I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The fish was absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The presentation of the dish was beautiful. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful location right on the river. We went on a lovely sunny day so made the views all that more amazing. I had padron peppers to start (shared), a chicken Caesar salad for main which was delicious and very generous portion & the chocolate brownie for desert which was absolutely lovely. I wasn't drinking but the other people I was with had the lady narrow cocktail as recommended by the waiter and said they were absolutely delicious as well. The staff were very attentive and welcoming and overall was a lovely lunch that I highly recommend and will be back again. The only negative I have is that quite a few bits on the menu weren't available which happened to be the things I wanted so originally wanted the olives to start but didn't have any or the spiced nuts, no Coke zero (was on the menu) & no sticky toffee pudding so that was a bit disappointing but everything we did have was lovely
We loved this lunch on our last day London before traveling to Lisbon. Good atmosphere. Music a little loud but it's good because I'm traveling with my daughter. It gives us a chance to play a game before the food arrived. Taste is amazing. Super cozy and beautiful view on the river. Highly recommend.
What a lovely way to spend an evening in London! The riverside views and a warm environment are just the beginning. The bar offers a creative variety of cocktails & spirits. And the non alcoholic drinks are a healthy alternative treat. For dinner, I enjoyed a delicious Caesar Salad with very fresh lettuce & the most wonderful marinated anchovies. The Butter Chicken is tender and flavorful. And the Sticky Toffee Pudding is rich and comforting. Highly recommend!
Always a pleasure to dine at our local Bread street restaurant. The food is top quality, love their steaks and roasted cod. There is a wide variety of fancy drinks at the bar. The staff is very welcoming and professional, special thanks to Alison and Chiara for the best service. I can highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back soon.
Found Bread Street Kitchen & Bar (Limehouse) through a YouTube video and had to try the Beef Wellington. It was rich, filling, and worth every penny. We shared the meatballs (moist and flavorful), a fresh side salad with pomegranate seeds, and the Wellington for two. Service was great. Just note it takes about 45–50 minutes to prepare—but totally worth the wait.
Great food. Very well priced. Quite slow for a Monday night. The place was empty but the staff were great. The bread was phenomenal. It’s hard to explain but the bread was so fresh and warm the butter just melted. The Wellington was priced at £115 for two people. IMO that’s pretty wild but I guess that the Gordon Ramsay tax. The ribs and steak were so tender. 10/10. The sides were very very good. The tiramisu was fantastic. No complaints about the place.
Our experience was great. We relaxed in the welcoming bar on arrival then shown through to the restaurant. We had a choice of seating & chose to sit in a comfortable booth. The menu is quite varied & we chose the Pork Ribs & Cod with sides, bread & a bottle of red. The service in the bar & restaurant was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable cost given the quality & service & wish it was our local.
We chose the *Beef Wellington Experience* and it was an excellent experience in every respect. Each course was delicious, carefully prepared down to the smallest detail, and cooked to perfection. The portions proved to be surprisingly generous for two people. The staff were extremely professional and also very willing to explain the dishes and share the history of the restaurant. The charming location, with a stunning view of the Thames, made our trip to London truly unforgettable.
We attended Bread Street on Boxing Day 2025 as a large group for a special occasion. Prior to the event, one of the managers, allowed me to make the experience extremely personal and conducted professionalism throughout, making seating adjustments and restaurant adjustments so that our experience was perfect. On the day of the event, every detail was carried out to perfection, the managers had clearly communicated the details of the plan perfectly. To the food now… every one of our 21 guests all agreed that the food was incredibly tasty, cooked with integrity and timely served. The service from start to finish was second to none! Not to mention the choice of food of the menu ranged between fish and chips, to burgers and steaks, as well as very child-friendly options. Extreme compliments to the chefs!! The views of Canary Wharf were beautiful too! We could not have asked for a better time on this day and I would like to thank all of the staff from the restaurant that allowed for this occasion, she said yes too! We will definitely be returning and I will be recommending this to clients, friends and family.
