About a month ago, I was eating out during a relatively quiet night at the corner of 6th and Catalina toward the Eastern side of koreatown. It was late, and there were only a couple groups that night, and one of them was talking with the owner of the restaurant. They were obsessed with an Italian sandwich shop, couldn't have enough to say about the history, the quality, and the fact that they were going to have a Koreatown branch. I was so curious I came up to them to ask more of the details. They were talking about All'Antico Vinaio, and at that time, it wasn't even going to be open for another month. All'Antico Vinaio, roughly, 'to the old vineyard', is an Italian sandwich chain of worldwide renown, but here in the States, until recently, it was a New York staple. At the time of writing, there are only three branches on the West Coast - one in Vegas, one somewhat fittingly in Venice California, and one here in k-town. And what a blessing it is. They've settled on increasingly stylish tiny block just east of Western, north of the Chase Bank, a couple doors from fellow newcomer Liu's Cafe. Their store's edifice has been completed for about a month, but the restaurant itself has only been open since a few days ago as of this writing. And if you see it open, you would best take a look! The interior is pretty small - there's room for about five people to eat in - but as of now the line moves pretty quickly. It helps that the sandwiches for the most part don't seem to involve a lot of roasting or other prep. Unlike other sandwich shops, there was a clear leader of sorts running the show behind the counter, calling out to the other staff and mixtures of Spanish, Italian, and English, and daftly answering any questions from us the customers. But the star of the show is the food of course - prepared in a truly unique style which I've been told is called a pizza Bianca, essentially a square of pizza dough, between which the sandwiches ingredients are prepared. Now in this I was a little skeptical, as I have a dairy allergy which prevents me from eating cheese. But upon the sandwich maestro's suggestion, I got La Inferno, which I was assured had no dairy and a lot of flavor. Every ingredient is tremendously fresh, and feels like it doesn't need to be flavored, cooked, or really touched in any way. You could gladly just eat strips of the roast, crunch leaves of the arugula, or down whole spoonfuls of La Inferno's feature, the spicy eggplant (something I've not personally tried in a sandwich before). But together with bread, they form a fabulous fresh symphony, the likes of which I have never tasted in a sandwich before. My girlfriend is not a fan of sandwiches generally. She got the favolosa and reported that it was a damned good sandwich. That's All'Antico Vinaio - The kind of place which can convert you to a food you wouldn't normally eat, and reinvigorate a fascination that places like Subway are determined to stamp out. The lack of seating, morning-only hours, and inconvenient parking are some of the only downsides to an unmissible experience (I recommend looking for street parking on Wilshire and the streets connecting to 6th). And if you brave the labyrinthine Koreatown parking, you'll find that this branch is so new, there's hardly a wait at all - something I'm told cannot be said of the other branches. At least for now. All the more reason to quickly find your way to All'Antico Vinaio - it's not going to stay empty for long.

My piece of Italy in my neighbourhood ♥️🙌 Oh. My. God. That’s sandwich I had today was FIRE. Check out their a little bit spicy K-town sandwich with roast beef, I also added some extra mushroom cream. The bread itself was exactly as it tastes in any Italian city. I missed this soooo much. The sandwich is really big, they give generous potions. I would say that if you are moderately hungry, the half of it would be enough, another half you can have later in the day. That’s the only good place for amazing sandwiches that I know from now. Good quality is on the top level! The atmosphere is so welcoming, guys at the counter were very nice. 100 out of ten!!

The food was delicious. I got the Venice sandwich and my wife got the la italiana sandwich which was so good with the pistachio sauce. The service was fast and the lady helping us was nice. I did not like that some of the staff was speaking and joking and laughing loudly and saying profanities in Spanish. I did dine in and it bothered my experience. I would go back and hopefully that’s not the case next time.

Perfect little lunch spot hidden away in the middle of Koreatown, if you dont know about this Italian gem and youre in for a great time! If your into subs, exquisite flavors and an authentic experience this is the place. This location is a fairly intimate/small space with minimal seating so probably not a great fit for big groups but perfect for lunch or a cute one-on-one. the staff was very friendly, the food is excellent and the bread is out of this world. definitely lives up to the hype, absolutely worth giving All Antico a shot if you're looking for an upscale lunch in Koreatown!

THE ITALIANS DO KNOW THEIR SANDWICHES!!!!! I’ve heard about this spot for a very long time but never have the chance to try till now! Ordered a La Paradiso and La Favolosa, quite pricy ngl ( like $20e) but the sandwiches r massive, very filling! My fav is the paradiso the pitaschio creme went so hard i’m a huge fan. The favolosa is a bit spicy but the meat is flavorful, that extra tangy aftertaste elevates it. So many layers of flavoring in each sub! If the location in LA is this good already i cant imagine how otherworldly the original location in Italy would be. Space is very small, not a restaurant more like for togo ( at least this location is). Parking is ultra rare for free, mostly paid just like anywhere else in downtown la. Staff was friendly, master at their skill, looking at them making the sub was very satisfying to me :) Will be back again when i have a chance :) 9.75/10!!!

