Opinions de Anju House Los Angeles
Being around this area you expect late night food after walking all day at Universal and avoiding bad food at the Hilton . WHAT A GEM 💎 THIS PLACE IS !!!!!! ( sᴏʀʀʏ ғᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ) like an oasis in the middle of the desert accompanied with friendly service and meals out straight from heaven. Forgot to mention …. Don’t skip the cocktails
Tried Anju House and was really impressed! Furikake Fried Chicken (5/5) – Wow. Boneless, super savory, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Even the pickled radishes on the side were tasty. Animal Fries (4/5) – Fries were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce—flavorful without being too heavy. Cracked Corn (4.5/5) – Nice and crispy, almost like a fun twist on Mexican street corn. Ambiance: Great spot for dates, groups, or just hanging out—chill and stylish vibe. Service (3/5): Staff were friendly and checked in often, though one dish came out about 20 minutes late and servers seemed a bit distracted at times. Overall, would definitely recommend and would happily go back!
The establishment's exterior presents a reserved appearance; however, the interior atmosphere is remarkably welcoming. The quality of both the cuisine and service was exceptional. Parking options include street and valet services.
It was really perfect. The food was delicious, the service was so nice, and the vibes are spectacular. We were able to walk in on a Wednesday with no issues. I used to be a big fan of Yellow House cafe, so I was a pretty bummed when they closed. But I love what Anju House has done with the place. You can feel the charm of the old restaurant beneath the modern updated decor. I feel like vibe is flexible: you can enjoy the traditional, cuter cafe experience like what Yellow House had during the day and transition to a more pub-like environment at night. Our servers were so nice and helpful. They made great recommendations except maybe the Mayo Shrimp which wasn’t as crispy or saucy as I would’ve liked. The kimchi bacon pasta is as yummy as ever and sooo creamy. The Korean fried chicken with green onion salad they recommended was really good. And I went to town on the Animal Style Fries. I was driving, so I couldn’t drink. But I feel like it would be really fun to enjoy some beer or soju along with your meal. It honestly was such a perfect experience. The menu is huge, so I’d love to come back to try more items along with more kimchi bacon pasta.
What a hip joint! So cool! Delicious fusion food from Korean with inspiration from Mexican, etc… definitely a fun place to hangout on the weekend with friends..great selection of music on the background as well .. love the spicy garlic fried chicken.. quesadillas with Korean beef is so comfy .. get the combo cones with their signature corn puff and a bottle of beer to share..
This was a great find. We had originally planned to go somewhere else but they weren't able to accommodate a vegetarian. We ended up coming to Anju House and are so happy we did. The portions are big and for the price I think it's very reasonable. The food was well spiced and tasted good. The atmosphere was also very nice especially the outdoor patio area. It looks like it would be a fun spot to come at night and would definitely be more lively. Service was also quick and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to come out. Insta: @TheShahLALand
I finally found the restaurant with beautiful views and interior design, and the delicious food! The noodles were just spicy enough. And we all love the cocktails! If you are not in a mood for soju, then please try their cocktails!
Mostly outdoor seating. Parking is the problem. $6 for valet.
First time here. We came for Sunday lunch. You enter an older house and emerge into a lovely covered patio dining area. We were given a very large menu of all sorts of Korean fusion items. The only issue we had was they didn't have Korean Hot tea. They had other options, but not the traditional roasted tea we like. The food was good. My wife had a bulgogi bibimbop. It was tasty and hot! She also had a side of kimchee. I had the bulgogi quesadilla. It was a good quesadilla, but the bulgogi didn't separate it from a typical asada quesadilla. It was served with sour cream, jalapeños, and a spicy sauce that I swear was Tapatio hot sauce. Overall, the service was good, the food was good, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I get a sense that this is more like a Korean version of an Izakaya and that its a good place to come in the evening for drinks and food.

