We cannot recommend La Cucina Di Daffy 2 highly enough! What a lovely warm welcome we had from Daffy. She is the most amazing host, and makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. The food itself was incredible - it is literally the best italian food we have had since we visitied Italy!! The carbonara was amazing and the salads were great too. We bought pasta and biscuits from the shop as well. Very reasonably priced! Book a table now - you wont regret it.
A Very Daffy Christmas at La Cucina Di Daffy Deck the halls and loosen the belts—La Cucina Di Daffy served up a Christmas feast that’s worth singing carols about. Great service, even better food, and a holiday vibe that could melt the Grinch’s heart. The Menu Highlights: Antipasti: The soufflé di zucca was smooth, rich, and totally festive—like eating autumn in December. The bresaola with rocket and parmesan was a classic win, but the whitebait and gambas fritto misto? Absolute crispy gold. Primi: The tonnarelli with pecorino and truffle had everyone leaning into their plates for those earthy, creamy vibes. For the mains, the lamb rack was perfectly pink, the potato purée was cloud-level creamy, and the branzino with salad was light but luxurious. Dolci: Dessert was a total showstopper. The pandoro tiramisu redefined festive decadence, and the orange sorbet brought a zesty, refreshing finish to the meal. As for the panna cotta, it wobbled its way straight into our hearts with its berry-topped perfection. At €65 for three courses, La Cucina Di Daffy made Christmas feel extra merry. If you’re looking for a holiday meal that’ll keep you talking well into the New Year, this is the place!
I was so happy when La Cucina di Daffy 2 opened. 10 Theobalds Rd, London WC1X 8PN I decided to become a regular customer. All the food here is amazing with all the pastas, snacks and drinks always so fresh and tried! I want to give a special mention to Donika and the store manager (name unknown) who are so friendly and now know my regular order. Pleasant service with a smile, especially from all the staff.. I definitely recommend visiting here!!!
Donik and the team treated us with the most wonderful hospitality and he makes a mean dirty martini. Donik is well knowledged with his wine recommendations and took the time to understand us and suggest the best things on the menu to suit our taste - everything was delicious! A whole evening flew by and we were well looked after and fed. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will be back again for summer service in the Farringdon sun 🌞
We stumbled across La Cucina Di Daffy while walking back to our Airbnb and craving some Italian. The service was some of the best we’ve had in years, the owner and her family were super lovely and made us feel very welcome with great conversation. We shared pasta and two sides, all were delicious. Would absolutely recommend for great service, food and vibe! Thank you for a great dinner experience.
I love this restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and the ambiance is perfect. Great for a dinner date, business lunch or just popping in for a high quality coffee. The food is fresh, perfectly executed with a nod to the classics as well as specials board always creates tough decisions. Wish I could give it 10 stars!
Perfect cozy nook of a restaurant with fantastic food. We brought our kids, ages 14 and 10, and they loved everything, especially the tiramisu. I had the Donny's Special pasta, with a light cream sauce and seafood, and it was completely delicious. They also have a small selection of Italian specialty items - the chocolate Pane Di Stella cookies are perfect with a cup of coffee. We tried about 4 Italian places in the neighbourhood and this was the favourite.
I went to the “La Cucina di Daffy 2”’ only to buy a take way coffee. from the day one basically I got the everyday, it’s my favourite place. The restaurant its amazing, the family staff is wonderful, they always when I go there they are very friendly and welcoming, my daughter love when I bring her for diner, the food is excellent. I feel it’s like family to be honey. I highlight recommend.
Very charming restaurant with delicious food. I had such a wonderful time here. Staff were all so friendly and nice. The banoffee pie was just perfect. Overall a great place for italian food. Would love to go back again sometime.
Such a great find - beautiful, authentic Italian food matched with excellent, friendly service in a cosy space which just adds to the atmosphere. I wasn’t overly hungry so the bruschetta and arancini were perfectly sized and delicious, but will be back to try more dishes ASAP. Highly recommend, seems the locals are onto a good thing!
