Best dive bar on the west side! Chill spot with fun vibes. There are two pool tables and several screens, a modern jukebox and more. All the bartending staff are great, kind and respectful, each one with their character and grit while friendly.

Great locals bar. lots of friendly people. You're allowed to bring your dog inside. Endless parking for free. There's a table outside you can sit down and enjoy your drink. Easy to find Coke. Death metal is forbidden on the jukebox, if you try to play it they will turn it off. If you grew up in the West LA area there's a good chance you'll bump into someone you haven't seen for years in banter bar

Great place with amazing crowd! Came by on a Friday recently for the first time…stayed from early afternoon till last call 🫠 the opener was a very nice gentleman and the smallish amount of customers were mostly older 50+ shooting pool hanging out. The two pool tables are wonderful with new cloth and balls! Really nice equipment for not being a pool hall. As it got later Emily (Banter Bar owner,) took over and the place soon filled up with a much younger crowd. The service was excellent even with heavy traffic and there’s tons of space for different groups to hang out. The layout is extraordinary! Comfy couches and booths, tvs, outdoor patio, etc etc everything you could want in a bar! Come thirsty and ready to mingle…everyone is very friendly and engaging without having to know each other. 6/5 ⭐️

Been coming here for years, since it was Gabe's before Emily, the most recent owner took over. It's a great spot. Great local crowd most nights. On the weekends it's a fun party crowd that is quite eclectic, from 21 year old college students to the old regulars. Definitely a fun place to play some pool.

Classic dive bar! Karaoke on a Wednesday night (although it was keyed up for a birthday party) was great. There are 2 pool tables with an active crowd. Would be a 5 star but for the delay on service from the bar... delayed unnecessarily due to a disruptive guest who had to be expelled. Other than that, a fun experience. Would definitely go back again.

Busy 2AM bar, Great music, Super friendly bartenders, small bathrooms and crowd can be a little rowdy but hey it’s a dive 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice place, only issue I faced is they demand larger tips and call it out loudly. "In AMERICA you have to tip, my other bartenders will not put up with it" the seemingly cool lady Emily running the place told me across the counter in front of her reguler guests... So just a heads up for new guests who are "new to AMERICA", carry equal money to pay for taxes and tips to avoid being embarassed. I did write the tip later although demanding extra money seemed bit rude, at first it seemed racist but I shrugged it off as culturally specific to AMERICAN bar owners who don't pay good wages to their servers!! Other patrons are warm and I saw them regularly on my 3 or 4 visits which makes the atmosphere familiar.

I’m not really sure what the problem is because I was more than generous, Polite andreserved. Had no problem waiting my turn for karaoke for which I tipped out at four dollars per song….. Enjoyed the atmosphere and met a lot of great people mainly because they wanted to pet my dog. .. The owner told me that because she was concerned about my dogs hearing I would not be allowed back in if he came with me… I wasn’t trying to be a smart ass when I suggested that maybe she should be more concerned about the hearing of the Othercustomers because my dog and I go to karaoke nearly every night and both wear earplugs.. I’ll miss the place, but I don’t make the rules c’est la vie
