Huge variety of flavors, chill laid back atmosphere, excellent music, and the meats are cooked to perfection. The ribs were to die for.

We loved our dinner here! Everything was tasty and the waiter was on point. The tables are pretty close together so it can be hard to feel "alone" but the overall vibe made up for it. Loved it all!

The food and service never disappoint here. This is one of my favorite restaurants in LA! The turmeric fried rice, branzino, humus and ribs are my top choices but everything I've had here is delicious. Highly recommend!

Our entire family thought the food was absolutely delicious. Great sangria! Really chill vibe. Sat in the patio and was very comfortable. Music inside was really loud, but the sound outside was perfect!

All the food was delicious. Went with some friends before going to a Candlelight concert. We ordered 6 plates and although these were small plates (tapas), we got full. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambiance of the place!

Walking up to the Bowery Bungalow, you can instantly feel the warmth of home. The interior is charming and inviting with its shiplap walls and stylishly comfortable country cottage decor. The intimate patio has individual tables for privacy, but also has two long communal dinning tables. The staff was instantly warm, hospitable, and attentive without hovering. The Andalusian omelette with Spanish chorizo was mildly rich in flavors that went perfect together. A great dish for brunch where quality flavor is desired without sensory overload. The Spanish chorizo was a bit difficult to cut the way it was presented, however, the flavor more than made up for it. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the greens were a wonderful compliment to the dish. I can’t wait to return and experience a dish from their dinner menu. Well done Bowery Bungalow, and thank you for a delicious brunch.

Great vibe and beautiful interior design. Sat alone for a quiet meal to myself but the atmosphere was buzzing, but in a lovely way. Cozy place, great service. Food was good. I would definitely come back.

One of the best dinners we have had since we lived in LA. Bryant was also a phenomenal server!

Visited after a long day at the Griffith observatory and was so surprised - best meal I've had in a long time! For cocktails, try a Sage Wisdom (created by GM Marie) - refreshing aperitif and great palate cleanser after the warm, rich spiced harissa potatoes (do not miss these!). Then, try the shishka spiced tenderloin- sharp garlic sauce goes well with what I think is a citrus/zatar rub. Delicious and tender, perfectly med rare. Have a glass of Far Niente pinot for a silky accompaniment to the subtly warm cardamom rice pudding with a hint of crisp tree fruit - grilled to produce a sugary, sandy mouthfeel against the creamy pudding. Cozy, intimate environment and excellent service from beginning to end, especially by Marie and bartender JP. One of the best parts: a complimentary vegan lentil soup that is equal parts preserved lemon and sumac - incredible. You can order a bowl for 5 dollars, though it's not on the menu. You will not be disappointed!

if you had a reason to remember the name of this place... then let it be because the food was /is nothing short of SPECTACULAR. the name and menu don't connect, at least for me, but so what. they started us with a little bowl of lentils, perfectly cooked with subtle flavor. and then we had the mezze plate to get our palate going, it had a piece of feta on it with some insanely interesting herb combination on top. followed by couscous that made my tastebuds sing. multiple layers of flavor and textures, the best being the grain itself was fluffy and moist. currents, figs and apples rounded out the mouth watering explosion. hummus and warm pita, you have to ask for as it's not on the menu. hummus is hummus right?, wrong. this is like no other hummus I have ever had. the tahini was almost flowery in flavor, again texture and flavor 5 star. the a red and golden beet salad with hazel nuts, wow! finished with the baklava w/rose water honey and that will bring you back again and again. I love this place, lively crowd and great beer selection. dishes are meant to be shared, so go with lots of people so you can try many things. we were stuffed with just three main dishes.

Ambiance was on point and aside from the shakshuka tomato stew dish (I just don’t think i like this dish anywhere), the food never disappoints. I’ve been here ~5 times and will keep coming back. Highlights are: Lamb Gyro, beef cheek hummus, trout rillette, and beets.

Literally every single thing we ordered here was amazing. Picking a favorite dish feels like picking a favorite child but standouts were the baby back ribs and the beef tongue shwarma gnocchi.

