Opinions de Ela Los Angeles
One of the best greek restaurants in LA. Gyros are fire, as are their salads and bowls.
I start working next-door from ELA greek eats , as middle eastern The smell of the food had taken me back to home so I decided to try the food ! And here are the results “ The best Greek food I have ever tried in my life” The quality of the ingredients is high along with neat and clean kitchen and staff! absolutely it is my daily lunch destination 😍
So delicious! While it seems more of a take out place than a restaurant (quite small, serves the food on takeout ware rather than plates, etc) the food is quite excellent and the staff are wonderful. I got the chicken bowl which I was wary of because I thought I’d regret it over the gyros but it was so delicious and flavorful. No regrets! My friend got the mousakas and (I stole a bite) it was a generous portion and so good. If you want to wine and dine someone, I’d recommend ordering takeout with a light bottle of red and having a picnic (they don’t serve alcohol and the restaurant atmosphere is not for this). If you’re looking for excellent Greek cuisine then this is your place! Good 5 stars (read above) Service 5 stars Atmosphere 5 stars - calm, had some tables (like 3) to sit and have your food there but not a restaurant meant to wine and dine you. Some of these reviews have critiqued this but if you look at photos, you should not be expecting a full on restaurant.
This was one of the best Greek meals I’ve had in a while! Falafel was made with love and unique flavor, lamb was delicious and tender. Served with those bright and vibrant flavors you expect from Greek food. 10/10 Greek takeout
Ela Greek Eats is a go-to for fresh, delicious, and healthy Greek food. Their chicken Greek bowl is a must-try—juicy, flavorful, and perfect with tzatziki. For meal prep, get the salad on the side. Highly recommend! The staff is amazing!
My absolute favorite Greek neighborhood joint. It looks unassuming from the outside, but the food really tastes like you’re in the Mediterranean. I order this at least once a week and never get sick of it!
I ordered the lamb gyro and the moussaka. It's a bit pricey here, but I was really satisfied with what I got. The staff was really friendly, and I was even able to practice my Greek with the cashier. It seems like I live in the one part of the greater LA area that has no Greek restaurants nearby, so I make it a point every once in a while to make the trip to get Greek food. I'll definitely be making a trip back here in the future.
Always fresh, always consistent and most importantly always delicious 😍 I highly recommend the chicken gyro and the Avgolemono soup is To. Die. For. If you're craving fresh authentic greek food after a day at the beach, look no further.. this place treats you like family as they get to know you.
The food is is phenomenal, glad to see they've maintained their high quality since the pandemic. Prices are fair and service is good. Best for takeout as the dining area is small, but it's clean and well-appointed inside.
Delicious food. Very healthy and filling. Enjoyed moussaka and brisket.
Today was my first visit and Greek food is my all time favorite food to eat. The price for their avgolemono is worth it. Great sized portion, wonderful flavor, the addition of dill is lovely, and the gal at the front counter was very pleasant and helpful. I don't love that they charge for pita with the soup but again, it's worth it. Can't wait to return and enjoy more of their menu.
We are very particular eaters, this restaurant is very clean and main lamb dish was excellent and the beaf gyro was very good. If this place could have been in a better location and food served on China with silverware with alcoholic drink the price could have been tripled. Thanks for the good food. We enjoyed it.
Excellent Greek food in a quick to go place. I get to go all the time here. You won't find better quality. The Moussaka and Greek Lemon Potatoes are my favorite but the bowls, the Gyros and everything else is great!
THE BEST lamb sandwich on the Westside. Crispy and tender lamb with tomato, parsley and onion nestled in the lightest, fluffiest bread. I will be dreaming about you until we meet again. The stuffed grape leaves are also delicious. Go and try now if you have not. (The owner is also personable and friendly)
I love their Greek Salad! Ordered it today but topped with salmon and it was delicious! Freshest vegetables and fish cooked just right. Great service too! I was going to post a photo but was too hungry and forgot. Lol!
Best Greek spot on the Westside! Highly recommend their Greek salad—super fresh veggies seasoned just right and topped with a perfectly creamy/salty chunk of feta. Also, their avgolemono soup. Perfect texture and seasoned with just the right amount of fragrant oregano. So good.
This has become a go-to takeout spot for my boyfriend and I. The food has been flavorful and fresh each time we’ve gotten it.
Very tender and succulent gyros. I prefer a little more flavor. This would be easily fixed during non COVID times with table side condiments. For safety's sake I ate in my car which unfortunately was lacking in seasonings
Proper Greek Restaurant. Love the Greek staff. They treat us like family (we orrder takeout once or twice a month from Ela). As good as it gets on the West Side. 💯 The lamb gyro will never disappoint you. Afkaristo 🙏🏼
We absolutely LOVE Ela as an easy and savory option in the Venice-Santa Monica-WestLA area. We've tried the fresh quinoa bowls, lamb and falafel kebabs, moussaka, the seasoned fries and side of chicken and we recommend ALL dishes. There's something about their seasoning that makes it a more original and fresh experience. We usually order on google/ postmates and the takeout is always ready on time.
This place is so good! I got the lamb gyro with the tzatziki sauce. They use fresh ingredients. The pita and lamb is delicious. Ordering online through caviar was really easy so you never have to exchange money or a credit card in person. Great!!
ELA is an authentic Greek Western Tarpon Springs. Lamb Gyro custom with Greek Fries. AVA was great
What a beautiful experience. Hood aint the best but the food rocks. Quinoa lamb bowl. Quinoa nicely prepared with a light olive balsamic sauce I believe. Lamb was crispy not the best lamb I ve had but the sauce on top sealed the deal. Place looks clean as you enter and everything is fresh.
Ordered 2 gyro combos and grape leaves by walk in. When received only had 1 gyro meal and grape leaves. My mistake I didnt double check to see if order was right. He quickly apologized and said if we want he can make another and gave us a brisket bowl on the house while waiting! Very very nice and wonderful customer service. Restaurant was spotless and prices were great. Best Greek I've ever had! Highly recommended to anyone craving a Mediterranean meal!
Amazing food, wonderful staff, everything is so fresh and delicious. They also accommodate for gluten free (you can swap pita for cucumbers if you need with your hummus!) Love this place.
my favorite Greek! 10/10 lemon potatoes, gigantes and lamb gyros! love Mediterranean food and it’s my go-to order spot. it’s always fresh prepared with love.
Very nice spot in Venice. Very friendly staff that answered all my questions. The lamb meat in the Gyros was very tender and soo good. The Baklava was nice and flaky and just the perfect amount of sweet. Will come here again and try out more stuff.
Good was fantastic quality. Lamb gyros, meat was perfectly cooked, fresh tomatoes, home made tzatziki. Staff was incredibly kind and courteous, restaurant was very clean and cute. You won’t have an hours long dinner there but it’s perfect if you’re looking for good food and quality. Fries come with parsley and Parm.
Best Falafel I’ve Had! I recently visited this small, cozy restaurant with only two tables, and I was blown away by their falafel. The flavor was incredible—crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned on the inside. Despite the size of the place, the service was outstanding.
Ela Greek Eat is a nice restaurant. The food is good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We went with the Lamb Gyro’s and didn’t regret it. The fries were also really good. I would choose Ela Greek Eats for a quick healthy bite to eat anytime.
Truly authentic Greek food. A Greek salad with proper big tomato chunks, Greek cucumber and a single slab of proper Greek feta. Moussaka that I could eat a whole pan of. Dolmadikia. I worked in Greece for 2 summers and this took me back in time. Thank you so much.
First time trying this place and we loved it!!!! Can’t recommend enough. The crispy lemon potatoes were out of this worlddddd. So lemony and garlicy. Honestly topped our main plates. Both the chicken and steak were so delicious. The atmosphere was great and clean. Such a great place to eat! Definitely worth stoping and trying it out for yourself!

