Not too crowded and pool table wait wasn't bad
Live bands, reasonable drinks What more can a person want?
Our bartender Cisco was hilarious and great !
Cool dive bar, good atmosphere. Cheap beer
Cheep and good and cool weird music, it's a bar !!!
Homey feeling bar. Good place to chill and relax
Great dj
It's a great place to go and have a drink With Friends

Live this place, even tho they painted it white
Awesome drinks 6$ happy hr
one of the best spots in echo park. sitting in the booths by the window as the sun goes down is legendary and wonderful.
no longer the dive bar it once was, but Sunset really doesnt need any more of those...great new spot!
Loved every cocktail we had there. Great place to meet everyone before walking to Dodger Stadium.
Wow, this place was VERY different before. I liked it before but this is good for humanity
I haven't been in this bar for over 20 years! What a refreshing experience! Can't wait to come back, soon👍
One of my favorite bars true wells are higher end the vide is great, the music is always good. Local hangout!
Chill environment. Everyone was very nice and cheerful.
My friend and fellow Mensa member, Don Andes owns this nightery. I encourage social drinkers to patronize it and say hi to him.
Love this place had fun good drinks fare prices nice trippy performances on Sunday's
Nice Vibe, Great Layout. Looks more like a Dive Bar than it really is from the outside. 👍🏽
This place has been closed the last few times o e come during their “open hours” anyone know what’s up?
Perfect chill spot with good ambience and really affordable beer prices
Nice and easy. Marisha spinning Mall hits was the greatest! 😁
Great place for Drinks. Very nice pool table.
This place is cool. Newly renovated from the last dive bar that was there. Theres a pool table, some live music sometimes, decent selection. This place can get crowded on weekends though, like really crowded. And really loud. But whatever it's a bar.
I love Little Joy, it's quite low-key during the week and on Sunday night. It's a dark bar so it's a good place to take a Tinder date if your profile pics are deceiving 😉
Little Joy is the official sponsor of World Dodgeball Society's Echo Park league on Tuesdays. Therefore, you'll find me usually hanging here Tuesday evenings with the rest of the adults wearing knee pads draping over their ankles, dried sweat and workout clothes. If you see us, you know where we just came from - two amazing hours of friendly dodgeball competition play! What I love most about this bar is the ONE pool table they have for FREE play. When I don't feel I've received enough competition during dodgeball, I sign up for some billiards. Some great players play here often so it's a good switch of games for some friendly fun. Drinks are pretty cheap and they have my favorite non-alcoholic beer Paulaner for $5. Sometimes after a good workout, I just want some hydration -- not the opposite! However, I am a big fan of their Pilsner ($6) and Allagash White Ale ($6). Parking used to be easy when the grocery store parking lot a few stores down from Little Joy was open after hours. But a few months ago they chained it off so nobody can park there now.even after the grocery store is closed for the day. SUCKS.
Super chill vibe. Service was impeccable. Sick locash. Close to Dodger Stades. Try the LA mule.
This is a killer little spot. Clean and safe but a funky, neighborhood vibe to it. Good curated beer selection and my bartender was a pro. Definitely authentic EP vibe.
If you're a dodgers fan come through. If not... Good luck Charlie.
Found this place on a drive to find somewhere to eat. Loved this little place. Very friendly and informative staff (had street parking questions). Drinks were great and the atmosphere was nice.
This place has changed a LOT since I first discovered it. Before it was some small dive bar with just a single pool table at the end, which I actually loved! But last weekend my friend picked this place for our birthdays, at least one of the stops 😉 and it was sooo different.. music with everyone dancing.. pretty crowded but in a good way! Good vibes! Bouncer didnt believe it was my ID at first umm ok is that a compliment? Either way he wasnt a douche about it.. plus my vacc card has the same name and info..? (Side note: they're carding for vaccination! One friend couldn't get in b/c of it, no joke.) lol anyway it's a great spot. Even though it seems there are more people coming to this spot and more hipster-like.. I'd still come back. It's all love. ♡
Very nice spot. Great drinks. Prick me up is my favorite.

Had an extended stay nearby and frequented this bar. The bartenders were so kind, drinks were fun and unique, and the pool table is level, plus pool players were friendly. Really loved it there.
Nice little dive bar, good vibes from the DJ. Parking is a NIGHTMARE on Dodgers game days though: I’d recommend staying away from this area altogether if you’re planning on getting here after the game.
This bar has some of the best drinks and atmosphere in all of Los Angeles. Service was top notch as the bartenders and managers went above and beyond. This will always be my go to bar in the are and I cannot recommend it enough for great drinks, music, vibes, and people.
Great cocktails. Good vibes.
Very pretty inside and out. Drinks have original spin on classics. Love that they encourage you to bring your own food. Hard to park but that's to be expected with location
Was on a date . Very laid Back and enjoyable place
The drinks are incredible. Depending on if there’s anything happening around dodger stadium the vibe can be either very chill, or super packed and crazy. Either way it’s a great place to hang! Staff is amazing and very talented. Shoutout to Lindsay and Cait for being the best!!

