Opinions de King Buffet Los Angeles
good place. not expensive. for the whole family. lots of food. the food is delicious. there is chicken and pork and sushi and seafood. i liked it. i will come here again.
Well, the food is good, the service is good, but what I liked the most was the sushi, the rest is based on flavors and tastes, the only thing that dinner is expensive, the dish per person is 30 dollars with the drinks, so to savor it will depend on your pocket of the client and the desire to eat a lot
Great Asian buffet, had so much fresh food compared where I'm from 2 hrs away. Everything was clean and the employees walked around very often to ask if my group needed anything and for reassurance. Oh and their drinks are free so I was sold for that, better than my local buffet that sells them. Place looked so fancy and they have their own parking lot which we felt safe walking with their bright lights at night.
I really like this place. The food is always varied. Large selection. Reasonable prices.
Enjoyed a great evening celebrating a birthday with friends. The food was fresh and delicious, and the honey tea with boba was awesome! I'll be back, like Arnold! 👌🏾
King Buffet offers a wonderful pan-Asian all you can eat buffet and Mongolian grill. On this visit I stuck with the prepared Seafood and soup and didn't take advantage of the Mongolian grill. Perhaps next time. It looked wonderful. Dessert included small cakes and tiramisu, plus fresh fruit and a chocolate fountain. The only thing missing from desert was soft serve ice cream. They had cheesecake, which was okay. Not the best but not bad. The hot and sour soup was wonderful, as was the unagi. The dim sum was okay, but what I really liked were the cheese mussels and the sauced clams. Even though the soup was great it was very filling and next time I want to make the mistake of filling up on so much soup.
I grew up going to this buffet. They have so much food and it’s amazing. I love the hot and sour soup, clam chowder ,sushi, fries, chow mein, and the banana pudding.
Very good, they had many types of seafood including crawfish, prawns, crab, sushi. They had good vegetarian options and deserts including a chocolate fountain, it is too much to describe. The variety is more extensive than the buffets I've been to in Australia and quality was good. The children's pricing is quite logical, but is unusual so it confused me at first - it's around $2.80 per year of age for a kid up to 10. For 2, adults and a 4 yr old with 2 soft drinks it was around $82 USD before tip for dinner on friday, so whilst not cheap its not bad for Hollywood.
Wow what an amazing buffet this was. Lunch time buffet was a seafood lover's heaven! I'd definitely recommend this to anybody. Great variety of seafood, Chinese food and fruit and salad bar! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out! I'm gonna try the dinner meal before I return home! The best bang for your buck $$$$$$$👍👌 try it out, you'll love it
My first time to this Eat all you can place and loved it… it’s just that, I don’t have enough room to taste their different dishes.
My first time here. My experience wasn't too bad. Food was regular, items were the same as any other seafood buffet restaurants, Sushi selection was a bit disappointing, But the cook at the Mongolian bbq corner made my day. It was one of the bests I've had in a long time. It was so good that I went back for the second time. But I feel guilty for not tipping him as I didn't have any cash on me. They have plenty to offer at the desert section. Tables were cleaned frequently. Overall, I didn't have any regrets after spending $25.99 per person. Plenty of parking available inside the lot.
I visited here with my family and cousin’s family. This place was great for big families like us. In the morning we went to Chinatown new year parade. After that we came here around 4pm. I love here foods are diverse cultures food. And I really enjoyed BBQ sections. Because, i could eat extra beef stakes☺️🐝🌻 Next time, if my other family visit here, i will bring them here again 💚💕
Honestly the area really mislead me into thinking it wasn’t good but I was very wrong. Probably the best buffet around for the price. I’m a pescatarian and only eat vegetables and crab meat and the crab legs were out of this world and I loved all the veggies at the hibachi stand. Best yet you can make your own bubble tea and it’s included with the meal and the mochi dessert bites were also delicious! Highly recommend
Had lunch at King Buffet in Los Angeles and honestly, it was a great experience for the price. I tried the eggplant dish which was surprisingly good, and the lo mein and orange chicken were both flavorful and satisfying. The miso soup was also tasty —nothing extraordinary —but still a nice starter. What really stood out was the custom grill section—a fun, “food safari”-style setup where you pick your own meats, veggies, and sauces, and they cook it fresh in front of you. Definitely adds a unique touch to the buffet. The space was large, clean, and the service was fair. For around $25 including drinks and tips, for lunch buffet it’s one of the better deals you’ll find for a buffet in LA. Would definitely go again!
