Opinions de Greekman's Los Angeles
We LOVE coming here. Drive from Santa Monica all the time. We get a village salad, fries, chicken and steak skewers — all great portions. Love the gigante beans and lemony potatoes but usually forego so we have room for olive oil ice cream. Also love the seawater mocktail. Staff is amazing. They use InKind so we always end up saving money!
Greekmans is truly a hidden gem in Silver Lake! The atmosphere is inviting, and the food is nothing short of amazing—authentic Greek flavors that are both fresh and flavorful. The service was impeccable, with the staff making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try for anyone craving top-notch Greek cuisine. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you so much for a memorable evening and birthday celebration 🙏🏽
I LOVE the place, the food is amazing, the menu is classic and the service is wonderful. It's a bit more f a trek for me but worth it!
Such a wonderful hidden gem in Los angeles, I highly recommend it for authentic food, service and Ambiance! They have a wonderful outdoor space for al fresco dining. Easy parking right off of Sunset and definitely should be on your list of go to places for Greek food!
DELICIOUS DINNER- Freedman’s has gone greek for the summer and it lives up to all of the hype. Each dish was delightful. We ordered the Slovaki Party, Octopus, Lemon Potatoes, and Salad. Reasonably priced for the area. We all want to go back again!

I rarely leave reviews but this food is top notch. Hit after hit on the menu. Simple and SO delicious. Going to be a new staple of ours
this is our second time going here and I’m so happy to have a greek place in Los Angeles!! I especially love their cocktails which is very uncommon for a Greek restaurant to offer so I appreciate the modernization :)
Truly one of the best meals of my life. The hummus is so smooth. The pickles were perfectly crisp and not too vinegary. The pitas were soft but a little crisp edge. The lemony potatoes were divine. Like every single bite was a journey and we just kept wondering who the chef is and how this all happens— so delicious. We will be back and plan to bring anyone who ever visits us. Thank you restaurant, chef and team!
Fantastic food in person. Truly one of my fav spots in LA. And their delivery is routinely fantastic
A bit noisy inside - the patio is better for conversations. Amazing hummus and sauces; meats and mushrooms are out of this world!
One of my favorite restaurants. We’ve come multiple times. Service is always 11/10 because servers are friendly and make great recommendations. Food and wine is delicious and very reasonably priced. Everything here is delicious
In a nondescript strip center with minimal signage so not expecting much. Went there on strength of reviews. It's great inside, and the food and service were amazing. Get the lamb chops and don't share them they are that good. We ordered many different things and love em all.

Nice service with a lovely intimate atmosphere. This place has so much potential to be amazing. It’s not traditional Greek food and the flavor disappointed a bit for some dishes however, the lamb and wagyu skewer were INSANELY good but insultingly small.
The food was quite tasty and high quality, though the dip portions on the souvlaki “party” were almost insultingly small (given they’re the cheapest items in the dish). The service was nice, knowledgeable, and consistent. The white wine bottle was lovely. I would sit inside instead of in the patio, and the inside is beautiful, while the patio was decorated nicely, but inescapably reminds you that you’re technically eating in the parking lot. My only main gripe is the 18% service charge that explicitly states that it’s not inclusive of gratuity. This says, in a somehow unspoken manner, that there’s an expectation that you’ll be parting with at least an additional 30% of the cost of the meal, not forgetting the 10% sales tax too. 💸
A lively intimate restaurant with a friendly staff and great food. It is also very reasonably priced and portions are good. The food was balanced with fresh ingredients and we will definitely go again.
This place is a great option for greek food, the food was absolutely delicious. service was ok nothing special. however, the portions are small.

According to the reviews I was expecting more but unfortunately it was disappointing, the Hummus simplest thing to make was one of the worst I've had , asked for lemon and salt just to give it some flavor, Souvlakies were more flavorful and cooked nicely the only standouts, spicy lebni I don't know what that was didn't taste like lebni, for all the food we got barley had 2 pita breads and when we asked for more got charged $2.00 for 1, overall small portions lack luster flavors and overpriced.

Pricing is all over the place and the souvlaki portions are insulting. The restaurant is not chic enough for such small dishes to be priced so high and due to the automatic 18% service charge the level of service just isn’t there. Our server fixed a seating situation fairly quickly though after trying to explain it while 75% of the place was unoccupied. We finished our meal and did not feel like sticking around. We loved this restaurant the first time we visited but they’re treating it more like a SaaS business than a restaurant. It’s a shame really.
I really like the decor of this Mediterranean place and the selection of Greek wines. The food is tasty but definitely too salty (maybe I was unlucky). I ordered octopus and was a bit burnt on the outside, but it was deliciously paired with mayo and lemon. I would go back, but ask them to ease on the salt. Customer service was not bad… they welcome you, serve you the food and that’s it, nothing special.
The food quality is fine as in everything is edible but the portions are for ants - so small! So stingy on the portion sizes, not at all like what a real Greek restaurant would have. See pic for how big the hummus is. The Greek salad was half a tomato, half a cucumber, and 3 ounces of cheese. And it cost $16 (not including the 18% automatic gratuity). There is a 18% gratuity included but it is not a tip. However the staff aren’t really working for tips there. Slow and combative. They’ve tried communism in other countries and it didn’t work… why should it at Greekman’s This place feels like the manager is a freshly minted MBA who ran some analytics on the menu to min/max profit margins. However, doesn’t seem like this manager went to Harvard Business School. More like clown college. The manager doesn’t realize that you can only have profits if you have customers, and the way to keeping customers is not through stinginess and shrinkflation. Tasty food, bad value

Everything was super salty; we had the fried zucchini, grilled branzino, chicken souvlaki, and the sauteed spinach. The zucchini, chicken, and branzino were decent, just too salty. We had to slather the chicken in yogurt to reduce the tremendous saltines. The spinach was like licking a lemon forgotten in the back of the fridge served with half a can of salt. Way overcooked, sour, and salty. We might as well have been served a lemon-y glass of water from the Aegean Sea. This was definitely the worst tasting Greek restaurant I've had in LA. Plus the prices don't reflect the insultingly small portion sizes. Our waitress recommended we get 6 dishes for 2 people. If we'd gone with her suggestion, our total would be around $120 (beware the automatic 4% service fee). Save your money and go somewhere else. There are plenty of reasonably priced, delicious Greek options in LA. EDIT: I pass by the restaurant every day for work at 7PM and it's always empty. All the 5 star reviews are either fake or bots.
Absolutely horrible restaurant. Firstly the service was mediocre and subpar. We’ve only had the waitresses come up to our table for our order, drinks/food, and check with no sort of personality or care. Next the prices for the portions are disgusting, 22 dollars for 1/4 of a steak on a stick😂 what kind of garbage is that. Charging people 15-22 dollars for 2 small meat pucks on a stick. My grandmas disabled Pomeranian can eat more than that. Next the octopus legitimately took 40-45 minutes for 2 legs grilled….. how. And lastly they had the audacity to add a 18% service fee,😂😂 at a loss for words of this terrible greek establishment. Start giving people more food or lower your prices for real.
