Service was great, server was attentive and super quick with condiments and drinks. Kept checking in with our table and kept refilling our drinks, and the garlic bread which was phenomenal. I had the oxtail plate and it was soo good, definitely coming back to try some other things. Good size portions and somewhat pricey but well worth it
Nice crowd on a Monday night but, we didn't wait long. Val is our server and she is friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is clean and the food is phenomenal! Just like sitting in Mama’s kitchen. (Only better). This restaurant is top notch and authentic cuban food. This is a must try on your list. I had the awesome garlic chicken. It was also ordered a barbecue chicken dinner which looks just as good if not better. Everything is delicious. You won’t be disappointed. That you all for keeping this restaurant the way it should be!
Yes! They have Paella. Along with the other highly rated dishes, the Paella is awesome. I do remember calling in before arrival to order it. As it does take longer to make. Not this time. Walked in and ordered. It maybe added five minutes to our wait time.
I absolutely love this place. My wife is Cuban and she tell me this is the best you can get outside of Miami. All of the flavors are so rich. I recommend the Ropa Veija.
Always a great place for some good Cuban food and great service. Love exploring Cuban cuisine here. Todays faves: Beef empanadas Original Versailles garlic chicken Comes with rice black beans a and plantains yummmy Lomo salteado with rice and plantains ohhh those plantains 🙌 Pulled pork bbq sandwich served with yummy fried The plantains here are amazing cooked to perfection. And the bread they serve here is great as well don’t miss them🙌
First time coming here and I must say I had a wonderful experience. Not only was the food delicious but our waiter that served us was amazing. I hate that I can’t remember his name. He made us feel welcomed and showed hospitality. I ordered the bistec picado.
I dined at Versailles for a friend’s birthday and it was a truly sensational culinary experience. The wings? Sublime! Empanadas? Toasty and flavorful. The sandwiches ? Excellent. Just excellent. The flan too was a nice touch for the birthday boy. Versailles, on a dîner comme la des rois.
Highly recommend this place for cuban food and drinks are good too. I usually get chicken dark meat special dish with espresso at the end. The mojitos are great.
Revisited one of our favorite restaurants in LA after moving away nearly 20 years ago. The food was as good we remembered. For a family of 4 we should have ordered 3 entrees as the portions were huge.
We went to Versailles Cuban Food for dinner and had a great experience. The restaurant offers authentic Cuban cuisine at very reasonable prices in a relaxed, comfortable setting. The staff was friendly, attentive, and laid-back, making for an enjoyable evening. Three of us shared the empanadas and yuca fries as appetizers, followed by two main dishes: Versailles’ famous garlic chicken (half a roasted chicken served with rice, beans, and plantains) and the Bistec de Palomilla (grilled flank steak with rice, beans, and plantains). The food was excellent—flavorful, plentiful, and satisfying. We visited on a Friday night. Although it was busy, we were seated right away. The atmosphere is casual and inviting—perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends.
Fantastic, authentic cuban food at honest prices and super friendly service. It's a traditional institution in LA, serving at the same place for many years. We used to live in LA and came back to visit, and the roasted pork was still great as I remembered it. The waiting staff is super friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommended.
Love the Cubano, the atmosphere is fantastic. Plantains are extremely well done. Can't recommend this place highly enough I've been going for years and they never fail to make my day. Keep up the good work!
Love this place. The staff is very pleasant and the food is delicious. This was my first time there in over 4 years. I ordered a Paloma which was not very good at all. However, the yucca fries (dipped in the cilantro sauce) 😋🤤. Perfectly cooked rice, black beans stewed to perfection ... Yum, yum. The food never disappoints
I haven’t been hearing in about 10 years and I went here last night and when I say that food it was amazing. It was so good. They gave me an extra onions and I got the famous chicken and it was smacking so good.
Very nice place to get good Mexican food. The beans were delicious and smooth, the fried plantains were good and the salsa was amazing. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.
Came here on a Friday for dinner on a whim. There is happy hour all day Friday with great deals on drinks. We ordered strawberry margaritas and pupusas which were all delicious! The staff was super friendly and you could tell that people come here often as regulars were being greeted by name. Super excited to come back to this neighborhood gem
Fantastic food, fantastic service. I was a bit turned off by the price at first but for the food quality and serving size it was well worth it. The nachos are so so but the horchata is 👌 They also provide complimentary chips and salsa
Handmade tortillas that are slightly puffy and warm. The red chilaquiles come sauced just enough to soften without turning soggy. Salsa has a slow burn that sneaks up. It’s a tiny space with a handful of tables, so timing helps. Friendly service and a bill that won’t scare you
This was some of the best Salvadoran food I’ve ever had. I ordered the special Plato Típico, and every item was outstanding—the handmade pupusas were fresh and flavorful, the plantains perfectly cooked, and the beans and rice were excellent. On top of the great food, the customer service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. enjoy Be A Proud American Peace/Love
I think everything about this place is perfect. It’s a small and casual Latin-style restaurant with a very friendly and attentive staff, and plenty of satisfying dishes. I recommend trying anything off the Gloria’s specialties menu, especially the Carnitas Plate. The cuisine is primarily Salvadoran, but they also have a menu specifically for Mexican dishes. When I last went there, they had a great happy hour (all day on Fridays). You can’t go wrong with this place; there will be something for everyone. I have been back many times, and it never disappoints. They’ve definitely won a loyal customer.