By far the most amazing, cozy hangout place that I would love to keep coming back near Los Feliz. The food is great with plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Specially picked North African fare that you would not find at your regular Mediterranean restaurant. I have been here countless times and I have to say that on every single visit, every single person who served us was charming and made the visit a little bit more special with their wits. My favorite thing : Ask to be seated on the outdoor patio to the back of restaurant. It is simply gorgeous but expect it to be busy !!!

I have been to BB many times in the last year and I like it a lot. The food is always great, the setting is very nice both inside and on the patio outside. Their staff is usually good (they have the look-alike of Natalie Portman and she's adorable!). Their chocolate mousse is to die for! Only (small) downside is that they always seem to struggle to coordinate sending the dishes at the same time. However I'm still giving it five stars, definitely one of my favorite place in LA 👍🏼

My friend and I shared 5 vegetarian dishes for dinner. All were wonderful, but the roasted beets were fabulous. Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We had a great experience. Indoors was rather noisy.

Lovely atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, which was very rich, a large portion, and had a warm, savory flavor that lingered appropriately. The texture and flavors of the beef tongue, gnocci, and sauce combine together fabulously. I'm excited to come back and try more.

Delicious creative meals. So well made and delicious you will eat less than you think you will. Follow the recommendations of how much to order if you are not looking for food to take home. The cauliflower, ribs and lamb shank were exceptional.

G

We tried BB for my partner's birthday dinner and came away thrilled. Among the veggie openers, which are larger than tapas, I recommend the babaganoush with shishito peppers, spicy potato with harissa (hot!), and roast beets with pistachio. For our main we had the cast iron chicken, subtly spiced and perfectly cooked. The cardamom rice pudding is a refreshing dessert, and chocolate lovers must try the pot de creme. Wine & beer selections perfectly complement the menu's complex flavors.

This place is a hidden gem. Charming atmosphere inside and out, although the patio in the back is my favorite for a larger group. The staff is friendly and helpful and attentive, and the food is delicious! Flavors that inspire trips across the world! Spiced, seasoned and colorful with plenty of vegitarian options (curried cauli is awesome!) though everything meaty is tops!

S

This establishment is one of those magical places that you come across and your life changes from such an experience. The food is exceptional, service is unpretentious and relaxed, while the drinks are a beautiful mix of beer and wine. If you want a true culinary journey, make the Bowery your number one stop.

Gem of a restaurant just off the beaten path in silver lake. Get the hummus with beef cheek, the fava bean stew, and the chicken and beef shish. One of our favorite LA spots.

D
Durainaz Farooqui

The Bowery is such a gastronomic delight! The chef is Middle Eastern and obviously dedicated to his craft of serving an interesting very large array of dishes. The shishkatori kebabs melt in your mouth, the beef tongue and comforting gnocchi are like a warm blanket. The harissa potatoes are tangy spicy and heavenly. And the pot au creme with halwa shavings is foreign and exotic in the best sense of the word. Everyone should sample this delicious restaurant at least once a week.

As a Lebanese, my judgment of Lebanese restaurants is harsher than most. Bowery Bungalow passes the test in terms of authenticity and respect of traditional Lebanese cuisine. The eggplant salad is the only item that came to mind that could be improved upon, but the rest was exquisite and well portioned. Excellent decor, beautiful terrace, friendly staff - a well-rounded restaurant for a wonderful evening.

J

Not sure why I haven’t been here before after being in Silverlake for years. Yes, the food, wine, and atmosphere is great - and it’s not too expensive for the quality of food. But the thing that struck me the most is how the employees seem super happy working here. Perhaps it’s well organized or there’s a positive team spirit - whatever it is, the staff seems super happy, and I applaud them for their great attitudes and warmth!

This hidden gem is magical. You can't go wrong with any food items you order, and the staff is happy to help you find a wine to your liking to go along with it. The atmosphere is perfect. I really hope they bring back brunch, because finding out that was not a thing anymore was heart breaking. We gotta get that brunch back!

Wanted to find a cute restaurant with unique cuisine while I was in LA. This place was everything I could have asked for and more. The atmosphere was incredible. The food was more amazing than words can describe. I've never experienced anything like this. "Unique cuisine" was an understatement!!! It wasn't so strange that my family and I couldn't eat. We're all picky eaters but the food was a perfect way to introduce interesting flavors. And the service was beyond amazing. Our waitress not only was extremely amiable and helpful, but was engaging and made the experience all that much better. I want to come back just to eat here again!!!

