Honestly I hesitate to review this place because it’s such a hidden gem and I don’t need it to get crowded! 😅 Everything is perfect — the food, decor, and wait staff. I only come here on weekdays tho because it does get crowded on the weekends. I especially love the farro breakfast salad, brownie, and lemon ricotta pancakes. 😋

Excellent service great ambience and very helpful stuff. You cannot go wrong. Give this place to try.

Went opening day. Pretty well put together for their first day open. Had a cortado ("magic"). It was a bit "brighter" than I'd prefer in a perfect world, but overall very good. I think the pastries are from Manresa - either way, they are pretty solid. Nice assortment of choices. Staff was very friendly. I'd definitely return - this place is on my list of "good Bay area coffee" (Voyager, Chromatic, Living Room, 1oz, Alexander's, academic, B2 [RIP], etc).

Lovely place. Beautiful ambience. All white and airy. We got a lovely private table for 8 as we were a group of 6 adults and 2 children. Great place for a Sunday brunch. Must try dishes here are - B.L.A.T.E , Green Baked Eggs, Banana Bread, Blueberry Muffin. The coffee which we had and like is called "Magic".

What a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch 💕 We was very happy visited this place. Everything was delicious, but this place are very busy all time and staff very busy all time too. It’s ok, because everyone was friendly and nice. Very nice outdoor space and next time we will have breakfast there💕

One of the best breakfast places I have tried in Bay Area. Excellent service. Easy and efficient ordering process. And fantastic food quality. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a clean, cozy, and family place for brunch.

Great comfy spot for breakfast and brunch in Los Altos downtown, the impossible bayside burger is implying delicious, nothing special about coffee though, price are a little bit high than again it's in Los Altos downtown area, definitely will be back soon to try other stuff on the menu.

We love the train and the original train station established in1913. We ordered coffee and enjoyed the experience here.

I'm so delighted that Bluestone Lane have opened this cafe in Los Altos. As a party of 3 Aussies and 1 Kiwi, we had the best Saturday brunch I've had on this side of the equator. It was busy but not unreasonable, and the staff are super friendly. The food was delicious, all our poached egg had perfectly runny yolks, the avocado was piled high, and the big breakkie was a plateful of nostalgia topped with American-style bacon. This cafe brings the attention to detail and classic menu items of the quintessential Melbourne Cafe to Silicon Valley. I can't wait to keep coming back for more.

A little noisy, but lovely decor and great food! Excellent place if you enjoy drinking tea or coffee (both hot and cold). If you prefer soda with your meal, this is not the place for you! The truffle mushroom grilled cheese is fabulous!

Such a beautiful place to go for a coffee and some lunch. Fresh and healthy meals. The decaf is incredible, and turmeric lattes are delicious. If you’re in the area definitely check it out. Super cute interior and nice place to catch up with friends

A cute cafe with a spacious patio. For Sunday brunch, you need a reservation to sit outside. All our food was quite good, and the coffee was surprisingly tasty. It's definitely on the expensive side for how the portions are sized, but for us it was worth it for the quality.

Review update: Thanks so much for considering my feedback! I’ve ordered the same multiple times since and the toast and salmon serving size has improved/looks like the picture. — Ordered a brekkie board (granola & avo toast) on the app for delivery, with added smoked salmon for $6.50. Photo in app shows a full slice of toast, but only received half. Misleading - but could have been OK except that I also only received half portion of smoked salmon! Despite smoked salmon add on on regular avo toast costing the same!

Great experience, super cute café. I ordered a green goddess salad and a coconut water coffee, and my friend ordered the rainbow salad and beet latte. Both were SO delicious, and I will definitely come back!! I love the decorations.

This is one of the great spots for your breakfast, brunch, lunch or get together. The ambiance is really good and lux and at the same time calm and keeps you concentrated if you want to work. The food is really good and the drinks are must try. Plenty of drinks to chose from. They have an outdoor seating, patio seating and indoor seating depending on your needs. Would recommend getting a reservation as they may get busy. The Avocado toast is a must try. The staff is really helpful and keep attending you very well. This place also has a history associated to it, with one of the train wagon parked at the location. If you are a vegetarian like me (no eggs, no meat) you may be hit with very limited food options. Overall a perfect spot for your cravings, coffee and food.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I come into town every so often for work, but when I do it’s a must stop. I’m usually not one to write reviews but I had to because of the service & coffee<3. This past week I got helped by Yami & Isaac and they were absolute angels. But I’ve also gotten really good service with Jonathan and Nic. Amazing!!!

This place is delicious and quaint! Had the rainbow bowl and shared the lemon ricotta pancakes with friends, both were very good. Friendly staff and outside patio seating with a heater on was great since we had a dog with us. They are a little pricey, but have healthy options. I look forward to trying more things from here.