Friendly, fast service with great happy hour drink options.
Great after Dodgers game.
Ah, my little hang in Echo Park! Please bring back the Talk Show! George?
Quant little bar with pool table. Young, friendly, hipster crowd.
Great bar and close to Dodgers stadium!
Good little spot. Good drinks and good music.
a "neighborhood" place//in all the best and worst ways//no place for your moms
In addition to a non-hipster, moderateley sketch, bourbon-tastic, burgergasmic experience, Broken Record now serves pulled pork fries. I repeat, PULLED PORK FRIES! WITH CHEESE SAUCE ON TOP! I'm pretty sure they are what Zeus eats atop Mount Olympus.
Little Joy is a great place for karaoke Wednesdays and have good drink specials. Nothing fancy about the decor but that's why I love it.
They host a monthly bar box pool tournament. They have a full bar with reasonably priced drinks. Parking in the area is not good.
Usually a cool place, but sometimes the music choices are just totally wrong for the crowd.
Has a pool table. Solid crowd. Solid drink selection. Worth it to stop by here on your bar crawl down Sunset.
Fun dive bar with mostly good tunes that people dance to. Limited seating, some booths and stools, mostly standing room. Bar can get extremely busy and you're not looked upon fondly if you order cocktails! They take card and cash payments. Definitely not a fancy place. Easy to get a rideshare home.
They remodeled. I like the large open windows. The bar is a bit too large/deep tho, and has a slight Tuscan restaurant vibe. Maybe some of the divey charm can come back.
This place is a nice and intimate bar with pool tables and some decent priced liquid. It's dark and grunge-y with candles here and there, and some great music playing in the background. Nice vibe, nice people.
Nice space for casual drinks, dancing, playing pool and a wonderful and caring bar staff
Definitely an unexpected surprise. I liked the Saturday night DJing and appreciated the barebones nature of the place. I'm surprised there wasn't any cocktail menu, and ended up having to stick with some basic mixed drinks during my time there.
Great neighborhood bar with a DJ playing a variety of music from 00s hip hop, house, etc. signature cocktails are pretty average, few beer options. Plenty of seating and room for dancing!
I was happy to see that they are only allowing those in with proof of vaccination. I only gave it 4 stars because absolutely nobody was wearing a mask. I know that might be a lot to ask for a bar but I was there to see a band and would have appreciated some sort of a mask rule since we were packed in to a little room.
This is a ok bar. I like the environment more than the actual drinks. They also had a lot of flies when I went which was a bit annoying

Came here on a bar crawl and our bartender Lindsay was a gem… vibes were impeccable. Fun spot, friendly crowd, great place for a drink with friends!

This dive is OK. Try Gold Room down the street if there's 'riff raff' going on here.
It was ok. Not much of a vibe. But maybe it just wasn't my vibe you know?
Nothing too crazy. A bar to grab some cocktails at. Nice enough
Dive bar with an interesting crowd. Drinks were cheap!
A little hole in the wall spot, packed with wall to wall hipsters, and ceiling to floor with disconnected transplants who drive the cost of living up in smaller neighborhoods. Please return to your origins and let us have our dive bars back.
The bartenders rarely get around to taking your order. I stood at the end of the bar for 20 mins before the bartender looked up to take my order. He held his finger up signaling one minute and then finished his conversation.
Small LA Dive Bar. Crowd around late twenties . Good prices. Good Gin n Tonic.
At first I thought Little Joy was a Chinese restaurant from the outside. Little did I know it's a hip little dive bar just steps away from The Short Stop. We came here for a drink after an event in Silverlake. It was pretty crowded for a Tuesday night. The crowd was a mix of locals and hipsters. A DJ was spinning and also a live band that left right after we got there. The atmosphere was lively and unpretentious which I like. Everyone there just enjoying a cheap drink and music. NO COVER
Pretty small bar, solid drinks, decent music and decent vibe. Honestly nothing really good or bad about this place, it's about as bar-y as bars go. If you bring a good group tho this place can be awesome
Great vibes, amazing drinks. However, the DJ wouldn’t play Say you’ll be there by the spice girls, which we all know would have gotten the crowd activated. Also, did not seem to have Rihanna available to spin. Only reason for 3 stars. Love to all
Boring, dark, lack of options. Staff was great.
Not a disco bar just a con job on New Years hope they reinstate the disco night
Honestly when the man just approached me and told me to buy something or leave I knew this place wasent going to be enjoyable. I can't believe I thought it was going to be a place to chill and just vibe if I'm going to be harassed to order something or be forced to leave.
Met a cool guy here, called himself the King of Echo Park. Actual place didn’t stand out but still had fun, overall good experience
Dj on friday made it feel like we were listening to a now thats what I call music compilation and it wasnt the vibe