A

We absolutely love this place. Straight up, I’m not a fan of tapas: whoever invented the idea of paying more money for less food is unquestionably an evil person, BUT… the food here is just so damn good. We’ve been a half dozen times and while yes, it’s pricey, it’s worth it. From the inviting patio out back to the charming servers TO THE FOOD(did I mention the food already?) it’s the perfect date night spot, across the board. Also, I know this sounds dumb because like… they’re just potatoes, but don’t sleep on the Spicy Potatoes. They’re kind of life changing.

J

One of the best restaurants I have been to in LA. The flavors are modern with North African influence. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ordered the scallop, mushrooms, beef tongue gnocchi, and the cheese dessert.

Went on a Tuesday early evening. A nice little bungalow. The inside had a cool bar, but I'd recommend the outside as it was nicely lit and a bit eclectic. First time ever trying beef tongue and it was superb. Can't go wrong with ordering that dish. Service was quick and attentive.

I hadn't been to Bowery Bungalow before, and a good friend ordered food for a date. When I arrived, I found the environment to be quaint, personable, and the food was delivered to me Outdoors. Very safe! When I arrived at my friend's apartment, she laid the dishes out to be shared between us. The smells and textures were very interesting, not your common fare. Each dish had its own very unique appeal. The uniqueness of the salad, the vegetable dish and the extraordinarily prepared ribs were unlike anything I had previously had experienced. Bowery Bungalow's unique take on Mediterranean Cuisine was a welcome and unexpected surprise. Of course I was tasting it through the senses of my extraordinary company, so it was hard not to love it! I will be back!!!!

Great food, every bite was stellar! Nice patio and great for larger groups too (8-10people). Limited but high quality beer and wine menu.

G

Great food. Seated quickly and the service was quick and professional. Hummus with Beef Tongue was decadent. Eggplant with market salad was great - needed a bit of lemon. Chicken fried turmeric rice was excellent as well - Mediterranean comfort food taken up a notch. I like this place. I'll be back. Wine was good too.

P

This is my favorite restaurant in LA. The food is exceptional- elevated mid-East, North African Mediterranean cuisine of the highest order. The ful medame is a must as well as beef tongue gnocchi and hen of the woods mushrooms. But really you can’t go wrong. I’ve ordered everyone on the menu. The service is soooooo warm and fun. Brian is a blast, he’s taken care of my twice now. And the ambiance is nice, constructed from a quant old home in silverlake. Parking can be a little tight so arrive a few minutes before your reservation. Treat yourself and go check it out!

S
Saumya Gumidyala

What a gem! It's been on my to-do list for a year and a half and I can't believe I've been missing out for so long. If you can sit out on the back patio, do it. It's a perfect date night spot. They start you off with a tiny spiced lentil soup just to get you going. With that three sip soup alone, I knew we were in for a treat. The portions are incredibly generous. The mains are easily split in two and the prices are bananas for the amount you're getting compared to similar spots. The slow roasted lamb is a treat. Get if you go. But honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with the menu. And to add to the incredible treat that was the food, the service was fantastic to boot.

A
Adri

Very nice staff. Very cute atmosphere, very warm ... it almost feels like your at home. Absolutely no tables available therefore sat at the bar, you can still order from the full menu. Food was excellent. Especially the cauliflower! Definitely recommend the visit. Next time I will get the gnocchi!

R
Ryan Siegel

Really great food and well-sized portions. We assumed by their description of the dish sizes that it would be "tapas" style, which would've been disappointing at those prices but we were pleasantly surprised by how much food we got. Three dishes were perfect for two people. The food itself was absolutely fantastic as well. Warmly recommended.

G
Glenn Basgaard

Every single dish we had was incredibly delicious. You cannot go wrong at this restaurant! The quality of what you get for the price is amazing. The atmosphere/ambience of this place was top notch as well. Great tunes and vibes!

J
Jessica Ma

Holy moly this place is amazing. The food is well-spiced and comforting, with just the right touch of California influence. When we dined here, we arrived right at opening, so the dining room still smelled like it had just been cleaned, which is a good sign! but not a good smell, so we opted to sit in the back patio, which is wonderful! It's lined with greenery and has relics of a time when people milled their own flour. The wine list is really fun--it has just the right number of glasses/bottles so you are not overwhelmed by a wine novella, and each offering sounds like something you would want to drink. Portions are quite generous, so you can relive your meal with a leftovers lunch.