I booked a table for a work lunch, and enjoyed it so much I had to come back! The food was absolutely delicious. I very rarely find restaurants where I look at the dishes of my dining companions and feel that I would have enjoyed all of them, but every dish I’ve seen served here looks absolutely incredible. The carbonara was delicious, and the tiramisu was divine! Service here is fabulous, and the team are clearly very passionate and love the restaurant and what they do, which is so refreshing. The restaurant itself may be easy to miss from the outside if you’re not looking for it, but it’s definitely a hidden gem, with a cosy, intimate atmosphere and endearing decor. I will absolutely be coming back in future and bringing loved ones!
One of the best Italian restaurants in London own by the family! The service was very authentic and very friendly which makes you feel like you are eating at a grandma house in Italy! The food was very tasty and the wine was delicious! I recommend this place and will surely go back there!
My experience at the restaurant was great. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. I’m grateful for having had this gastronomic experience.
Last week Friday we went there celebrated my friend birthday so the rest not big but the atmosphere is romantic and warm. The waiters are very patient to introduce the menu food and recommendations,He so friendly The price is reasonable. I am sure I will recommend for my friend I will come again🤗
Hidden Gem in London If you’re looking for a cozy, family-run restaurant that truly makes you feel at home, this place is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The charm of this restaurant lies not just in its food but in the people who run it. The owners are spectacular, treating guests like family, and the staff is equally welcoming. The space is intimate, with a rustic yet elegant decor that makes you feel instantly comfortable. I ordered the pasta with shrimp, and every bite was pure delight. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp were fresh and flavorful, coated in a sauce that was rich yet balanced. It was the kind of dish you savor slowly, not wanting it to end. Service here is truly top-notch. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, always ensuring you have everything you need while letting you enjoy your meal at your own pace. It’s rare to find such genuine care and warmth in service, making this place stand out even more. This restaurant is not just worth checking out—it’s worth going back to again and again. If you’re in London, don’t miss the chance to experience it.
This was a lovely find indeed. The restaurant is small, but it certainly packs a punch. The staff are very attentive and they know how to sell their menu! All the pasta appears to be homemade, and everything we ate had great quality ingredients coupled with sublime freshness. Taste wise, we had our taste sensations spolit by La Cucina. I had the special which at £22 was overpriced for the quantity served. That was annoying, so ask for prices where they are not displayed. Everything else was generally well priced. You still want value for money. We had a lovely time and I would love to eat here again... Real Italian food made real well!
Had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful establishment, reminiscent of those classic family owned cosy restaurants that you often see in Italy. The service was fantastic, very attentive and warm. The bruschetta was delightful, but the special dish of the day, the sirloin steak was incredible. Very tender but so flavoursome, it was a joy to eat. The deserts were pretty good but didn't quite live up to the starters or mains. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this establishment was. Highly recommend
This is the cutest little gem of an Italian family run local restaurant. We are on holiday in London and are staying in the area, and have been several times now. Tonight we got to meet Daffy herself - she’s SO lovely! The food here is excellent, the vibe is relaxed & cool - they play great music, the family members are all gorgeous & lovely. You can buy Italian groceries (pasta, biscuits etc) and fresh Italian sweets/treats too. We met the family pet tonight too - the sweetest Blue 💙 I must add that the bathroom was exceptional for a small space - white & pristine and so well designed. I was particularly impressed with thoughtful emergency provisions for female customers. Very cool 👌
Dinner was very well presented and tasted great. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like special guests!
Honestly, one of the best places in London for Italian. The specials are more than worth the cost in value. The food we had was delicious. Wine could be better, but when the food was good. Waitors were very attentive and warm spirits.