This place has it all!!!! Pupusas, empanadas, seafood carne asada tamales, burritos, tacos, enchiladas...EVRRYTHING!!! they were also on diners and dives with Guy Fieri, SOOOOO GOOD tht you could smell it from the outside, why I went there!!! The MOST delicious Mexican & Salvadorian food, meeting the owner and his wife truly made it a home feeling and the atmosphere is a wonderful place that you can just sit with family or friends, have a drink and a wonderful time (They have a bar even!!! You have to look for the restaurant because if you don't you will miss it (next to metro PCs), and I mean you will miss it, you will miss ALLLLL they have to offer, I love the variety of dishes so that I can continue to eat here and have different dishes every time and it doesn't matter because they are all delicious AND AUTHENTICALLY MADE!!!! IM A LIFER CUSTOMER HERE, I FEEL LIKE FAMILY ALREADY!!!! MUY DELICIOUSO!!!
I went here with some friends and we all cleaned out plates by the end of it. We all ate from the Salvadoran menu and it was delicious. Next time I will be sure to get extra chicharrón and plátanos, they were my absolute favorite. We sat in the outside patio that had twinkle lights and lots of space. The service is friendly and supportive, only thing I would say is the margarita pitchers could have been poured a little stronger. I will definitely be returning!
Tried Versailles Cuban Food recently and overall it was a really solid experience. The food is flavorful and comforting, and I actually liked the simplicity of everything — no over-the-top plating, just straightforward presentation that lets the ingredients and seasoning do the talking. Service was quick, portions were satisfying, and it felt like classic Cuban food done the traditional way. Worth a stop if you’re craving something hearty and authentic.
Very good experience today. Our waiter, Andres, greeted us quickly and sat us immediately, menus in hand. He left us to look over the menu and returned with waters. My wife ordered the garlic chicken entrée, which comes with plantains, white rice and black beans 🫘 😋. Good sized serving. I asked his recommendation between the Cubano sandwich and the Bistec. He immediately said the Cubano (even though it's three dollars less than the Bistec). Very good of him. The Cubano was very good sized, excellent flavor and came with an overflowing side of fries 🍟 😋. The fries were a bit overdone for my taste so I only had a few. But, they were not needed as just half of the sandwich filled me up. Old school interior, bathrooms were just okay (could use a little TLC), and the parking was easy. Hope you find your next Cuban favorite and...enjoy!!!
This restaurant offers Cuban cuisine mainly. Decent variety of dishes and appetizers, prices range is still ok. Food is delicious and very decent portions are served. Staff is friendly and the waiters are very attentive. Most weekends is very busy and gets full in the evenings. Parking is free but it fills up really fast.
Lots of sourness. I don’t doubt it’s authentic Cuban food, but if you aren’t used to very acidic dishes, it can be rather off putting. The chicken was well seasoned but overcooked and dry inside. Oxtail stew was lovely, tender and flavorful, nicely rendered fat without the meat being overcooked.
Cocido soup is tasty. First time to have Pupusas and is a little disappointed because they were all broken and the stuffing went out. It’s kinda wet and messy. Not sure if it’s normal?
The parking is very limited. Inside the restaurant it's small but cozy. The waiter was very friendly although he was by himself and it got busy so his service was slow. I got the adobada plate which is baked pork pieces w adobada sauce, rice and beans. The pork was not tender but the flavor was amazing, wish they hadn't cooked it too long and it would have been great. Overall your regular Mexican restaurant but with the hype of been on food network. My friend got the wet burrito and she didn't like it. I'll update later as to why.
I'm Cuban so I expected Cuban food to taste like it is supposed to. It was not very tasty. The only thing that I will give a 5 out of 5 we're the black beans and the rice. Service was ok but prices are kind of high. There were 3 of us and the bill was $70.00 and change.
I used to go to this restaurant when I lived and worked in Culver City in 1986. It was sooooo good. I couldn’t wait to take my husband there, not realizing that maybe their ownership might not be the same. Idk. The beef empanadas were very hard and almost burnt! We couldn’t even eat them. The rice and beans tasted a couple of days old! The man that sat behind my husband had rice and beans but they looked nothing like mine. I kind of took everything personal.