terrible stuff! never come back again!
If you want to experience very little joy then this is the place to go. The bartenders were only engaged with each other, we felt like an inconvenience!
assaulted by security guard for not showing “respect,” absolutely nothing done by management. also took 20 minutes to get a shot.
Space is great. Stick to beer and wine. Do not order cocktails, just don’t.
I got called out for telling the DJ at Little Joy at 1477 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026 for taking bribes on 1-31-18, specifically for charging $10 for having a girl sing a song on karaoke night, and I got kicked out, This place is not a placed I'd recommend whatsoever.
Go here if you want to spend your Saturday waiting 30 minutes to have multiple bartenders completely ignore you. Don't waste your time.
Customers were racist, bartender and doorman threw our drinks out while we were outside smoking. I won't be back, ever.
As someone reviewed before, I was also overcharged 50 dollars exactly for what reason I’m not sure.. I only ordered one beer and see a 50 dollar transaction on my card. I don’t know if it was the same girl but it was a female with dark hair and kinda dead eyes, I don’t know if this is an error but I won’t be coming here spending money again if you don’t want your money taken. Very fishy.
Used to be an amazing place, with a punk rock sort-of "F**k You" vibe to it. Now it's a shell of its former self. Overcrowded with pretentious hipsters who feel as if they're the most important people in the city because they're participating in the "new cool" LA neighborhood. You'll be hard pressed to find any locals here. Steer clear of this place if you're not into long waits to get in, hipsters talking about hipster crap, and unbearably loud music.
Horrible service. The bartender served a ton of people that arrived after us. After 20 minutes when we tried to get her attention she asked if ‘it was an emergency’. Definitely not going to spend my money here anymore.
Walked by coming back from the farmer's market by myself (June 8, 7 PM), big tall black guy working as security verbally harassed me as I walked by. Not a safe spot for women.
This bar has had like 3 changes in management in the past year, they NEVER have the menu in stock, and the bartenders are rude. You are better off at Bar Flores.
Bar is good but the door man is so stoic he sucks, they need a new door man that’s more welcoming.
I went with a buddy tonight and I only got one round of drinks (2 pilseners) which totaled $18.00 plus $4.00 tip. Total should be $22.00. We left after I paid to go somewhere else. I checked my bank statement as I returned home and saw it was $50.00. That's shady. C'mon ppl, do better. How many other ppl have gotten scammed. I'm hoping it was a mistake so I don't lose faith in humanity.
Tried coming here a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. We were a group of 15 and arrived early, waiting in line like everyone else. The line was moving quickly, so we didn’t anticipate any issues. However, after about half of our group got in, the bouncer abruptly and rudely told the rest of us that no one else would be allowed in for the rest of the night and that we should just go home. He even said we’d be wasting our time if we tried waiting. I politely asked if there was any chance the rest of our group could join to celebrate the birthday, and his response was unnecessarily defensive and condescending—he went on a complete power trip and made it clear there was zero chance of accommodating us. If this is the kind of attitude the venue allows at the door, I have no interest in ever coming back. We were ready to celebrate, stay for a while, and have a good time, but instead, we were treated with complete disrespect. Once those inside heard what happened, they came back out, and we all left together. It’s a shame—this place came highly recommended, but the unprofessional and arrogant behavior of the bouncer completely ruined the night. Definitely not worth the time or energy.

I normally don’t post these but I’m pretty sure the bartender skimmed my card here tonight. Got my card handed back number side up which I thought was kinda strange, and then immediately after my drink charges there were about $200+ worth of purchases from WhatNot. It sucks because I loved going here but this is just idiotic and disrespectful. If any management is reading this please contact me. thanks
This used to be, hands-down, the best bar in the neighborhood. The cocktails are excellent, the pool table was free or cheap, the crowd was chill and friendly. And then The Renovation. Now, it pretends to be a nightclub. The music is at painful volume at all times, even afternoons with only a handful of people in the bar. It's difficult to hear a person even sitting directly next to you. I don't know how the staff put up with it. When there *is* a crowd, it's completely unmanageable. Gentrification takes away so many great spots, but this is somehow an even worse shame, a neighborhood institution that became the Chipotle version of itself.
There was indeed a very little joy at this place. Obnoxious security and the owner, poorly made cocktails and overall extremely disrespectful attitude towards guests. Not surprised of poor rating. There are much better places around it!
Staff was rude and they over charged me and my friends. I had one drink and they charged us all $50 EACH! now I have to call my bank. Thanx. Lame place lame location. Gentrification at its finest. This $50 charge is the only one I have ever experienced in LA. Or any bar. Check the reviews before you go.
Service is the worst. The staff do everything they can to look busy even when it's not busy. You will be ignored multiple times when you try to flag someone down. I've been here a few times and the last 2 times made me want to leave immediately. Our last visit, it was almost empty. However we were sitting at the bar for a few minutes before we had to flag someone. Then once our order was taken, another bartender comes by and asks if our order was taken, which I dont understand. I think there's so much emphasis on looking busy like cleaning glasses and lighting candles lol but no emphasis on customer service.
I came here to have like 3 drinks and they charged me 50$ for my first drink. It was my first time visiting this bar. Why these people got to be like that? And after that I still get charged another 10$ for my last drink. I had 2 drinks at this bar and the bartender charged me 60$! There is months I don't have enough money for food by the end of the month so now I need to visit food banks so I have food to eat. I came to this bar just to have 3 drinks and for some reason the woman who is a bartender ended up charging me 60$. I was interested in meeting new people because I deal with isolation issues. And I liked the environment of this place but I don't want to return to this business.
