Opinions de Pho Great Titchfield Street London
Really good cheap Pho, better than the stuff back home for sure. The beef is really high quality and the staff are nice. Food comes out fast. The spring roll things were super good. It's easy to find and there are a lot of other things in the area. The only complaints I have (which are maybe a symptom of being so near a busy area) are how crowded and loud it is. I had to ask the guy sitting next to me to get up when I had to leave because there was no way to get out other than climbing over tables. Wouldn't stop me from going again and trying something new though.
This Pho place is a regular haunt for me, and the staff knows me when I walk in! They also know my favorite thing to order (Pho Chin) and most of the wait staff will still ask "will you be having the Pho Chin again, or would you like to try something else? I've been a little adventurous on occasion and tried other things, which were all very good, but the Pho chin remains at the top of my list. I've also never, ever had to wait for more than 5-10 minutes for my Pho to arrive, so it's awesome for a quick lunch! Conveniently located, always clean and with attentive staff, the only complaint I can conjure is that the front door doesn't always close by itself. That's fine though, since the staff usually stays on top of it and I'm sure they'll have it fixed at some point. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this place!
Great little Pho near Oxford Circus! I went in around 1.30pm and it wasn't too busy at all. The lunch was speedy without being rushed and there was great service. I love that they have little paper bibs for the lunchtime crowd too - saves messing up your work attire!
Occasionally I like to eat healthily, and this is the first place I think of. I almost always order Bun Ga Hue, which is hot and spicy chicken soup, and I really recommend it, because it's yummy. I love the way the soup comes in a cardboard pot and how the chicken and vegetables come separately; letting you put them in yourself so they don't go soggy on the walk back to the office. But of course the taste is the best part. I hate spicy food but this is just right, and the portion is quite large. I'd guess about 2 pints of liquid! The seating area is quite small but it's quiet and cosy, being downstairs. The food is prepared in about 10 minutes and the staff are friendly. If you're in need of a McDonalds detox but don't want to eat a salad and be hungry all day I highly recommend Pho.
Very tasty typical asian dishes with vegetarian/vegan options available and clearly marked. Crowded, loud place but in OK, relaxed way. Great option for a quick, good meal for a reasonable money in center of London.
Small restaurant but cosy and warm...perfect if you like viet food and you are in the city center! I love their green curry (with prawns or chicken as well) but all the menu is interesting...spring rolls, noodles, the sides and more and more...Tasty! ...High quality, great portion, the food comes out fast and the staff is very nice! Highly recommended!
Great experience on Monday 7th October 2019 around 1pm I came in with my business partner I had tip the waitress, because of her service he was Afro Caribbean Lady, she's very tall and has a bright smile, very pleasant, outgoing and down earth. She recommend a great wine.... I must say the food was on point very tasty..... I must say you trained your staff members well I hope to more customer service well done Pho.... You . Havd marvellous chefs too
Friendly service, really nice staff. Clean environment. Tasty food with good veggie options and delicious desserts. But portions are very small. There was hardly any tofu in my meal and the dessert was so tiny that I was tempted to order a second one, though put off by the prices. However, it is a good place if you don't want to feel stuffed afterwards.
We were a group of 5 and they were extremely accommodation and opened up downstairs for us. The food and prices are pretty decent for central London. Real tasty and seems like a good place for group situations. Not sure how authentic it is as when asked for recommendations i got pointed to the Gin which isn't really something new. Overall great place and atmosphere, service is fast and accommodating.
Really nice restaurant. Like the Pho tom (Tiger Prawns) and their soups are really excellent. Never been to Vietnam but believe this tastes like pretty authentic food from there. Really nice staff who help you every which way. Nice atmosphere to eat and relax in. Recommended.
Portions were huge! Service was a bit slow! Food was fantastic! Great for vegetarians!
Vietnamese food chain. Nothing too special, it's good to visit if you are craving for vietnamese food.
Pho is a favourite. We love Vietnamese food and Pho is perfect. We have eaten at this outlet and near St Pauls many times. Recommend highly. Clean, neat interiors, great starters and mains, and fast service.
This is a lovely place to go for lunch. It’s not busy until about 12:30 when it fills up and lots of people go through until 2pm when it empties again. This is a brilliant place for lunch as everything is tasty though it is a bit limited on the menu. You can get both hot or cold spring rolls to start, prawn crackers and more. The soup is great as are the chilled noodles. Highly recommend it!
Cosy warm small restaurant. Had Spicy super green noodle soup. Great portion size, tasty. Couldn't finish! Good to go with a friend or friends. Wasn't packed at 12.30 Wednesday lunch. Booked ahead anyway. Service was fine.
Always loved Pho really good choices are the bun. This time I got the chilli beef rice bowl. Nice atmosphere the food is very authentic for a chain restaurant. Good prices and an outstanding menu. Great hangout
The pho was simply amazing. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The service was very quick and servers are very polite. However, it gets very crowded and loud so it becomes difficult to hear the person next to you on the table.
Really enjoyed the food here. Visited with 10 people for an office leaving do, they accommodated us easily. Although there was a mass of people standing around when we left. The chicken vermicelli was really good, plenty of condiments on the table and the spring rolls were tasty.
There's an abundance of average Pho places in London, and from the chain-style modern décor I would certainly never have expected this one to be worth a visit over the other options. They offered an inaugurational Free Friday though, and I was pleasantly surprised by the Bun Bo Hue, simmered to perfection in a broth which hit all the right spots. Service was charming as well, and actually offered me a second bowl. Will come again!
