Tip: Try the 6 roll combo for a good value. Be aware that hand rolls are served all at once, which may affect the crispness of the seaweed.

Opinions de HRB Los Angeles
The service was very good , Fernando was our waiter and he was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I loved the creative idea of serving the soy sauce with a dropper, such a nice touch. The only thing I didn’t really like was the tea cup it was so hot that I couldn’t hold it comfortably in my hand (haha). I ordered the shishito peppers, salmon hand rolls, and yellowtail, and everything was well prepared. One additional point worth mentioning is that the fish is farm-raised, not wild-caught, which may be important for some guests to know. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with great service.
Amazing vibes — beautiful outdoor seating that’s perfect day or night, with heaters to keep you cozy. The staff is warm, inviting, and great at recommending dishes for first-timers. Happy hour is a steal, the sushi is fresh, and the miso soup is delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
Actually some of the best sushi I have had. Their signature hand roll is delicious and the salmon tastes like butter…. I had to stop myself because I would have eaten their entire stock. Also my server, Aamani, was so fun and so sweet, thank you!! Must try!!
HRB is a great experience. The sushi quality is top notch. You can tell the sushi here is more traditional and simple, they let the sushi speak for itself and you can tell the quality of the fish really shines through. Yes the meal is expensive. We spent 98$ for a combo 6, miso soup, and a sushi roll. You are paying for quality. If you are starving I might suggest something else. If you are looking for a high quality sushi experience I would suggest checking out HRB.
Amazing selection of hand rolls here. What really impressed me was how fast we were seated for a Saturday night (party of 4). The 6 roll combo is definitely worth it, you really get some bang for your buck here! You feel extra fancy because your soy sauce is dispensed through a pipette so you can get the best drops on your rolls. Not only are the rolls delicious and nicely prepared, the sake and beer are perfect pairings as well! To be honest it didn’t feel too expensive because I feel like for the price, it’s worth it for the great meal and experience. The service wasn’t too slow either, so that was nice! Will definitely be back here again.
Came into HRB after aimlessly wondering around the mall trying to figure out what I was going to eat , I lucked up coming to HRB . Aubrey was our waitress and she recommended amazing choices , her customer service will definitely have me coming back to this really yummy sushi spot . Definitely recommend 10/10 . Great vibes , great food and amazing atmosphere.
Open space with a high chair to enjoy 360-degree views. Prices are high, but the quality also delivers the expectation (high-quality seaweed). They leave a full-experience DIY hand roll to enjoy it better and make your way along with instructions. Worth it, and it all tasted delicious. To avoid getting soggy or soft with the seaweed, order time by time so it's slowly served, and enjoy the fresh and crispy handroll.
For single girls seeking a sushi haven with flair, this spot nails it. Whether it's a quick snack or pre-dinner cocktails, the menu caters to every craving. But what truly sets it apart is the outdoor ambiance – a chic setting that invites you to linger, sip, and savor. Here, under the starlit sky, surrounded by the buzz of the city, every bite feels like a mini adventure. So, gather your tribe, indulge in the finest rolls, and toast to the moments that make life deliciously memorable. It's more than a dining experience; it's a rendezvous with culinary delight.

Just stopped for a drink but left with a smile and a story. Had an amazing experience chatting with the servers and the Yuzu Lemonade is a must try! The servers were amazing! I wish I got their names so I could personally shout them out but the servers on December 16th, 2025 were the absolutely amazing!!
I had such a great experience at HRB in Santa Monica! The place was super clean, the food was fresh, and everything came out quicker than I expected. A huge shoutout to our server, Suhaila…she was incredibly kind, attentive, and fast. She made the whole experience so much better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Such a cool spot to sit and take a break from shopping. The outdoor seating is in a perfect location to enjoy fresh sushi. The crispy tuna appetizer is fire and the blue crab roll did not disappoint. Will stop here again next time we are in town. Thank you to our sever Sue for the best vibes!!

I’ve been coming here since the original opening and I’ve seen the transition the restaurant has been through. It’s a good place to come for a quick meal. Service here isn’t the best so if you’re looking for fine dining with top notch service, this is not it! They typically run on minimal staff and they’re running around but the fish are good and fresh. Would totally recommend if you’re shopping at the mall!
I had a good experience at HRB! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The baked lobster was absolutely next level—rich, buttery, and perfectly cooked. The unagi had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture with just the right balance of sweetness and smokiness. And the salmon? Incredibly fresh and tender, easily one of the best I’ve had. If you’re a sushi lover, HRB is a must-try. Great quality, creative dishes, and a satisfying experience all around. Highly recommend!
I visited the Century City Mall location. The menu is nice and short. I ordered the Crispy Spicy Tuna from the appetizer menu, it did not disappoint. I also had the #4 combo, signature (spicy tuna), salmon, albacore, and baby scallops. They serve the sushi bento box style accompanied by fresh ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. The bartender recommended a delightful light beer. Sorry I don’t know the name. The sushi is fresh, delicious and prepared beautifully. Customer service was good, not exceptional. Yes I will go back.
Good service, nice outdoor seating. I prefer my hand rolls served one at a time for the crunch but their style is all at the same time. Salmon sashimi is good but super thinly sliced therefore over priced.
Great experience, great service, great food. Got the 3 hand rolls (signature, albacore, and salmon) and all had freshly cut fish, a perfect amount of seaweed and rice. The only thing is the nori was a tad bit stale- definitely prefer crispier and fresh nori. Highly recommend eating there and not taking it to-go. The experience of eating the hand roll there makes it unique. House sake was also great- smooth and easy to drink. Parking is underground, free for the first hour.

Hand Roll Bar that serves recommended sets with trendy comibinations. The Japanese fusion resto has a limited but satisfying menu. Service was relaxed but efficient. Most of the dining is at a semi-outdoor counter bar layout with limited seating on an elevated platform at the courtyard of the Century City mall complex. Even if the layout is stylish and clean, not sure if the open space is a good fit for eating raw food. Good weather is needed. Ideal for quick bites and dates and lone dining.
This place was good but not great and that's only due to the portion sizes. For the amount you pay for a roll, you would expect to at least get a little more out of the hand roll/sushi roll. The handrolla are literally 2 bites each which just does not cut it in my opinion. The fish was just a spoon full over rice basically. Disappointed but still good sushi. The salmon sashimi was 🔥🔥 and like butter in the mouth. Try it out for yourself!
This is an unique spot at the Westfield area. It’s outdoor sitting only and chill area casual dining. It is a bit overpriced for what they serve, but the ingredients are fresh and sourced locally. The customer service sucks! I was there in the afternoon around 4PM, 3 servers chit chatting and not providing services at all, yet they still bill you 18% service fees for 1 person dining. Lol
Hand rolls were O.K… Albacore sashimi was yummy. Much prefer getting my handrolls out 1x1 like other spots (kazunori) because even tho ther server promised me the seaweed wouldn’t be stale, it was but it was okay! I really enjoyed the spicy tuna & crab handrolls out of the 6 I had.

Never spending $130 on mediocre sushi again. This is not your typical hand roll bar. All my hand rolls came out at the same time so the seaweed is not crisp. Do not get the salmon from here. Very poor quality.