My daughter and I ate here as a gift experience for the set menu and from start to finish we had a really enjoyable evening. On arrival we were given a choice of seats and sat with views of the river. The service was really good and in no time we had ordered our drinks and meal. The food was amazing and full of flavour. The batter was crispy, the tartare sauce incredible, the soup has made me want to try and make it, the chips were perfectly seasoned, the steak melted in the mouth and the pistachio ice cream was to die for. The staff here went above and beyond to help make my daughter's birthday special as well as give us special memories. We will definitely be returning when we can.
Oh wow- front of house staf, Grace, was absolutely fantastic. As was Mani- best spicy margaritas! Squid was delicious. A fantastic eve. The table clearance was quite noisy at the end, when we were ending, yet altogether a fab eve of food and ambience. Gordon- you would be proud of these amazing staff ☺️
My Husband and I booked a table for New years Day. Luke greeted us on arrival and walked us back to our car upon departure (locked private car park). Mehek was the perfect at front of house. So friendly, polite, helpful and willing to engage in general conversation. Unbeknown to me ,My husband had bought me a surprise ring and hidden it inside a cracker. He had spoken with Mehek about the surprise and asked her to support the surprise by making something up when she brought it to the table at the end of the meal. LOL. In his words, she played an absolute blinder as i fell for it hook , line and sinker. The Kitchen team also sent us a congratulations dish out as a further surprise. This was following the best fish and chips we have ever had. We'll certainly be visiting again and hoping that Luke and Mehek are still there enhancing the first class experience. Great job guys Emma and Dean
Ellyes was a great server. Wonderful experience with great recommendations and insight into the fare. Beautiful seating space with a gorgeous view into the Thames
Anniversary Lunch ( 25 years). We were given a voucher for a 3 course meal for 2. So we used it to celebrate our sliver wedding anniversary. Food & service was amazing. Absolutely wonderful view of the themes.
What a fantastic experience. My family have been a good few times now and Anna gave us the warmest welcome. It was like visiting family for lunch. The food was stunning, as you might expect, and Anna gave us lots of recommendations which were all sincere and welcome. I had the cauliflower to start and the incredible ribs for main. I was full for the rest of the day. I do have one criticism, which unfortunately isn't unique to this restaurant. Why are good quality restaurants like Gordon Ramsay's still selling bland macro beers when London is full of incredible independent craft breweries making better lagers, IPAs and stouts which would pair properly with the food. I'd expect more from a Ramsay restaurant where I'm sure effort has been put into the wine selection, but beer seems to be chosen purely on margin alone. Please support local breweries and enhance your menu with a whole new aspect of dining which currently feels overlooked. If it wasn't for Anna just being the most incredible member of restaurant staff I've experienced in years, I'd definitely have knocked off a star for the beer selection. She's a credit to the business.
Very delicious food, beautiful view, large space between the separate tables. Excellent waiter Chris: warm , kind and thoughtful
Chic Gordon Ramsay place sitting right on the Thames. We had the veggie smash burgers with Koffmann fries - and sticky toffee pudding to finish. It was the perfect day to sit somewhere nice and have some well-prepared food. All very clean, elegant and tastefully done - we enjoyed ourselves enormously.
I went with a friend and we decided to go as we were in the area for the weekend. We were very impressed. The location has a stunning view and was easy to find. I had the fries cauliflower, pokebowl and sticky toffee pudding. My friend had the wings, fish & chips followed by the brownie. All of the food was cooked very well and very delicious. We had beer and mocktails also. The staff were kind and very attentive, but we didn't feel rushed to leave. Overall a great experience and would revisit happily.
Thank you, beautiful restaurant, nice food, amazing dessert, lovely view and warm service.
This is a very pretty place, glorious view and delicious food. It is also dog friendly so our dog could dine in style! Wilam was our amazing waiter and made our dog very happy too!
Thank you for such a delightful culinary and celebratory experience! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! You know that feeling when a mouthful of delicious food is so tasty the you squeeze your toes in your shoes?? Well I had that feeling and I couldn’t stop smiling! The perfect birthday meal for me AND I got my off-menu Cosmopolitan, made the RIGHT way ( with Cointreau and NOT Triple Sec haha!!) And the service? With the professional and conversational Ellyes, I was in great hands. He informatively answered all my questions, had great timing on when to attend the table, bring out the next course and when to give breathing room to enjoy the ambience. He was attentive, kind and efficient. Thank you Ellyes for such great service. Clearly an asset to the restaurant! Overall, I left a very happy bunny indeed and I’ll definitely be back another time. Oh and a nod to the location…. quite mesmerising to be so near to the water and those amazing views across the River Thames. Well done everyone!