Went for food and drinks after work with colleagues. Great atmosphere, and the cocktails are delicious. I got the prawns for starters and risotto for mains and a pistachio cake for dessert. All really good food! Staff were attentive too and super nice 😊
This has quickly become one of my top favourite Italian restaurants in London. The vibes are fantastic, and the cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind. The service is phenomenal, and the food and drinks are top-notch. Their set menu is both TASTY and affordable—definitely a ten out of ten. It’s an amazing spot for Christmas parties or even a cute little date. I visited a couple of days ago with my partner, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Highly recommend—don’t miss out!
EVERY DAY 8am TO NOON ALL COFFEE IS £2. Seriously amazing. Best place I’ve been to in London. It’s intimate and an incredible place to do work. Super pretty & Daffy, the owner, is amazing. I love it so much here.
Lovely food and service! You can really tell that the owners are passionate about the food here, and it definitely shows with every bite you take.
Authentic Italian dining with heart, flavour, and family warmth! We visited Donik and his mum Dafina’s restaurant last night and were completely blown away. From the moment we walked in, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home hugs, laughter, and genuine care for every guest. The food was phenomenal. The starters especially were out of this world, fresh, bursting with flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish that followed had that perfect homemade touch that only true Italian cooking delivers. You could taste the love and tradition in every bite. What made it even more special was how personal the whole experience felt. Donik and Dafina sat down with us and other guests, sharing stories and laughs. At one point, a customer even brought flowers, that says everything about the atmosphere here. This is more than a restaurant, it’s a little piece of Italy, full of warmth, soul, and amazing food. Can’t wait to go back
This was the best Italian I have ever had in England! Incredibly authentic pasta dishes. The restaurant has a lovely feel and the family that run it are so nice and cheerful. If someone asked me where to go for pasta I would say here without doubt!
A little gem we stumbled upon....the best tasting hot chocolate I have had in a very long time. Shame we didn't eat but I will definitely be back. Pretty little cafe/restaurant and very authentic. Lovely friendly staff too.
The family runs this business, so everything is done with a lot of love and care. Donnie was so friendly and welcoming to us. He had a smile on his face the whole time he was around. Daffy took great care of our dietary needs and even made sure to sort our guest’s birthday.
Discovered this place while staying in the area for work. Really glad I did. Great seafood linguine, lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.
The food was delicious. The staff were very accommodating, it was very cold outside so they gave us a blanket and turned the heater on. If you want an authentic Italian restaurant, I recommend this place.
A hidden gem only few minutes walk from our airbnb. Food is really nice and authentic. Stuff is very friendly. It’s literally so good that we came back 2 days after our first visit. Will definitely come here again next time when I visit London!
Had the most delicious breakfast Service was great and most welcoming Also took away the most tasty of raspberry croissants Will definitely be back 😊😊
Lovely welcome, such a friendly atmosphere and cosy space, and the pasta was honestly out of this world - such a delicious dinner! Super reasonable prices, especially at happy hour, and really wonderful service - the staff couldn’t be more lovely. We’ll definitely be back!
Just ended up there by chance, and it turned out great. The girls were super nice and welcoming. I got a cappuccino – it was delicious. The place is quiet and lovely. Totally recommend it.
I couldn't have chosen better place to celebrate my birthday. Charming and cozy space, delicious quality food and amazing service. Special thanks to Dafina and Donik, who made the occasion very special! We'll definitely be back soon.
We had just arrived in London, was in a daze and was waiting to be able to check into our hotel. We came across this place, and met Daffy. We came back later that evening for a meal. Perfection! My brother had a starter of Mussels in Wine sauce. Said the best he has ever had. Everything was incredible. Was so good we came back to finish our trip with our last meal here again. They are wonderful people and the highlight of our trip!
My friend and I stumbled upon this gem and couldn’t be happier we did- the food was exceptional, we shared some authentic Italian tapas style starters, an absolutely divine carbonara, and Tiramisu- of course- for pudding. The service was fantastic, everyone was so friendly and the vibe was just brilliant. 10/10, thanks Freddie and all!
