$200+ Omakase with 10 exquisite courses — each piece is a true work of art that melts in your mouth. Top-notch quality and attentive service. Must make appointment. Highly recommend Hiroshi to everyone! 🍣✨

As someone who travels to Japan often, I can honestly say this place serves the most authentic Japanese quality and service in the Bay Area! Chef Jason is incredible—not only does he make amazing sushi, but he also shares fascinating insights and stories behind every dish. We had such an enjoyable and memorable evening with Chef Jason! 🍣👏

Very decent Omakase. Chefs are very friendly and very generous with the sushi. Could do better with the appetizers. Overall highly recommended right now since it’s still fairly easy to get a reservation here unlike many other omakase restaurants in the Bay Area. Besides a bar that can sit 10 customers, they also have 3 tables for slightly larger groups.

I have been here twice, and must I say. By far my most favorite omakase style restaurant to date. The ambiance has not let me down and they have been consistent both times. I appreciate the thought behind each cutlery, plate, cup, ingredient used in each course. Not to mention they all pair perfectly with each other. Leaving you full but not disgustingly so. Would love to come again for a third time with my date.

Definitely the best sushi restaurant I have ever had in South Bay. The restaurant space is very ambient and cozy. The seats are separated into two parts: the bar and tables. Tables are for more people. I went alone so I sat at the bar. One of the advantages of sitting at the bar is that you can watch the chefs closely. The ingredients they use are at the top most level. You can have wagyu, uni, caviar, and various fish. Each dish is designed carefully with a balanced flavor, especially the sushi. The chef would remind you which shouldn't dip the soy sauce. In general, there's nothing I can complain about. The service is also at the top level. The set of dishes definitely reflects the price you pay. I wish I were richer so I could come here more often.

One of the best authentic Japanese sushi restaurants in Los Altos, and even the Bay Area. If you’re looking for an authentic omakase experience, Hiroshi should be on your list. The dining experience is intimate and provides top quality fish flown from Japan. Highly recommend, as the fish was buttery, smooth and delicious.

The first time we came here the experience was underwhelming, however Hiroshi invited us back and we had an incredible dinner. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and sitting at the Omakase counter was an awesome and special experience. Also highly recommend their house sake and doing the wagyu add-on. A very authentic omakase experience of high quality! Thank you for a great dinner - we hope to be back soon!

Jason is amazing. I will never forget the nishin nigiri he made tonight. It’s so unique and well seasoned. Definitely above the average among omakase restaurants in Bay Area

⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ Hiroshi in Los Altos is a culinary discovery and beautiful adventure that deserves every accolade it receives. From the moment you step through its doors, you're transported into a world of elegance and sophistication. The high-end design sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The service at Hiroshi is exemplary, with attentive staff catering to your every need with grace and professionalism. The chefs, hailing from Japan, bring a level of expertise and authenticity that elevates the dining experience to new heights. Their meticulous preparation and presentation of each dish showcase the finest quality ingredients, particularly the impeccable selection of fresh fish. What truly sets Hiroshi apart is the omakase experience. Each plate is a work of art, carefully crafted to tantalize the senses and delight the palate. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the meal, from the unique and beautiful presentation to the exquisite flavors that dance across your taste buds. I recommend to take an omakase with caviar ♥️ While the restaurant offers a great selection of red wines, it would be fantastic to see a white Burgundy selection added to complement the delicate flavors of the sushi. Nonetheless, the dining experience remains unparalleled. Conveniently, Hiroshi offers free street parking, and for those seeking additional convenience, a parking lot is located nearby. Overall, Hiroshi is undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in the USA, and a must-visit for anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey♥️

Dining at Hiroshi is both a delicious and artistic experience. Their craft and attention to detail shine through every aspect, from the pristine quality of their fish to the artistry of their tableware, like the Edo Kiriko glasses. Every piece of sushi tastes authentic, rich and perfectly balanced. I look forward to visiting this place again.

From the moment you step into the restaurant, you can feel the meticulous attention to detail in its design—a feeling that lasts throughout the entire dining experience. It was truly a flawless two-hour journey. The fresh and luxurious ingredients sourced directly from Japan deliver perfectly balanced flavors to your palate. The sushi, in particular, surpassed even the ones I’ve had at the finest restaurants in Japan.

I was skeptical with the recent negative reviews. However, we decided to try it anyway. A lot of the reviews seem to be for the 20+ course which might have been underwhelming at its price point. We tried the 11 course (mostly fish) menu and loved it. It was fresh and flavorful and service was at a good pace. I did notice the pace of the higher course meals be a bit slower. So maybe try the 11 course and you might like it! special shoutout to our chef who put so much effort into crafting each piece. We were there Oct 1 night.

Lost in the experience and ambiance. Food (10), atmosphere (10), service (10). I took my wife here for our 20th anniversary and we had the best date in our lives. We did not want the night to end. I’m lucky Hiroshi nailed each course, with expert performance by the chef, attentive care by the staff and noted hospitality. Service was excellent and on point but not overbearing. Lisa lead us through the experience and menu which made the evening all the more special.

