Opinions de Plenty on Bell Los Alamos
Great experience, and best tuna and chicken salad sandwiches that I’ve had! Spacious/airy atmosphere and welcoming staff. Great portions and had a solid “community” vibe for lack of a better term. We were stopping in quick before driving back to San Francisco and decided to eat there. Food took five minutes to prep. Would have liked to check out the side patio / outdoor space but had to run.
Our first time and it was delightful. Los Alamos is becoming a center for food tourism it seems with more and more restaurants including even Michelin star. Plenty on Bell is a classic old building with acquaint interior and wooden tables, It comfortable sunny umbrella covered side patio, and a nice luncheon menu selection. The burger was huge and delicious, the fries crisp and perfect, my wife's BLT was great, and her zucchini soup was amazing! The lemon blueberry cake was a little dry but the strawberry cream ice cream very good. The service was perfect, friendly, and even cheerful! All in all a great first time experience and once we've tried a few of the other new places we would certainly come back to this one!
I decided to grab a bite to eat after finishing my passport application at the Post Office across the street. As soon as I walked in, Nicole greeted me and made me feel welcome. I chose the chorizo burrito with orange juice, some toast, and a side of crunchy bacon strips. It all was quite yummy and definitely “Plenty” of food for a nice breakfast. My only recommendation is switch the mason jars for regular cups as they may not be as easy to keep clean. Thumbs up!
Fabulous spot! The breakfast sandwich was wonderful!
Made a stop here in a Sunday morning in the middle of a long drive along the coast. The atmosphere is very peaceful and service was smooth and calming. Food is superb quality with a mild yet fulfilling flavor. Dishes ordered were the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. The fennel sausage in the burrito was particularly good. Price was very reasonable and portions were fairly large but not overwhelming. Definitely recommended to all wether they be local or traveling through.
We were so happy to come across this restaurant on our travels across California. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and filling, the coffee was premium, the pancakes were delicious and beef scrambled eggs. We were so happy with the service, the atmosphere and the food. I hope to eat here again next time I am in California!
Lovely little spot! The Tuna Sandwich is so yummy. Fresh bread and veggies! Check them out :)
Dropped in for lunch, brought our dog and sat on the patio. Husband had the Plenty burger and I had the Ahi sandwich . We always get our dog a side of turkey 🤣 Everything was delicious as usual, and the service is always on point. We love driving down for lunch on a regular basis, have never had a disappointing experience here. Love it!
Had breakfast with the family, it was amazing. We had the Short Rib Hash, Breakfast Sandwich and the Joe's Scramble. Everything was delicious, the crunch on the bread for all dishes was amazing. My only issue, I was only able to eat their food once. P.S. their peanut butter cookies are to die for. Need to come again no doubt
We had the best experience here. Service was excellent, they were even happy to change one of their menu choices to how I wanted it and it was amazing!! Fresh juice, beautiful coffee, definitely worth the visit, just wish they were closer to Australia!!! Thanks, Plenty on Bell, you're tops👍
This is such a nice inviting place to eat where I felt like family when I was there for the 2 times I had the privilege of eating there. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend them and will be stopping by next time I'm in the area. Even if it's 30 minutes out of the way. Thanks for the great experience.
Plenty on Bell, formerly Café Quackenbush is one of my all time favorites. I use to live in Los Alamos and it was a staple for me. Jasper, chef/owner is an amazing chef and a remarkable human. The food never disappoints. I have been visiting CA for almost 2 months and have eaten here often. I love the burger, the BLT, Mary’s chicken salad, the seared tuna, the short ribs, the coleslaw, and the carrot cake. Plenty on Bell is a must visit.
Great food and nice staff! Hands down the best burger I have had in a month or so. The waitress was really nice. The inside is calm as well. Nestled in the heart of Los Alamos, this place is awesome!
We ate brunch in their adorable courtyard and enjoyed the cute space. Everything was incredibly tasty, from the chai latte and coffee drinks to the biscuits and grits and avocado toast. Staff was also delightful and helpful.
So happy we’ve found this place! Such a welcoming staff, nice ambiance, stylish decor and dogs are welcome! It was pretty cold, so we were seated inside, but there are outside tables as well. They have vegan options, so we ate wonderful avocado toasts and cappuccino with almond milk. Thank you guys! We will definitely be back here next time we stop at Los Alamos.
We had my son’s Wedding Rehearsal here and it turned out beautifully. I worked with Christine for months prior, working out all the details. She was really flexible and had great suggestions. It turned out to be almost double the amount of people, of what I originally asked for. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and had 46 people. This was early December and the restaurant was decorated so festive and we had the outside area before the meal. Jasper the Chef was superb. Braised short rib snd Salmon were done to perfection. All the staff was fantastic. Christine was so patient and helpful along the way as things evolved. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a small business restaurant for any event, you’ll love it!
Nicole was so incredibly nice and attentive, and the food was great! We’re in town for a wedding and will definitely be coming back here for breakfast again.
We were able to easily get a table with no wait for breakfast. Server was fantastic. Highly recommend the short ribs hash. Bacon was cooked perfectly. Will be coming back.
Right in the heart of Los Alamos, Plenty on Bell is such a cute coffee shop and restaurant. The staff were so friendly! We enjoyed coffee, a pastry, and a delicious breakfast burrito. Service was quick and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!
This place is pretty good. It has nice outdoor seating, good food, and great customer service. I’ve been here plenty of times, but previous visits I’ve never actually been hungry, so I just get a beer while my friends eat. Which is still great, since in love their vibe outside. This last visit I actually got something. And it was the kids vegan chicken nuggets. 1. I was stoked they weren’t bothered that I ordered off the kids menu. 2. I’m no where close to vegan, so I was very skeptical of vegan chicken nuggets. But I wasn’t hungry enough to order something bigger. So I took a chance. 3. They were surprisingly good. If I didn’t know they were vegan, I wouldn’t have known. That says something, right? Anyway, my hubs got soup. And it was a very pleasant lunch!
