I came to Bocconcino with my friends to celebrate her birthday — there were seven of us — and we had an amazing experience. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome, especially for a special occasion. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish tasting fresh and full of flavor. To finish, we had the tiramisu, and it was perfect — easily a 10/10. Overall, a fantastic night with great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend!
A fabulous night worth the price range - had a dinner for 4 at Bocconcino. They have a nice selection of wines and pastas. We had the Sicilian Prawn Tagliolini, Clam Linguine and Parma Ham Pizza. The pasta is so good that we had to order two more different pasta to try out more! And the lamb is so tender and juicy in medium well. Couldn't recommend it more. For the desseet, the souffle is absolutely worth the 20 minute wait. The way it melts in your mouth is simply fantastic. The server Angela is amazing - nice, helpful with the recommendation, and is just simply wonderful throughout the entire night. The live DJ is also an amazing element too. Love it.
Wonderful time for mine and my friends bday, the food portions are quite big and the quality is amazing. Angela looked after us and provided a lovely service, the only reason why the 4 starts on atmosphere was because we went at a brunch time so it was loud and we we couldn’t hear each other haha but that was our choice. Wonderful experience!
one of those places that immediately makes you relax your shoulders. Warm lighting, proper Italian energy, stylish without being try-hard. It feels lively but not chaotic, elegant but not stiff. You could come dressed up or slightly feral and still feel welcome. That balance is rare. Now, Angela. Absolute star. Amazing, friendly, and genuinely funny. Not fake-smiley customer service funny, but real humor. The kind where you laugh and think, ok yeah, this person actually enjoys being here. She made the whole experience smoother, warmer, and more human. The atmosphere overall? Very “dolce vita meets Soho chaos but in a good way.
Truly outstanding experience in the Sotto room, which is a private space downstairs. We hosted a birthday dinner for 14 people and all the staff went above and beyond to make it a special night. The room itself is a very nice size: there’s a great space to dine, a beautiful bar, room to move around and WC right next to the room. We had a dedicated server for our space, Anik, and he was so efficient and friendly throughout. Organising food and drink before was very easy, all done by email with messages being efficiently responded to. The food itself was a perfect selection of Italian classic, served family style at a perfect pace through the evening. Our glasses were never empty, we played music from my phone, and all our guests were delighted with the whole experience. We have high expectations in general, and were so impressed. Recommended wholeheartedly!
I went for the bottomless brunch. There is a dj and a saxophone player so the place has a great atmosphere. We had Alison and Angela servicing us and there were very attentive. We were informed for the brunch we could either have the whole table going for the spritz option or the Prosecco but could not mix and match unless we pay the higher price point which was a shame. The food was very lovely and the staff were very mindful of any dietary requirements. You get a charcuterie board to share and then you can order as many pizzas/pastas you want. we just went for a main each and even that was very filling.
Love this restaurant. My 3rd time and enjoyed the food again. Aubergine Parmagiana is my favourite dish, along with the focaccia bread. Simply delicious. The truffle pasta is yummy and the chocolate fondant perfection!!
Came with my boyfriend, for my birthday meal. We dined on a Friday night which I would 100% recommend as they had a live dj, service was 10/10 the lady named Alison that looked after us was especially polite and friendly, they made us feel super comfortable. Will definitely come back 😁
I always loved going to Bocconcino in Mayfair but was very curious to try their new location in Soho - and it was absolutely delicious in a wonderful atmosphere of the space. Staff was very friendly with us, attentive and kind Loved their pasta dishes, fish we ordered and big selection of wine! Definitely coming back again! Thank you so much team for looking after us :D Big hug to you!
I went to Bocconcino with my gf and friend on Halloween after a West End Show. It was cool to see the waiters and waitresses dressed up with Halloween face paint. The Halloween cocktails went down well! I had a Midnight hex, which tasted like fresh wild berries. Delicious. To start we shared a Vegetable pizza. As a pizza expert, I can say these are 100% authentic Italian. Thin, crispy, and just the right amount of cheese. Divine. For my main I had the pork ragu. The fresh Italian pasta combined with the almost soup like consistency of the pork was truly a unique experience. Certainly not heavy like a bolenaise. Light and well seasoned. I also had to sample the carbonara. Exceptional. This is exactly how I want my carbonara. No cream, pure Italian, and even with the correct pork cut (Guanciale). Incredible. The only slight issue with the dining experience was the “club” music that started playing in the middle of our main course. It made talking difficult and didn’t really suit the venue. I would have had soft jazz piano, or no music at all.
