Opinions de The Good Salad Los Altos
I recently had the pleasure of eating at The Good Salad, and it was well worth the wait! The restaurant has finally opened its doors at the Los Altos State Street market, and I couldn't be happier with this new addition to the neighborhood. From the moment I walked in, the excellent service stood out. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel right at home. But what truly stole the show was the delicious salad. I especially enjoyed the Sweet Heat dressing in my salad, which brought a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness to the fresh greens. And let's not forget their delectable glaze – it truly made the meal a memorable experience. Not only was the food delightful, but the chance to chat with the owner, Sanad, added a special touch to my visit. I had met Sanad before at the Santa Clara location, and he continues to be a fantastic host, always hospitable and courteous. He excitedly shared their big plans for the Los Altos location, which got me even more eager to return in the future. I have been waiting for The Good Salad to open in Los Altos, and I must say it was well worth the anticipation. With its healthy options and delicious offerings, The Good Salad is a delightful haven of goodness in the heart of Los Altos. I can't wait to visit again and try more of their mouthwatering creations!
Couldn’t be happier with the salad and my whole experience here. The customization was amazing, ingredients were top notch, and loved how much flavor everything had. Added plus how reasonable the prices are for a healthy option. I’m an avid customer of their first location and let me tell you - they didn’t skip a beat in making this spot just as good.
Good portions, great flavor! Samurai Steak was very filling and full of good stuff. I would take this over Sweetgreen any day.
Everything was so fresh! We ordered the Cali Ceezer, Samurai Steak, and a custom salad. All were thoughtfully prepared to-go and delicious. Their dressings and special salad glaze stand out. 4 stars for service because they forgot to include the homemade focaccia bread but everything else was perfect.
The Good Salad has excellent salads! You can pick one of their featured salads or have them make a custom one to suit you. Excellent fresh ingredients and lots of variety. To reduce waste/trash, best to order and eat in the food court with reusable bowls and utensils instead of disposable takeout containers. The food court area is clean, spacious, and well lit. We enjoyed the Samurai Steak Salad and Cali Ceezer Salad.
I was in Los Altos with my friends, and we stopped by State Street Market for lunch. I decided to try the Samurai Steak Salad from The Good Salad, and it did not disappoint. It featured Certified Angus Beef Steak topped with Dynamite Mayo and Roasted Sesame Seeds, served over a mix of Organic Spring Greens, Chopped Romaine, Diced Persian Cucumber, Shredded Carrots, Roasted Peanuts, Sliced Scallions, and Edamame. The salad was finished with The Good Glaze and a House Sweet Sesame Dressing on the side. Every bite was incredible—the dressing perfectly complemented the fresh, flavorful ingredients. Hands down, one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back! 📍 The Good Salad inside State St. Market, Los Altos, CA.
Located inside a food court in downtown Los Altos with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and public restrooms. You order off a tablet and can customize your salad any way you want - if you remove items from their signature salads, it actually decreases the price. I tried a samurai steak salad and loved it. The greens were high quality and fresh and all the toppings went well with the salad. The steak was well seasoned too. I would come back if I was looking for a quick and delicious salad.
Excellent salads in an upscale food court. I’m definitely stopping back here again when driving up South Bay. You can make your own salads, and mine made it up to the city without being disrupted.

Please encourage putting a larger serving of chicken. I am student and really appreciate the fact that there is a healthy option for Halal food but I really wish the portion servings for the protein would be larger 🙏🏽
Writing this review after finishing the Samurai Steak and I’m truly blown away. This is one of the best salads I’ve ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors work very well together. I’m usually very picky about sauces so I appreciate them being on the side by default. The signature glaze is a unique touch. The service was friendly and the location is inside a more upscale food court in Los Altos. Will definitely be returning soon! This place is a must try if you’re in the area and looking for a healthy and scrumptious bite to eat.
Every salad freak knows how disappointing it is to get a mediocre salad that’s on the menu as an afterthought. At The Good Salad, you’ll finally be satisfied. The produce is very fresh and there are interesting ingredients and dressings to choose from. Each salad is a full meal. I would say this place caters to folks who like balsamic vinegar and dressings that have a slight sweetness to them. They don’t mix your salads for you, but if you get it dine-in, the bowl is big enough to mix it yourself. If you get it to-go, the container isn’t roomy enough to shake your salad up (but this is a good thing, because the entire container is filled with salad).
Delish! Their Date Delight salad is my favorite at The Good Salad. Their ingredients are fresh, colorful and their dressings are flavorful especially the Good Glaze (a pomegranate infused balsamic vinegar reduction). It's a hearty sized bowl for when you're hungry and nice to share fresh with the family. Love their location at State Street Market in Los Altos. I recently enjoyed this salad when they catered a Los Altos Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting event - Delish! Keep doing Good!
I highly recommend ordering through the app instead of to a live person so that you get what you want, especially if there are any omissions or substitutions added. If you’re a first timer, the staff isn’t super helpful in conveying the concept of the vendor. I went to the location at State Street Market in downtown Los Altos where it is always busy, but it’s nice to combine the options with other vendor stalls. The portion felt smaller than the last two times I’ve been here, but it was still delicious.
Incredible salad. I'm a tough food critic and I judged their very average menu signage, figuring I'd get an average run-of-the-mill salad. I was wrong. I inhaled my salad and thought about going back for a second! Their dressings are perfectly tuned and delicious and I'm now inspired while making my own salads. Great stuff. The Good Glaze is gold. 🪄
Can’t recommend this place enough. First off, the salad was fresh and flavorful. I came for dinner and the abundance of toppings and the general size made it a perfect meal, especially paired with a piece of their focaccia (pro tip: scrape your dressing container clean with the focaccia!). I love how you can customize every aspect. As a vegetarian, I wanted one of their signature salads that comes with chicken. I could easily remove it and their system reduces the price! 🤯 This was true for any substitutions, making this by far the most affordable meal salad I’ve had. Can’t recommend this place enough. Its location is also great, tucked in a building with good vibes and other eateries. And their staff was friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. I definitely plan to come back!
The salad perfectly matches to its name! I really enjoyed my Cali Caesar salad with the amazing pesto dressing. It is really hard to find a place nowadays which gives you fresh ingredients with full of flavor and healthy food. Keep it up 👍🏼

We get Blazing Birds all the time from the State Street Market location. Always fresh and filling.

Ordered from Uber eats so I can't comment on the service or atmosphere, but the salad was a bowl of springtime on a rainy day. Crisp fresh lettuce, perfectly portioned toppings and a delicious grape vinaigrette on the side. Beats these other pretentious "salad designer" restaurants by a mile. Bravo, The Good Salad!

Much better in person than to go, portions alter greatly depending on which you do
I got there a few minutes before they closed and they refused to make me a salad to go. That made no sense . I asked why and they said they had put away their spoons. I asked him if there was anyone else who would be willing to help me, he said no. Bad service.
Marketing of the place makes it look good on pictures, but in reality the food does not meet expectations. Portion size is very small and prices are very high for a salad. They limit the options of ingredients you can take. Also the dressing comes in a package which makes it seem they bought from a wholesale instead of doing it themselves. If you want to try a healthy option, try Sajj or Hummus Republic but not this place. It is located in a food court, there are more food options to choose from. Do not try this. Not worth it.
Paid extra for heavy greens multiple times this week and given less than the normal standard amount of greens. This is all toppings with <15 leaves and plenty of empty vertical space. even if you pay extra for larger portion, they just consistently this week give you smaller than the normal sized portion
