Cilicia Restaurant

What an amazing find. I had a superb lunch at Cilicia last Saturday. The food simply delicious and plenty of it and atmosphere great. Staff so helpful and obliging. I really do recommend this restaurant to anybody and very fairly priced. A very happy experience!

I have been coming to this fabulous place for many years. My family and I always love the food and service! I usually go for the cilician breakfast, which is a great combination of classic English breakfast items like hash brown, and Mediterranean additions like the spicy garlic sausage. Can't recommend enough!

The sun was out, had a nice day out at Alexandra Palace and suddenly we were hungry. Went past a few restaurants and saw the menu for this restaurant. We hoped it was as good as it sounded and it was better!!! Great flavours, great presentation, never rushed, service was so polite and helpful. Really impressed by everything. Will definitely return.

Lovely fine Turkish restaurant. Tasty food, excellent vibes and brilliant service. Our waitress Ahoo was lovely, knowledgeable and kind. She made our evening .. our whole group enjoyed her kind and respectful manner. She certainly add a positive vibes to the atmosphere

Cilicia is a relatively local restaurant and we've visited many times with friends. The food has never disappointed and I'm happy to say that this was the case with our latest visit. A good way to start any meal here is with a meze platter and we certainly enjoyed our spread of houmous, warm bread, olives and other delicacies. For the main course most people went with skewers but I felt like trying the seafood platter which included tuna, crab claws, king prawns and swordfish. At first sight I thought that the spread was a little light but actually the serving was spot on as I only just consumed everything. In terms of service and atmosphere Cilicia always scores well as the staff are attentive despite the restaurant usually being busy and buzzy. For a good evening out with friends I'm happy to recommend Cilicia to anyone in the area.

Splendid dinner. We went with my family and some guests for dinner, half of them not speaking English. Staff was very patient while we choose, and were very nice recommending options.

Our go to option on the Broadway when we want a great grill with and Efes or 3. Margherita cocktails are well made and priced too. My favourites meals are the mixed grill, lamb cubes and hot platter. Food is always well prepared and accompanied by friendly welcoming service. Will keep coming back even if it's for an Efes on the way home

Staying locally, I fancied some Turkish style food having been to Istanbul recently and also being a vegetarian I know they do a great selection. I was not disappointed! Very nice flavours and presentation. I had a mixed mezze. Staff great and it was so chill inside.

We love this place. We go there so often for lunch with our toddler. The food is amazing and the owners are so friendly. Highly recommend the Lamb Kofta with Rice and Green Salad and the Moussaka is do die for🤗🤗

This is a long overdue review but we had to say a VERY big THANK YOU to the team especially Amy who was on top form on the day ensuring our 50 guests enjoyed themselves and our wedding dinner plans ran on schedule. It’s been two months since our wedding back in August and our guest talk about how lovely the food and atmosphere was at Cilicia. It was their first wedding event but they were absolutely pros. We enjoyed every moment and forever have fond memories about our day. If you ever have a small event and you want your guests to have lovely food and a lovely atmosphere with such amazing friendly people from the chef to everyone who is in that team. I highly recommend you try them. They were very flexible and accommodating as well to all the dietary requirements of our guests. Thank you Amy and everyone who made our day special.

We had a great lunch here today. The menu options at lunchtime were huge … breakfast, brunch & “set lunch”. We opted for the latter which at £16.95 for 2 courses was really good value for money. I had the Trojan Horse chicken as a main & it was absolutely delicious as was my lentil soup starter. My friend had chicken shish (they call it cubes) and the feta & spinach parcels. He loved them too. Service was flawless & the team were really friendly. We will definitely go back!

Had a really really lovely dinner here at the weekend! Sea bass cooked beautifully, service was great and a special shout out to Julia who was amazing with some special requests :) and her eye for detail. Didn’t get the name of the other lovely lady unfortunately, she was just as helpful, and they both accommodated a lot for me too! would 110% definitely recommend - got busy towards the evening too which added to the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you so much again, we will be returning! :)

Another lovely meal at Cilicia today. The food is always fresh and delicious. I had the lamb cubes after sharing an amazing cold meze including tzatziki, taboulah and hummus and plenty of fresh bread. Thanks to Kamal and his staff for being so hospitable and welcoming!!

It doesn't matter what time of day you come here you will always find the most friendly welcome and a menu to suit all tastes . From the tastiest breakfast to their amazing seafood menu it truly is a fantastic experience. Great wine and cocktails just add to a wonderful experience. It's a place I always take visiting friends to and they are always eager to go back . Great for families, a cosy dinner for 2, or simply a coffee in the sun!

Came here with my boyfriend last week. We live quite locally so decided to try somewhere different for dinner. We were welcomed in and offered a seat by the open front as it was a beautiful day. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The only small suggestion I would make is that the restaurant ask customers dining on the pavement outside the front to refrain from smoking while the front is open. Other than that I would recommend and will be returning.

I'm editing this review based on the last two visits. The website is misleading as it states the brunch menu ends at 5pm, but after we arrived at 4pm we were told this is not correct and given the much more expensive a la carte menu. It's a shame because in our opinion the brunch menu is far superior and also MUCH better value for money.

Friday early evening and not too busy. We were fortunate enough to still be able to order from their set menu, really good offer. We opted for two starters, thr felafel, and spiced salami. For the we ordered one of the Trojan chicken as well as the Trojan lamb. This was a delicious dish with lamb cubes, herbs with diced shallots, wrapped and grilled in an aubergine slices, served with on a bed of aubergine and tomao sauce, served with rice. Staff was friendly and polite and accommodating towards our dietary requirements. Clean toilets, step free access too. Would definitely recommend and return.

Nice Mediterranean restaurant with great food. I tried some different stuff and was pleasant surprised with the food. Beautifully decorated and has a nice vibe to it.

We were the only people in at the time I think it would have more atmosphere if it was busier. The service was good for that reason! The food was lovely, I had a small breakfast which was more than enough and cooked well.

Strange full English breakfast doesn't come with toast or fried bread! Only some strange pita bread not part of an English breakfast

We came here craving a proper chocolate soufflé as Sunday treat! Dessert wasn’t that much good, but the rest was awful.. The coffee (a so-called Cortado) came in a giant milkshake glass, mostly milk. When I asked, they said “that’s how we do it here.” The “soufflé” was hard and cold, but the worst part — they started cleaning with bleach everywhere while we were still eating! The smell was unbearable and caused headache! Honestly, if you care about good coffee, dessert and basic restaurant etiquette, avoid this place.

Came yesterday 15/06. Not a friendly service, felt like a fast food highway restaurant. Sassy waitress. The blond/ blue eye girl kept looking at me with her colleagues and then laugh. Very strange behaviour. Won’t come back for the food and even less now cause of their behaviour

If your Muslim I would refrain from visiting here they aren’t fully halal nor do they have the expertise to cater to Muslims. I was served a desert with alcohol which was not a good experience, when I pointed it out I was met with the most insincere reaction and a statement that followed which shocked me “ oh I’m sorry I’m Kurdish and Turkish so I know about the culture” which further confuses me as I was wasting a headscarf so why would you fail to mention a dessert containing alcohol. Overall not a good an experience and very disappointing.