This place is a good place to go prices a little bit higher than everywhere else but the quality of food is definitely worth it and the availability for your seafood Mongolian grill in the back plenty of choices for ice cream and dessert fresh fruit, fresh meat, fresh vegetables, fresh highly recommend this place
King’s Buffet is a solid option if you’re looking for a wide variety of food in one place. The restaurant offers an extensive selection that spans different cuisines, with a particular emphasis on Chinese dishes and seafood. While the food is decent, it’s not exceptional, but the variety makes it worth a visit, especially if you’re with a group that has different tastes. The Chinese section has all the classics you’d expect, like fried rice, lo mein, and sweet and sour chicken. The flavors are pretty standard, and everything is generally well-prepared, though some dishes can be a bit greasy. The seafood options are plentiful, with items like shrimp, crab legs, and mussels available. The quality is good, though not the freshest I’ve had, but it’s certainly satisfying if you’re craving seafood. One of the highlights is the sheer number of choices available. You can mix and match from different stations, which is great if you’re in the mood to try a little bit of everything. There’s also a decent salad bar and a variety of desserts, including fresh fruit, cakes, and soft-serve ice cream, which is a nice way to end the meal. The atmosphere at King’s Buffet is casual and family-friendly. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and take your time sampling different dishes. The service is efficient, with staff quickly clearing plates and refilling drinks, but don’t expect anything beyond the basics.Overall, King’s Buffet offers a good range of options that should satisfy most palates. The food is okay—not amazing, but decent for the price you pay. It’s a convenient spot if you’re looking for variety and quantity rather than gourmet quality.
Good place to get filled up on Asian food. Lots of variety ensuring you leave with a full stomach. From Chinese food, sushi, grilled, or Mongolian grilled to fruits, salad, and desserts. The staff are friendly providing drinks and keeping our tables clean. The ice cream selection is great, but the scooper may need a little more work. A chocolate fountain is available too.
My family comes from the East to visit me during the holidays. We went to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Came to this buffet for dinner. This is a very nice place with a large parking lot. Clean and comfortable. The food is also very complete. The staff's service is also very good. I had a perfect travel experience and dining experience with my family during the holiday. A very cost-effective buffet that is highly recommended. Will come again next time when I have a chance.
Update 2022-12-27. Went back again since my original review. Food quality and selection is STILL great. This time I focused on their desserts. Very good dessert selection. Of course I had my coconut-pineapple ice-cream. My favorite!... ..... Original review..... Great good selection, love the Mongolian style of food. Great ice cream... Thrifty store ice-cream. Yes. That good! Highly recommend it.
Food was good, lots of stuff was low, but also it was busy when I arrived so that's to be expected.
A little pricey but food quality is good and lots of options. Seafood was solid and some of the 🦐 we're huge. The Mongolian grill was good, typical selection of raw food; beef, chicken, shrimp, veggies. Make sure you don't roll in too late as the food doesn't turn over as quickly after 8:00 pm, fewer diners.
Variety is a 5. Price is a 5. Ice cream is a 3. Overall a 4.3, good value for money, but I really like ice cream for dessert and I couldn't enjoy the ones here.
Nice place, but the last time I was there I ran out of ketchup and there was no staff around to ask for a refill and I didn't have time to look for someone. I wish hot tea was served in cups and a teapot instead of plastic cups! Other king buffets do this, not sure why it's a problem here. Otherwise everything is fresh, tasty and most of the time in stock. Thanks to the staff for their work and courtesy.