V
Vanessa Ballesteros

This place is a converted bungalow-turned-restaurant and has quite the vibe. Great place for dinner with friends in the dining room or out on the patio, or a meet up for drinks at the bar. The tahini toast is a must get! The crispiness of the sourdough in combination with the mild sweetness of the dates and the refreshing bites of cucumber make this dish outstanding!

N
N P

If you want real middle eastern (not like Bavel), come here. Delicious, experimental, with a warm atmosphere. And big portions, so you get your money’s worth. Try the hanger steak, kofta mole, baba ganoush, and rice pudding for dessert.

C

I had the pan seared banzino and roast beets. The banzino was cooked to perfection. The skin was so crispy and flavorful while the fish itself was so tender. It was so tasty!

Restaurant is family style and we ordered quite a few starters to share. All the veggie starters were tasty. I also ordered the bean stew for myself and it was a lot for one person. We enjoyed every dish and the service was great.

Listen to me! There is nooooo reason why All Time is poppin 24/7 and this place isn't. I'm probably going to regret saying this as I work my way out of getting an easy reservation, but if you're sleeping on this place it's a mistake! The food is soooo good and fresh and unique! Never in my life have I had something like the flavor profile of the tahini toast. Everything we had was so yummy and for me a huge bonus was the generosity of herbs on every plate. The ambiance in the garden is so good and of course the wait staff was so wonderful. Will definitely be back.

I've been here 4 times and every time they did not disappoint. food is full of bold, unique flavors, and everything we tried was so good. The ambiance is chill, perfect for a relaxed night out. The tongue gnocchi is a most try. the staff are friendly and helpful. One of few restaurants in the L.A that you should give it a try

Went here last night for our anniversary and it was a sensational meal! We had the fattoush, cast iron chicken, hangar steak, rice pudding and some wine. When I tell you the FLAVOR of the foods was so good. Never in my life had I had food like this. It’s the kinda food that makes you do a little happy dance. Service was excellent. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The atmosphere is homey and cozy. We’ll come back again so we can try more. Loved every second we spent here. Highly recommend.

This place is super cute. We've always opted to sit on the patio because it's really quaint. Surprisingly, we sat at the same table the last two times we've gone. It's Mediterranean tapas and everything we've tried here has been really tasty. The scallops, hangar steak, the mushrooms, the babaganoush are some of our favorites. Great for a special occasion as it can get pricey but well worth it. Brian was our amazing waiter this last time and we tried some new items based on his suggestions. I wish they did brunch because we'd love to come here during the day and sit on that patio and chat with friends.

Wow. Very very pleasantly surprised by gem in silver lake. Highly recommend the Mediterranean breakfast for two and my girlfriend loved the middle eastern coffee. Also, this restaurant has one of the best interior designs I've ever seen in LA- an eclectic, brilliant piece of interior design work. Notice the details. Bravo.

My wife and I went this Friday to Bowery Bungalow for the first time and we had an unforgettable experience. Since the moment you go in you can feel it is a different experience. The lady who took us to our table was really nice. We don't know her name, only that she is from Mexico. We want to say thank you for being an excellent host. We sat on the garden. Beautiful. The plants, the lights, the whole scenario made it such a romantic place. Our waiter was so great. He took the time to explain the menu item by item and the choices he recommended were amazing. Thank you to all the persons who work there. We will definitely come back.

First time here and came alone. Everything about place is wonderful and relaxing. Middle Eastern cuisine is my favorite style of food l enjoy the most. The host and servers treat you like a very close friend. Forgive me for not remembering, but the entree dish of rice pilaf and tumeric was absolutely the best. I never had the spicy potatoes as an appetizer, but that to was so good. I could have easily eaten the potatoes as a meal. Deifinitely the place to dine in with your family or close intimate friends. Will come back. The place has the perfect decor and ambience.

