Love the vibe! The owner and staff are super friendly. Plus they’ve got this sweet photo booth in the back.
Good neighborhood vibes. Love the open window daytime feels. A huge outdoor area, and a gorgeous event space for dance, live music, and comedy. The lighting is another level of gorgeous. Great live music, good neighborhood service, pop up food spots…. Nailed it TeeGee
the lanky doorman/bartender sure makes a good cold brew drink for the sobers. he was polite!
What a cute little gem of a place out in Atwater! Dunno how I'm just now discovering it (it's because I never go out these days...and especially haven't spent much time or explored much on the Eastside), but I'll definitely be back for some live music and dancing under those gorgeous disco balls. Moody with an amazing back patio this place has character and ambiance for days. Love it!
Club Tee Gee is a cool spot. Thursday is my favorite night because of the burger pop-up, TNT Burgers and Peacock Comedy—I wish the DJ was better. I would stay longer. There isn’t a consistent vibe on the patio. Nice people but heavy on the Young Urban Professional vibes. Last Thursday, I went for a few burgers and the people sitting next to me had the most dry, cornball conversation…(Disclaimer: I love corny conversations but not the dry NPR-type with a B flat monotone frequency). Perhaps, the DJ is selecting bad songs because they are trying to match the audience…but no. I can’t remember the DJ’s name and if it is the same DJ every Thursday. All I know is that I order some sliders, buy a beer, eat my burgers and leave. If the music or the vibes were better I’d stay longer. I like large outdoor area with picnic tables. Parking is easy and is located behind the bar. Drinks are reasonable. Service is normal. I love the photo of Bobby Womack on the wall. i would love to buy off the owner. It belongs in my living room. I doubt less than 1% of the patrons know how about Bobby Womack and his guitar skills.
I don't know about the food. The atmosphere was great. Music is perfect. I highly recommend this place.
I love this place, especially the patio after visiting the farmer’s market on Sundays. They sometimes have a DJ and tons of outdoor seating that’s dog friendly.
I came here on a whim after wanting to avoid the crowds at Zebulon. Honestly this bar is a hidden gem, and thank god it hasn’t been flipped upside down and turned into condos. The outside is a neon lit heaven from the 1960s. You enter and the staff are warm from the get go. There is a left and a right side to the bar: The right side is a sizable dance floor complete with a gigantic disco ball, Dj booth, a couple leather booths, and panther sculptures. They played disco and funk this very day and the crowd was diverse and cool. The left side is the bar where there a probably 5 or six extremely comfortable retro leather booths. They have a great tequila selection but you can also order a $4 Tecate. My kind of joint full of vibe that i can’t wait to try again!
Cool little dive bar with lots of characters! On Sundays in April, they have Yellow Paper Burgers serving good burgers!!
Pulled up here randomly with a large (20+) group of friends after a Sparks game and it was a time. Good space, good vibes.

It's like an upscale Boardners
Cool vibe
Panther Club is amazing!