This Asian buffet is Chinese run and is located in the heart of Hollywood, not far from the Walk of Fame. There are not many parking lots in this store, and parking is not very convenient. The lobby of the hotel is very large, there are many seats, and there are many guests who come every day. The taste is delicious, especially the Japanese Teppanyaki is the best. In addition, there are many Chinese dishes, Japanese sushi, Western fast food and so on.
I've visited twice. The first time, based on my age and appearance, it was a very bad profile. The employees walked hurriedly to avoid me. Tim was in need of customer service training. I asked him for a drink. He absolutely ignores my request and fails to notify the waiter. The price is incredible. I've tried over 18 different dishes, includes the meals they prepare for you Chicken On Stick It's difficult to get off the stick and dry. Fried Chicken Wing tastefully delicious and fresh SHRIMP/ no tag tasteful French Fries. Really good Spicy Crawfish Flavorful Baby Clam Tastes great Seafood Delight Flavorful Salt & pepper Shrimp Really good Salt & pepper Crabs tastes different/dry Vegetable Fried Rice Flavorful Teriyaki Chicken Really good Baked Salmon Tastes great Cheese Mussel Tastes great HIBACHI GRILLING was adequate. I'm not a huge fan. If you like sushi, this is not the place to go. Sushi display has lost color and has been sitting out for an extended period of time.
I like King's Buffet because it offers a variety of seafood cooked in different ways. There's lots of food to choose from to satisfy your cravings. What I dislike about this place is that it's too cramped, especially when most seats are taken. If you're claustrophobic, this is not the place to hang out because there are absolutely no windows here! Cleanliness of the place could be improved, especially in their restrooms. Overall, food and service are satisfactory, and I would recommend this place for buffet lovers to try out.
I had dinner here 5 times more. That place to get filled up on Asian food. They had a lot of variety ensuring you leave with a full stomach from Chinese food, sushi, grilled, or grilled to fruits, salad, and desserts. I liked sushi and ice cream. The staff are friendly providing drinks and keeping our tables clean. They served so quickly and nice. The price still reasonable. Great place to group party.
For a buffet that’s ~$35 per person on a weekend, I think you get a reasonably clean place with a wide array of options and free parking (which was so nice). My mom and I came here for a relative’s birthday dinner and we were seated in a separate area next to the main room. They have sushi, dim sum, a Mongolian BBQ station, and more. The desserts had a good variety as well, with a chocolate fountain being the crowning jewel. The food was decent and though some was a bit on the cool side, I didn’t have any stomach issues the next day. No tips are expected and there’s a 10% service charge on top of the main price (there’s a discount for senior citizens). Overall, you come here when you’re looking for quantity while minimizing price.
The Salmon portions were too large, because it Dosen't taste good. Because it doesn't taste good it is hard to finish. I will probably never come back because it is expensive for the quality of their food. $74. for only two persons on a Saturday afternoon. I don't like teriyaki and the person who makes the fresh food add to much my food tastes overly sweet. I prefer no sugar on my vegetables and meats.

If quantity is your thing. By all means go . Quality-not so much .lunch on a thursday and almost everything was cold. Sushi was good if sushi is your thing. Not the best asian buffet in quality.
Pretty mid, semi worth it if you’re someone that eats a lot. I’ve given this place many chances throughout the years and the attitude of these people hasn’t changed once lol.
Was okay but the food is not outstanding or notable. Okay once but I wouldn't go back.
The service staff is unfriendly. The food also did not impress with its taste, although this buffet is hardly cheap. There are no options for refilling drinks. I would recommend visiting the same Paradise buffet, cheaper, tastier and with friendlier people inside.
While the price is good for a buffet in Los Angeles, California the quality of food needs to be better, with the exception of the grill and Mongolian BBQ, which is made to order. However, the cook at the grill needs training to know what well done means. I sampled several of the food items, none of which was worth going back for more. The French fries 🍟 tasted stale, the ear of corn 🌽 had a rubber texture, due to being over cooked, and possibly old. The salmon fish had a very odd taste to it to the point if it not tasting very good at all. The price for one person is $11.00 rounded up. Drinks are not included in the price, and costs nearly $2.00, which includes refills, but the waiters never asked if we (myself and one other person) if we wanted a refill, until we were ready to leave. There is off street parking, and is located about a block South of Sunset Blvd on the West side of Western. The cheesecake was the best desert choice, all other desert items tasted old, and lacked flavor that one would expect from melons.