Probably the best decorated place around Los Altos, it feels like south of France and bit or Greece with the colors. The brunch food is good and is well served, juices are pretty nice as well and coffee is definitely on point. I would go back in a heartbeat to this place and enjoy their outdoor seating when the weather warms up. It might get packed soon !

Best mates bowl was delicious! It felt healthy but also really savory, tasty, delicious! It hit the right spot with soft egg, crunchy salty radish, feta cheese, delicious mushroom. 5/5! My mocha and croissant was also good but nothing to rave about. My partner- the soft chili egg dish was good but difficult to eat, and the cold brew was great.

Amazing place for a cozy bunch! We are new to town and will for sure be making this our new daily coffee spot. The food was amazing, my favorite was potato wedges with sauce on the side 10/10! The service to was amazing too we didn’t wait to long on our food and our Server Jackie was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed!

Great place near Los Altos downtown for your next weekend brunch with friends! 🍳 Very bright inside and esthetics! Excellent food and plating ✨ Would recommend booking a table in advance, and you cannot go wrong with the avocado toast. The only downside is that it could get pricey very quickly 😅

A favorite lunch place downtown Los Altos. Bright and light indoor setting and option to eat outside on the patio. You order and pay from their app, convenient as each guest can pay separately without having to split the bill at the end. Careful for everybody in the party to order just a few seconds apart, or some guests may wait for their dish while you are halfway through yours. Love the food, plenty of choices for different tastes.

Service was phenomenal! Thank you for the exquisite atmosphere and attention to detail. We asked for a fancified latte art for our pictures and the staff delivered beautifully. Highly recommended the blue bondi smoothie for anyone who needs a little tropical pick me up. Will definitely be back soon for the lunch offerings.

Awesome cafe@ Los Altos downtown. Must visit! Must try! Great options to pick for Vegan, lactose free, BROW friendly.. kids friendly, pet friendly. Great indoor / outdoor seating, unisex restroom available. Opens from 7am -6 pm, 7days /week. Gets busy and almost packed so better to go early to get your table... Taste, ambience, value of money, services, sitting arrangement, environment, waiting time.i will give 5/5* for this cafe. This is one of my favorite places. I’ve been coming here for about five years now, and it’s an amazing combination of coziness, great service, tasty and healthy food (especially by American standards), delicious coffee, and the incredible people who work here. So, John and Jon—hello, you’re awesome! Thank you, and thanks to all your coworkers who make this place so special for me 💙 And thank you, Bluestone. Even though you’re a chain, you’ve managed to keep the quality high—and that’s only possible because of the amazing people working on the ground.

It felt very cozy and it gave a homey vibe which i loved. there was a decent amount of people and a good wait time since it was early. one of the best iced coffees in the city and cities around and my whole family loved the food. lastly i wanted to thank the waitress who recommended me a few plates since it was my first time, she was very helpful and amazing she was always checking up and seeing what we all needed, her name was angeline and she was such a kind and attentive waitress . all in all i will be visiting again and I recommend anybody looking at this to stop by.

Bluestone Café boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for enjoying a delectable meal or a cup of coffee. I have visited this establishment numerous times and have always been impressed with their level of service and attention to detail. The café can get quite busy during peak hours, I recommend making reservations in advance - especially if you're planning on dining with a group. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is flavorful and satisfying. Their portions are generous and will leave you feeling full and satisfied. The coffee blend is perfectly roasted and brewed to perfection, making it unnecessary to add any additional sugar or flavorings. I highly recommend Bluestone Café.

Always the best service and food here, You can't beat the coffee either!! Had a wonderful late lunch with my wife today. She is Celiac so bacon and eggs with the Gluten Free banana bread is her go-to. We let the staff know about her need for gluten free and they took the nessissary cross contamination precautions. As for myself I went with the burger and home made fries. Never a disappointment here.

I had such a great dining experience here! Yami, Jonathan, Nico, and Issac were amazing super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a 5-star experience all around. Highly recommend!

upscale dining and ambiance. It was by far the best coffee I've ever had; it was well worth the money because I could taste faint aromatic overtones. My meal was wonderful and exquisitely prepared. Also thanks to my great server Angeline

I personally didn’t like the coffee but everything else was great! The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious. I had the baked green eggs and it was so hearty and yum. I also really enjoyed the buttery pastry and I wish I had the recipe for it.

Definitely my favorite brunch place in the entire bay! Amazing menu with plenty of seasonal changes, but somehow very single dish they make manages to be an 11/10. Their shakes are to kill for as well (on the days they aren’t sold out haha). Like the “new” online ordering for each table as well. Los Altos downtown is a great place to roam as well, lots of great options around!

