I don't like scallops. I don't like tartar sauce. That's what I thought before tonight! I ordered the kings sampler so that I could try a few things on the menu. I like to do that when I'm only going to be able to go somewhere once. I wasn't disappointed to see that it had fried scallops on it, I just figured they wouldn't be my favorite. I was so wrong! They were amazing! Where have these been my whole life? The fried shrimp was a close second and the fish was great too, but the scallops.... wow! It came with a few sauces which were all very good. I never eat tartar sauce because I don't like horseradish, but this one had a very mild horseradish flavor and was extremely good. If I had seen a picture of this before I ordered it I would have said the two worst things on there would be the scallops and tartar sauce, but now that I've eaten it I would say those were the two best! The bartender was very friendly and made me a wonderful virgin drink that was something like a hibiscus lemonade. I highly recommend you try this place.

I give King’s Fish House five stars! From the warm greeting upon arrival to the impressive atmosphere and layout, everything was top-notch. I highly recommend making a reservation, as this venue can get quite busy, and walk-ins may not guarantee seating. The waitstaff were friendly and provided excellent customer service, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it was a solid 9 out of 10—no complaints at all. The fried calamari was crispy and delicious. Now, let's talk about the drinks! They were a perfect 10 out of 10. I enjoyed several lemon drops, and they were so good that I lost count—I think I had about five. For dessert, I tried the cheesecake, which was delightful and rated a solid 9 out of 10, along with a crumb cake and vanilla ice cream, which I also rated a 9 out of 10. This place is perfect for a date night!

I spoke with Steve in the bar area to place a to-go order. He was so enthusiastic about helping me decide what to order, that I had my hubby take me to the restaurant instead of eating at our hotel. The interior and bar area is eclectic and the service from Steve was stellar. His service is even better in person! The Nawlins BBQ Shrimp (appetizer) was amazing and I will buy again when visiting Long Beach 😀

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Kings Fish House on Christmas Eve. Our server Jason was really fantastic, but truly the entire staff was amazing, and y’all deserve a shout out. We were out with our 4 year old son who is on the spectrum and going out to eat can often be stressful for our family, but from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. When our son became overstimulated and started running around, instead of scolding us or making us feel uncomfortable, the hostess spoke to him kindly and treated him with respect. She even gave him a stress ball as a Christmas gift, which made me tear up, and calmed him down enough for us to finish our meal in relative peace. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into a breath of fresh air — it honestly felt like a warm Christmas hug. Thank you so much to everyone at Kings Fish House for the kindness and compassion we will never forget. You all truly made us remember the true meaning of Christmas Kindness. Bless!

It was my first visit to King's Fish House and it was a birthday celebration for me. I loved the atmosphere and the service. The wait staff was patient with of asvwe ordered and shared food. I had a grilled salmon dish that was perfect. There was a shrimp appetizer that I had, it was excellent.

Restaurant, that took my heart and soul from the first visit and has kept it ever since to every time I have the opportunity to dine there. Great menu options. Quick and welcoming service. And the food… always perfectly fresh and tasty. And you can feel the difference when your food arrives without sauces on it. Real taste of the sea 🙏

We had a large party for lunch. Our server was very nice and did not get put out with us asking for lots of things. I had the Kings plate- amazing! The fish, shrimp and scallops were perfect! Loved it. The clam chowder was outstanding. Different from other places- but so good! The only downside, and it may have been our fault, was it did take awhile for our food. Other than that a perfect meal.

This place was mad cool. Went during lunch during the weekday. Fairly quiet but I loved the atmosphere. Also the prices were excellent. Got a full dozen oysters 🦪 for 40$, that’s amazing! The food great. I would recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I happened to come around this place while walking Long Beach downtown and we saw amazing reviews. We went in and we were seated very quickly. The interior decor and the atmosphere were very calm and very nice. Our server was very informative and very knowledgeable of the dishes and everything. We had the oyster sampler along with the New England clam chowder as our starters. It was so delicious, the menu is very detailed about where each oyster came from. Our entrées were so incredible and they were recommended by our amazing server. I have never had such an amazing miso fish dish like this before. This dish was worth it. I highly recommend this place if you are around Long Beach area downtown, if you’re planning to go to the aquarium, definitely stop by here and check it out!

I had a wonderful experience. Warm bread 🍞 with soft butter was brought to the table as soon as I was seated. I ordered a fantastic cup of clam chowder soup, that really hit the spot! I also had a traditional lobster sandwich that came with an order of coleslaw and a side of crispy fries🍟. Everything was delicious and served up promptly! The service was great! I will return to King's Fish House when I visit Long Beach in the future.

