As you step inside, surrounded by our curated vinyl collection, you'll be enveloped in a chic '70s & '80s ambiance that's equal parts nostalgic and sophisticated. Went here on a Saturday evening. Parking was hard to find. You'll have to drive around a little to find stret parking. I parked 3 blocks away. There's no signage telling you the location, but you'll know when you arrive. Dim-lit, wall full of vinyl and lively environment with people conversing. A DJ is playing different records. The DJ the night we went was playing his personal 45' collection and he had some really cool music to play. Everything from rock, funk, jazz, European pop was playing. The cocktails were amazing. Reasonably priced for the environment you're experiencing. Overall, a great experience. The lounge is owned by the owners of Stones Throw Records (which are located upstairs), and they did a great job with it. Definitely a great place to bring friends or a double date. Not intimate for a date, although there are lounge seats and couches towards to back to hang out at. Either way, worth going.
Really cool spot! Stopped in after a show at Lodge Room and was met with great cocktails in an absolutely awesome setting. The ambiance was perfection and our bartender was both helpful and incredibly friendly. Would love to return!
Wow!!! Great bar! The DJ was crazy good! Carl made us some amazing cocktails! He didn’t shy away from any of the cocktails we asked for. Definitely our favorite bar in LA!!!
Broody lighting & really cool music. The drinks are amazing to be honest. I'll go back
Shoutout to the bartender Gabriel 🇧🇷! He is the top notch barista who can whip you up a cocktail in a blink of an eye. This man did wonders with my Trago Coqueto. I’m picky with my tequila and during a busy hour he had no problem walking me through the excellence of his craft. The atmosphere here was the total vibe I needed for a Saturday night. I’m truly speechless at the incredible feel, ambience and energy of this venue. If you like music and with some volume this is your scene. Low lit with an incredible intimacy aroma throughout the rear end of the establishment. The cocktails are 1 of 1 and they do not promote any of their drinks online. It’s all about being in that moment. Stop by and check them out! If you get a chance to meet Gabriel tip him beyond percentages. He’s worth it 🤞🏾
S/o to Peanut Butter Wolf! If you're unfamiliar with the moniker, this is Chris Manak's bar. The founding father of the independent record label "Stones Throw Records" based out of Los Angeles, California. Fun fact: stones throw headquarters used to be right up stairs. Love all the signed photographs PB from the cure, to gary wilson, biz markie, digable planets, the residents, and everything in between. It is a unique bar offering highballs and simple three-ingredient cocktail classics, plus rare whiskey, mezcal, and natural wine, much like a Japanese hifi bar but given a California lens. Some great drinks to try would be any of their "highballs", "the Charizma" (named after his best friend and late rapper Charizma. rest in beats) the "OOO WE YEAH" and the "orbit". There's a couple cool spots next door. To the right is the artform studio owned by Adrian Younge. To the left is the concert venue "the lodge room". When in Highland Park, check out these 3 spots. But make sure you bring your dancing shows as the music being played is all vinyl. They have an awesome Marantz sound system. Random acts have DJ sets there weekly. The bar features 8000 of Peanut butter wolfs personal record collection. There's a nice elegant lounge area in the back.
Incredible that Highland Park has yet another amazing bar. Really liked the atmosphere and vibe of the place and it stands out as unique amongst all the cool newish bars in the area. The Figueroa strip is definitely the place to be if you want to dine and bar hop. Went on a Friday night and the place was crowded (in a good way). Went for a beer as I'd already been drinking but I do want to go back and try some cocktails. DJ booth at one end of the bar. A roomier seating area at the back. It's just next door to the HomeState tacos and just down the block from Cafe Birdie. Drink responsibly and come on the Train! Gold Line Highland Park station only a block or two away.
Very swanky! I would bring a group of friends here, or a great date night spot. They’re famous for their whiskey highball which I had never heard of before. But order that!
Great local bar, good music, staff is always welcoming.
Vinyl records and whiskey is my type of thing. It was pretty packed for an early Saturday but no matter, got out drinks fast and enjoyed my time.