We had such an incredible time grabbing brunch. Our host was super delightful and kind. Wait was only about 20 minutes which worked out perfect for us. Our waiter was very thoughtful and made sure to be specific about menu items we had asked and shared recommendations. Latte was delightful so was the rest of the food! Had eggs Benedict and it was so so delicious. The sauce was amazing!!! Over all loved this place and for sure will be back again very soon!

I went on a Sunday for brunch. The place was full and had a very cozy atmosphere. I was able to get a table in the shade. The service was very good—my waitress was friendly and the food arrived on time. The coffee was delicious. The only thing I would’ve liked was to add a salad, since my prosciutto sandwich was too salty and the chips didn’t balance out the saltiness well. I would definitely go back to try more from their menu and some of the drinks that also caught my attention.

I recently visited this coffee shop, and while it has a nice ambiance and decent coffee, my experience was quite mixed. In particular, the pricing and communication around my order were confusing. Initially, I was quoted $7.95 for my espresso, which I questioned because it seemed quite high. They then told me it would be $6.95. After some back-and-forth, it turned out they were including two double espressos instead of the single quad espresso I requested. So the actual price of my expresso was $5.95 actually. Thank you for the correction 🙏

We keep visiting this place quite frequently. Nice lattes and perfect ambiance of a breakfast place. Love their indoor as well as outdoor seating. Great breakfast as well - avocado toast, lemon ricotta pancake are good. Wish they had more vegetarian options. They do have substitutions for meat - but not really too many options. Service used to be wonderful as well except for the recent visit where the lady letting people in at the door was acting quite rude. Also, a bit pricy but the beautiful location and ambiance may make up for it.

High end food and experience. By far the BEST coffee I’ve ever had: I could taste subtle notes of aromatics, worth every penny. My meal was beautifully presented and delicious. Extra star for gluten free toast. A must go!

Bluestone Lane Cafe in downtown Los Altos is a gem for brunch lovers. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to relax. The food is really delicious, and I particularly miss their hamburger, which was second to none. I wish they would bring it back to the menu. However, the service quality could use a major improvement. Despite this, it's still a must-go place for a delightful brunch experience.

was super excited to find an Australian café and felt like I got a little piece of Melbourne right here in SF last week. Even more excited to hear they have another location down here! The coffee was delicious, and as Australians, we take our brunch seriously — this place definitely delivers.

This cafe is a gem. I wish i had found this place earlier. Their menu has so many options and you would want to taste each one them. We tried their mocha, sourdough chicken and avocado sandwich, peanut butter smoothie and the chicken quinoa bowl. And i must say all of them blew us out especially their sourdough sandwich.

It was a beautiful and cozy cafe I met in such beautiful weather. I was lucky that there weren't many people because it was early, and while eating a cup of coffee and brunch, there began to be more and more people with fame. Thank you very much for the kind server replacing cold coffee with hot coffee. I'm thinking of visiting again. I strongly recommend you to stop by.

A truly charming and intimate cafe with a warm, welcoming staff. The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and every bite is a revelation. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant tomato soup paired with an avocado and smoked salmon tartine, garnished with microgreens and sweet cherry tomatoes. Each element was delicately prepared and artfully plated, arriving at the table like a true masterpiece. ❤️

They have contactless menus and ordering system. The front of the house staff was friendly, giving me options for outdoor seating. Once we ordered via our phone, food arrived in about 20 mins. Which is not quick but the food was tasty. I assume given the current restaurant trend they are short staffed and I didn't mind waiting since the weather was nice out and I was enjoying catching up with my lunch buddy. Anyways, I ordered brekkie bowl with halumi and everything was all good except for fluffy scrambled eggs was more like omelette. The whole dish was delicious, enough fiber, protein, complex carbs in a perfect bowl. The dish was full of flavor, different textures, and all components worked well together. The eggs in the dish was pretty hefty and whole dish made me quiet full and satisfied. Will definitely visit again and will indulge myself with their pastries. Update: went in for breakfast and the food came out pretty quickly. Everything was tasty. The staff stopped wearing masks now the mandate has been dropped.

Great ambience - very open and airy. Service was quick once we got seated but service was touch and go once the place started getting busy. It got harder to flag a person down to put in our orders and to pay the bill. Aside from that, the food was great. We got the granola, a cookie and the latte flight of matcha, golden and beet. I highly recommend the latte flight which was surprisingly very good.

E
Elaine Wang

The food and drinks here were not bad, and the inside had a nice atmosphere. I got the BL burrito; maybe I'm just not a fan of most burritos but I felt it was just alright. I really liked the potato wedges though. My friend liked the sandwich and coffee. I was expecting the orange juice to taste fresher but it tastes like store bought orange juice to me. Avocado toast was pretty good.