Wow! What a gem!
Dance the night away

Nice people
Go on Thursdays. Great way to kick off the weekend
lacks the dirty ‘charm’ of the original but well done!
Love this quaint little spot for a beer with pals.
Fun bar/club. Good young vibe.
Great spot, great drinks, great staff
peacock show is always great
It was lit Friday nights.
A true historic dive bar that caters to the everyman. The staff and locals here are among the friendliest around! Thank you for not being a hipster bar and staying true to your core.
First time I went they asked if I had reservations ???? I said " yes but I've decided to eat here anyways " ooooooooo buurrrnnnn Cool hang I like it, not many people know this a couple of Doors Down was the Beastie Boys production office check it out
Ver cool club it gives exposure to young bands. It's nicely decorated also. Hip customers
Love this bar. Been going there since 2001 and the remodel is awesome. Bar staff is the best. Niko and all the bartenders are aces.
Peacock show consistently has excellent comics. Great bar scene, dark and cool.
Love this places vibe. Dark room and dim lights. Two pretty girls for bartenders. The drinks okay.
A great local spot! I’ve had so many fun nights here, most recently for Halloween, which was BUMPIN.
With new management and the remodeling and the DJ's that are spinning, have chaned the vibe and made it open for all to come in and boogie down!
Cool dive bar, cash only. Not too crowded or full of hipsters like all the other ones.
Fun bar, a little laud for conversation. Dancing was unexpected but awesome.
Great local spot. On weekends there's a farmer's market in the back lot.
The greatest damn bar in the whole f*ckin world!!
Great looking spot for sure.
We went to karaoke and had a ball!
Small and divey. Great place to get drinks.
Go to Peacock Comedy on Thursday nights! So funny!!
Kool local hangout spot. Each night has a different event. It was a Thursday night and comedy show in the back bar. Local comics and national acts trying out new material. TnT Hamburgers popup vendor on the back patio, serving the best sliders on the map.. OMG 🤯 I had the Classic Cheeseburger, A Fatboy (dbl cheeseburger) and the Super Sonic HotDog. Amazing!! Treat yourself and try these sliders!! Several other options on the menu.
We stopped by last night to grab a drink and we’re spoiled by the sparkle and great experience. The bartender was was super sweet. Made great ginger drinks.Offered great tequila choices. And made us want to come back again much sooner!
The weekly Peacock Comedy Show here on Thursdays is absolutely 5 stars! I've been multiple times and it has always inspired lots of laughter. It's definitely a show I'd return!
One of the best bars on the east side! I love the disco vibe it has with the sparkly ceiling. A great spot to meet up with friends and they have fun tunes you can dance to!
Staff was great. Use to work in the industry when in college. 8years . Found the young ladies on Saturday night amazing attentive and fun. They never missed a q. It was crazy packed music was loud but they attended to my date and I with impeccable form. Definitely coming back... Thank you ladies..
Long time local watering hole which was bought by Afghan Whigs front man at some point. They have a nice patio seating area out back which is pretty new i believe. Otherwise it's mostly a bar bar, good place to hang out with friends for drinks and not a bad place to drink alone either.
Great spot to hang out with friends! The staff is as attentive and welcoming as at Eugeneprotattoo, where I recently got a tattoo. Loved it!
Hella chill dive bar and they also allow outside food
One of the best bars in Los Angeles, let alone Atwater Village. Pouring with a heavy hand, playing tunes on a great jukebox, keeping it real in an old-school bar. We miss Betty, the owner, but we're happy the Tee-Gee's doors are still swinging.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good music. A fantastic local old school bar with live music.
Such a fun place to go for a weekend night. Then hit the dance floor (that area opens around 11pm). Music varies but almost always a good mix. Crowd is fairly diverse, excellent bartenders. Self-serve water available and appreciated (take note, other bars)

Depends on the DJ but large dance floor is fun for a night out. :)
Good, stiff drinks. Cheers!
First time here. DJ played my song and I love him for it. Don't know his name though. Long hair with a hat. Thank YOU!!
Only visited 2x. A great local bar for the area. I can't really review more than that. The bartender was fast and serves em quick.
Four stars because I can't find the appeal of anything on the menu cocktail or beer-wise - but as for everything else atmosphere and socially - it's a quintessential LA experience not to be missed.
Fun and cool but there were too many weird dudes. Ha ha idk what they can do about this but positive change in this regard would be tight.
Great atmosphere, attentive bartenders, cool Radiohead jazz night on Mondays. $$
It's still a great place! It's under new management.
First time at this bar in Atwater Village. It has been in this location a long time. Was not very crowded at around 10 pm. I ordered a frozen watermelon cocktail which had rum and vodka in it. Served in a plastic cup and cost $10.00. The inside was very dark but they have a large outdoor patio which is open til 10:30 pm. I sat outside for a few minutes and then took off with my cocktail for my walk back home. I don't frequent bars very often and the prices are the main reasons why. Ten dollars a cocktail and Six dollars for a beer are too much for my budget. My waitress was very friendly though.
Nice small lil spot. Good drinks. The night I went had good dance music for a while. Then the DJs for the night took a weird turn. Definitely a spot to swing by and feel out
Nice atmosphere with great leather booths inside and large picnic tables outside for bigger parties. Only downsides are that they are always packed on the weekends so it can take a while to get a drink at the bar and the exterior closes at 10:30pm. Other than that, go check it out and check out a show next door.

Nice looking interior. They also have a large patio in the back. Cocktails were pretty good. They don't have much for happy hour though. There's also a side room that opens up later for dancing or other events. Come earlier for a friendly neighborhood bar type of environment. Street parking or a small lot in back.