Fantastic vibes and drinks and music! Impressive vinyl collection, great DJs, and incredible audio equipment. Sounded so good!
Great little spot in the heart of Highland Park. Dimly lit with an intimate chill vibe. The vinyl theme this bar portrays is cool and laidback and have DJs playing on the regular in the evenings. Only came for a drink, but would be a cool location to come with friends or a significant other and vibe out the groovy tunes they play. Drinks were also top tier as well as their beer on draft. A lot of other spots nearby if you want to bar hop or grab more drinks and food after.
first time. i went around opening hours on a rainy new year's eve. posted up with a book, and took in the scene as the bar filled up. i enjoyed the paloma, a happy hour drink, the fresh citrus taste offset by tajin at the rim. lovely. a nice crowd as well. music on point. heard the originals of some black moon and tribe called quest classic samples. that was nice. i'm a brown skinned lady. for what it's worth, it was a diverse enough crowd that i felt comfortable. of course, one gets that same brooklyn feel, where you know that gentrification has eviscerated the soul of the neighborhood to a large extent. but there i was, pretty and cozy for a time at the bar. lucky.
Good beats. There’s vinyl on the walls. Friendly bartenders and the drinks are damn tasty. I like the crowd. Good vibes. Moved to LA from SF and used to work in the club/bar industry. This has that urban touch. Def reminds me of the bars in the mission but nicer.

Cool little spot in Highland Park. The atmosphere is amazing , especially if you like vinyl and live DJs. Fast service and tasty drinks. They need food though lol lol tapas appetizers...something guys
The vibe and beats at Gold Line are legit. Impressive sound system, vinyl collection, and awesome DJ’ing. The only thing, for my tastes, is I’d avoid it on a busy Friday or Saturday night because you’re packed like sardines, crammed against one side of the bar or the other, and it’s almost impossible to get service at the bar with so many people waiting. So, I’d go on more of a chill weeknight.
VINYL! God, nothing better than the sound of vinyl. And I love a dark bar! We got there at 5:30pm on a Thursday before the crowd and it was still sunny outside. The music was 70s funk/disco and the handsome bartenders were grooving to it. But with the gigantic vinyl collection you could hear any kind of music. 2 single person clean bathrooms. I only gave it 4 stars because I didn’t care for my margarita but I should have ordered whiskey or their specialities. My friends liked their drinks a lot.
Really nice bar. Drink menu maybe the best on Fig. Highballs Caipirinhas Margarita classic Martini. A bar that has Japanese Whiskey and Cashaca on deck? Good to go. Check it out.

I’m really not the type to leave reviews but I’m somewhat disgruntled by the way I was just treated at this establishment. Someone speaking English in a non-standard dialect is not a reason to stop serving them after a few drinks. I was not drunk and slurring my words. I’m simply from Georgia; the syllables tend to string together in such a way. My sincerest apologies for not code switching during a casual night out. Pro tip for anyone (esp. non yt) coming to this bar that doesn’t sound like Brody Jenner: you might wanna do the voice Lakeith Stanfield did in ‘Sorry to Bother You’ so that you can pay $20 for as many mid ass cocktails as you might desire without being cut off and lectured. Be yourself and your money may or may not be accepted. They “deserve the right to refuse service to anyone” was what I was told. Me being barely buzzed and sufficiently articulate at that point didn’t seem to matter. Reality be damned. Trump’s America, I suppose. This was a few moments ago by the way. Would an overly-temulent individual be in a state of mind to type out such an essay? Rhetorical question. History will absolve me.

Absolutely the worst bartenders I’ve ever met in my life.. and I’m a bartender myself. They would much rather be drinking behind the bar or flirting with the nearest highland park hipster than to do their job. I forgot her name but the female bartender covered with tattoos.. yikes! What a disaster