Bowery Bungalow is in my list of Top 5 Restaurants in LA. We've tried most the menu and haven't found anything that we wouldn't order again. My personal favorite are the harissa potatoes, I dream about them from time to time. The staff are always friendly and knowledgable and the atmosphere is good for a date, a group celebration, or just a nice dinner.

It's holding hostage the greatest chefs in LA or something. Every time I eat here, my mind feels like I'm learning my senses all over again and should feels replenished. Service is spot on. Wine and food is top tier kind of food. Staff are kind and serve wonderfully. Cons: mosquitoes galore I'd say this is my favorite date night or nice outing kind of place. Steak is the best in the menu, a little on the salty side but when mixed with the Smash and crunchy greens. Flawless.

What awesome place to grab a meal! I had just hopped off a plane and was looking for a nice meal to pass time. A friend of mine recommended Bowery Bungalow and I’m glad I said yes! The food was incredible and the flavor profiles were extraordinary. I ordered 3 dishes, and that was a ton of food for just me. Totally recommend the Tahini Toast, Babaganoush, and the Seared Scallops.

A wonderful cozy little bungalow you must try to visit if you are at Silver lake. My husband & I have been eyeing this spot for quite a while and wanted to try it out. We finally got here while strolling the streets. The service and hospitality is outstanding, such nice people. You need to have a reservation for outdoor seating. I liked that its very neat and clean. We ordered babaghanoush which was so yummy (see in pic). We ordered the baby back ribs which was a popular choice and wanted to give it a try, it was good but little on the dry side because of the dry rub. Overall, this place has a nice vibe to it. I can see it as a growing spot for dates.

I
Ilana “Ana” Brown

The photo is the only dish we had that we didn't vibe with. Was just not very flavorful. The corn itself was bland, so if you didn't take a bite with the beautiful display of sauce/cheese, it just wasn't good. OTHERWISE, the Hummus bi Tahini was amazing. I LOVED the chickpeas. They were so crispy, and the gravy was amazing. The beef melted the moment your fork touched it. The rice pudding was also very delicious and not too heavy! Service was great. Atmosphere is so peaceful. Definitely plan on going again to try the lamb!

I cannot stress enough how much I loved my meal at Bowery Bungalow. Fortunately, it was the perfect weather outside, warm with a slight breeze. We sat on the patio under the gazebo with a bottle of wine as the waiter brought out amazing dishes after amazing dish. Some highlights: the hummus with beef cheek and beef tongue gnocchi were unbelievable. The hen-of-the-woods and beets were also perfect light starters to get the dinner going. I don’t live in LA but each time I come back, I’ll be at this restaurant.

Every single thing we ordered here was delicious and perfectly executed. I especially enjoyed the Heirloom Tomato Za’atar Bruschetta, Chicken Thigh Kabobs with Yuzu Tahini, and the Knafeh. The Lamb Shank with Pho finishings was a stroke of genius. I would highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine.

All the yes. Food, ambience, service, layout, location -- loved it. So glad this place was recommended! We went with a party of 9 and sat in the patio. Even on a cold night we were fine with the heat lamps. All of the food was shared and, believe it or not, it worked. Everyone had more than enough to eat and the bill was very reasonable. Even with two bottle and some individual drinks, it was only $60/each. The whole experience was a treat, and how delicious the food was only made it more true. I'd say bring more friends just so you can try all the plates!! Def going back to try their brunch menu.

Bowery Bungalow never disappoints! The menu takes an innovative approach to traditional favorites like gnocchi, ribs, babaganoush, and hummus, and the outdoor patio is beautifully quaint and charming.

FANTASTIC! Amazing, fresh, creative vegetarian choices. The couscous will last you several meals and is so buttery. The beets, broccoli, and lentil soup were all 10/10. Plus the service us excellent and the vibe is perfectly cozy. A little hidden wonder!

From the moment I walked in everyone was extremely kind. Our server was top notch with a fun personality and great recommendations. It’s a little tough if you’re not a meat eater, but the branzino was outstanding as was the cauliflower. They only serve wine and beer, and their white wines are nice. Definitely going back!

