to say this place is A1. I grabbed two plain slices and they were so good I immediately went back for two more. The vibe is super chill, the music sets the perfect mood, and the whole spot has a calm, welcoming feel. I stopped in on a whim lol and I’m so glad I did, because finding truly good pizza in Jersey is no easy task. This place nailed it.

We had a fantastic experience at La Famiglia Ristorante, Pizzeria & Catering in Maplewood! The food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Our waiter, Stacy, was absolutely awesome—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and even better service!

Ordered this on a whim because I was craving “Sunday Dinner” but my knee unfortunately gave out again. Had a craving for Chicken Marsala and saw the 30% deal they had on Uber Eats. Glad I did because WOW! Not only are these meals delicious, they are filling to the point I’m having a hard time finishing it! I ordered the chicken parm and chicken Marsala dinners and each one came with three chicken breasts a piece! I was able to finish maybe a piece from each one before I had to tap out. Definitely will be ordering here again!!!

La Famiglia Ristorante, Pizzeria & Catering in Maplewood, NJ has a huge extensive menu and everything we tried was delish! The chef here takes pride that everything is homemade including the hot honey! Homemade hot honey is 10/10! The vodka sauce so creamy and yummy-it’s the first time I had drunken vodka fries and it’s a perfect combo. It’s also BYOB which is my fav! 🌀DRUNKN GRANDMA PAN PIZZA WITH RONI CUPS- Vodka Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Basil and Roni Shaped Famous Cups with a side of homemade Hot Honey!! 🌀DRUNKN VODKA FRIES-French Fries topped with Vodka Sauce and Fresh Mozzarella. 🌀CACIO E PEPE-Linguine pasta, in a creamy pecorino romano cheese sauce, topped with freshly grounded black pepper. 🌀GNOCCHI TOPPED WITH FRESH MOZZERELLA AND VODKA SAUCE WITH THE CHOICE OF CHICKEN OR SHRIMP 🌀HOMEMADE CARAMEL BROWNIE SERVED WITH 2 SCOOPS OF NASTOS VANILLA ICE CREAM

Great restaurant! From the yummy bread to the delicious food and great service. They also have great Christmas decorations and festive music! I recommend the chicken giambotta and the black truffle burrata salad

My husband took me here to celebrate for our 5 year anniversary. We are just a couple towns over and it was our first time. Everyone who works there is super friendly, super attentive and very time efficient. Our lovely waitress Ariana made the experience even better. She was so sweet, very caring and always made sure we were taken care of. I also thought it was very nice of the owner Nick to come out and introduce himself! The food is amazing the pictures just do not do justice. Great size portions, great ambiance, great atmosphere and catering. Would definitely recommend to friends and family who are looking to celebrate/get together/ private dinner.

We were greeted kindly as we walked into the restaurant. The atmosphere was warm as a cozy, yet elegant. Stacie was an awesome server and Nick came over to check on us very often. Stacie was familiar with the menu and offered tasteful items; it was hard to choose from the menu items. We ordered linguine with shrimp and broccoli rabe and the stuffed salmon which came with garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. While we waited, we were served with warm homemade bread. The portion sizes were perfect with each being enough for two people. And, the prices were very reasonable. We will be back again and again.

This is probably the most mid pizza I’ve ever had. Not too long ago, I ordered, La Famiglia Ristorante, Pizzeria & Catering Maplewood, for lunch. I had got their Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, & Buffalo Chicken slices. The pep slice was fairly decent and greatly impacts my total score. The Italian Sausage slice was inedible, and the Buffalo Chicken slice was ok at best. But the Pepperoni Slice boosts the total score, greatly. I could not highly recommend this place, but if you’re in the area and looking for some ok pizza, feel free to check this place out! The people who serviced my order was so nice and made sure my order was correct!

Ordered a pizza for Valentine’s Day and waited an hour to get one an Theo pizza is overcooked and some burnt edges. In addition I asked for half chicken and half roni where it’s mostly roni cups.

Terrible, Terrible location. Parking in the back. Not plowed great. Family and I almost died coming out the steep hill parking entrance. Back to the food. I ordered the chicken vodka sauce. I think they drank all the vodka sauce because the platter was horrible. Doesn't feel like authentic Italian food at all. Wings was great. Bbq wings!! I also ordered the ziti platter. Wasn't even cooked. Horrible. I don't know if the owner knows but he really need to step up the Maplewood location. Inside dinning closed. I ordered online.

The food quality was disappointing. I ordered the shrimp pasta, which was served with only five shrimp, far below reasonable expectations. The service was unacceptable. We waited approximately 45 minutes without any explanation, while customers who arrived after us were served first. Even after raising the issue, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The only positive aspect of the service was the waitress, who was courteous and attentive once she became aware of the situation. After we spoke with her, the food arrived within 10 minutes. The atmosphere was mediocre at best—overcrowded seating combined with loud contemporary classical music made the dining experience uncomfortable. Overall, the experience was extremely poor, and the restaurant clearly needs significant improvement in both service management and food quality.

It’s so hard to find a good pizza these days. Seems like there’s so many shops but they all taste the same. I decided to try this one I saw on Door Dash. It wasn’t in my area but it’s not far away. So why not ? I was very surprised. It has a familiar taste from childhood. And that’s going back a long way. Their crust is not thick but not too thin either. The sauce is tart yet sweet. The cheese, and I ordered extra, was completely melted. The pie was not burnt. They managed to make my day. We enjoyed. ** Since this first review, we ordered several times. Things have not been right. 9/21/25, Today, I ordered a pie with extra cheese and half sausage. The sausage was pretty much thrown on haphazardly. I’m a vegetarian and so I do not eat sausage nor do I pull it off and eat the rest. Uber eats gave me a refund. I basically had 2 slices that I could eat. Not only was this beyond frustrating, our dessert too was wrong. I ordered a tiramisu and raspberry crumb cake. They didn’t have the raspberry cake and gave me tres leches which I feel is disgusting. It’s a sloppy cake. They wrote sorry on the container. This is unacceptable and I took the rating down from 5 stars to 2 . Please pay attention to what you’re doing and contact the customer if there’s a missing item. Don’t substitute. How do you know what I can eat ?? Really disappointed …. 📍I just read the restaurants reply to me. I was not contacted at all. They claim they contacted 3 times. That’s a lie. Where is the voice message ? There is non because it didn’t happen. They should not have substituted. They also claim the reviews should be be fair. This is fair. This my review. This is my experience. They have no right to tell me how I should review just because it’s not in their favor. They were sloppy with the sausage. They were WRONG in substituting the cake. Take responsibility. Another star lost for this ridiculous reply. Don’t worry - I won’t be ordering any longer. If the zero star option was available I’d give them that. I obviously can not recommend this restaurant…. I don’t deal with liars.

I ordered a grandpa vodka pizza and receives a pie that was loaded with over a pound of greasy pork pepperoni. The pictures on the app were distinct for each item, so I don't know how this happened. As someone who hasn't eaten meat in over 13 years, it was disappointing to have to pick off all the pepperoni and taste pork as I was eating my $25 pizza. The cannoli i ordered also came soggy yet somehow broken and shattered? The cannoli cream inside was awful too, waaaay too sweet and loose. Pizza crust was good, but im SO disappointed that my order was contaminated.
