I've been coming here since '88 and it's still fantastic! Definitely try the garlic chicken rice and the hot mint chicken dishes I've been living in Seattle since '85 and whenever I'm in town I make it a point to eat my favorite dishes here. The restaurant has gone through a nice renovation inside. The owner is awesome!
I just ordered tofu pad Thai. It was delicious !! I will definitely order it again and will also try other dishes. Highly recommend this place
The food is AMAZING! I have been eating this restaurant for 39 years. Same owner and the food continues to be delicious. The service is wonderful, I love the restaurant, the service and specially the food! I definitely recommend Emerald Thai.
This Is a Great neighborhood spot. Good for a quick bite alone or with a group of people. Highly recommend.
Can't believe we've lived in Culver City for 2 years and never tried this place before, but boy what a great surprise. Food tastes homemade, fresh, simply delicious and cooked with Grandma-like love. We'll be back soon!
The food was absolutely mesmerizing. Every dish was amazing. I just wish the inside was more welcoming, the place was completely silent, it needs better ambience.
Great food!!! We passed by and decided to give it a try. So worth it!! Everything was amazing! Recommend to anyone looking to have great Thai food!
Number one spot for takeout in the Culver City area. This spot has been around for decades and has plenty of loyal customers because of the delicious food and attentive service. There are some weeks where I order here more than three times and it's always ready within 15 minutes. Vegetarian friendly—my favorite dish is the tofu cashew nut entree, maybe with some egg rolls to warm up. Honorable mention to the kaeng kari kai (yellow curry) and pad see ew (flat noodle entree).
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in LA. Theyve been here for a long time and the owner/server is the best (so friendly) Food is DELICIOUS
I think I had their shrimp pad thai once in 2016, with thai iced tea, and it was AMAZING. I still dream about their pad thai -- no other pad thai I've had since has come close.
The food was flavorful and the portions were fair. The Thai ice tea was was sweet and Yummy. I loved the white rice, it was cooked to perfection. I had the wonton soup and it had a nice flavor. It had ground chicken, which tasted quite good.
Amazing place to eat. Highly recommend. Everything is delicious, especially the curry!!!
Haven't eaten here in some years. But I know they have they best food around... if Nick is still there I know the food is still the same. My step-dad Dr. Miller started me going there. When I come back to Cali I'm going to have my favorite, stuffed chicken wings and crab rice. Ummmm good..
We have been coming to Emerald Thai Cuisine for over 10 years. Nid, is very welcoming, the food is very authentic, not to mention, really delicious. Since we moved out of the area, we try to make our way to Emerald’s.
I use to come here way back in the day. The food is the best. Nick was a really cool dude, if he's still there. Moved out of Cali, so I haven't been there for some time. Glad to know that they're still in the same spot. Next time I'm in Cali I'll be sure to stop in for those stuffed chicken wing and that crab fried rice😋😋.
The BEST Thai food. I’m shocked this place isn’t packed every day. I’ve been living LA for several years and have been on the hunt for good Thai food - and this is the only spot that serves real Thai food. The service is exceptional and I’ve ordered practically every dish on the menu and have loved each item I’ve ordered. You can’t beat the prices either! The average dish is about $10.00 per item. Highly recommend!
My first experience with thai food. This spot did not disappoint. All the dishes we ordered were amazing. They definitely exceeded my expectations. The service was great, and we got our food pretty quickly. This place is definitely a hidden gem.
Wonderful, affordable and authentic Thai food in a low-key setting. Family owned business from 1985, so if it survived this long, it really means something. The staff (owners) and service are amazing, very helpful, humble and down to earth people, serving traditional dishes - it really feels good eating here, and I always happily come back. Thank you Emerald Thai Cuisine! And I hope you'll stick around for a long time!
Food was served quickly and it was delicious..Everyone working there is so nice and attentive.
I come to visit family here in Culver City and order takeout at least a handful of times! Just tried the spicy tofu salad and the soft shell crab papaya salad and both are my new immediate favorites. The thai iced tea is also a classic and really well made here!
My parents have been bringing me here since I was 1 year old. It is the best Thai food on the west side and has been family owned and operated just as long! We love The Emerald!
Been going here for many years and the owner seems always remember me. Great tasting 😋 food always and service is always amazing 👏.
Delicious Thai Food. Fast service. Good prices.
Best rice noodle ever. Vegetarian Tom kar with tofu was delicious and refreshing with fresh vegetables. The water was super helpful and polite.
1st time eating here. I had Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and a delicious soup, spicy, and Savory Yum Tom. Very reasonable prices

Best Thai food in town and very affordable. We loved it so much that my fiance and I come here twice a week and we got them catered our engagement party. I highly recommend this place.
The food was delicious! We had the veggie spring rolls and fried tofu for apps and then we each had our own entree. I can't remember what everyone else had, I had yellow curry with tofu and it was DELICIOUS! Hands down best yellow curry I've ever had. Tofu was cooked amazingly - it had the best texture and flavor. Service was wonderful - friendly and quick. It's a small place, we ate outside. Many people came to pickup food and the eat inside. At the time of our visit, masks were still required.
We heard about this place while dining at another restaurant. Thought we’d give it a try. The egg rolls were my favorite! So good we ordered a second serving. Everything was yummy.
I love this place so much! one of the best Thai spots in the area, great service, low-key vibes but cozy. Huge portions and affordable!
My boyfriend and I were looking for a Thai place and came across this one and it did not disappoint! Bomb Thai food 🤤can’t go wrong with this place!