Bowery Bungalow is hands down one of my favorite Middle Eastern restaurants in LA. Tons of vegetarian options like the Couscous Royale, which could feed multiple people, and the Roast Beets which are phenomenal. Other highlights are the Babaganoush which comes with roasted Shishito peppers, and of course the Fried Cauliflower which is cooked with Tahini. As for meat dishes, the Lamb Shank is an absolute must and my favorite dish on the menu. It easily feeds 2, and comes in a truly delectable mildly spicy broth. The Beef Tongue Shawarma Gnocchi is a close runner up. Service is always excellent, you never feel rushed. And the outdoor patio seating is an amazing spot for a date night. No hard liquor, but a solid wine list is available. Parking is tricky in this area, however, so budget some time when making your way here. Can't wait to visit again!

One of the more unique restaurants I’ve been to, and certainly worth that trip. Try the shishkatori, bring a friend, a lover, or go solo and chat it up with the bartender. Wonderful gem of a restaurant I hesitated to review because I don’t want it to get too busy. You simply must try it.

The food is excellent and very tasty, although I think it is overpriced. The ambiance is great. It's a good date place. It is rather small inside and since I didn't make a reservation, we ended up sitting at a small table near the bar in what was termed the lounge area. It was a bit awkward to eat due to the lack of space - drinks had to be on the window sill to just barely fit all of the food on the small table. Service was good.

Food and service both excellent. Prices are not too bad. Only let down on the day we visited was that the air con was not working so place was very hot.

Good flavors, the service can be better, charging for pita bread was odd.

The food was pretty good. Got the trout, cauliflower, and steak kabobs. The trout is not a whole fish, it’s a dip (like an artichoke dip) and was pretty good. The cauliflower was amazing. The steak kabobs were okay, only a couple pieces of steak and not very tender. There’s very few street parking spots and no parking lots anywhere near this restaurant, so I would highly recommend a taxi.

WATCH OUT FOR THE MOSQUITOES!! Everything else about this restaurant is great. Food, atmosphere, decoration, service. All great. But dining on a plant-surrounded patio during late-summer evenings means that the mosquitoes are also feasting on you. I went in unprepared and came out with about 20 bites all over my legs. Kinda ruined everything else. Maybe the restaurant could consider offering bug repellents to guests.

Awesome spot with a great ambiance. Service is excellent, staff is helpful and friendly and food is delicious with a fun take on Lebanese. We shared everything and opened with the spicy potatoes, mushroom labneh, and green salad. All were a hit. For mains we shared the scallops and the ribs. Knefeh for dessert. Highly recommend.

What a gem. Both the food and service are top notch. The baba ganoush was the perfect appetizer. We loved the smoky pita bread that came with it! I recommend the fried cauliflower, even if you don’t love cauliflower: crispy and tender with a lovely tahini sauce on top. The ribs are flavorful and fall off the bone. The tumeric fried rice was nutty, buttery and delicious. I’ll definitely order the beef tenderloin kebab again. They recommend 2-3 dishes per person but we ordered 5 dishes between the three of us and had leftovers. There’s a beautiful patio out back which will be great for warm nights. To avoid a painful parking situation, make a reservation for 6pm (opening time). There were many spaces directly in front of the restaurant on Santa Monica Blvd.

The beef tongue gnocchi and the cauliflower dish was amazing, everything else seemed to be just OK. Sat at a semi-weird low table next to the bar that seemed more like something you'd see in a cocktail lounge. It was a bit awkward to eat but couch was comfortable.

On the night that I went, the performances were good, but not great. I really enjoyed seeing Pixie dance, but the other two performances were just ok. The food was also just ok, but a little bland. I had to ask for some salt to try to get a little more flavor on my lamb. I think Berber is such a great concept, but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Well presented, very polite n helpful staff. Food.... Loved the steak, the trout was not a trout at all. The olives with it were bad .. The spicy potato is Bad. The Branzino is from a Pond, so it does not have good flavour for all, for all u know if I had not seen the whole fish , I could have mistaken it for Tilapia.

Food was okay, but for the price I’d go elsewhere. I’m used to eating this type of food (Levantine) daily, so I wasn’t impressed by anything. For certain some of the dishes I can make better. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not great. The atmosphere is nice though, a nice quiet spot. The workers were nice too.

Excellent food. Killer service. Highly annoyed when trying to pay as they do not take cash. What about all the folks in this city that get paid in cash? Yall not worried about serving them? Anyways, like I said, everything was great other than that. Will not be returning as I do my best to avoid the “no-cash” spots. Hope y’all get off that bandwagon.