OK so... the waiter - he was amazing. It was packed but he was still so attentive, warm, professional but relaxed and charming. Absolutely awesome. The place itself is quite tight for space... but the food and drinks came fast and in order. The pho was OK - it was 'pho' pho... but I had "spicy chicken" it it was mild... SO mild. I had to ask for fresh chillies on the side... which were kindly provided. It came with way too much oil on the surface... pools of it. It was too salty and a little too sour... not fresh like sour - artificial sour. It was OK tho. Perfect for a quick lunch.
Not bad. I think u know what to expect from Pho in terms of food (it is to Vietnamese food what Wagamama is to Japanese food). It was quite busy when we were there and we were seated right next to another couple of lunchers which wasn't great. We had to order my wife's orange juice twice because they forgot the first time. Overall, decent Viet food and atmosphere, probably slightly above average service.
The spring roll was good, though the fish sauce s rather bland! The Bun Bo Hue portion is very generous I must say for the price, very cheap, come down to quality m, I m not impressed! Not spicy as it should be like other family run Vietnamese restaurants. But why torn beef instead of slices? and really overcooked!
Don’t go here if you’re after authentic Vietnamese. The place is really vibey - they have a great 80s playlist and the staff are nice. It feels more like a hip bar. But I was really disappointed by the Pho. It was bland and the noodles were a bit rubbery. I ordered one with handmade meatballs. They are nothing like the ones you’d expect. They were more like spaghetti meatballs with lemongrass. I appreciate the creativity but it didn’t seem right. There was also a long hair in one which was probably the most authentic part of it! They don’t have coconut juice with the flesh. Just coconut water with lots of ice. There’s also a 12% service charge. I would normally leave a tip anyways as we had good service but the food was quite expensive already.
We ordered fresh rice paper summer rolls with shrimp. They were good but seemed to be stuffed too much so you cannot taste the shrimp. The peanut sauce was good. We then ordered noodles with chicken. This was quite disappointing as it didn't seem to have much flavour without adding pepper sauce or Sriracha sauce. The portion seemed a bit small.
I’ve been a fan of Pho for years and been to many of their different locations. I’ve been to this one before and had a good experience until today. I was there with my boyfriend and we ordered veggie spring rolls to start - amazing as always! But for our mains we ordered different stir fried noodles. He ordered them with chicken, I had mine with mushrooms and tofu since I’m veggie. When our mains arrived I started mixing hot sauce into my noodles and found a piece of chicken in it. I wasn’t sure it was chicken so gave it to my boyfriend to try. It turned out to be chicken and I found a few more piece of it in my stir fry. When I notified the waiter he apologised and said that they’ll make me a new one and won’t charge me for it. This sounded fair to me, soon after another waiter came to the table and said that they are making a new one but I’ll still have to pay for it. I would have been fine to pay for it in the first place but once you promise a customer something you should NEVER go back on your word. I will still continue to visit Pho as I do love their food but will stay away from the Oxford Street one for a while. If you have any dietary requirements or allergies I would be careful at this location.
Stopped by for a quick bite on Saturday night. It was nice to get seated right away but service was a bit slow. I ordered the spicy brisket pho. Spice level was good but the broth was really salty. Also the noodles weren't cooked properly. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese, I'd suggest going somewhere else. Also a bit pricey for what you get.
Used to be great. I think change of management/staff and service rubbish now. My spicy salad rolls were acceptable though. Probably won't come back which is a shame as I used to eat here pretty much every week. Better to go to the Soho one even though it's further away.
Absolutely horrible service 9.30 pm we ordered a chicken curry and we’re told that kitchen is already closed and woks have been washed. The funny part is when we walked into the restaurant at 8.45 We even asked the manager for the last order time and he said don’t worry jus enjoy and take your time. Again while ordering food we told the server that we are ordering two dishes now and would like to order another dish after . On telling the manager that they should have told us that kitchen is closing and if we were interested in ordering anything , he says “we are offering a discount as we have reopened after 2 years, not like we are feeling generous. And that the team is new” I’m sorry to say with service like that, don’t bother reopening . Atleast have the courtesy to be polite to your customers when it’s your mistake . Regarding the food , the best was the chicken cari classic , the chicken salad has a nice punch, sadly the pho was nothing great.
The food is great here and hats off to the chefs but the service has really slipped. We've been going to Pho for a few years now and it seems the staff are getting worse and worse. Missing drinks, food slow to come out and rude staff. We emailed pho but had no response. Given up caring? It seems so....
the worst Vietnamese restaurant ever! I have traveled around Europe and have been to more than 30Vietnamese restaurants, this is the first time I paid 10 pounds for a traditional Pho noodle soup and get only 6 pieces of thin beef meat and the noodle is not even fully cooked! Worse even, they brought my soup to the wrong table after kept me waiting for 25 min when there are only 6 tables occupied (not busy at all), and don't even apologize about that. The only thing good is that there is a lovely black waiter who smiles all the time and knows to close the door when he noticed we feel cold inside.
After the renovations the quality of pho has gone down incredibly! The pho was not hot enough and you could taste the frozen part! The steak meat was very hard so not cooked properly. The drink I ordered tasted like feet. Not going here again. The staff were polite but clearly did not understand Vietnamese food properly.