Unfortunately two years ago at this place was one of my best buffet experiences for money.. great sushi, amazing steak, great mongolian bbq, adequate salad bar nice desserts. Walked in today around afternoon to find the steak/mongolian bbq area closed and blocked off. Hopefully things will recover. I feared the giant Target building on corner of Sunset and Western would interfere. Luckily it has not. Good Luck.
The food itself is delicious but when I asked for an unsweetened iced tea, I got water twice. Clearly someone didn't refill it with black tea. When I told the Server, he did not believe it and I asked him to taste it himself. It was iced water. Another employee was listening and had a huge attitude so the 3 STARS is for the poor customer service and I would have given a 4 Star if they hadn't behaved so rudely. Something for everyone to keep in mind: You don't have a job without us customers.
This has been our go to when there is an occasion particularly birthdays in my family, however, the last time we went was this past Thanksgiving and we were all very disappointed with both the food and the crew. The dishes were very salty and the texture was soggy. The seafood particulary the crabs which were among our favorites didn't taste fresh and were very salty. For an occasion that they expect to have large number of customers, there were only like 4 people and they were very scarce. You could not find them for a while and when you see someone, they would only be collecting plates and clearing tables. You can't find people to ask for drinks refill or to order drinks, to ask to refill soups. We were going to try another well rated buffet but unfortunately it was too late for us so we decided to go here because we at least knew we liked the food, but now we are decided to not go here anymore.

They dropped the ball . I specifically went for the grilled bbq but it was not serving that night or gone ??? Very disappointed for the price I paid for the whole family. (Should have went to Panda's Express two blocks away and saved $100.00) the quality of food is a sad sack of potatoes. Smh , I felt like I was robbed of my integrity. The staff was great no complaints on that, just the food quality . Not worth paying $141.00 for 2 adults and 4 kids . Save your $$$ and just go to sizzler's or ktown ( you'll thank me later) I tried to enjoy what was at the Buffett but not the same with the grilled meats . I will not come back nor recommend to anybody. I'm Jason Morimoto and this statement is 100% true!!!
The restrooms are tree feet from the food and the smell comes out from it, the staff don't clean plates frequently don't refill your drinks the place was renowned and looks really nice and have a variety of food but this place needs to be improve on cleanness $19.99 on dinner but $20.99 on weekends whole day
$73.34 for two buffet and two sodas. Wait staff sucked, couldn't get a refill on my drink and got it myself. Food wasn't that good. Crab was WAY over cooked, shrimp also. But don't dare say anything.
Average at best, and yet filling with some notable taste. Not for the discerning palette and certainly not gourmet, for all you can eat buffet these days, there is some value here if you like certain kinds of foods and have the need to fill up your belly. Fried and stir-fry are generally good, as they are high volume movers. Many of the cooked seafood items are actually decent but be cautious for anything that seems to be sitting for a long time. Crab legs, when available, are hit or miss. The Mongolian BBQ is well belong average as the sauce and preparation is not the best. As for the sushi station, it will be a gamble and do trust your nose and instincts. This is a buffet thus the deserts and service neither good or bad. There is value here and I guess this is what counts.

This is the worst place to eat!! the food was really bad!!! and the service worst! they charge 10% de tips and never came to pick the uses dishes!!! never come back!!!
If I could give zero , I would do so. Worst experience ever with this place. They close @ 8:30 however before that they shut the coffee machine, no grill food no rest room . Are you kidding me ,? That is totally insane. Never come back to this place .