The atmosphere is super cute. Great service. The food was just very mid. Middle Eastern food is great because of its simplicity. This place made it very LA and threw Mexican into it and just wasn't a fan. Sorry.

I love the food here however unfortunately I had a bad experience during my husband's birthday with the service. I called in advance to let them know that we will be coming in for his birthday. I requested they put a candle in one of their Konafeh desserts on the menu since it is one of my husband's favorite desserts of all time. When we arrived the server was not aware of the request. They also sold out of the konafeh I had requested since they gave all of it to the large party sitting next to us. The server instead brought out a empty plate with a candle on it. It was pretty sad. Also I was pregnant at the time. Pretty terrible experience. So unfortunate since the food was so good. I don't think I will be coming back.

Ive eaten here many times before the pandemic and the food has always been fantastic. My last meal this weekend was no exception but I was disturbed by a few things. Firstly, the owner has decided to serve a single filet of branzino which is completely unadvertised. Our server even told us other patrons were upset to not receive the whole fish. It honestly makes it seem like they buy frozen filet packs instead if whole fresh fish. It was very disappointing and we spent a lot of money only to leave hungry despite being assured its a lot of food for two. (Updating because i ate at Bestia last night and ordered the branzino which came whole and only cost $6 more than at Bowery. That is mind blowing. Bowery get your life right.) Finally a kitchen appreciation fee was charged. As far as I know front house and back house share tips. Many in the kitchens are receiving cash instead of proper payments it just makes it seen like the owner is doing fancy accounting to grab an extra 3% from the customers. Sadly, i wont be returning to one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood for some time now.

The cauliflower appetiser was fantastic, but both our main dishes were absolutely tasteless!! So disappointing... I order the “Cast Iron Mideast Chicken, Grandma’s Rice w/ Dried Fruit, Cinnamon & Almonds” and my friend the lamb. We don’t understand how a dish with so many spices and seasoning didn’t taste of anything... truly impressive. When we told our waiter that the food was tasteless he said “I’m surprised” and that’s it 🤦🏻‍♀️ Ambience wise, the place is cute with a low-key/chilled atmosphere.

So I've been here a few times before the pandemic hit and every experience was great. Most of the food that we have tried was good, drinks with the exception of the sangria, most were good. Anyway, to the reason for the one star and why I will not be going back. So as the restriction starter to ease with the pandemic, I was so excited to go back and support my local businesses & the places that I liked. So one night I decide to take a few of my friends here since they had never tried it and since I was speaking so highly of them and their food, my friends agreed to try it. As we get there there is a wait, no big deal. So I walk up to the door and the hostest comes up and asks how many in our party, so I tell her and she let's me know there is a 25min wait, to which I replied that it wasn't a problem, so she asked for our phone # so they can call us when they had a table ready for us. So this is where it got weird. I asked her if we could get a table outside & I guess that question triggered something, because she gave me attitude and was very snappy. As she replied "that's going to be a longer wait". So I let her know it was not a problem, but she just kepted the attitude. Anyway we took a walk around to pass the time, 25 minutes later we returned and she told us it would be 10-15 more so we waited and waited. Never got called, still waiting for the text or call as I write this. I was going to go check with her, but at that point the rest of my party were over the rudeness and reminded me that we should never beg to give anyone business. So we took ours elsewhere..

S
S M

For starters: the food here is mediocre at best. The portions are small and the food is under-seasoned. I had only planned on eating here because my friends like their hummus. The main issue is that unfortunately, our (registered) service dog was discriminated against. After waiting 30 minutes past our reservation, we were rudely informed that our table had been given away to another party because our dog was not allowed on the patio. This is a trained, well-behaved dog that provides necessary medical assistance to my friend. The dark-haired hostess was entirely unapologetic to the entire situation until I threatened to write a review. I will be filing an ADA complaint.

I think it is really a shame that certain restaurants find these gimmicks to overcharge customers. Have some decency. Customer shouldn't be charged an 18% fee on top, for 'revenue that is not segmented' (what does that even mean?). You might as well increase the prices of your dishes by 18% instead of slapping your customers with this nonsense at the end of the meal.
