This was my second visit to the restaurant. Though I eat a lot of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food, I am not as familiar with Indian cuisine. I ordered a shrimp plate from the lunch menu. The shrimp were large and well prepared and accompanied by a bowl containg type of lentil soup and another containing potato chunks immersed in a soupy broth. There was also a salad covered in an oil and vinegar dressing whose consistency was thick and extremely flavorful. There was also a small bowl containing a green sauce that had a hint of mint in it. Garlic nan was provided and while it remained warm, was extremely good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I came here with some friends for dinner and we each ordered something, but shared it like a family style meal. I would recommend doing this since this was the best way to enjoy a variety of items from their menu! My favorite item was the chicken tikki masala. The sauce was so creamy and flavorful. I highly recommend it!! The dish also pairs perfectly with their freshly made and warm garlic naan bread. Our server was amazing. She was super friendly and knowledgeable in her recommendations. We all enjoyed our dinner and will be back!
Wonderful, wonderful restaurant with some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I eat here often (even though I live in Highland Park) because it makes me so happy. The staff is very friendly and amenable to requests (gluten-free papadam instead of naan, for example). A friend of mine and I eat here every time she visits because it’s a favorite of hers, as well. Highly recommend!
Had a great experience this evening! The staff is super attentive and kind, the food was SO satisfying, big portions, all 5 of us left happy and stuffed :) We were lucky to come during DineLA week and enjoy its generous menu. When my husband's dishes were late to come out, he got a complementary scoop of home-made pistachio ice cream, which was delicious. I tried the ginger ice cream and it was very refreshing and pleasant. I loved everything we had, appreciate the warm service, and would love to return soon!
Went here for my dad’s birthday, the food is really good and the restaurant has a nice cozy vibe and feels welcoming. The service was really good and I recommend getting the lamb curry and the grilled fish with garlic naan.
Our 4th visit. We love this Mom and Pop restaurant with dishes we haven't seen on other Indian restaurant menus. Full bar. Great starters. This time we tried the Dahi potato puri. So good! Love the green chicken Tikka and dal. Naan is delicious too. Is it on the pricey side? Yes, but sometimes you get what you pay for. And... Easy to share one or two starters and 2 mains + rice for three people. The staff could not be more warm, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!
The food is amazing , i highly recommend this place if you want a great Indian food in Glendale
My friend and i went here for their Dine LA dinner. The staff was very attentive and had the dishes coming out at the right intervals. For $35, we were stuffed and still had leftovers. Everything we tried was great: chicken tikka masala, daal, garlic naan, palak paneer, veg samosa, indian iced tea, & gulab jamun for dessert. Id go back now even without the deal.
First of all, I came here for the pani puri—it’s tough to find outside of street fairs. We also had the vada pav sliders (fantastic!) and the idli. The lamb curry and chicken jalfrezi were delicious, and the cocktail menu offers a solid selection with their own unique spin. The space is lovely—clean, neatly decorated, and perfect for a date night. The staff were warm, patient, and genuinely attentive. The only small downside is the usual Glendale parking, but otherwise this place is a solid 10/10.
My bf told me so many times that he wanted to go back to this very good Indian restaurant but he just couldn't remember the name. By God's grace, we finally found it! When I saw the review of 4.3.. I was thinking it would be a regular indian restaurant. Out of my expectation, it is more like a gourmet restaurant. They have a selection of street food as appetizers and it was very appealing to me. It is the first and the only Indian restaurant I have been to has that interesting selection of Indian Street food. The main dishes were even better. The curry wasn't watery. They did actually used good amounts of ingredients. The naans they had were so well made. The cheese naan came with cheese in between and a pickled mango sauce. My another first experience with Indian food. The cocktails were also phenomenal. It was very well blended. Not overly sweet and it was well a good amount of alcohol. The owner, Deep, greeted us and told us that it was a family business. She and other servers were very welcoming and friendly. Until this point, I really don't understand why it's only 4.3 reviews. The food, decor, and atmosphere were beyond above average. It is now becoming my favorite Indian restaurant and we are going to order to go now.
I always go to all India when I’m in the mood for Indian food! I am vegan, and the employees are so accommodating and understanding. I recently went for Dine LA and the manager was super accommodating and was able to adjust the menu to fit my needs. The food is so delicious and priced so well! The atmosphere is also amazing. This is THE go-to Indian place I recommend in LA.
Tried out this place recently. It’s such a great spot. The ambiance is spot on. The food was delicious. Especially the Chicken Tikka Masala! The service was also incredible. The Garlic naan is the best.
Their title is appropriate. After trying 4 other Indian restaurants around LA, this was excellent in all regards. The food was authentic, we had the Baigan Burta and we could taste the smoked flavor, spices were limited allowing you to taste the eggplant. No cream or gimmick. The dal was great too. 👌 the hostess/server was very polite and humble. Samosa looked wierd ( See picture) but tasted authentic. We also saw the owner eat his own food, a good sign :-). Restroom and corridor were clean unlike other restaurants. Overall a great experience. We'll done All Inda Cafe.
