Delightful experience. Craved a crepe and got the strawberry Nutella banana one and it totally hit the spot
I had given a not so good review before by I want to leave a great review because of an isolated situation but I think the problem was solved. So now I am giving the review that I always wanted to give to that place… I love The French Crepes, it’s my to go place every weekend… I leave near by and love the atmosphere of the grove… The French Crepes is the cherry on the top every time I go to The Grove… The food is truly delicious! If you are in the LA area I highly recommend this place, it’s very clean, the staff is great and the food is amazing!! ❤️
I had a Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing that was wonderful! My wife had a Nutella and strawberry crepe that she really enjoyed as well. The 3 guys working were very friendly and attentive. I'll be back when in the area! We went back over a week later and had the same thing and it was as good as before!
This creperie is super cozy, even though it's a bit hidden because of construction. But it's open and they're really welcoming! Prices are low, and the vibe is cool. I really liked the savory crepe, it was interesting and tasty. The sweet one I got wasn't amazing, but it was still fine. They also have tea and coffee.
We were there weekday 11am and there were no lines and ample seating. It took about 10 minutes to get our food, and we enjoyed a walking around with our buzzer in hand. We got the Nordique (smoked salmon), Popeye (spinach goat cheese), and chicken wrap (came with a small side salad) savory buckwheat crepes, and the banana/strawberry/Nutella sweet crepe, all of which were delicious. A bit pricy but the portions were pretty filling shared between 3 adults and 1 child. Recommended and plan to come back again. They validate Farmer’s Market parking for up to 90 minutes.
They are friendly and make great food. I had the grilled cheese and the onion soup 🧅 and a crepe. Outdoor seating in the market it’s a nice shop and they are fast too didn’t wait long for our food.
not just crêpes panini also and really really tasty. have a good one and enjoy your meal
Excellent crepes, both sweet and savory. A savory crepe has lots of choices of filling. The French Crepe Company is located in the Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax. So it's outdoor dining but protected from the wind. An excellent quality during an upsurge in the pandemic. This place was closed when I first arrived in Los Angeles a little over a month ago, but it's open now. They seem to have changed their business plan a bit. The savory crepes no longer come with a salad. Otherwise the crepes are still delicious. I highly recommend the French Crepe Company. A side note: Google just sent me an email that I have 107 followers. I'm not sure why anyone would want to follow a Local Guide, but thanks for following me, I guess. If you'd be so kind as to mark those of my reviews that you think are helpful as helpful at the bottom of the review, that would be nice. I'm not sure what it would do, if anything, but Google keeps track of the number of people who think my reviews are helpful, and if I see the numbers go up after I post this review, it'll tell me that some of my followers read my reviews to the end.
Wow, what a culinary delight! I stopped by The French Crepe and ordered the Nutella strawberries and banana crepe, and it was absolutely amazing! The crepe was cooked to perfection, and the filling was generous and delicious. The combination of the warm crepe, sweet Nutella, fresh strawberries, and ripe banana was heavenly. Big shout out to Elvis, the friendly and skilled crepe master who made my dish. His enthusiasm and passion for crepes are contagious! The French Crepe is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of France in LA. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and the service is top-notch. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors! Five stars aren't enough - I'd give The French Crepe ten stars if I could!
I like rebranding. Looks good. Im not a fan of their main crepes, 2 years ago it was better. Crepes were softer and cheese was better. But new salmon roll is really good, it works amazing with more hard texture of crepe and also comfortable to eat. I want more options of rolls maybe classic ham and cheese or mushroom and cheese. Good luck
Large and delicious crepes. We had banana and strawberry with nutella and powder sugar. Big enough to share. Love this crepe place in the lovely farmers market.
Crepes are outrageously good. I prefer savory crepes and they have a nice variety of those. It can run a little expensive, and drinks are not their forte. However a good french press is excellent 👌🏻. I love that the ingredients are fresh and they are made to order. Definitely our first stop at the Farmers market.
Crêpes were amazing, filling and crispy. Elvis thank you for your hard work, will come back!
I got a panini with goat cheese, basil, tomatoes, and olive spread. It was so delicious and had a generous amount of cheese. The bread was also crunchy and perfectly toasted. Service was quick and the waffles looked amazing. I’m going to have to try that next time!
Lovely crepe experience in the middle of Farmer's Market! Excellent quality and great service! Workers using appropriate protection as the prepare fresh meals
Love this place!!! Amazing crapes! Excellent service. These guys are friendly and quick. I love that I give I can of whip cream and a bottle of powder sugar at your seat to put on your crêpe as desired. They are generous with water too. Excellent!