Great food. The lamb is amazing. So assuming in this small plaza. I usually go here and the X-Press dry cleaners next door once a week. It’s my Thursday routine. Pickup dinner and cleaning. The owner is really cool and the workers are chill.
Literally my favorite place in the area to get take out from. The veggies are fresh, the hummus is creamy and flavorful, the falafel is never dry, and the brisket practically melts in your mouth. I wish I could get a cookbook to learn their secrets.
We love ordering take out from here. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Delicious.

The food would be so much better if it was less salty. Fresh ingredients, reasonable portion size. Just so salty it doesn’t let you taste anything else in your meal. I would buy so much more if I could handle the salt.
Too small. Decent food, but management needs to be just a little bit better!! And they need to find a bigger building, because there's only 3-4 tables and the high top, which is very uncomfortable to dine at. Really good food though.
The food is great but the portions are small for the price. It’s very clean food which makes up some for the price.
This is a clear cut greek cafe. Very clean and nice decor as you walk in. You wouldn’t expect it from the plaza. As for the food: I got the chicken bowl. Everything was fresh, but nothing really stood out to me. Also quite expensive given the relatively average/small portion. Everything was good, the food was consistent and healthy. But nothing was truly “excellent”, so thats why i gave 4 stars. Nothing extra tasty, no incredible sauce, not a value meal pickup… there’s just something missing to take it to the next level.
I ordered the falafel pita wrap with tzatziki and fries. Couldn’t really taste the chick peas. The other items in the wrap were fine. Fries were good. Fast service, the cashier was pleasant, small restaurant with 3 tables and 4 stools at a counter to eat on.
Very tasty falafel. I'm picky with falafel since sometimes they come too hard or flavorless but this one was very good texture and taste. Service was friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend. A bit expensive if you get a bowl and side (around $20+). Other than that it's excellent.

Ok, this was a great Gyro, but, for $16 ?! you got to be kidding me. It was really good, but not like "wow" good. This was 1/2 the size of a normal Gyro, I ate it and I was still hungry. For $16?! nope, I won't go there again.
A small place to have decent Greek food. Their prices are higher than other Greek places I have eaten. The food taste good and okay, it didn't really entice me to come back for a next visit. Portions were just okay. The staff was friendly but not engaging to talk about their food. The parking is limited and hard to get into the busy intersection it is located in. I just parked in the street. I would go back if I was craving Greek and have extra money to spend.
Overall a good spot, reasonable priced but I'm docking it a point as dine in is served on disposable containers and disposable plastic cups. The gyros is nice and the bread especially spot on, slight thickness and chewy as it should be. Lemonade is fresh made and great price at $2 but very sweet, had to dilute it with water.

One of the worst places I have ever been. Find a better place to spend your hard earned cash
It’s been a while since I’ve ordered a take-out meal that was so bad that I had to throw it away before finishing it, and scramble to eat something else for lunch. I went to this restaurant today and was not a fan. The cheese they used on the fries was so stinky and the fries were super soggy. The gyro meat was not crisp like I usually like it, it was a little soggy, and the cucumbers only added to the wateriness. Everything smelled like the cheese and I just absolutely couldn’t get myself to eat it.