Just happened to see this place while walking to another eatery. Glad that we decided to eat here instead. We enjoyed all the plates we ordered. Love the atmosphere and decor. And Jenny, our server, was such a delight. We'll be coming back to try other dishes.
We had an amazing experience at All India Cafe! The food was so delicious that we didn’t even get a chance to take pictures before diving in. Every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was just as impressive—Arshdeep took great care of us and was incredibly kind and attentive. The restaurant itself is very clean and the atmosphere is really nice. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!
We had a late dinner (after 9:30 PM) on a Friday night here. Loved the interior decor and service at this restaurant. The food tasted authentic, fresh and was not excessively oily. Spice levels were adjusted perfectly to our request for each dish. Especially recommend the tandoori rotis, saag paneer, jalfrezi and ginger flavored ice cream. Garlic naan and aloo paratha were good too. The entrees don't come with rice or naan, so you have to order them separately. Street parking was full but there were paid parking lots available close by.
Had a wonderful experience here, and introduced my Audiology doctoral extern + her husband to Indian food! Maddy was our waitress, and was attentive with great suggestions. We went with the veggie special (muttar paneer), saag tofu, and chicken tikka masala with rice and garlic naan. We also enjoyed our mango lassis as a perfect dessert. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back! Edit - 2/1/26 - came here for their DineLA deal, competitively priced at $35. Solid value!
I’ve been following All India Cafe since their restaurant in Santa Barbara, then Pasadena, and now closer to me in Glendale. All India Cafe is one of my top 5 favorite restaurants, and I dine out A LOT! 😋 their Lunch specials are fantastic in options, flavors, and price. I am generally there on my own, therefore the thalis are my go-to: one person portions of a variety of dishes. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, everything is tasty. Their samosas are the best and sometimes when I’m in a rush in the area, I pick up an order of samosas to eat while I run errands. All India Cafe also participates in Dine LA menu deals, and it is truly a bargain with the generous portions, that I generally return home with leftovers for the next day. 😋 I also appreciate the staff, from the people in the kitchen that consistently make delicious food, to the friendly servers that have always been very attentive and welcoming. ♥️ I’m happy to support family businesses run and operated by POC that deliver an excellent dining experience each and every time.
If you're looking for a good Indian restaurant in LA County, I highly recommend All India Cafe. It has been a nostalgic experience for me, especially with their vada pav and pani puri. These dishes remind me so much of the authentic taste I used to enjoy back in India. It's rare to find that same flavor and essence here, but this place nails it perfectly. Their biryani was also good. The menu offers a variety of Indian dishes that cater to all tastes, whether you're craving street-style snacks or rich, traditional curries. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to relive fond memories of Indian food while enjoying a cozy dining experience. It's a must-visit for anyone in LA who loves authentic Indian cuisine!
Ooooh this place is so good. Low key vibes, amazing food with just the right balance of strong Indian flavors. Nice moderate but not skimpy portions. Very friendly and attentive staff. Easy walking on Brand. I like enjoying their outdoor seating best. I’m such a fan.
Very good Indian Food. Portions were good and very tasty. I liked the butter chicken and tikka masala. These were not too spicy and great when mixed with the rice. I ordered takeout, so assembly was required. However, I still enjoyed the food and putting everything together. The garlic naan was a personal favorite. I have had naan at many places and I have really enjoyed this garlic naan.
Best Indian Restaurant in have visited. Highly recommended Non-Vegetarian Thali with Lamb Curry with Aloo Matter, Dal of the Day, basmati rice, naan & kachumber or raita Tandori Thali with lamb kebab, you won’t be disappointed!

I don’t eat Indian food often but everything here was really good and flavorful! The garlic naan was so good, I just ate it by itself haha. And the ladies that worked there were really nice! Will definitely be going back!
We had a great time! The food was delicious (I had the green chicken) and the portions are very generous. Our service was fabulous. Free refills on delicious chai tea! Very friendly waitress who had good recommendations. It definitely felt like a family-owned place. We sat at a table with chairs on the floor, which was really fun. Pretty art on the walls. We'll be coming back soon!
We reached LA late at night when almost every restaurant was closing, and we were worried we wouldn’t find a place to eat. To our surprise, All India Café welcomed us warmly, even though it was close to their closing time. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good meal after a long day of travel, and that gesture alone speaks volumes about their hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, authentic, and served with genuine warmth. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs. I’ll definitely return here whenever I’m in LA and recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and even greater service.

Very good Indian restaurant in this area. Owner is attentive as well as the staff. Limited menu but tasteful. I wish them good luck. Great hospitality
Food was pleasantly flavorful, atmosphere was relaxing, especially after a long/loud busy day. Old munk beer was a little skunky but strong enough to hit the spot. Definitely worth a shot if your unsure about Indian food.