Delicious, fresh, served hot, strawberry jam crepe with added fresh strawberries and whip cream.

Quick and easy ordering of food. Authentic crepes and high quality. Prices are around the market price for crepes. The sweet crepes are a $1-$2 above the market/average pricing. If you plan to get a savory & sweet crepes- it will be at least $22 (w/o tax). But they close at 9 pm- not 10 pm.

They switched management sometime in the past couple of years. We don't like the buckwheat crepes as well as the old savory crepes, and we miss the option of fresh vegetable fillings. The sweet batter is good though. Don't trust the hours listed on the Web, it seems like they're never open as early as they claim.
The crepe was done well! Ordered one beef and one seafood savoury crepe, although they were taste they were too stewlike for my preference, I was expecting an opened savoury crepe. Chestnut crepe was good!

It’s on a pricey side but the crepes are really big. So the buckwheat crepe is great as a gluten free and nutritious option

Dinner price, snack taste. This French crepe is located in the middle of the farmer market, not easy to find. It is charging a dinner price, but it really tastes and feels like a lunch or snack. For example, the crepe itself, it lacks the fresh, buttery, texture of the French crepe' s tastes. I feel the crepes in IHOP is better taste. Plus, the fillings can be very simple and taste strange. I ordered the one with cooked spinach, goat cheese and walnut, it tasted like a snack or lunch, but it was 18 dollars. Anyway, it is really a dinner price for a simple lunch or snack.
Overpriced crepes and waffles. Impossible to get them to not add butter on top
I have been a customer since the 80's. The French Crepe Company has always been a 5 Star experience from the food to the ambiance. Crepes, bacon and a French press coffee was the go to order. The regulars would come from near and far for their favorite dishes. I went today and to my surprise I was informed it was under new ownership. There is a new menu. One without bacon or the French press coffee. I'm sure there are some other things that were taking off the original menu due to the menu looking half the the size like the crepes. If you are regular who grew up on the French Crepe Company, please expect to see the difference. Hopefully your favorite dish is on the new menu under a different name. Also expect to pay more. I gave it 3 Stars when it should be 2 out of sentimental value. Happy Feasting! MH, Review Writer for The Daily Dish
A decent place to grab a crepe! I should have went sweet, but chose savory instead. I ended up getting a Smoked Salmon Crepe because I wanted something with a bit more substance. I chose the Smoke Salmon and it was okay. The Salmon was a bit overcooked, but was a good amount. It had capers and a small salad on the side. The crepe itself was a little dense from what I was expecting. Nonetheless, not a bad place in the farmers market here, but I'd go the sweet route instead!
I am a crepe lover...so when I saw this crepe place pop up on Yelp, I was excited! I make savory crepes at home occasionally since there aren't a lot of places that make them, and they take a lot of time to make, so I always appreciate finding a great crepe place. Headed off to the farmer's market, parked in the lot across the street. It was around 11 am, there was a short line and plenty of people there. I asked the cashier what was a recommended savory crepe. She said #7 - which was a chicken blended with carrots, green beans in a white sauce. I saw reviews that some crepes were dry, so I figured the one with sauce would be a good choice. Received the crepe - it looked nice and had a small bit of salad topped with a squeeze of dikon mustard. I took a bite of the crepe. Honestly, I was underwhelmed. It was quite mediocre. The crepe itself was lacking flavor, the chicken was dry and also lacking salt and flavor, and the sauce as well. To make it taste better I would cut a piece, spread out the saucy mix, and shake some salt and pepper on it. I also tried to mix in some of the salad with the dijon mustard with it, that also helped a bit. I was hungry so I ate it, but what I did notice as I sat there for a while is that the vast majority of people left half or more of their crepes. One had what looked like salmon in it, she took a few bites and the rest was left. Maybe the sweet crepes are better, the person she was with had a strawberry nutella crepe and he ate it all. So in sum...friendly and fast service, but the food was just not that great - at least what I ordered. Disappointing experience overall.