Our very 1st visit to this lovely venue. We are sad to have not discovered this little gem of a place before on our many visits to London. We were greeted and treated wonderfully by the very attentive staff. The setting was just wonderful together with the beautiful food. We will be returning very soon.
Amazing place for food and drinks. The service was great and atmosphere fantastic. We came for lunch very much enjoyed everything. Recommended the black truffle Definitely recommended Burrata to start, and the Tagliatelle with black truffle. Had a fantastic Negroni too! Will be back soon!
Stunning food, haven't had a steak in a while and this place reminded me of what I've been missing Alison was very welcoming and kind, she didn't make us feel rushed. It's also clear that she has good knowledge of the menu, and what has been 86'd
Really enjoyed their bottomless brunch! Food was delicious and our drinks were never empty. The restaurant is beautiful and loved the saxophone player. The waiters were extremely friendly and service was great. One thing to mention- we had already payed for the brunch online prior so when we received a bill on the day we had to correct this and show proof. Issue was sorted quickly though. Would definitely recommend and would come again!
We had an amazing time for our friends hen brunch. The food was absolutely delicious and never ending and our glasses were topped up after every 2 sips! Fabulous, 10/10. Will be back! Thank you so much Lebeeb for looking after us so well!
We visited for the bottomless brunch and it was fabulous. Angela who served us was so lovely as we're the rest of the staff. Our glasses never even got half empty at any point. The food was great, we skipped the oysters but the charcuterie board was tastey with lots of different bits, loved the pickled cauliflower! Then we ordered pizza and carbonara from the menu. We would definitely return and think it would be better with more people so you could try more pizzas having slices of each as after 2 we were stuffed! Live music was a real treat too, the sax player was fabulous.
Very nice, authentic dishes like I was back in 🇮🇹. Bill for two £80 with drinks very reasonable.
Amazing restaurant with amazing food! Couldn’t recommend enough, Angela was great and really made sure we were all happy the entire time. Thank you!
We had a great team dinner at Bocconcino. The atmosphere was vibrant and stylish. Perfect for a team night out as we were. The food was well-prepared and flavorful; the tiramisu, in particular, was a standout for me and absolutely delicious. They also have a wide wine selection and some very creative cocktails that were fun to explore. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but considering you're in central London and the quality of the experience, it's justifiable. Overall, a great spot if you're looking to enjoy good food, drinks, and ambiance in the heart of the city.
What a haven from the hustle and bustle of Soho. This place was absolutely gorgeous inside and the food was amazing. We went for the set lunch menu on Friday afternoon and were blown away by the value. We had burrata and salmon tartare to start the. Steak and prawns as our mains. This is an absolute steal! Make sure to have a cocktail too because the bartender was on fire! The clarified cocktail with milk was something I would have expected to have in a top cocktail bar.
The restaurant is absolutely incredible. The waiter Angela and Bartender Alin were absolutely delightful. The truffle pasta is just “die for” 🤩🤩🤩
Federica was amazing and I had a really good time at the venue. She was friendly, kind and had a good sense of humour. The atmosphere was really good andthe musicians played songs which I liked The food was really good. The highlight was the Lemon Tart which was divine!!!
Warm welcome from our server, Angela who efficiently and accurately looked after us. Food was beautifully presented and tasted awesome except for the lamb which we requested medium-rare but came our rare. Tagliolini with red prawns faultless.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely amazing seafood buffet! Incredible value for money with unlimited lobster, oysters, and prawns — every bite was fresh and delicious. The variety and quality of the seafood were excellent. A special shoutout to Federica, our server, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. Her friendly demeanor, attentive service, and genuine care truly made our experience memorable. I recommend this place for seafood lovers!
Was a lovely evening. The food was amazing and also the restaurant was super coool! You can feel and taste the Italian food. Recommend!
Seafood was amazing, the chef even peeled my prawns for me, music was beautiful and we went for the Prosecco unlimited lunch, which was definitely value for you, such a nice atmosphere too
Went for evening meal last night. This is an excellent Italian restaurant near Soho and close to Oxford Street. Smart interior with lots of space. Tables not too close together which is good. Excellent staff - professional and friendly. The food was very good - pasta main and starter. It was very busy so booking is an idea. The only negative is the music playing in the background - no need as it was already very noisy with all the customers and it didn't give an Italian vibe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely fantastic experience at Bocconcino in SoHo. From the moment we walked in, the ambience was stylish, warm, and inviting — the perfect setting for a special evening. The food was simply excellent, beautifully presented and full of authentic Italian flavour. Every dish we had was outstanding. What truly made the night unforgettable was the exceptional level of service. A huge thank you to Federika, Juan, and Maya, who looked after me and my wife so wonderfully. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome from start to finish. If you’re looking for top-tier Italian food paired with an amazing atmosphere and world-class service, Bocconcino is a must-visit. We can’t wait to return! 🍝✨
The bottomless brunch was good value for money. Pizzas are really tasty and perfectly cooked. The DJ and saxophone was a really nice touch as well! Thank you to Alison & Federica to making our experience even better with service with a smile and constant check-ins.