Right.. so I was too busy eating the delicious food and didn't take photos but it's very very good. I truly loved the Parmigiana as a starter (aubergines were melting and the tomato sauce was full of flavours), and the pasta...incredible. if you want authentic food served by lovely, passionate people, go there. Looking forward to come back asap
We enjoyed a great lunch & great service - so friendly people working there. Thank you for also taking your time to smalltalk with us. If you ever come to Ilulissat, Greenland, I promise you can try some of our whale, seal, reindeer ;)
We had the most wonderful dinner at La Viviana do Daffy 2 last night! From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The pasta was absolutely incredible—clearly fresh and homemade, with sauces that tasted like they were made with a lot of care and tradition. You can truly taste the authenticity in every bite. What made the experience even more special was the owner, Donik. He was so friendly and welcoming, checking in on all the guests to ensure everyone was happy. We learned that he runs the place with his mother, which just adds to the heart and soul of this lovely restaurant. The entire experience felt genuine and warm. We will definitely be back and are already recommending it to all our friends. If you're looking for a true taste of Italy and a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere, this is the place!
We went to La Cucina Di Daffy 2 for Valentine’s Day and honestly… amazing!!. From the second we walked in, the energy was immaculate. The vibe? Warm, romantic, authentic Italian magic. You can feel the love in that place. The food was absolutely insane — fresh, rich, full of flavour, and clearly made with proper care. Every bite just hit. You know when you can tell it’s a family-run spot that genuinely cares about quality? That’s exactly what this is. Nothing rushed, nothing fake — just real, beautiful food made with heart. What made it even better was how welcomed we felt. They didn’t just serve us — they looked after us. It felt personal, cozy, and so genuine. Perfect atmosphere for Valentine’s with my partner. La Cucina Di Daffy 2, you absolutely smashed it. We’ll 100% be back. ❤️🇮🇹✨
From the moment you step inside this little Italian gem in London, you can feel that it’s something special. This isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a family story told through food. Run by Daffy and her son, the warmth here is immediate and genuine, the kind you can’t fake. You’re greeted like a guest in their home, not a customer, and that feeling never leaves throughout the meal. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Every dish tastes deeply rooted in tradition, cooked with patience, pride, and love. Whether it’s fresh pasta, perfectly cooked seafood, or a simple classic done flawlessly, each plate arrives bursting with authenticity and care. What truly sets this place apart is the heart behind it. Watching a mother and son work side by side, sharing laughter with guests and pride in their craft, adds an emotional depth that makes the meal linger long after the last bite. In a city full of Italian restaurants, this one stands out not because it tries to impress — but because it doesn’t need to. A rare, beautiful reminder that the best food comes from family, tradition, and love. An absolute must-visit. ✨
Can't recommend this place enough. This has been my BEST find. It's a tiny place, feels literally like being at someones house and your food is being prepared by an Italian nonna! Amazing food, made with love and fresh ingredients. The service is really really friendly and good, fast and just so accomodating. Love it. I make my own pasta, i love cooking...so i am never happy when i eat out...but this place, omg! I will go there every time! Well done you guys! And, the guy there (he told me his name, im terrible and i cant remember) he is the sweetest!
I was looking for a lasagna but it wasn’t available, the waitress suggested bolognese. It was meaty and flavoursome, and instead of the usual spaghetti, it came with a much thicker variation. For lunch, the price was a little higher than other places around, but I had an enjoyable meal.
Unsure if the chicken in the pasta was real chicken, the texture and the taste were extremely weird and unnatural. However, everything else in the different pastas we tried was delicious. They take a forceful 13.5% gratuity on the bill - when we thought we read service is included in the meal. The waiter was unsure if this is removable or not.
