Everything is good here, the vibes are perfect, it feels like a treehouse cafe. great place to meet for coffee or lunch, great spot for brunch. Food is simple and really good quality and thats all it needs to be. Their baked goods are excellent.

I had this place bookmarked for a while and I finally got to try it a few months ago. The menu isn't extensive, but they have great options. Healthy choices, meaty choices, veggie options and plenty to satisfy any sweet tooth. I ordered roasted chicken with two veggie sides and it was delicious. Good portions. My wife split a breakfast burrito with our older daughter and she exclaimed it was the "cleanest" burrito she's ever had that was still delicious. The avocado toast looked amazing and a simple egg sandwich for our youngest who devoured it in no time. The interior of the restaurant is very cozy. The design is that of being inside a very comfortable hillside home. You get the feeling your in a cottage and since it sits on the 2nd floor, your view isn't of the busy street below. There is plenty of patio seating available as well. The space is not big, so don't expect to be able to sit a party of six or more. I can't wait to go try this place for brunch and let my sweet tooth take over.

The food was so delicious. The portion of the steak was small but ok. The kale salad could have used more dressing. Overall it was light and nice.

It’s often hard to find a good restaurant that offers gluten-free options that isn’t vegan or bouge🧐. Came up to LA to visit my daughter and find a spot for lunch and this place hit the nail on the head in every category! The environment is charming and calm. The food is exceptional. We had the salmon skin tacos, and the beef brisket bowl. The food is flavorful and well seasoned without being too spicy! They also seem to offer a nice selection of desserts. I wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of ordering gluten-free cheesecake, but I have to say it started out good and got better with every bite! Thank you for offering a diverse menu that is rich in flavor!

Really enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. The food is healthy and beautifully presented. We ordered salmon with two sides and chinese short rib(I'm not sure if I remember the menu name correctly).

LOVE this place. Great seating, inside and out. Has very nice cozy, home vibes while having spectacular food. Got the salmon bowl which was very filling and made me feel better about myself cause it seems healthy 😆. They have a lot of hot foods on display but also make-to-order options. The people there are all really kind, too. A few parking spots out in front, but also plenty of street parking available.

Such a cute little spot! Food is delicious along with the strawberry agua fresca. It didn’t taste syrupy and had the perfect sweetness to it. Love love the potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes are perfectly crispy with a sweet tang to it. The Dutch baby with the fried chicken was tasty (it comes out hot so be careful) and the steak bowls and plates were delicious too.

Love that place!! It’s on second floor you have to go by stair. And they have outside seats which under a big tree. We choose indoor since too hot. Food is healthy and delicious 🤤 try their sides! Parking is limited (4 spots?) in front of the stair. Have to find street parking.

This small restaurant puts out great food! Our first time here and I have to say I'm impressed. From the tasty, very fresh food to the jazz playing overhead. I had the crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken was tender and juicy, despite being fried. If I had one complaint, it was a bit too spicy for me, but that didn't stop me from devouring it. We tried a lot if their sides. My favorite was the kale and arugula salad. The Bulger wheat salad was also tasty. My wife enjoyed her adobo chicken bowl. It had a whole leg of chicken, arugula salad, on white rice and a fried egg to complete it. She enjoyed it completely. For dessert, we split the buttermilk cake, that had a strawberry on top of the cream cheese icing. It was really, really good. People have remarked that it is pricey, but I felt the quality was well worth it. Also to note, there is a small parking lot in the back. This is my new favorite restaurant for California/American cuisine.

Parking tends to be a challenge but Forage is definitely worth the struggle. Fantastic food, every time. Highlights for me are the salmon and the Korean fried chicken. Don’t forget to grab a coffee on your way out. I’ll return for sure! Again and again!

Great experience at Forage — We had the salmon bowl, roasted chicken, beet salad, spanakopita, and the tuna poke — and honestly loved every single thing. The quality of the ingredients really comes through, the flavors are all balanced, and you can tell everything is sourced and made with care. The daytime beverage program is a lot of fun and more delicious than it needs to be considering the food is the star. Service was relaxed but prompt, thorough, and friendly. Forage is one of those spots that just gets it right without being pretentious or trying too hard. We'll be back ASAP.

Honestly I’m here weekly if not multiple times a week. I love the environment, the staff and the food is on my mind all the time. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Great local place with freshly prepared delights! We shared the three combo sides of fries, kale salad and couscous which were all excellent and enough for three people to share. For entrees we had the pizza slice, chicken sandwich, burger and flat iron steak which were all excellent. The server recommended the chocolate chip cookie which went perfectly with the Miso Maple latte! Would definitely come back! Also has a good selection of beers and wines.

I let the the nice lady at the counter know that I had a gluten allergy and she asked if I was Celiac, I says no. She told me that the potatoes are fried in a fryer with other breaded foods. I says as long as the potatoes don't have a coating on them, and you make them extra well burnt, I believe it changes the molecular structure of the gluten and it doesn't bother me. Every time I get limp french frys that is fried in the fryer with other wheat stuff, it becomes an issue. I had a most awesome plate. And when I wanted a second beer the bartender said that I have to go and pay it to register. I said oh I'm eating never mind. And she says you have a card. I says yes. I gave her my card and she brought me another wonderful frosty draft beer.

My friends and I always come here to gather for a meal and catch up!!! This place is our favorite for every reason you can imagine! Perfectly tucked away with delicious food options and gorgeous seating! Wonderful service and I’m just so happy this place exists. The only thing is no WiFi and no phone service hehe but honestly that’s good because it keeps us off our phones.

One of my favorite places to get a quick but fresh and delicious meal and a glass of wine. The patio is beautiful and perfect and everyone is really nice. Perfect for post-gym or work, date night, business lunch, just about any occasion. Good noise level too. Salmon bowl, three sides, or the pizza are in my regular rotation. There’s a ramp on the side for those who can’t do stairs. Few parking spaces in the front but there’s usually pretty easy street parking. One of my go-to’s!

Though the steak was small in portion, it was succulent and had a beautiful chimichuri sauce to brighten it. The potatoes had an aromatic garlic topping that made a heavy dish light. The salad was well dressed and had goat cheese to add richness. It’s been a decade since I’ve last been to Forage. The quality is still impeccable. Would recommend for lunch and would come back again. Only issue is finding parking (street parking) and it is not easily accessible for those with mobility needs.

The out door patio is cute, I would have love to eat out there but there were no heaters. Parking is a bit difficult but the atmosphere and food are great. The menu is for meat and non meat eaters. Order first and then find a seat very small but cute place. We enjoyed our food.

The chocolate cake tasted so old and there was hardly any frosting on it. The service was not very attentive. Everything was served without silverware and the bottle of water without a glass. We had to ask for everything even though there were hardly any people there. The savoy dishes were ok. But overall disappointed 😞 Such a beautiful place with so much potential if they would just care more.