I must say they have the best BBQ chicken entree. So delicious and sweet. Pad Thai is always off the hook I add shrimp on mine.overall amazing dishes and clean food
This is a pretty casual restaurant. Imagine the atmosphere of a deli or pizza place, mostly low seated booths a register and kitchen you can see from your seat, not too many patrons. The food is good and the prices are low. If you're close by and want some quick and cheap thai food, Emerald Thai will match most other places you've been for half the price.
The food is pretty good although light on some portions of meat. This isn't a huge issue though. I consider this place pretty good eats for locals.
An oldie but a goodie. Been coming here for i think 30 years. Same owner and still working here. Love the pad Thai and bbq chicken.
Really good Thai food the parking is a little shitty
Great restaurants. Food was great. The parking is on the street.
The Thai food here is decent for the West Side. The cup of water given to me still had lipstick on the rim. I would recommend the Panang Curry. I would not recommend the Chicken Satay, the chicken is not marinated enough and lacks flavor, the peanut sauce also lacks flavor.

Service was quick, but I did have to find the condiments, food missed on everything I got, veggies were bland, duck was all bone and tempura along with the Thai iced tea were the best part. Parking was difficult.
Emerald Thai is one of a few local Thai spots for us. I’ve had it a few times and it’s generally been mediocre. Today’s order has convinced me not to come back. Pad see yew, fried tofu, som tum, and red curry - all underwhelming and just not worth the cost. The curry was the wateriest curry I’ve probably ever had. I want this place to be good, but today was the nail in the coffin - not going back.
The older owner still whines and whines about his business that turn a turn decades ago, but recently refused to honor a lunch special price for a regular customer because it was 10 minutes after the designated time. Too bad because the food was so consistent and good for decades, even the tried and true Pad Thai and enormous stuffed chicken wings - delicious, fragrant and seasoned perfectly. He should retire, turn it over to the young guys relative, who knows that service is as important as food.

Ordered for delivery. 1st time customer. The pad ka prao was good but a very small portion, the Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with chicken and the pineapple fried rice was sooo bland and the brown rice sides were so mushy and gross. You can tell just by looking at it that’s it was overcooked. Please do better. That brown rice was surprising. You should not serve something like that. Better make customers wait and get it right. I’m being generous with 3 stars.

This is what I got for ordering pad Thai on Uber eats. Does it look even little bit like what they put in menu? The noodle is almost pure white color. Tastes bitter and smells sour. Almost no flavor at all. Worst pad Thai I have ever had. This is the first time I tried this restaurant, not sure if they forget to put pad thai sauce or it has been like this? Again, too bad to eat, have to post this for other ppl to know
Bad experience!! I ordered through postmates so i ordered the garlic and chicken with broccoli and garlic rice, and I fisrts off they gave me very small portion and the rice was hard and crunchy as I was chewing, but I the bad part was I started having digestive issues after eating that rice! Please be aware that they might give you old rice 🍚 the other meal i Ordered for my boo was fine the chicken was cool and the jasmine rice was fair! But my meal was a waste of money 💵! I had to call customer service but waited for 2 1/2 hours to finally get to someone to get to someone to tell me I could get a partial refund or store credit for the expired rice or what it was. So disappointing I was hungry too😫😫😣😣
I don't understand how this place is still in business. The service is terrible. Several times I asked for napkins and each time the man brought me one napkin. Worse than that was the food. I ordered the winter shrimp and it was so greasy it was inedible. Plus the shrimp tasted like nothing. I also ordered the Tom kha soup and at first they brought me the tom yum soup. After I told him it was wrong he brought me the right thing but it was the worst Tom kha soup I've ever had. Like I say I don't know how this place stays in business. Avoid it like the plague
Sorry to say, the food was awful, ordered Mongolian beef the beef was like leather, the Orange chicken was soggy. The rice was hard, Chow Mein had an aftertaste , Tom-Kar was very salty, Chicken Satay I want to tell you what that taste like! Last one Gang Ga- Ree Kai another one we don’t want to talk about. Again, sorry to say had some friends over and everybody gave it a thumbs down. One friend said panda express is a lot better than this. Called and spoke to the manager. He thought it was funny.
The Mongolian beef dish had a piece of bright yellow plastic in it. The green curry dish was so artificially green that it was unappetizing. This green came from food coloring and not curry powder. Each of these plates cost $16. Utter insanity.