S
Sam Faller

Best: Beautiful interior design, good coffee, good food, quiet Worst: at the specific time we visited they were a little flustered and disorganized: they said they didn't have a certain food item, but then served it; it took longer than we expected. Staff was courteous and helpful, just hurried. Food was great but nothing over-the-top incredible. Would recommend, would go back!

Very chill place to have branch, family and pets friendly. The food looks beautiful and fancy and tastes healthy. The Avocado smash toasted is good. I’ve been here twice and one thing I didn’t like is the long waiting time, we waited for like 30mins for food to be served.

Since I looked up Bluestone I was excited about it !! Went with my hubby for breakfast yesterday. I was concerned about how busy it might be based on what I read on the reviews and the wait time so I made a reservation. We were seated promptly 0 wait time. Also, it was a Wednesday so let’s keep that in mind. He ordered a baked egg plate that was unavailable so he ordered another one and it turned out DELICIOUS, I ordered the lemon ricotta pancake and loved it! Presentation was great and it was big enough that I needed a box. Wait time in order a hostess can notice you to take your order was a bit long, but service was good and hostesses are pleasant and friendly. The ambience of place was also very cozy. Would absolutely be back! Ah, and the green tea was so authentic that it tasted like the one I tried in Singapore before! Something that I do not find here much with the taste and quality! Hands down. 🙌🏻

Bluestone Lane has a beautiful atmosphere, and they even have their own parking lot. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, and the service is excellent. They have a wide variety of food options. I ordered the brekkie, but since I don’t eat mushrooms, I had to ask them to leave it out. It would’ve been nice if I could’ve swapped it for something else. I finished my meal pretty quickly and had originally planned to stay and work with my roommate for a while, but the tables were quite small, and the space was really noisy, so we didn’t stay long. Overall, though, it’s still a very pleasant spot.

G
Galina Chzhen

The ambiance is wonderful, the restaurant is bright and cozy. Drinks are great, they have offer plant-based substitutions. Some dishes can be modified to be vegan/friendly if you omit cheese in avocado toast or a salad, but nothing really substantial if you don’t eat meat. The Green Goddess salad that I had today had way too much dressing, even though another avocado dressing was on the side of the plate. The salad was spicy which came as a surprise to me. I don’t mind a little of kick, but dressing was overpowering. I was thinking to order a piece of bread but I could only order 2 pieces of bread for $7.50 with a small side of butter and jam… Took out 1 star from Service section because they didn’t clean out table for a really long time, I had to watch and hunt them down to ask to clean, and then to ask for a check, and we spent there a good 2 hours or so, they were not paying attention to our section, I only saw them seating a couple of new tables and taking care of their orders but didn’t pay attention to us. Pancakes that my friend ordered for her daughter looked scrumptious, I wish they offered at least one vegan pastry or dessert.

Bluestone Lane in Los Altos is an Australian-style café known for its modern, airy space and relaxed vibe, popular with locals for brunch and coffee meetups. The menu focuses on health-conscious all-day brunch dishes like Avocado Smash, granola, and lemon ricotta pancakes, alongside specialty espresso blends such as Maverick and Flagstaff. Housed in a restored former train station on 1st Street, it blends historic architecture with coastal Australian-inspired decor and bright, beachy interiors.

It’s a beautiful cafe. Patio and porch are lined with nice plants and flowers. Super picturesque. Inside is brightly lit and has an open feeling; not cramped. But service is slow and I’m glad someone told us to scan the QR and order that way as opposed to waiting for a server. Once we ordered that way, food and drinks were pretty fast. The food was delicious! At least the breakfast burrito and avocado toast were.

My mom and I visited on a Sunday around 12:30pm and had about a 20 minute wait before being seated at an outdoor table. I ordered the prosciutto and burrata sandwich and my mom ordered the warm chicken and ancient grains bowl. My sandwich was a huge portion and delicious, though very messy to eat. For anyone worried about spice, I didn't find the spicy jam to have any kick, and I have a very mild spice tolerance. I personally would have preferred fries over the crisps that were included, though it doesn't look like they serve any fries. My mom thought her grain bowl was just ok. They seemed a little understaffed as it was challenging to flag down wait staff outdoors for more water or the check. Plenty of parking in the surface lot across the street.

We bought some breakfast here. I like the fact the food isn't too salty and it's generally well season but the portion doesn't match its price and taste. My BI Burrito barely has any bacon, I am also not a big fan of the goat feta, and the size of the burrito is on the small end. The potota wedges are nice and crispy but it's not a place where I would come back for more. The atmosphere is great with enough parking and outdoor seating. It's probably a good place for a nice coffee chat with friends but not for the food only.