Everytime we are home long enough to exhale, we carve out time for lunch at Anju House. The army stew is our go to, and we spice it up with fried dumplings, kalbi, and whatever those sausage patties are called. They are so good, I never bothered to even learn the name. Awesome outdoor/indoor atmosphere that always has the games on. Service is great as well. All around nice place to sit and get some grub.
Dennis is the best. Valet was super helpful. We waited a long time but it was super worth it. The food came fast and it was all delicious. Highly recommend the apricot soju. Thank you for having us!
It's an indoor-outdoor restaurant, meaning you walk in and it seems like its indoor but then you walk into an outdoor like an atrium with plants & trees and breeze from the wind. Nextn you see all the tables like in a restaurant dining room. The settings were great and the foods were great as well...it tasted really good. The waiters were very nice. We would definitely go again. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. Parking can be a little difficult...street parking. You cannot park next door... they'll tow your car, be careful.
Went on a weekday to watch the 49ers game. The price was very reasonable for the chicken combo with the fries and corn cheese, which also includes a free soju or beer. They were nice enough to replace the free drink option with makgeolli instead as well. The food was really great and service was awesome. No complaints overall. I'll definitely be coming back when I visit LA again (hopefully to watch the Korea soccer game during the World Cup!).

This was our first time here and it won't be our last. This restaurant was a house that was converted into a restaurant. The restaurant is in the backyard and it feels like you are at a backyard cook out with tour friends. We saw people eating and then playing cards just having a good time. This place really is a vibe. RSVP because its a long wait. The service is slow, but the bus boys help out alot. We felt like the bus boys do most of the work. They really should promote the bus boys because they are doing everything the waiters should be doing except taking orders. We live an hour away and the food was worth the drive. The valet messed up my car and didn't say anything.
We’ve been going here for years, since it was Yellow House. Great food, we love the carbonara and penne pasta, as well as all the sides like the tteokbokki, fries, noodles, rice and things. We have noticed that the food has noticeably decreased in quality the past few years, while also increasing in price beyond the price of inflation in that time. So it’s a 3/5 in 2025, but a 4/5 to 5/5 in previous years. On Sundays there is free street parking nearby. The valet in 2025 is now $5, which is not worth it for the area
It's a quaint and very dog-friendly spot. It has plenty of seating and offers an array of food options. If you've been here before when it was called "Yellow House," you'll notice the similarity in the menu. It's a perfect lunch/dinner for groups and families. My human ordered the Fried Chicken and Green Onion, and it was delicious! It's definitely a must-try! The chicken is crispy, and the green onion salad was very refreshing. The sauce it came with was okay, but you don't need it. Service could improve.

Nice place to have a dinner date. The outside patio is full of odd decorations ranging from mini records to sports memorabilia. The price of some items are eye opening, but the basic Korean dishes are about average.

I had a great experience at Anju House in Koreatown. I ordered the jjampong soup and it was amazing — super fresh and full of flavor. I also tried the seafood fried rice, which is one of my favorites, and it did not disappoint. The asado was perfectly cooked, very soft, and really flavorful. I also want to give a special thank you to the food runner for the excellent service. Overall, great food and great experience.
Famished after a concert and looking for a spot open late, we stumbled across Anju House. Don't let the exterior fool you. While it looks like a house, it's completely converted into a pub/restaurant with a rather large seating area in the "backyard" for large groups. We put down our group on the waitlist and got seated within 15 minutes, even though 2 people in our group was still stuck in traffic trying to leave the parking lot after the concert nearby. The five of us already there decided to order a bit of everything to try it all. Since we were a larger group with a larger order, the food did take a while to come out. We split the okonomiyaki fries ($13.95), bulgogi fried rice ($20.95), seafood pancake ($25.95), and bulgogi dukboki ($25.95). We were so hungry that everything hit the spot and we ate up practically everything except a piece of the seafood pancake and the garnishes on the other dishes. One thing we forgot to do that you should always do is order the pancake extra crispy. It really makes a difference! We all also wanted some caffeine for some energy since we were exhausted after the concert. We tried ordering the Vietnamese latte and other coffees, but they were already out. We ended up ordering cans of Coke and Diet Coke ($2.95) and an iced peach tea ($5.95) instead. All in all, we appreciate the late night Korean hot food, the minimal wait to be seated, and the large tables available for groups. You can valet for $5 or find a decent amount of free street parking nearby.
Fun and laidback atmosphere. Great for large parties and late night cravings. The fried chicken was deliciously crunchy and yummy. Parking is tight. They have valet or if you're lucky, you might be able to find street parking.
I arrived on a Friday night around 10 and waited about 25 minutes for a table. The vibe was great with outdoor seating, string lights, and lively patrons. The food matched the atmosphere; the corn cheese and tteokbokki were outstanding, and the spicy pork was worth it. I highly recommend returning!