The food is great. I love the crepes. I don't like the attitudes. The guys who work there are not friendly at all. But I have been going here for more than 20 years despite the unfriendliness. However, I was there recently and the attitude I encountered was the last straw. I arrived at the location after 8 a.m. The week before they were opened before 8 a.m. Unfortunately, they were closed. I heard someone inside and called out to the person who just ignored me. I will not return.
I always had a great experience at the French crepes until today. I have breakfast at that place every Saturday and after breakfast I get a parking validation ticket, go buy some groceries and leave … Today I was met by a new employee that said that I could not get parking validation because it’s only for Farmers Market clients… I was really confused as I go there EVERY Saturday and was never refused that before… Now I am going to think if I still want to spend the money there if I’ll have to pay half of my breakfast when leaving the parking lot… The person that is always there was not there today so I don’t know if this new person just doesn’t know the rules or if the restaurant changed it but people who go there, want the great food and good experience and to spoil it over greed because of a Parking garage validation is not a good way if you intend to keep your loyal customers coming back to you…
Food is okay but very basic and extremely overpriced for what you get. I had the popeye crepe for $17,52 and a can of lemonade for $5,47... DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT

This used to be the best place for breakfast at The Farmer’s Market. It’s been a while since I’ve been there, so when I showed up with some family, I discovered that it’s entirely different than it used to be, from decor to the menu, an we were all thoroughly disappointed. Apparently, there is a new owner. NOTE TO OWNER: when you buy a successful business that everyone knows and loves, DON’T CHANGE IT! Add to the menu if you want, but when you completely change it, the people who know and love and expect something will be greatly disappointed and not return. Like me and my family. Since we can no longer get out favorites, there’s no reason to ever come back. The cute, french themed eatery which was once the most crowded spot any day of the week now sits empty. And on a Saturday— second to last from Christmas— when the market is crowded, it says a lot about how disappointed the community is. The “new” place has been here maybe about a year, and seeing that the long lines are gone and no one was at the tables, I think they’ll be out of business in another year.
This place used to be amazing and one of my favorite places to go. But after new ownership, T hey’ve turned to the most awful crepe place in LA. Food is so bland and boring, and they fired all the great people who worked here for many years out of the blue. Do not go here until they bring back the old menu. Notice how all the good reviews are from before the ownership change a year ago. New owners bought the place for nothing and just ruined it
It was good. However it took 20 minutes for a simple strawberry and sugar crepe. I asked how much longer and was snapped at then when it was ready the practically broke the plate slamming it down on the counter. I won’t be back they are all rude wish I hadn’t tipped before I got my food.
Ordered a tropical crepe with 2 eggs and toast and a coffee and water. Coffee was terrible. Crepe had things on it, not described in the menu. Plastic fork provided couldn't cut through the crepe. (They don't have silverware) They only do scrambled eggs. They don't have toast. No tap water. $3 for a bottle of water. Terrible place. Especially for the location. And I had trouble communicating with the primarily Asian-language-speaking employees. I don't know what's supposed to be "French" about this place at all. Unless they think serving garbage crepes makes it French? 🤷♂️
I came to try the sweet crepes, wishing to have a dessert Sunday, I ordered a nutella crepe with strawberries and banana and it came with soft fruits and about to rot, the banana when it is already black and feels like sand in my mouth and the strawberry were all damaged, I doubt that they have even washed them before putting them in the crepe. 🤮 I don’t recommend it!!
The crepes here used to be quite good, but now it’s called The French Crepes and it’s not that great. The sugar crepes were mid and the whipped cream is just the kind that comes from a can, not fresh cream. The spinach and walnut crepe was tasted bad and inedible. Not to mention it is a little pricey, so I would say skip this place and go to Trejos just next stall over!
This places new menu is so bad. Everything was flavorless and there are no fresh vegetables. Service is rude and slow. A total disappointment Skip this place. There are so many better spots!
Avoid this guy and his Crepe shop. Rude and yelled at me for borrowing a knife because I didn’t ask. Wouldn’t share his name but he’s definitely not French and no one at his little Crepe stand.