A lovely atmosphere to get together, but was disappointed that I spent time making a reservation, but arrived on time only to wait over 10 min for a table…hostess even admitted that they needed the party at my reserved table to leave. Kinda wondered what the point of a reservation is when the walk in party ahead of me were seated immediately. Getting server took forever, then they forget the coffee for one in our party. Food was decent but my fried egg on my B.L.A.T.E entree was only fried on one side and white runny on the other. Not what I think of as a fried egg. The veggie Breckie was a tad too salty for my friend. Everything looked beautiful and our mimosas were delicious! I wish the service was better so I could give them 4 stars.

Decent coffee, food took 3 tries to get it right (they ignored order instructions for allergies multiple times). Service was quite slow but very nice atmosphere.

F

The food here is overpriced—an avocado toast costs $18 after tax! I ordered the BL burrito and the BBQ brisket sandwich. The burrito lacked flavor, and the brisket sandwich was overly salty. I had purchased a significant amount of credit on the InKind app to use instead of paying with a credit card, and this restaurant is listed on InKind. However, when I tried to pay, they told me they don’t accept InKind payments in-store. If that's the case, they should remove themselves from the app. It was also very difficult to flag down a server. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and we won’t be coming back.

Saturday breakfast/brunch. Wait for 30-35 mins, no big deal. Sit down order in 90 seconds, wait 15 mins for water glasses to show up. Another 10 mins orange juice (with ice?) and beet latte shows up. No smoothies or other cold pressed juices available. “Team last night forgot to prep and we are understaffed”. Another 10 mins waiting for food… which is good we know. But this is not the kind of brunch anyone wants. Wait, wait more, wait even more, limited menu. Take reservations, don’t accept walkins, staff appropriately. The food here was actually great, and as someone who has been to Australia, I’d say their Aussie-themed breakfast and coffee menu were impressive. However, the lack of organization and service really impacted the experience. While the staff was friendly, the ordering system was chaotic. There was a QR code on the table to order, but a waitress also took our order and told us to use both methods. Our QR code order never went through, so we waited 20 minutes for coffee. Payment was just as confusing—we were first told we could pay at the table, but the waiter never came. Then we were told to use the QR code, but we ended up paying partially by QR code and partially at the register. On top of that, there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between the staff, as we saw multiple incorrect orders being brought to different tables, including ours. Also, my order came wrong, even though I repeated it twice, but at that point I just gave up and didn’t even mention it. Overall, this place has a lot of potential, but they really need to refine their ordering and payment system to create a smoother experience.

Overall mixed experience. Food and drinks seem nice overall, but a lot of mixups with orders here. We ordered blueberry pancakes. 20 mins later we asked the waitress to bring us an extra plate because we would like to share the dish. Then she bring our pancakes in a plastic box. We say we need them on a plate. Another 10-15 mins have passed with no news. When we went there to ask about pancakes, the waitress looked like she remembered about them and ran to the kitchen. The pancakes arrived promptly but they were cold. Pumpkin spice latte was quite nice, mushroom cheese sandwich was also great, pancakes were mixed. Ambience inside is good. Service is very mixed.

The only thing I have is the reception host. I don’t understand why customers with reservation cannot be seated if arriving early and when there’re empty tables. We have a party of 4, waited for 30 min and being specifically told we have to wait for a CERTAIN table in the patio, while there are two neighboring tables were empty and exactly the same. The ridiculous part was when our reserved time was close, the host sat us exactly at the neighboring table which has been empty for at least 20 minutes. I simply cannot understand the rationale and whatsoever just to make people wait. And they don’t really have a great waiting area at the entrance. And The host gave us poker face all the time. Food is great and I was impressed by the soft chili scramble and coffee selection. Table service is great too. Outdoor patio is dog friendly.

Beautiful cafeteria. Nice view if you’re sitting outside during summer. They use automatic ordering system which you scan the QR code and pay, and they gonna serve you the food afterwards. however, there might be a glitch. We ordered and we waited 30 minutes for the food. We asked the waitress and they say that working on it. I feel like they probably just cook it right away. Because my friends are almost done with their food. 🤣 The taste of food is about average, the look of the pancake is fantastic. They are dog friendly so you can bring your dog and sit outside.

The dining environment is fabulous. The dinning room offers great view and patio looks nice too. Lots of sunlight inside, clean and simple decor. Coffee tastes great, food looks great yet tastes average. Not much service per se, you order your food and check out online, add water yourself. Staff only brings in food and that's all. We made a reservation and arrived a few minutes earlier. They told us they'll kick out the party on our table so we could take it...hopefully they're only joking...