My husband and I got married at Plenty on Bell, it was absolutely perfect! From the wedding planning, decorations, food, and day of - it was amazing. Christine, Chef Jesper, and all staff were so friendly to all of our guests we had at the wedding. We can't wait to keep visiting Plenty on Bell!
My new favorite place for breakfast! I have tried most everything on the menu it's all been really delightful. They have the best home fries I have ever had anywhere. They also serve our favorite organic coffee: Green Star! We absolutely love the prices. This restaurant has absolutely the best quality per dollar of any restaurant on the Central Coast. It's too bad they aren't open for dinner more often, but for breakfast they can't be beat!
Great coffee. Great breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere and fast service. We woke up and made our way into town, deliberating between the bakery we love and Plenty which we hadn't tried yet. It was a great decision. The food was excellent, the servers were friendly and the seating was comfortable and spread out generously. We will definitely be back! EDIT: Did go back. Twice more in the same trip.
No pics to share because we were hungry! The sausage breakfast burrito & pancakes were yummy! My lavender latte was tasty. Such a great find in Los Alamos. We will be back to this cute place!
I recently visited Plenty on Bell and it instantly became my new favorite spot! The ambience and atmosphere were absolutely lovely, especially sitting in their beautiful garden patio. It felt like a serene little getaway. I started with a mimosa, and it was divine—perfectly refreshing. The service was superb—my waitress was so personable and truly a delight. She made me feel right at home. As for the food, I ordered the short rib hash prepared by Jesper, and it was simply out of this world! Every bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. This place is truly a hidden gem. If you’re in the area, you absolutely have to check it out. I know I’ll be back soon!
Delicious salads including tuna salad on greens. Savory plates like the adult grilled cheese and pastrami sandwich certainly entice. Fresh beer selections, sturdy tables, and sweets if you’d like.
There is plenty to love about this little restaurant. Customer service, there menu is killer and the food is delicious. This was our first time having breakfast at Plenty on Bell and boy was it delicious. The biscuits and gravy with a side of perfect scrambled eggs and along with the mind blowing Short Rib Hash with creamed horseradish and bottomless cups of coffee ☕️ ..... was more than we could handle. Delicious! Can’t wait to visit you guys again.
Stopped here on my way up the coast. Very lovely breakfast spot. Friendly staff, good location on the main street, quiet atmosphere. Would recommend.
Casual setting with friendly & prompt service. Good selection of sandwiches, salads & small bites for lunch. Plenty Mimosa is delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice. Serves beer & wine too!
Plenty on Bell is a charming, cozy spot that serves up a delightful latte. The ambiance is inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind. Their coffee latte is rich and satisfying, a must-try for coffee enthusiasts. It's a hidden gem in the city.
The staff are nice and cleanest bathroom off 101 around here in my opinion. The food was delicious and fresh. I added fresh bacon and avocado to the hamburger.
The chicken salad on greens was so tasty! The French fries are crispy, delicious and well seasoned. The peanut butter cookies are the best! I always get 2 and a shot of espresso for a plus-plus taste experience.

My daughter and I went to Plenty on Bell based on a friend's recommendation. I had the seared ahi tuna salad and she had the veggie sandwich. Both meals were excellent. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommend!!
We LOVE this place. The food is of the highest quality; always fresh and they even use real, red and ripe tomatoes on their burgers. You can taste the difference, trust me. Freshly baked EVERYTHING, and a friendly, very hard working staff. They appear to be being evicted by a new owner who is not honoring Plenty’s lease. I’ll tell you what…whatever comes into this location besides Plenty, will never get our, or all of our friends’ business. There are a LOT of customers who are loyal to Plenty. I don’t care if they gold- plate the croutons, we will never eat at this location unless it is the Plenty Restaurant. Good people don’t deserve bad people in their lives!!!!
Super friendly and attentive staff with great food. Breakfast menu is full of delicious options with fresh ingredients and artistically served. Comfortable patio, good coffee, and a great chef who clearly cares about quality. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a pleasant little breakfast here on a verging-on-autumn Tuesday when no weekend crowd was present. Short rib hash was surprisingly dull. Breakfast sausage patty lacked flavor and fat. Mixed berry scone was absent the appropriate texture and flavor of anything even pretending to call itself a scone. On the other hand our server was an enthusiastic and kind delight, and she kept both the exchange of morning pleasantries and the coffee flowing. The outdoor seating was equally inviting. I’d try Plenty on Bell again. Maybe the kitchen staff lacked inspiration that particular morning. They deserve a second chance just like we all do.
Cute, quaint, charming, relaxing, layed back. Settle in a Adirondack chair circling a opened fire pit, while enjoying a glass of wine. Or sit inside and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Many delightful and delicious options. But don't be in a hurry here. Service and food arrives slowly. As well as the rest of this funky town. Ever changing, ever upgrading. A unique place.

Sausage is seasoned very strong. Food was okay. The portion of my avocado toast was very small compared to Bob’s Well Bread. For a difference of a couple bucks, I’d just go next door. Service was good.
Staff is nice and they wear masks. Unfortunately customers don’t. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I got my order to go. Chicken salad wasn’t edible in my opinion. It wasn’t ordinary chicken salad and there was no indication on the menu it would be different. What a waste. I assume it was made with turmeric or paprika. Gross. And it was pulled not like regular chicken salad so it was difficult to eat. They overloaded the bread making it impossible as well. This belongs as a salad with a proper description, not a sandwich. The fries were good and thin but had a slightly strange flavor I couldn’t place. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing.
