First time customer review: Best egg roll I've had in a long time. Their Szechuan chicken was loaded with much more veggies than I ever expected. The egg drop soup was also great. Not just the only Chinese open late on a Saturday, they're the best chinese open late on a Saturday. Until next time!

11/25 Update: Its good when its hot. Especially on a cold fall day. The combination of white rice, chicken and brocolli soaked in that delicious brown sauce warms my body from the inside. Bae got the fried chicken. She only likes the skin so she saves me the meat. Score for me. Excellent chinese food take out. I got the beef and brocolli. Bae the four chicken wings with egg fried rice and onions.

Quick reasonably price food. Food is tasty. Can't complain. Service has been nice everytime I went.

Rating: 6/10 Date Last Visited: 10/12/2025 I ordered a beef dish and Chicken and Broccoli Combination ($12) with Pork Fried Rice and soup. The chicken and broccoli was pretty delicious - the chicken was not dry and there was a good amount of vegetables that tasted great. The fried rice itself was good too. The beef dish was a little underwhelming, as there were only a few pieces of beef, which made me feel like I was eating most veggies with a side of meat. This is a very classic Chinese takeout place, so don’t expect anything crazy. Since I live close to here, this place will definitely become a staple if I want takeout. For the price and quantity, this place is worth it. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want takeout near your area.

The service was very friendly and efficient. Inside is what you’d expect for a mainly take-away Chinese place. The food was sadly a disappointment. We got Kung Fu chicken, egg drop soup, chicken lo mein, and a few egg rolls. The egg drop soup was very good, but everything else was lackluster. The Kung Fu chicken was bad - it was dry, overcooked, only thing that really saved it from being tossed was the sauce. I think it’s an okay spot if you need something quick, but I probably won’t go back.

order chicken chow fun and onion rings, the chicken chow fun was tasteless and hardly any flavor and onion rings were room tempture and cold, paid over 30$ for other food and did lady said no free soda when order online only or via phone, wouldn't order again

Very rude lady on the phone, she was yelling at me because i called her to see when would my order be delivered since it took more than an hour. The food arrived late and cold, and they gave me only 2 sauces for 2 orders…..

Feel free to judge yourself by the comparisson enclosed on one of the most recent appetizer dish ordered "Cold noodle with sesame sauce". Picture on the left shows East Garden Restaurant inside plastic delivery container " poorly executed " and the other picture shows customers' expectation on what is supposed to be delivered. Hopefully the restaurant management will take some actions to improve their product and service to keep their business afloat.

The food is terrible. I had to request a refund. I've been to alot of chinese resturants and i always order the same thing. I have NEVER had dry general tso chicken.I added duck sauce and still dry. The chicken seem to be re cooked several times bc it's rubbery.

**Poor Experience at East Garden Chinese Restaurant** I recently had an extremely disappointing experience ordering from East Garden Chinese Restaurant. The customer service was appalling, and the entire situation was handled with incompetence and disregard for the customer. I ordered the quart of Shrimp with Garlic Sauce & an extra pint of white rice TO NO AVAIL!!!!!! The delivery driver failed to deliver my order to the correct address, building, or floor. Despite my clear instructions to deliver the food directly to my apartment door—especially since I am differently-abled—the driver ignored these directions. Instead, I was inconvenienced and forced to go downstairs and wait in the lobby and outside in the cold. While I waited as directed by the restaurant via phone call the driver inexplicably headed into the wrong building instead of waiting downstairs as restaurant instructed. This was not only frustrating but completely avoidable if he had followed my delivery instructions. There was no moped or bike parked on front of my address either. My RING doorbell camera also confirms no one accessed my apartment door, not to mention the entire building! When I contacted the restaurant again, the female customer service representative was dismissive, rude, and argumentative. She repeatedly hung up on me, spoke over me, and seemed more concerned with leaving work for the night than resolving my issue which she stated from her own mouth. She claimed that a photo sent by the driver verified delivery at my address, but this was false. My apartment number is similar to many others in neighboring buildings, so it’s clear the driver delivered to the wrong location. To make matters worse, I was told that a young man in his twenties or thirties falsely claimed he had ordered the food and accepted it. This individual was not me(a woman)nor anyone associated with me. The restaurant even stated that this person was a repeat customer, which makes no sense because this was my first time ordering from them. This negligence resulted in a complete stranger having my food, name, and address. This entire experience was a major inconvenience and a waste of my time, money, and energy. The restaurant’s handling of the situation was unprofessional and unacceptable. I am left hungry and frustrated due to their poor service and lack of accountability. This incident needs to be reported to prevent others from experiencing such an ordeal. As I was trying to rectify the situation, I managed to reach the driver's phone at one point. However, instead of speaking with him directly, I was met with a foreign language and profanity being spewed in the background. This left me both confused and disgusted, further highlighting the lack of professionalism and respect shown by the staff involved in this incident. I will never be a patron at this establishment again. I'm anxiously anticipating the restaurant owners response to rectify the distress I endured to my health. I deserve a complimentary (free) order due to the disservice and inconvenience I experienced. I don't recommend this establishment.