Update: depending on time of day and who is making your coffee your experience will vary. Go early, avoid later hours when they get busy, the wait times will be long as well (but in the peninsula, what isn't?) Food isn't terrible but has always been an area for improvement but after several bad chicken sandwiches, black stems and skins in avocado mash, and greasy oily limp bacon, we got tired of the combination of inconsistent food, long wait times, bitter or cold coffee depending. We have seen tables next to us send back orders of bacon, which we didn't have the energy to do after waiting 40 minutes for food. We mentioned the chicken breasts are poorly cooked so that they curl up into a roll, and slip right out of your bun like a rocket but after more than 5 such sandwiches we will pass. Previous: So glad we gave Bluestone another try! As some other reviews mention, on our first visit several months ago, the whole milk in the flat white was off, resulting in some unpleasant times, and the croissants are so-so. Given that it's walking distance from Draegers, we gave it another try while doing some shopping. It was great! Fresh bread, love the nutty sesame seeds, fresh avocado, real chicken chunks in the club sandwich, even the packaging is outstanding! The thoughtful containers secure their contents, the utensils are sized and shaped for practical use, and they include decent napkins without asking. Chicken and bacon quality could be better (piggy odor, thin, flabby, greasy, sometimes pale and sometimes burnt) but even so, this is some of the best (and consistently good) food we have had in the Peninsula. We eat here regularly, usually to-go. Good to know: Service and coffee is very good. Their cup of 'magic' is magical! If eating-in, do wear warm clothing. Inside seating feels like outside seating, we have to keep our coats on. Regarding price, I think the cost of a flat white and the size is the average for the area, and $15.50 for the avocado toast, while a bit steep is unfortunately the norm in the bay area, and this is some very good quality avocado toast. (Updated review:). Depending on your barista, your coffee experience will vary, (like The IT Crowd's Jen and Roy's experience) but still a solid go-to for us. A favorite of ours, (posted additional pic) the chicken club has changed their bread. From the toothsome sourdough to a soft brioche? Bun. We preferred the sourdough. Bun is very soft and something we associate with burger buns, not Club sandwiches. The bun is a bit too small in size as well, not fitting the chicken as well. Bacon and chicken quality has improved immensely. No warmed over flavor in the chicken, no piggy bacon odor or flabby greasiness, but crisp and well drained. Funky water smell and taste from glasses and bottles still an issue. Still cold inside, wear a coat, bring your scarves.

The atmosphere was very charming, and esthetically perfect for brunch or a good book and coffee. I ordered a mocha which was amazing and potato wedges which were delicious. Lemon Ricotta pancakes were alright and on the dry side. Service was ok. We asked for share plates and ended up getting them from the front desk ourselves. Felt mostly ignored by staff. Also weird that when you pay/tip on an app before you are served so you don’t really know what service you’re going to get when you tip. Overall this place has lots of potential.

The place is quite hyped locally but I can't say my experience was better than average. Starting with the pros, the patio seating and vibe outside (especially in fall season) is quite nice and service is generally attentive. However, the food is standard fare, mild/bland flavours, and overall unexciting. The pastries are worse and coffee (of the few times I have tried) is burnt and milk is flat after a minute of arriving at your table. Their salad bowls might fare better than other choices or some of the smaller portion sandwiches (anything else is a lot of bread and little of fun parts).

I decided to give this place a try based on the promising reviews of its breakfast offerings. While the service was commendable with attentive servers, I found the food to be rather mediocre. As a coffee enthusiast, I was particularly disappointed by the overly sour taste of the coffee. On a positive note, the bright and pleasant design of the establishment added to the overall ambiance. However, I would like to bring to the manager's attention the issue with the restrooms, as it was unclear whether they were occupied or not, causing inconvenience for customers who had to repeatedly push the doors to check for availability. Very annoying.

It looks better in photos. This was an interesting experience. I was excited to try based off of photos. Service here was good until we were seated then they became very aloof and difficult to flag down. This was our first time dining here. We were given paper menus, then noticed there was also a QR code on the table. We noticed that the menu provided on the QR was much smaller than what was on the paper menu. It took multiple attempts to flag down a server before we were noticed. We had to ask for clarification on what menu items were available. They do run out of options, both drink and food, so checking the QR code will give you the most accurate menu available. Their digital menu is not a great user experience. The menu pages are finicky easily flipping from category to category rather than letting you scroll down the page. When we did receive our food, everything looked a little sad. The flavors were okay, but the portions are pretty small especially for the price.

We’ve had multiple mixed experiences here. Want to like it for the food. We’ve had times when they were out of the stated side and they swapped it without notification. Today’s side was lukewarm served with hot main. So odd. Service is always bad. Friendly employees, but slow and/or forgetful and never thinking ahead. Today, we were seated. Zero wait staff to be seen after 5-10 minutes. We placed our order online. Waiter came up after I submitted the order. Said he’d bring us water, but never did. We ended up getting our own cups and water after our food was delivered. So, food served, broke down and grabbed our own cups and water, halfway through our meal when our drink orders arrived. Such a hot mess. We keep thinking if this many people come here maybe we just got a bad or off day. Glad I paid online, so we could just leave and not wait for our check.

