First time at Alcove did not disappoint! We got the Alcove Benedict, Avocado Toast and Crab toast - all were excellent. We also got a pistachio pastry that was SO good. Order at the counter and food was brought out within 10 minutes. Great spot!

This place has been here forever and it’s still a go to if you’re looking for that Al fresco parent or date friendly retreat with California fresh type menu and decadent pastries. Cheers

Alcove was great. It’s got a nice environment and the workers are so friendly and helpful. I do wish that they’d provide a number for your table when you order coffee/sweets because the area to wait near the register is quite small but manageable. We got the chocolate chip cookie (vegan and dairy) and both were nice and warm. Coffee was also quite decent. I really felt for the workers as many customers seem to have forgotten basic manners but they all had smiles on their faces. We didn’t get to try any food but I do recommend for a late night dessert or coffee :)

I love places that feel like someone’s home was turned into a restaurant! The Alcove is an amazing place to spend time and I’m super glad I discovered it. Jeremy made my matcha latte perfectly. I’m glad they have coconut milk as a non-dairy option for drinks. I ordered the short rib sandwich and substituted the side dish for coconut rice. All in all, this is a gem of an establishment. I love the atmosphere, down to how nice the restrooms are — with lots of space and a little table to put down your purse. This place is great for any time of day and any type of meal. They have a full alcohol bar, a full cafe bar, and a restaurant and bakery. You really can’t go wrong. I would definitely come back!

One of my Favorite Places to Eat!!!!! Not only do they offer one of the coolest and most diverse Desert selection, but everything is freshly made. Their breakfast is absolutely Phenomenal. We recently had lunch here and it was delicious. I love the ketchup. I know that sounds weird, but the ketchup is incredible. lol . And their fries and the salad we had was really great. Love the atmosphere , great for girls lunch and perfect for dinner date

Tons of room! Awesome food selection! The potatoes were amazing! I got their breakfast burrito; it was a 6/10—good, but the black beans kinda overpowered it. My friend had the short rib Benedict, and she said it was good, but the potatoes were the best part of both meals. We skipped drinks, but the ones other people had looked great. I'd totally go back if I'm ever in the area.

Alcove Cafe & Bakery is a true gem in Los Angeles. I loved it so much that I visited twice within four days! The restaurant is set up in a charming old house that they’ve converted into a cozy and inviting space. The patio is lovely, the staff is friendly, and the service is unbelievably quick. On my first visit, I tried the Omelette plate with a mushroom and chicken sausage omelette served with potatoes. It was simple yet perfectly executed. We also had the Veggie Burrito, which was superb. It had a great combination of eggs, veggies, and beans, served with pico de gallo and sour cream—delicious and satisfying. On my second visit, I had the Jerk Chicken Bowl, and it was amazing. The mildly spicy jerk chicken paired with caramelized banana, mango salsa, and coconut rice created an explosion of flavors. Every bite was a delight. We also tried the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, which were subtle and balanced, with the pecan butter taking the dish to the next level. Overall, Alcove Cafe & Bakery serves an incredible brunch with everything feeling homemade, organic, and fresh. You can tell they use locally sourced ingredients. They offer valet parking, but it’s easy to find metered street parking nearby. Highly recommended!

The vibes here are immaculate. I’ve been here for brunch/lunch as well as for dinner. A wide selection to choose from (they have gluten free/vegetarian option), the food is prepared well & tastes great, very sweet staff (I came for my birthday and they brought out gluten free goodies with candles), highly recommend.

Cute brunch spot on a Sunday. A few famous faces, but the staff did get my order wrong twice(I ordered the short rib but got the salmon poached egg combo, they apologised and gave me a free dessert when I thought it was too much hassle to change. It was expensive for what it was, but there was a cute guy I liked there, so didn't mind too much.

The atmosphere was very chill. The decor very cute and chic. Having breakfast after a long hike was just what we needed. Avocado toast was delicious, but my steel cut oatmeal looked amazing. The presentation was outstanding, but it came out very thick and not hot. Not sure if that was the intent but either way it tasted very good.

Alcove is a lovely cafe. At first I thought its proximity to the street would be a distraction but the greenery and walls provide a lovely facade. Waiting in line to order and then getting a table from waitstaff I feel is a good balance to deal with the high load of customers and limited seating. While my party had to wait to order we had plenty of time to peruse the menu and the ambience of the smalls front patio was a delight. Once we had ordered we were escorted to a table with no wait. I ordered a Caramel latte which was quiet good and the short rib benedict which I found to be excellent. I am curious to come back and try more of their menu but perhaps at a time of the day when they are hopefully not as busy.

My niece picked this place to have dinner. They don’t have a huge menu, but there’s something for everyone. I enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrees. Both the fish and chicken were too breaded for my liking. The sauce they served with the chicken was very good though. The cornbread pairing with the turkey chili was good. I didn’t get to try their cocktails since I had to go to work after, but the choices were numerous. I would’ve like to try their desserts too, but we were already full. Not much seating inside if you exclude the bar section. The outdoor seating was very pleasant. No dedicated parking, but they did have a valet available right in front. There’s metered parking on the street or you can park for free around the block in the residential area.

The patio was amazing, but overall this was a solid three-star place. The food was average, and aside from the patio, nothing really stood out. The tables and furniture felt quite old and scratched, which took away from the experience.

Truly horrible meal. The lettuce wasn’t fresh, salad overall flavorless and for $22–yikes. The breakfast biscuit sandwich completely fell apart. We’ve never done this before but we left after barely finishing the meal. This place has gone downhill and is phoning it in with the beautiful location and atmosphere.