Words can't describe, what an amazing experience. Was a 17 course meal of sushi. Each course was fully explained and one chef cooks it all!! Simply anazing!!

Was here for a casual dinner for party of 4 on a Friday night, and the place was surprisingly empty (we had to make reservations in advance). Decor was sparse modern and zen, the sushi bar could seat around 8 people and there were various tables for 2-4 people each. Attentive service. The omakase was good, well-paced and portions were just the right size. Food quality was excellent - the sushi courses came towards the end. Great experience overall and probably one of the best in the Bay Area.

Hiroshi is special, but in a different way than you'd expect a premiere upscale omakase joint. The atmosphere isn't ultra modern but progressive, and the continuous flowing water on the wall behind the chef delivers a sense of zen that's not easily found in small and personal omakase spots. It's airy. It's refreshing. And this is where you start worrying whether this isn't about the food. The main chef definitely wants to make a statement. And the story he wants to tell comes through somewhat decently. The simplicity in his creations at times even feels a bit too monotonous but the point is made well. The slightly fermented style of the fish is often balanced with shiso leaves that is layered between the fish and the rice. And the frequent use of salt instead of soy sauce also brings in a different angle. However, my only nit picking here is the similarity of each piece. Yes, I get the various fish and their different texture and flavors. But when shiso leaves are always the counterweight, your palate gets "used" to this. All the nigiris are top notch. The appetizers were a bit surprisingly "weak" considering the price point. Weak as in a sense of a bit on the mundane side. Nothing wrong with this. Accentuated the ingredients. Again, the chef really was trying to say something but somehow he was shy. The main otoro and the uni were fabulous, but somehow failed to absolutely blow your mind. Again, amazing creations and taste. But the price point makes you expect something spectacular. There's a build up throughout the night, and the highlight doesn't deliver to the anticipation. Tamago could've been a bit more delicate. Again, I'm just blowing fine dust off the pristine countertop. The ending with the vanilla pudding and hojicha was a touch of mastery. Nothing more here. Absolutely delightful. Hiroshi is an experience. My ask to the chef is to be bold and bring in a bit more twist and turns into the journey. He's got the skills and the ingredients. It falls short of a Michelin star and I don't expect them to gain one with the current line up. But they absolutely have potential.

This place started with a 3/5 in my book. No cancellation reservation, and made a point to email us about to be on time (early actually). When we got there 15 minutes early, we were informed by the guests waiting around, not a host, that they were 1) running behind schedule 2) would probably commence 10 minutes later then the promised time, 3) and no clear reason was given. We were taken in 15 minutes after our reservation time. No apology from the host, and was ushered to our seats. For the omakase experience, I base my experience on two things: how well they fry things - tempura, and how good their bloody fish are - mackerel. I will say their fried stuff was good, for the mackerel, let's just say I can still taste the rawness. I enjoyed my sushi chef - Jason, experience. But they got to get a new host. Charging premium $500 a dinner? Cannot be just being comfortable from sourcing your fish from Japan - do something. Serve it well.

Tried the 17-course omakase ($278). Service was quick and the presentation was lovely. Some dishes like the Wagyu and shrimp katsu sandwich stood out, and the dessert course. But overall sushi quality was average for the price.

A little surprised by all the high ratings here because I was a bit disappointed by this omakase. For such a high price tag, the sushi did not give me that wow factor and we left very hungry. Decided to panic try this restaurant because it has always been on my list and apparently prices will be going up 20% due to tariffs? For $370 pp (after tax & mandatory 20% gratuity on tock), I expected way more. You get 4 appetizers and 9-10 pieces of nigiri. The only good appetizer was the Wagyu sando which completely melted in your mouth. It was just enough for one bite but it was a VERY delicious bite. My crab chawanmushi had crab shells in it. The duck with eggplant dish ... duck was inedible. It was so stringy and dry. The amaebi with ikura appetizer didn't taste good. The shrimp had a bitter after taste. So that's 1/4 so far. Off to a bad start. Moving onto the sushi- first fish course was 2 pieces of sea bream sashimi? The sauces they used were SO salty. The sauce to fish ratio was completely off because it only needed one drop of sauce. Instead the chefs used a whole dollop on a thin piece of fish. The sauces overpowered the fish and almost made it inedible due to the saltiness. As for the nigiri, although fish was fresh, i can't help feeling it was so small. My uni was very briney and a little bitter which means it's not that fresh? The whole dinner also seemed kind of rushed because i blinked and we were on the tamago (last course) already. The tamago was nothing to write home about, cant say it was great texture or flavorful. I also can't believe they didn't serve a scallop piece or end with a toro handroll! Any handroll for that matter. For $370, I could've had way better sushi in San Francisco. You are paying for the ambiance and not the food. Definitely will not be returning.