Mixed experiences! I went 2 days ago and my burrito was excellent, the staff was awesome and my latte was delicious. I returned today and my pancakes were dry and had old mushy berries. My breakfast bowl is very sad- half the spinach is brown / possibly rotten and the avocado is covered in brown spots. Nowhere close to worth $40 after tax and tip. I want to love this place since the vibes are great but debating if I should give it another shot! Ps the bowl pictured did look slightly better before I picked at it, but not by a lot.

I had suggested this place for a post-pandemic reunion brunch with friends and let’s just say I could have provided better options. We weee out here for Sunday brunch at about noon. They weren’t that busy - quite a few empty tables even after you consider pandemic seating options and we had to wait for 40 minutes! You do get in, order on the app- which is a standard experience till you get to the “Claim my coffee” option. Be prepared to not just make an account after navigating the clunky browser experience , but store you card information- and who even knows if that was the last step because I gave up after that- all this for coffee. Not worth it. The only saving grace for the terrible service experience was the food and I didn’t know if it was that good or I was just super hungry at that point

Update: Service was terrible. We waited an hour after being seated to get our food today. And on top of that, 1. Our waiter forgot to bring us water 2. Then he asked if we were ready for the check when they hadn’t even brought our food out lol 3. They messed up our order Pancakes were dense and not worth the price. Great place for brunch! Their avocado smash is great, and their outdoor space is just as pretty as the decor indoors.

Not my first time in the restaurant. But this time I had a very disappointing experience. I waited over 15 minutes before anyone came to take my order. By the time my food finally arrived, it was already cold. On top of that, I waited for my water for 20 mins and 35 minutes for my coffee which only came after I had completely finished eating. Throughout the visit, it was nearly impossible to find anyone to ask questions or get assistance. The lack of service and attention made the whole experience frustrating and unsatisfactory.

My number one complaint about this place is that service moves extremely slowly. Once the food comes out, it’s great. I appreciate that they have gluten-free options. But I ordered one breakfast item and a matcha latte via the QR code. It’s been 30 minutes and not even the matcha latte has been delivered to me. I’m eating solo so it’s not even a timing with a larger party issue. If you come here, make sure you have 2 hrs to spare unless you want to rush eating your meal.

Disappointing. We arrived on a Sunday 8:45am for our reservation; there were maybe 5 tables with people, so not busy. We were not greeted upon arrival, then when the woman approached us we could barely hear her, she walked away with menus and we assumed to follow her. The service was bad to say the least. Food was ok, seemed fresh and tasted good but nothing crazy. Coffee was pretty good. Bathrooms were literally disgusting, so so dirty like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. The place is nice but I wouldn’t recommend it unfortunately.

We ordered food with scanning the QR code on the table and it required to pay to place the order. Which restaurant asked dine-in customers to pay before serving the food? Anyway my friends and I paid. When my food was brought to the table, the runner just put the food and left, but I noticed the bacon in my dish is missing. So I asked the waitress if there’s supposed to be bacon and then she said they ran out of bacon. No one ever communicated with us if we wanted to change to something else or get refund until I asked the waitress……

I came today with my friend at 4:40pm to have something to drink and one of the ladies told us they can't give us a seat, I told her we didn't want anything hot just a smoothie but she still refused to give us service, I ask her at what time is the last reservation and she said each day is diferent and they can stop seating people half hour before they close, I felt so dissappointed because she refused giving us a cold drink with 20 minutes before closing. If it says you close at 5pm for public that is the time you should stop giving service and food but if you are going to refuse us 20 minutes before the closing change the time to 4:30pm, if employees are suppose to leave by 5pm and you stop service 30 minutes before you have to update the times for the public.

Got to this place early in the morning. We where the only people there for most of our visit. However the service was so bad you would assume that it was packed they couldn't keep a single order straight brought out small coffees instead of the large coffee that was ordered. I asked for eggs bacon and a half an avocado. They said they couldn't do that. They had to put it all on a large slice of toast for what ever reason. What I got was paper thin bacon decent eggs and some smashed avocado ( it's basically guac not a half like I asked) on toast. No spoon for the coffee no sugar the water was never refilled. We also ordered the croissant sandwich with the chipotle aoli on the side, of course it came slathered in the sandwich. Once the meal was over and we where ready to pay our bill had random items that we had to get corrected. Just overall a horrible experience.

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. The server was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout. •    My coffee was served cold. •    The water they brought out had visible impurities floating in it. •    I ordered a chicken sandwich without shallots, but they served it with shallots anyway. When I pointed it out, the server dismissed me and claimed it wasn’t his fault. •    On top of that, he was visibly frustrated, broke multiple plates at different tables, and made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. Poor service, careless mistakes, and unhygienic standards made it a complete waste of my money and time.