A really great restaurant with delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and excellent service. We unfortunately can’t remember our waitress’s name, but she had glasses, dark curly hair, and she was absolutely lovely — friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Everything was perfect. The food was impeccable, i expected just some normal Italian food, but no it was wonderful, even though i ordered pretty basic things, the flavors were amazing. The service was very good, Angela was our server and she was very friendly, helpful, and nice! The atmosphere was great, all the vibes and decor in the restaurant were amazing!!! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon!!
Such a lovely evening! Alison was an amazing host. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Dj was a good vibe not too much but the perfect vibe
Impeccable service, lovely restaurant and vibe (DJ much appreciated) and food is good. I liked the menu. But the price point is about 20% too high, even for Soho. The lobster pasta is the most expensive pasta on the menu at £46 and is not made with homemade pasta 🍝 overall a great place to celebrate a special occasion, but not great for an everyday restaurant - ad hoc dinner as you can get this level of food for better value elsewhere
A beautiful spot with lively ambience, and delicious food. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Soho!! I appreciated the thoughtful and tasty options available. Highlights for me included the vegetarian Tagliatelle with Black Summer Truffle, and the Ravioli stuffed with Spinach & Ricotta!! all of which felt indulgent and well‑prepared. Service was warm and efficient.
Could be 5* if the reception being more hospitality! Foods were great, service was good!
Was quite nice as an experience but we didn’t have our usual TOP quality service as we usually have had in the Mayfair branch. Went for an anniversary, so was treated to a surprise little desert plate which was a nice touch. Food was exceptional (as always).
Food was okay, we were placed at the entrance, I have no idea why, we made reservation before going, there are empty seats inside the restaurant, no idea why I’m placed there. The food is okay, I enjoyed the pizza. The pasta we ordered was not that good to be honest. It’s the one with the shrimps. The steak was good and so was the scallops starter.
Angela made our night. She was welcoming and warm and despite the food being mediocre we had a great time because of her and entertaining our table with her smile and service.
Loud, lively with DJ on Friday night, food is good (not great!) worth the price. Decent portion for central London. Wine list is overpriced by bottle and by glass. Service requires well-trained staff but effort is there. A bit too over the top with asking for order of drink, meals and dessert in short space after menu placed others ok. We had to shout as Friday night music was loud.
My Food was ok…pretty average. I ordered the black truffle tagliatelle, watery base not creamy, no flavour (had to add quite a lot of S&P for flavour) underwhelming as this is usually my favourite and go to dish… ordered a side of broccoli and again was underwhelmed, will add a photo. Although my friends enjoyed their meal. Good service and atmosphere
Bocconcino is interesting. Really liked the vibe, the food was quite alright. I thought I could stomach cold cuts, but it showed me up lol. My date had a ball with the cold section though (had maybe 3 runs at it) I opted for the Lamb Sunday roast right after, that I kinda really enjoyed. It was good. The desserts were half good, you could feel it had some potential to be much better. I was a bit concerned with some reviews regarding value, service, etc. The Vibe is definitely amazing, live singer while you down prosecco is always an amazing feeling. I suppose if I was a cold cut person, I would have had much more fun. But yeah. So it would be somewhat disingenuous to knock it outright on the basis of "Value". (Suggestion: maybe add some plates of sautéed prawns, etc. Adds options without going out of the way.) The service was a bit wonky initially, but someone else took over our section and it was greatly improved.
I booked a table here for my birthday dinner, and as it prompted me to name the occasion I stated that it was a birthday dinner on the booking. I was disappointed by the fact that considering they made it an option to state the occasion they completely failed to acknowledge it at all, especially when various other people were getting sang happy birthday to them and receiving specialised birthday deserts. Also, on the booking there was two options of either lounge or bar seating, I chose the lounge as the occasion was intended for a birthday date with my boyfriend, but when we got into the restaurant we were seated on a small table, on its own, next to the bar and not in the lounge area. This made us feel as if we were being quite overlooked and we were essentially just located in the walkway. We decided to request a different table which in the end we did end up in the lounge even though they told us that we had to be out of the table before a certain time even though I had booked a table beforehand. The food was average, nothing special and I requested a take out box as the pizza I had was large, and when I later looked at the box, the picture below was what I saw. I was also charged a substantial service fee which we did not feel was justified based on their service.