Amazing Indian Food for Glendale But ‘A La Carte’ Everything Makes It Insanely Expensive. I’ll give it the credit it deserves, really delicious and fresh Indian food. Naans were crisp to perfection and Tikka Masala was perfectly spicy with large chunks of meat. But man…$20 entrees that don’t even come with basmati rice? Or naan? That’s a big no from me. Made the mistake of ordering their new appetizers and they were just as expensive as the entrees with way less food. If you can order in a smart way or split it, definitely worth it. But $90 bill for two people with no drinks is outrageous to me.
Well this a pretty nice little spot nestled at the heart of Glendale. Just walking in, it's easy to be enamored by the lovely decor and intimate lighting. . Now, when it comes to the Punjabi cuisine, they stuck with your traditional dishes, and added an interesting Gulabi Farfalle Pasta dish that saffron curry base with bell pepper, coriander, turmeric, and cumin. To start with, the Pani puri shots made from tamarind and mint spices was a refreshing amuse bouche that helps cleanse and prepare your palate for the delicious food to come. The potato samosa was dense, but in a good way, with more potato than breading, which you can get from some other places. The mint and tamarind chutney paired well with the samosa. The onion pakora similarly struck a nice balance of crispness and savoriness without being too oily. Simple, but delicious! On the drink side, the mango laasi was one of the thickest I've had and yet it wasn't too sweet, either. It was refreshing. The same can be said with the Chai which was spiced well, but not sweetened at all. It tasted like actual Chai. As for the entree, the two best were the butter chicken and the Gulabi Farfalle Pasta, while the Saag Paneer and Tandoori were a bit underseasoned and less memorable. But the tandoori, which was not red because they don't use red food coloring, struck a nice level of tenderness and was not too dry, which I have found with some tandoori chicken. The garlic Naan had a very nice crispy texture to it, but I would love a bit more kick with the garlic. So the best two are the butter chicken, which you can never go wrong at any Indian restaurant, and particularly here. It was savory, filling, but not too heavy. It can be too salty if not balanced with some basmati rice, but it's not too rich, either. The Gulabi Farfalle was the most surprising and adventurous of the dishes tonight, combining two different worlds in one dish with bow tie pasta and the saffron curry base with bell pepper, coriander, turmeric, and cumin.
The food was very good and very flavorful! It was really tiny portion of the tiki masala and I wish they had a different cheese on the nan bread. Overall it was very good. The chicken was moist and hot. The sauce was lemony. The environment was cute. Felt small and comfy. There were some cute pictures on the walls.
A nice location in Brand Street in Glendale, All India Cafe was a treat to try for #DineLA. We had a wide variety of menu items, and all were good and not as spicy as we expected. The service was attentive and the food came out regularly.

Rating: 3.5/5 This is a great spot for lunch—reasonably priced with a friendly and always welcoming hostess. The food is still good, but I can definitely tell there's been a change in the chef in the back.
The food is average for the price. It is mostly Americanized Indian food in regards to taste and spice level. The waiter did not ask for spice level. The thali is a good deal overall. We ordered paneer and the quantity was very less for the price. Oh, the chicken soup is definitely not an Indian soup. Warning: Am not the local to this area.

While in India, I recall bottomless portions and complex and engaging flavors. Apparently "All India cafe" carries the name because all of their flavors, portion size, and appeal have been usurped by all of India and there is none left for this quaint little restaurant in Glendale. For the high high prices, you get so little food you almost feel like it's a sick joke (especially if you are in one of the low seats). And then they charge you for rice as an additional charge. Too much for chicken Tikka masala and you get maybe, if you are lucky, a quarter of what any decent Indian restaurant will offer, and then they charge you for a heaping serving of rice. Your priorities are all wrong. Though your wait staff is not to blame for the inauthentic and money grubbing offerings here.
The Sev puri was good but the dosa was terrible - not at all golden in color and had virtually no taste. The sambhar was more like a daal and the coconut chutney was missing the vaghar. Really disappointing. The samosas were ok but may be a bit too heavy. Overall I would not recommend this place again.
All India Cafe in Glendale offers a clean and pleasant ambiance, a rare find in some Indian restaurants in the US. However, the food experience was subpar. Opting for the chicken tikka thali, I was disappointed with the tough and reheated chicken tikka, impacting both texture and flavor. Perhaps the chicken was cooked a day before and reheated for me. Daal and aloo matar sabzi were not only bland but also far from authentic, possibly tailored to American tastes. Despite highlighting the issue to the server, no corrective action was taken, a common concern in many Indian restaurants in the US. While the garlic naan was commendable, deserving a mention for its quality, the overall dining experience left much to be desired due to the underwhelming food.
I always liked their food. But I have to mention that servings became almost twice smaller than it was before!!! Even though we are getting much less food for the same price I never wanted to say anything bad about their food because it's actually good. Until I found this staple in the food and cut my gym with it
In this restaurant Dosa (south Indian dish) has a punjabi (north indian) flavour. So I don’t think other south Indian dishes will be good.