Basically, the whole place in a chaos. We had a reservation, but we still stood around for nearly 20 minutes just waiting to be seated. When they finally took us to our table, it wasn’t even cleared yet, so we had to wait another 20 mins while they tidied up. And that was just the start. Ordering was slow and all over the place—like our cold brew took 30mins that our food actually arrived first. We kept trying to flag down servers who would say “sure” and then vanish. Even paying the bill turned into a whole extra waiting game we have to call the bill for 3 times before it finally arrives. And to top it off, they ran out of water glasses, so we had to remind them multiple times that we needed enough for everyone. In short, all these little details just showed how totally uncoordinated everything was.

OK food, terrible service. 1. No hostess and service at all 2. Cups are so dirty. 3. We had a reservation, and waited extra 20 mins for them to clean the table. When we get seated, the table is still dirty.🤮 4. Pick up the coffee yourself, they won’t deliver it to your table. 5. Pay the tip when u order the food!

I’m not sure what sort of operating procedure you’re telling your staff, but it makes absolutely no sense I just wanna order a coffee and sit down and have a quick conversation with some people, but the server makes me put my name on the list and he says the wait time is 45 minutes The patio is completely empty … I understand it’s cold and everyone wants to sit inside but I still have to wait 45 minutes for a table on this patio 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think I’ll just help myself to a seat

Got advertised to this place through the InKind app for a meal and coffee. The app made it seem like in-store payment with InKind was supported, but when I went to pay, they said they had no idea what that was and didn’t support it. Pretty bad experience overall. Service was disappointing — they brought water but no glasses, served my coffee in a regular glass even though I asked for it to go, and the waitress didn’t seem very attentive. The menu on Google Maps is outdated — no fried chicken sandwich anymore, and many other items are no longer available. On top of that, parking is very limited and food mediocre. Would not recommend based on my visit.

I have no idea how this place is even still operating. We stood at the front door for over 15 minutes just to be acknowledged and added to the waitlist — and this was on a weekend morning when half the restaurant was completely empty. No greeting, no communication, just staff walking around pretending we didn’t exist. When we were finally seated, we were given the tiniest table imaginable — for three people. We could barely fit our plates, let alone enjoy our meal. And even after all that waiting, we sat there with no water for another 20 minutes until the server finally noticed. It felt like we were invisible. But the worst part? You’re required to place your order AND pay — including tips — before they even start serving you. So essentially, you are tipping for service you haven’t received yet… and as it turns out, won’t receive at all.

Large amounts of mud in sandwich greens and poor follow-up. We had lunch at BlueStone Lane in Los Altos earlier today. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Grilled Cheese, and my friend had the Chicken Avocado Toastie. While eating, I noticed a gritty texture that I first thought was coarse salt from the chips. Halfway through, I lifted the toast to eat it open-faced, and was horrified to find large amounts of mud coating the arugula. Every leaf was covered with muddy clumps. We checked my friend's sandwich too and found the same thing. Her dish wasn't even supposed to include arugula according to the menu, which is also concerning, what if someone had a food allergy? After serving the food, no one checked on us, the ketchup I asked for never arrived. We had to ask the waitress who's walking by, when she saw the plate, she said "eww" and took it away. About ten minutes later another staff member came over and said they were "looking into it," explaining that they "had recently changed produce suppliers and the new vendor hadn't told them the arugula needed to be washed"??? I thought any competent restaurant can tell when vegetables are dirty and need to be washed, shouldn't rely on a vendor to say so. We waited about another 15 minutes with no update. They eventually comped the meal, but the attitude was distant. To be honest, even if they paid me, I wouldn't want to eat mud. Roughly ten minutes after leaving, I started to feel continuous stomach pain and diarrhea. It's been eight hours now, and I'm still having the symptoms.I rarely ever get sick from food, the last time I had something like this was two years ago.. The restaurant was fairly busy, with around twenty tables coming and going while we were waiting. I'm not sure how long ago they switched vendors, but if the greens have been unwashed during that entire time, many customers could have eaten muddy and dirty produce without realizing it. I don't usually post reviews, but I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and ensures their ingredients are properly cleaned going forward.

I had one of the worst brunch experiences ever. The matcha pancakes were nearly impossible to cut, and the sauce was just a thick layer of matcha powder. The pancakes were overcooked and hard, lacking the fluffy texture I expected. They tasted like something my kids might whip up—definitely not what I was hoping for.

While eating breakfast, we saw a large rat right in front of us. It was casually roaming around the trash area and eating leftovers, like it was completely comfortable there. We couldn’t stop thinking about how many more might be in the kitchen. I will never come back. Hygiene comes first, and this was an unacceptable experience.