Our dinner was incredible! We had the best waiter named Yeasin. After a very long day of sightseeing he attended to everything we wanted and more! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and he made the entire night special. He took the best pictures by using the table lights to give my tired face a healthy glow, it was so sweet. He recommended the incredible beef wellington experience that left us very satisfied. I wanted to try the fish and chips and he was even able to add that as an appetizer for us. Yeasin was friendly, and his excellent and quick service made the food even better. He gave us tips on which items to eat first so that we would have the best tasting experience and it was all delicious! We would not have expected anything less than excellent for food but it was the service of Yeasin and the rest of the staff and chefs that really made it an extremely memorable night.
Wonderful environment! Delicious food. Highly recommend the chicken and leek pie.
Bread Street Kitchen is by far the best restaurant I've been to! The staff were very nice, clean bathrooms and the food is such a delight to have. Desserts were scrumptious and one of a kind! I would highly recommend Bread Street Kitchen or any other Gordon Ramsay restaurant!
Our server, Luke was absolutely wonderful. He was very attentive and took care of everything we asked for. I fully enjoyed every aspect of the dining experience. The sticky toffee pudding was particularly delicious.
An excellent lunch to celebrate a 96th birthday! Hats off to our waitress Grace who made us feel so welcome and was very helpful and efficient. This is the third time we've come here for the birthday lunch. The venue was originally chosen for the geographical location, but the food and welcome will keep us coming back. Many thanks
Excellent setting in in old historic Limehouse area of London, along the banks of the River Thames. Great views across the river from outside area as well as the indoor dining conservatory. The service here was excellent, efficient and friendly. The food was just as good as the service, we had the Sunday roast (beef) which was beautifully cooked, with super tasty roasts and a veg of mixed carrots and parsnips (I think 🤔) Nice big light Yorkshire Pudding not too heavy set, with good tasty gravy. Dessert was a very tasty chocolate brownie, warm served with ice-cream. We relaxed in the big comfy chairs after our meal in the main pub area which served a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Certainly recommend for food and will definitely return. Price wise it is on the more pricey side but we certainly got our monies worth serviice wide and taste buds wise 10/10
Went on the weekend. Very nice flavours of food. Efficient staff. Very helpful with topping up water , bringing drinks to the table. This might be their job but it was all done very professionally and without any trouble to them. Made the night very easy going.
The service was absolutely great! We discovered the restaurant on our walk and wanted to come back an hour later for dinner. Patrick was so welcoming and nice, he personally made sure we had good seat. The entire staff were also very attentive and friendly. The appetizers were awesome. The tuna tartare was so delicious and the Caesar salad was executed well. But unfortunately the main dishes weren’t as good as the appetizers. We were a bit disappointed as they lack flavor and were a bit simple for pricing. But we would love to go back to try more appetizers and for the excellent service.
Came here for a quick lunch and since I wanted to try some traditional British food, I went with scotch egg and a steak pie. I wasn’t impressed by the egg (though maybe it was more about my choice). The steak pie was really nice though. The service could be little more attentive, I would probably order one or two more beers if they noticed I was finished. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. It was a nice and quiet atmosphere.
Second time at a Bread Street Kitchen. St Paul's was the first place I visited. Food was great and our server, Ellyes was super friendly. The place is in a fantastic location right on the river but it didn't quite have the wow factor that I was expecting. I'm looking forward to visiting Gordon's other locations to see how they compare.
Food: not being a fan of fish and chips, I thought a Gordon Ramsey’s version should be outstanding but I was wrong. The same plain taste as in any other place. The Caesar’s salad was ok, I’ve had better as well. Service: very good, super nice host and waiters. No issues with my order, food was delivered fast and efficiently. The staff does a good job. Ambience: nice place, quiet on a Sunday at 6 pm.