🤢🤮🤮 horrible place smells disgusting and food taste like it's gone bad I don't understand how this place has not shut down I could not eat anything the smell was strong and special by the raw food area and they over charged me I left feeling sick! NEVER AGAIN!!! No star if I could I would rate it a ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Definitely my worst experience in Los Angeles, I ended up with diarrhea and vomiting. the food does not maintain temperature and apparently the rotation of food is not something that this place practices. I got food poisoning and had to end my vacation in the worst way. a disgusting place, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT 🤬🤢😵💫🤕😪🤒🤮🥵😭
Horrible food not worth the price they pre charge tip but the waiters are no help at all and just have no good customer service
I was really excited to taste the food but everything I tried was old and cold, I am really disappointed and wasted a lot of food because it was not good to eat
I've come here before, and the only reason why I was here recently was because my husband likes the food and really did deserve a treat. I paid for us. The waiter consistently deferred to my husband. I'm grieving right now, and a friend came to meet me and be supportive. She came in to see me right away. She didn't know about the pay 1st policy, and frankly, I didn't know she was going to stay. Before any of that could be discussed, a cashier came up and asked her to pay for her lunch. She was embarrassed by this because it was her 1st time there, and she didn't know about paying first AND she didn't say she was staying. Suddenly, coming to see a friend was costing her. She paid. She ate a half-plate and left. My grieving with a friend was stepped on by a waiter with issues. She asked for water and the bs started. This restaurant seems to be challenged when it comes to dealing with blacks or tables with mixed clientele. I've come here enough to recognize the behavior.
DO NOT GO. Food safety is out the door, found a curly black hair in the food. All the meat was so dangerous smelling and looking. Not sure how you can have a cold buffet but they are doing it!
For being about 35 a person and not having fresh quality food out is crazy. Everything tasted as if it was frozen. Warm foods were turned cold and layed out instead of removing it. Bathroom was a mess, toilet paper was everywhere and trash bins were all full. The server was rude and dismissive. Will not be coming back.
Cold food, hairs were found in food, rubbery seafood, and immediately became sick within 30 minutes of eating the little food we tried. There’s other buffets with far better food, that won’t be a health hazard.
Everything is as in the picture but none of them taste worth a penny. Bananas only look like bananas and they have no taste at all. I understand everything. You made the food bad. How can you make the fruits bad?
They had poor variety on food and that is very expensive the people going to pay almost 40 dollars for one person and don’t have to many choices I come here for recommendations but I finish totally disappointed
The food is nasty it’s super cold so I tend to complain to the manager he touches it and feels it it’s super cool and then turns around and goes and turns of the AC. Not wor sweating because it’s super hot it is not come back to apologize for anything just walks away and disappears. By looking at him he acts like everything he fixed I went and picked up another plate again called just like you took out food from the refrigerator. I will never recommend anybody come over here it’s horrible nasty place next is phone call to health department.. I wish I could put -30 stars
I don't want to complain because it's too much trouble. My friends are here and I don't want to spoil the fun, but your stir-fried broccoli and beef are full of tiny worms. It's disgusting!!! Not just one or two, but everywhere you look you can see them!!!
Absolutely disgusting experience at King Buffet (1375 N. Western Ave, Los Angeles). The cooks were coughing over the food and not washing their hands—it doesn’t get more unsanitary than that. After seeing this, I lost my appetite, but the little food I did try was just as bad: bland rice, undercooked fish, and overall terrible quality. I felt sick afterward. When I asked for a refund, the manager was rude, dismissive, and refused to take any responsibility. This place is a health hazard and should be avoided at all costs.
Yesterday my husband and I decided to visit this establishment. Since we had just been to the beach, we were very hungry. And at first we didn't pay attention to what was going on in the hall. We took a little bit of everything. The food was terrible... stale, spicy, rubbery. It's scary to imagine what they make it all from. The hall was dirty, the waitresses walked around and sorted things out with each other. After this establishment, my stomach was bursting with pain, I felt sick. Thank you for ruining my mood, my condition. Today I had to cancel everything to improve my health.
food is great but the staff here is extremely rude and act entitled, I dont know where the plate goes so why not nicely tell me where instead of staring at me with an angry face and simply pointed at the direction, also a lady cleaning up the tables kept staring at us and looking at us as if we owed her something, we said thank u each time she would pass by and take our plates and she would just roll her eyes. everyone in there is hostile.