An amazing place with a great vibe and friendly staff. We ordered the Lafavolosa, and I loved it! The combination of different cheeses, salami, and eggplant was incredible. However, my husband didn’t enjoy the mix of flavors as much. Overall, I really enjoyed it and highly recommend giving it a try!

I saw this place on Harold Baldr you tube channel and when I found out they opened one in LA I just had to go. I got the odd couple which was a porchetta sandwich, and man talking about a burst of flavore. That thing was smothered with Gorgonzola spread and pistachio spread. It was a unique combination which I like very much. Bread is delicious and the sandwiches are HUGE. We also got a LA district which was a more cold style sandwich which had arugula. They were both delicious. Definitely coming back again and again. This is an authentic Italian sandwich shop from Italy. Great staff as well. Very upbeat.

The sandwiches were top notch that transported me to Italy and I got it in Koreatown! Can get crowded and there may be a wait. It seems ordering first for pick up may be a more convenient way and shorter wait, there’s no place to eat it inside too, and street parking in K-Town is a matter of luck.

I have to say the consistency of the locations are top notch. I have been too the other LA locations and this one is just as good. All of the sandwitchs are so good here! Big sandos well worth it!

Superb service and sandwiches! When I was here there was no line. They make the sandwiches quickly and are so upbeat it seems quicker! The music is cool. I had the La Paradiso which is a sandwich that has mortadella and cheese and most interesting of all it has pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is not sweet of course. The sandwich is pretty big and it's made with really tasty bread. A lot of the ingredients here are imported from Italy! The sandwich is about $18 but it's big and worth it. Parking is difficult since this block has another great restaurant and a great cafe on it too. Meter parking. Parking is also available around the block and it's free but hard to get.

Tucked in Koreatown, All’ Antico Vinaio is a cozy Italian sandwich shop that stands out amid the sea of Korean eateries. The small space is charming, with fresh, neatly displayed ingredients that promise quality. I tried the one that had spicy eggplant, which was a delightful twist—reminiscent of Korean eggplant banchan but transformed into a flavorful Italian bite! My sis loved it too. The service was quick, with sandwiches made fresh to order. Some might find the prices a bit high for sandwiches, but those are big sandwiches that can feed you up to two meals. If you’re in the area and craving something unique, this spot is worth a visit!

All’Antico Vinaio brings an authentic taste of Florence to LA with its incredible sandwiches. We tried La Paradiso and La Favolosa. La Paradiso was the standout, with pistachio adding a perfect touch. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch. However, seating is very limited, so it’s best for takeout. The service is efficient, though it can get busy. If you’re looking for an amazing Italian sandwich, this place is highly recommended. Just plan to grab it and go!

I was so excited to see that they had this sandwich shop in the US only a couple months after my trip to Italy. I tried the Paradiso for a direct comparison and while it was delicious, it wasn't quite as fresh as the one in Florence. However, I came again with a buddy here and we split the Mamma Mia & the Broadway (with added prosciutto). Both were exceptional. The Mamma Mia was good in a traditional way with strong truffle flavors, and the Broadway was so unique with the pistachios for crunch, spicy zucchini, sun dried tomatoes and arugula. I highly recommend both

It is not often that I dream about sandwiches, but this place changed all that. Literally the best I have had in my life. Last week I had the Paradiso, and the combination of the creams and meat were a heaven I didn't know existed. There is only a small area to sit, but it is clean. I could not stop thinking about that sandwich, so this weekend I ordered the Broadway, and something between tge perfect bread, tangy sundried tomatoes and pistachio cream sent me back to the clouds. Now I have to try all the rest.

This particular sandwich in the pictures was introduced by one of the person who works there. They spread a generous portion pistachio butter, which was nice, but I feel there is no enough protein, because the meat was very thinly sliced. It's a big portion, so we shared it between two people, but the flavorwise was underwhelming. I want to say the people worked there were all very nice. The space is also nice enough, not a lot of seatings, could be hard to find a seat during peak time. I'd like to try a different sandwich, next time. Please let me know which is your favorite

Pretty pricey for a sandwich but I will say that it was good and the service was great. It's a tiny place that has a couple of stools for those that want to eat in, but it's really mostly a place to order your sandwich to go. They have a unique selection of sandwiches which is worth a try. Fresh bread is constantly brought out and the meats are sliced to order. You see them prepare your sandwich and it looks like a generous portion of meats, but I will say that when I brought it home, it all deflated. I still enjoyed the sandwiches, but it ended up being a bit too bread-y. The sandwich size is generous which makes the hefty price of $20 a bit more doable. I would order from here again if I was in the area.

Finally made it to this spot!!! The line wasn’t too bad. They make the sandwiches as you go so it moves pretty quickly. I think maybe the meat sandwiches taste much better but we had the vegetarian ones and they were pretty good! The bread is excellent! But I think we are one and done ☑️ so glad we tried it ! Great service by the way ! P.s Good luck trying to find parking and there are only four chairs to sit inside

The Italian sandwiches here were magnificent, delicious, & had a fair portion size. While these are all positive points, I unfortunately cannot give a full 5 stars due to the average prices being higher than other sandwich shops and delis competing in the same area especially with how many there are in the LA area. Even at this location in Koreatown, the competition is too stiff for this to be a wholehearted recommendation however it is still worth a try.