The place is well located. Service is just ok same the food. The price is not justified. I order a salad and main entry but the salad never arrived. Main plate you can see the pic.
The interior of the restaurant was lovely - stylish and thoughtfully designed, which made a great first impression. However, £18 for a few cherry tomatoes with buffalo cheese felt excessive, especially considering the portion size. The rest of the food was decent, but nothing that really stood out. A rather odd moment was when my friend’s small bottle of water, which was on the table, was taken away by the staff with the promise to keep it for her - only for it never to be returned. While the restaurant seems to aim for a fine dining experience, the details let it down. There were quite a few fruit flies around, and at one point a server (in a suit) actually had to catch one with a napkin while serving food - I had pointed it out, but still, not what you'd expect. Our waitress was pleasant, but service was quite slow, particularly when it came time to pay. When we asked to split the bill by exact amounts, she seemed visibly annoyed, which was disappointing. As we left, neither of the two hostesses at the front acknowledged us - no goodbye, no thank you - they were too busy chatting with each other, despite clearly seeing us leave. We did pay the 13.5% service charge, but honestly, it didn’t feel earned. While some dishes were enjoyable, overall the experience didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t return. There are plenty of other places offering better food and service for the same price - or less.
Really disappointed with Bocconcino Soho. The food was subpar and starters that I could’ve easily made at home, mains lacking any real flavour or finesse. Service was just okay, nothing special, and certainly not what you’d expect at these prices. The music was so loud it killed any chance of enjoying a proper conversation, which made the whole atmosphere more irritating than enjoyable. And then the bill arrived… absolutely astronomical for what was essentially a very average meal. Style over substance sums it up. Plenty of far better restaurants in London where your money will go much further. Wouldn’t recommend.
FOOD POISONING My girlfriend and I visited Bocconcino Restaurant in Soho, London to attend their New Year’s Eve dinner. The total cost for the evening was well over €500, which seems to be considered normal for NYE in London, so we went in with high expectations regarding quality, service, and food safety. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. After the dinner, I suffered from food poisoning, something that is completely unacceptable at this price point. When you pay that much, you at least expect fresh ingredients and proper food handling. Since my girlfriend and I shared almost all dishes throughout the evening, except for the starter, I was able to narrow it down to the Raw Red Prawn Carpaccio, which I ordered as my appetizer. This was the only dish I ate on my own and therefore the clear source of the issue. Aside from this serious incident, the atmosphere and presentation were fine, but no ambience or celebration can make up for getting sick from raw seafood. Especially during a high-profile New Year’s Eve event, extra care should be taken to ensure the highest standards. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and has unfortunately left a very negative impression. For a restaurant of this reputation and price level, this should never happen. Food was awful all round, no stand out pizza or pasta dishes. Carbonara was overly salty, pizza were largely bland. Service was appaling from the moment we got there - undue impoliteness and hostility from the waitress regarding pre-booked brunch menu's, dietary requirements and ordering. When it came to paying the bill, they only accept 1 or 2 card payments for a party of 9. In comparison, Big Mama group will even split the bill on the card machine (would recommend you go there instead - food is excellent, vibes immaculate). Drinks were innovative but overpriced. The live DJ and saxophonist were great but volume was too loud and sadly the talent there didn't compensate for the shockingly poor experience. Decor was incredible.
A very bad experience & tiara she need anger management courses ! And should be polite …. They served the salad and main course in same time … the truffle pasta wasnt woow poor in taste … the Cesar salad was bulky like TGI fridays vibe also they charge us for service and their service is poor will never back to it
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing in several ways. The food was mediocre and certainly not worth the prices. The service was slow and disorganized, but the real issue was the manager’s behavior. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he was arrogant and rude, responding dismissively to our requests and giving the impression that he had no interest in customer satisfaction. A manager should ensure a positive experience, not make it worse with such ill mannered and disrespectful behavior It’s a shame because the place has potential, but with such poor management, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it
awful , me and my friend both threw up after we ate our food , i got the carbanara and there was no flavour to it at all (bacon was burnt) it was oily and sickly . we ordered £10 mocktails and they was tiny and not much flavour js tasted like watered down raspberrie fizzy. the restaurant looked lovely but the workers was speaking to each other in another language looking over at us making it seam like they was speaking about us . ontop of that they offered us water then charged us £12 for it what a joke , we went for my friends birthday they put the birthday desert down then js walked away , no singing no smiling no nothing . wouldn’t recommend