Cool ceiling and big outdoor area but terrible bathroom situation and tiny drink portions
Cheap, strong drinks. Not even remotely pretentious. But don't go for the decor.
For a Saturday night, it was fun, nice DJ, margarita was too salty and the ambient is visually nice, but was too hot! It’s very uncomfortable dancing and sweating a lot because there is zero ventilation. Please, add some fans or turn the AC in max potency because it’s horrible to dance with the feeling you are melting.
the jukebox is still good I guess
This place was okay, but I got sick from a street vendor called The Burger Warrior that was serving rawish meat no sinks to wash up. I needed food in my stomach but those street burgers did me wrong and I couldn't say no after a fun night at club needed something in my system.
Drinks were not tasty, but what was worse was the service. Saw the bar tender have multiple issues with other customers before he got to me. He gave me attitude when I ordered my drink, the girl sitting next to me tapped on my shoulder and said “he’s such an a$$hole.” I ordered a second drink with another bartender. I asked for something sweet and received a very sour grapefruit drink. When I brought it back, she was annoyed, dumped it and remade a more diluted version of the same drink. I’m sitting here now as I write this review. The best part about this bar was the ceiling that is black with gold glitter all over it.
Meh . They attempt to keep the dive bar feel after it was taken over and remodeled . I'm a LA native, atwarian at that! The ambience is more of a hipster bar with a mic of the old regs from before . For the price point , def not a dive bar . My husband is a reg from the day ( whiskey/coke type of man) , I on the other hand choose not to go there . I can go next door to the Tavern similar price point and get actual decent drinks !
Bad service, stand off-ish bartenders, bro-ish vibe, 2 drink minimum for credit cards (? lol) Came here for a friend’s birthday party last night and I gotta say it was not my vibe at all. There’s a certain kind of bartender that gives off the vibe like they’re mad you’re there and you’re annoying them by ordering… that was the bar team last night. Drinks certainly weren’t bad but they were mid at best. I watched my bartender short me in gin. I ordered a negroni, they measure their drinks here, I watched her finish off the bottle of gin before it filled the measurement and I confirmed my suspicion when I drank it. Not terrible but a very unbalanced negroni. I haven’t been to a “2 drink minimum for cards” place in over a decade so I got a chuckle out of it. I get it if it’s a card fee thing for the establishment but I wonder if they’re aware of the stereotype of 2 drink minimum bars. Anyway gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I’ll have to admit I’m slightly bias. It’s not my vibe from the beginning so I can’t to hardly critical.
Good decor and atmosphere. Drinks are small and high priced. The lanky barback/doorman scoops up "empty" glasses much too fast, not actually checking if the drinks are finished. The female bartender on the Peacock side does the same. I guess that's one way to try and generate more drink orders!

Horrible!!!
unprofessional and disappointing
Lol I don't like this place and the music choices have disappointed me time and time again
amazing place but WHY do they close the beautiful patio area at 10??
Not that great of a spot. DJ blowed.
Horrible service...One star, I actually did get my drink when I went to the bar
They don’t take Apple Pay and they treated me like dirt for not having any other way of paying. Is it me, or is it absurd that a bar wouldn’t take Apple Pay in 2022? There was one girl, in a Versace shirt, who treated me like a human. Go figure. I, of course, paid in full. (After some wrangling, they agreed to key in my card details, and I left a nice tip. Maybe they will put it towards some NFC readers).
Asked a bar back why the other half of the bar was was closed off tonight. He told me it was “the office” I guess I look like an idiot but I’ve been to your bar before, was just asking a question 🤙
Was chill, but there was this one girl bartender who wouldn't let me put a drink on my friend's tab. So I paid for my own drink no problem. But then made me get another saying two drink minimum. Seemed like a way to get more money out of me. All this while giving attuide. Its a shame that one bad employee could ruin a whole bar experience.
everything is good, as long as you don't live anywhere near here, music is blasting until 2am every night. Every one has a right to relax and enjoy the ambiance. Residents in the area also love the music blasting through the area to create their own ambiance without having to visit the bar. Visitors and guests of the establishment are loud and tend to forget that people are sleeping in the surrounding area. This makes for a fun experience regardless of you want to be part of it or not. Too bad management and ownership don't respect the folks that live in the area and gauge how they feel about the how thing. Happy holidays and happy new year.
I'm sure all these things are great but the patrons that attend this establishment come out and make noise and disturb the neighborhood. the owner uses the guide of COVID to continue run the club outside and has no regard to what the neighbors think or feel. let me go to their neighborhood they come from and start talking out loud in front of their house. the owner has promised everything and nothing. n o w, they're playing club music outside my window and I'm waiting for it to die down when they're supposed to keep the volume down or just call the police because this is getting out of hand. Gen y and Gen z running amuck in my neighborhood and an owner and even staff that enables all this to happen for the sale of the mighty dollar and citing the constitutional rights they have without concern to anyone else's feelings.
Musicians: don't play here unless you want to make $25 for a 6 person band. Our band packed Tee Gee's bar and they served up weak overpriced drinks all night, only to say they simply can't afford to pay us more. I'm tired of the exploitation of musicians in LA, especially by venues that purport to support the music community. Never again...! I'm definitely going to get the word out to the UMAW community too.