We were here for the wellington and it definitely delivered. Sides were a must while waiting. However the let down was the cocktail in my opinion to sweet and slightly unbalanced but I cannot say if their classics are good as I haven't tried them so maybe ask for that instead as the bartenders looked inexperienced it was just a miss from me. As for service and atmosphere they were gorgeous our view was perfect 👌
Beautiful location. Restaurant ambience was great, and the background music was not intrusive. Staff were helpful and friendly and speed of service was good (not too fast not too slow). Food was well cooked and tasty. For the rather inflated prices I would have expected a more ambitious menu . Very few vegetables on offer and quite limited options for my Gluten intolerant wife. That said, I would visit again.
Went for lunch, had vegan burger and poke bowl...no complaints for the burger at all...poke bowl was flavourful but just seemed could have been bigger for the price, throwing some extra veg like carrots or something wouldnt hurt, halloumi wasnt great either was sort of dry instead of light and fluffy. Service was great when it was there, had to ask a couple of times for dessert menu. Staff were very polite and super friendly, enjoyed them, just wish they were around more.
Beautiful view by the water. Well appointed. Good service. Bland food for prices. When there are so many choices within walking distance. Certainly didn’t stand out as a ‘gourmet’ experience considering the name it bears.
I always watched Gordon Ramsey's shows so I wanted to see and taste his food, and have to say it was a good choice for Sunday lunch. Can't say brilliant but really good. And loved the view too.
The service of the waitstaff was terrific! They were well trained and happy to please and oblige in taking our pictures. They didn't hurry us to leave even if we were the last persons in the dining room. We love the river view and the experience. I especially love the grapefruit martini. I wasn't thrilled about one of the appetizers. We were surprised though that they did not give free bread considering that this is a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and so, not a cheap one. (And by the way, the paid bread wasn't spectacular, lol!) But overall, this was a great experience (November 2021), and did not disappoint!
Stunning location on the river and close to Limehouse DLR. Food was OK but nothing special. Service was attentive, although on a baking hot day they might have suggested opening the window near our table, we figured it out.
We ordered for delivery and everything came pretty fast (within 15 minutes). The fish and chips were still hot; was well seasoned but not mind blowing. The sticky toffee was also warm and pretty good. My biggest complaint - WHY WAS THE MAC &CHEESE COLD?! I’ve only seen it cold as a left over and not a fresh dish. It was in the same bag as the sticky toffee, which kept warm, so clearly it didn’t cool down rapidly because of the delivery. If that’s the restaurant preferred serve option, I wish there was an option for customers to choose whether they want it hot or cold.
We have visited this venue several times in the past years, as we live nearby and enjoy exploring local dining options. Unfortunately, as on previous occasions, the experience did not meet expectations. We initially planned to try the Sunday lunch offering, but were informed that food could not be served on the terrace, only indoors. Disappointed, we went to our usual lunch spot instead and returned later for drinks and dessert, as I was considering bringing visiting friends from Australia here the following week as part of a riverside walk. We ordered two drinks and two desserts. While the drinks were satisfactory, the desserts were overly sweet, looked unimpressive, not unlike the menu, and were significantly overpriced at £9 and £10 each, plus service. The desserts resembled something one might expect at a local East End pub—certainly not the level of quality I anticipated from a Gordon Ramsay establishment. Service, which has consistently been underwhelming over the years, was again disappointing. Staff appeared disengaged, unfriendly, and unaccommodating. Upon seating ourselves outside, no one approached to greet us or provide menus, so I had to go inside to request them myself. The waiter then appeared to take our order without asking whether we were ready or offering any guidance or recommendations, missing a basic opportunity for hospitality. Despite it being late lunchtime on a Sunday, the venue was surprisingly quiet, with only a few occupied tables both inside and outside. In hindsight, I regretted not choosing a different location for dessert. In spite of all this, did end up bringing my friends for a drink the following week, hoping for a better experience. However, the service remained equally inattentive and unwelcoming, and we left after just one round of drinks. There is an undeniable sense that something is lacking here, from both the service culture and overall atmosphere. It's disappointing, particularly given the restaurant's potential and prime riverside location. Its a pity. I am not planning on being back anytime soon...
Food average had roasted cod lacking in flavor in my opinion could have done with the basics salt and pepper potatoes no flavor until you hit the onion.starters tamarind wings were good as was the sundae both flavour some
Unwelcoming atmosphere. Were planning on having a few drinks and some starters. Told by the host to only go in the conservatory area. Felt like a hospital waiting room. No menus on table, not one member or staff came to take an order. Had one drink which we had to order at the bar ourselves then left. Extremely disappointing.