We stopped in Kings Fish House for dinner. We were seated immediately, the restaurant was pretty empty. I ordered three appetizers: albacore roll, calamari and beet salad. They were excellent; one criticism was the presentation on the maki roll wasn’t great. It was tasty but didn’t look so tasty. 4.5/5 My son ordered the salmon for dinner and it was exceptional. 5/5 . My wife had shrimp taco and scallops. They were also good - the shrimp was over cooked . 3.5/5 I had a bowl of chowder which was very good 4.5/5 We all agreed this place was a solid 8.5/10 - since they’re already close to a 5 star, I’ll vote 4 star since they’re not a 5/5.

I recently visited King's Fish House in Long Beach to celebrate my sister's birthday. We were a large party of 14, and we occupied a significant area towards the front of the restaurant. Despite the challenge of accommodating such a large group, the evening turned out to be lovely, thanks to perfect weather and excellent service from one particular staff member. Although our main server seemed a bit overwhelmed and was often absent, a gentleman on the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made a significant difference, as he frequently checked in on us to make sure we had enough water, drinks, and utensils. The food, as always at King's Fish House, was outstanding. My father, a big fan of oysters, ordered four large trays, allowing us to sample a variety of types. Each one was delicious. I particularly appreciated that all the food was served together rather than in a staggered manner, which can sometimes be the case with large groups. Having visited other King's Fish House locations in Santa Monica and downtown Los Angeles, I can say that each has its own unique charm. However, the Long Beach location felt especially cozy and just right for our celebration. Overall, despite a minor hiccup with our main server, we had a fantastic time. The delicious food and the excellent service from the attentive male server made it a memorable evening. I highly recommend King's Fish House in Long Beach for both its food and its inviting atmosphere.

The food was very good, and we had a wonderful server. Unfortunately the location was a bit of a negative with many homeless on the sidewalks. But most glaring negative of all that I wish I didnt have to bring up, because the food and service was great, there was a roach just under our table. I'm not naive to think restaurants are completely bug-free, but to see one iut in the open at out table made it a bit uncomfortable, especially since it hung around until I was forced to kill it because it later started to crawl towards my foot.

This restaurant use to be a staple in Long Beach but this is my 2nd time going in since the remodel and I’m disappointed in the service. Greeting was poor and just as dark as the atmosphere. The place smells and it’s barely holding on I’m sure due to the customer service.

The shrooms were over cooked and they were not whole mushrooms. The onion rings were undercooked. Last but not least the tots did not taste fresh, but they tasted frozen. The only great thing about this place was the shake and the waiter.

Im surprised this location is still open. I went for a date and it ended up being the worst possible choice. With much regret in my heart. There were only two workers in there and I had to go up them to take my order because they would not go up to you. The female and male worker were both sitting down on their phones most of the time and had the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. All the sodas were flat and when I asked for a lemonade replacement it was strait watered down and disgusting. The shake we ordered was pretty much melted and in a to go cup with no nice presentation whatsoever so ever. I’ve been to Johnny rockets before and had a great experience and great food. Im not sure if all of the restaurants have changed but this was by far the worst restaurant experience I have had. How they afford to be at this location? I’m not sure but never again.

Took forever to take our order, server wasn’t the friendliest idk if she was having a day but she seemed to be in a bad mood and quick to stay on her phone. Soda was flat so i replaced it with a lemonade but that seemed to be watered down as well. The milkshake was more like soupy cup of chocolate. they brought the order out wrong but took it back to fix. Almost everything that could go wrong went wrong lol which is unfortunate because its at a location that would make it easy for them to thrive if they could just provide some hospitality.

felt more like a nuisance than a customer unfortunately.. the employees were more worried about scrolling through their phones than serving me, i had to go up and order (i thought this was a dine in restaurant). It was my birthday and i had a lousy experience, needless to say but i should have went to ruby tuesdays instead.

I do not suggest this establishment to anyone. The ambiance was clean, but the building was quite empty. However, the burger was disappointing as it was soggy and the meat was of poor quality. It was overly salty and greasy, and surprisingly did not come with cheese, which required an additional payment. The meal itself was quite expensive at $14.99, and that did not even include a drink or cheese. The customer service was acceptable, but overall, I will not be returning. It is advisable to save your money or dine elsewhere. My first visit back to this place was a major letdown.