As a regular who would visit often, this place now sucks. They make you pay before you enter adding a tip and elevated prices. They removed a lot of items off the menu and the items that are still there lack flavor and freshness. Tables are sticky, waiters are rude and the overall experience just hit the gutters overnight. Take your business else where. O/5
This was the worst Chinese Food and Service I have ever encountered. I would give it “0” stars if possible. Three of us ate there for dinner and we all got sick later that night. The food was poor quality and overcooked. The seasoning was terrible. I called to let the Manager “Connie” know and her response was “Too Bad.” What an absolute awful way to do business. Go anywhere else but here for your next dinning experience.
Employees were very rude. Since the beggining they were very rude the employees inside were also very rude. The guy making the meat was yelling instead of being helpful he just stared at you and yelled for no reason. The employees picking up the plates and handing drinks were also very rude. One lady was snatching the cups very hard and she gave so much attitude. She was rolling her eyes for asking about drinks and we also witnessed her throwing food at a guys shirt. Overall the customer service was horrible.
Please do not come here, they charge tip prior to sitting. 40 bucks for one person is ridiculous, the food gave me diarrhea. The service is crap, they charge 10 dollars a pound to take home. Oh and the food taste like cardboard, I’m pissed off at this place please do not come.
The worst buffet experience ever. We got in at 7:30 pm, and half of the trays were empty. The grill was closed. And by 8:20 pm the coffee machine was off. However, they ware saying that they will closed at 8:30. I talked to the manager, and she acted like she doesn't understand what I'm saying. Food quality, 2 out of 10. I will not recommend anyone to visit this place.
The workers are so rude they don’t look like they want to be there my waitress gave us a used dirty fork and put it on our table also cups with used straws as well I asked for a refund they just said sorry and gave me my money back and that’s was it until I went to give it a second chance and this time I caught a bug of some sort on the vegetables for the Mongolian noodle bar the service is horrible and the food as well wouldn’t recommend
The food selection is good, with plenty of options to choose from. Unfortunately, the service was nonexistent. No one came by to check if we needed refills or additional drinks the entire time. One person working the hibachi station was extremely rude and visibly upset, acting as if he didn’t want to be there. While I understand he was alone and the area was very busy, that frustration was taken out on customers, which is not acceptable. Overall, the experience felt overpriced for the level of service received. With better customer service and attitude, this place could be much better.
Food is barely edible and they charge you fees on top of fees, way too expensive for how bad the food is. I saw the reviews and thought the food didn't look that bad. Well, looks can be deceiving. The meat is tasteless and chewy and the whole place is messy. Came with my wife and two kids and even though the kids weren't going to eat. They charged us a fee for each, they're 2 and 4 yo. On top of that there's a service charge, so for the four of us it was about $100... way too expensive for what this is. Will definitely not come back here, ever.
I found Fly 🪰 in the food. OMG. When I complained to the staff, she said the manager wasn't there and gave me $10. Are you kidding me? I didn't take it. The staff should have refunded us. The customer service was terrible. Also The food and seafood were not fresh, and the fruit looked spoiled beyond edibility. The food turnover rate was also poor. I will never go back there again.
Connie was extremely rude really has to learn how to communicate. Started saying wrong things in Chinese. Came with my friends clearly asked before paying and then she said we never asked. And the food is not even fresh. It just tastes bland, Definitely not worth it. Don’t waste your money.
DO NOT GO TO KING BUFFET. This place is disgusting. I bit into the chicken and it was raw inside!!! absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. When I told one of the staff, they just shrugged and said, “The manager isn’t here so we can’t give you a refund.” Seriously? No apology, no solution, just a “too bad, not our problem” attitude. If you value your health and your money, STAY FAR AWAY from this place. The food is sketchy, the service is a joke, and clearly no one there cares about safety or customer satisfaction. This place should be shut down. Don’t risk it ,there are way better options out there.