been here since they opened, even back then when it used to be yellow house. at the beginning was good but ever since the servers got changed its just so disappointing. like, i dont get it, whats the point of putting your name in the waitlist if the place is half empty and you are never gonna call us in. the party in front us were waiting for 10+ minutes until i told them that they can just walk in and ask to be seated. but they ended up heading out without ordering anything cause i guess they got mad too. we arrived there around 7:30pm, got seated at 7:38 when half of the place was empty. waited till 7:50 and we just left cause no one was coming to our table. if you dont want to work as a server then just quit or work at a coffee shop. food is actually pretty good, same with atmosphere, except the servers. to be honest i’d rather go to a place that sells frozen meat but with 10/10 customer service, than coming to here even though i do like the food. i’m never coming back, i’ve been here for years, i’ve seen many servers starting and quitting, but it’s just getting worse.
If you’re looking for authentic Korean food, this isn’t the place. The menu feels more like a mix of mediocre Korean-fusion dishes than true Korean cuisine. Positives: The waiting area is cozy and inviting, with comfortable sofas and a relaxed vibe. Sports fans will appreciate the multiple TVs showing various games. Despite only having two servers, service was friendly, attentive, and impressively fast. Our server checked in several times to make sure we were taken care of. Negatives: Unfortunately, the food fell short. Most dishes were either overly sweet or bland, and the drinks were overpriced. We ordered several dishes to share. The Kimchi Bacon Pasta was a miss — mushy noodles smothered in melted cheese with bacon that had an odd, fishy flavor. It didn’t seem to know what it wanted to be. The Seafood Cream Linguine lacked both flavor and texture, leaving us unimpressed. Based on these two dishes, this definitely isn’t the place to go for good pasta; for that, I’d recommend spots in The Grove, Larchmont, or other restaurant instead. The Spicy Fried Chicken was dry, overly sweet, thick, doughy coating — more like sugar-crusted fried bread than chicken. The Bulgogi Quesadilla was just okay, but the condiments were disappointing. It came with salsa roja, sour cream, and jalapeños, but the salsa was so vinegary it was inedible. The Clam Chowder was decent but nothing special, but easily the best dish we tried. At $15 a beer, drinks felt unreasonably expensive. After trying multiple dishes, the clam chowder was the only thing we genuinely liked. While the service and atmosphere were pleasant, the food simply didn’t deliver. We wouldn’t go back.
This place is awful genuinely. Food was so burnt and charred and just nasty. No flavor, chewy meat, and you could taste the dirty greasy pans they use… like clean the stove or something it’s so gross. Then the service was awful. In the whole hour experience I probably saw our server twice, had to chase him down for the check. Lastly the flickering strobing lights gave me a headache to the point where I had to write this review

The price for valet is okay, but parking in general is awful. There’s not a lot of space for the valet to begin with, so if it’s busy, good luck finding parking. When you initially walk in it seems like a good atmosphere, but that quickly gets ruined with the poor service. We ordered the combo A and didn’t receive two of our items even towards the end of our meal. We let someone know, they didn’t bring it out. We told them to remove it off of our bill, and they only comped a $9 smoothie we ordered (the combo is $100). Since we already paid for it, we asked for the corn and AGAIN! They forgot. Awful service and I would not recommend coming here. The salad also has raw onions in it….gross.