A lovely place to have a meal. The starters were lovely, however ours £115 beef wellington was overcooked and brown throughout. I tried to raise this with the manager Luke, but essentially he told me I was wrong and walked away whilst I was talking. I stressed I was happy to pay full price, but was disappointed, and he told me I was wrong for thinking that. Ultimately, very disappointing. I will say the waitress, Mehek, was lovely and helpful throughout. Probably wouldn’t recommend to anyone of the back of the experience
Very disappointed for choosing this venue for our team Christmas dinner. The booking was made 2 months in advance only to be changed by the venue 2 weeks before the event to accommodate another group booking whose time overlapped with ours. The vibe for a Friday night was oddly quiet and there was not festive arrangements at all. The food was below average compared to other restaurants within the same price range. We chose to do a la carte in order to give our team the best experience, ended up paying more for less. No apology offered for messing up the booking, or discount/complementary to make it up. I have visited twice when it was The Narrow pub and I can confidently say that the service has gone downhill.
for a fairly expensive restaurant in the area, the food is very very very bland, service does not make up for the price as well. the first time in my life seeing a 25£ worth sunday roast beef with no maillard on the outside. food so bad i couldn’t even finish the plate really shouldn’t have come
The one star (my first ever, I believe) is due to the horrible service we experienced. It took 30 minutes to receive our drinks, and we had ordered simple drinks from the menu. Our second round took an additional 30 minutes. We waited over 40 minutes for our food to come out. Yes, this is a chain, but Gordon Ramsay chose to put his name on this restaurant. The food was not up to par. It was good pub food at best. (After a prolonged wait, it was barely enjoyable). After an extremely long dinner service, we didn’t even care to browse the dessert menu. We tried the fish and chips. The mashed peas were the highlight. The fish was fried in a hard, concrete-like tempura casing. It hurt my mouth trying to chew. The Cannelloni was ok, but good for pub food, neither delicious nor flavorful. The drinks were good, but late, as noted. I would try this place for lunch just to say you’ve eaten at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, but he should honestly just take his name off this chain. The views were nice at this location. Definitely come for drinks if you have the time.
Shocking service. We booked for 8pm, ordered by 8:15, and didn’t get our food until 9:35 — in a restaurant with only a few tables occupied. Two groups who came in 20-30 mins after us got their full three courses before we even saw a starter. Every time we asked, we were met with “the chef is plating.” Magically, the food appeared the moment we said we were leaving and didn’t want to wait anymore. £100 for a steak, burger, and fries with a 90-minute wait? Absolute joke.
There is a nice view in this restaurant — and that’s basically it. The service is truly awful. We’ve been here several times only because of the view and the fact that it’s close to our home. This last visit completely ruined any desire to come back. We came on Tuesday, 30.12.25. The restaurant was almost empty — only two couples inside. There was one waiter on shift. We politely asked to sit at a table with a view. He replied that those tables were “for dining only.” We explained that the restaurant was empty and asked if we could have tea and dessert and sit there anyway — there was literally nobody around. His response was surprisingly rude. He slowly looked at us and said, very deliberately: “This place is for DI-NING.” When we tried to respond, he repeated it louder: “DINING. DINING!” There was: - no attempt to explain - no offer to show the menu - no suggestion of light dishes or desserts It genuinely felt like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. I mentioned that he could at least show us the menu or suggest something small if full dining was required. Only after I asked for his name — because I was clearly unhappy with the service — did his tone suddenly change. He became nervous and said, “Ok, ok, I can show you the menu,” but then avoided answering when I asked for his name again and walked away. This behaviour was unprofessional and disappointing, especially for a restaurant carrying Gordon Ramsay’s name. Considering how often Gordon Ramsay publicly speaks about the importance of good service, this experience felt particularly ironic. This level of service is a shame. As for the food — it is very average and extremely heavy in most of cases. If there were even a few balanced, non–deep-fried options, I would happily become a regular customer. But right now: - Food is average and far too heavy - Service is poor - The only redeeming feature is the view Very disappointing experience overall.