Ladies and Gentlemen I am back to work, my addictions and cravings attached to the package. Today I gave this original restaurant a go as I was attracted by the bright blue Tiffany of the main entrance as well as the sign recalling me the women’s entrepreneurial spirit. The first impression of this place from the outside is of a bakery but it is actually a restaurant. It offers a Menu for lunch and dinner with - what it is told is - Italian food. However, I wanted to try something sweet today. I was welcomed by a smily girl who gently brought me a flat white along with a slice of cake with marmelade. The cake is absolutely celestial. The atmosphere is quite chill not considering the staff sitting at the bottom talking each other like if the guest wasn’t invited into the club (lol). The design of this place is quite interesting. As the description on Google suggests, the impression it is of a cafe which offers proper dining experience as well. I was about to put 5 stars for the service but suddenly the manager’s dog - which is really cute by the way - rushed to my table assaulting my cake. She found it quite normal and said nothing to the dog leaking the table. I gave the dog some cuddles and walked out as the cake was gone. Sharing is caring!
At La Cucina Di Daffy 2, I had THE BEST seafood risotto in London. Period. It’s one of those dishes that immediately makes its mark. The chicken Milanese and spaghetti were good too—every main dish we ordered met my expectations. Unfortunately, the other dishes were just average and didn’t quite capture the Italian authenticity I was hoping for. The zucchini fritti wasn’t what I’d expect from a true Italian fritti, and the cheese arancini needed to be served warm; the cheese had congealed a bit and would have been perfect if they had come straight off the fryer. Then there was the tiramisu. Despite the online pictures making it look amazing, what we received was a “gloopy mess.” As someone who makes tiramisu, I could tell we were served the last bits—the part that’s mostly mascarpone cheese and completely lacking in the structural integrity you would expect. They really should have mentioned that we were getting the final portion in their batch. Adding to the experience, our table was delayed by 35 minutes past our scheduled reservation. The staff were polite and apologetic, explaining that the delay is because they had to entertain someone who arrived 45 minutes late, and we had to indirectly bear that consequence. In a small restaurant like this, being strict about arrival times is crucial. My pregnant wife was especially disappointed, ending up seated outside under a warm lamp—a clear injustice to those who arrive on time. While the seafood risotto stands out as the best I have had in London, the overall experience—with its long wait and few underwhelming dishes—makes it hard to fully recommend La Cucina Di Daffy 2. It has potential, but until the consistency and reservation management improve, I would hesitate to ever go there again.
The food was bad all the way around. The chicken was dry, the risotto was like a bowl of sloppy rice, the tagliatelle was under seasoned, and the tortellini was very small (6 tortellinis in the entire dish). And they were out of tiramisu, which ultimately we were grateful for because the entrees were so poor that I’m glad we didn’t have to suffer what they might have done to tiramisu. This restaurant has a 4.6 star rating, which we can’t understand in any context. Makes me think the owner is manipulating the rating system somehow because they don’t serve anything above 2 stars. If you’re in the mood for Italian food, there’s a fantastic place just around the corner called Faros Holborn where we went to get tiramisu when we left here. It was wonderful.
The food was lovely the atmosphere is lovely. Being over charged due to a system issue is not lovely. System issues arent the fault of the customer. Be careful to check your bill here.
Atmosphere very very loud !!! It's a small restaurant and the sound of the table next to us was not acceptable! Service was mediocre asked us if we wanted water and then didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink water on the table is always a must , never just been asked if we wanted water and no other drinks offered ! Starters were good Mains were poor originally wanted lasagna and they didn't have any so opted for carbarna this was tasteless if it wasn't for the fried bacon on the top I wouldn't have said it was carbarna it was big tubes pasta as well and not spaghetti Husband was disappointed with the portion size very small !!! And to top it off the service charge is optional and she automatically charged us very bad we would not recommend this place there is no need to be tight on portion sizes when u charge 17 quid for pasta ! Also I noted owner taking peoples coats to hang up and I had my Reiss coat on the back of my chair scraping the floor so not impressed at all
