Please do yourself a favor and come try this spot. The coconut adobo beef was off the chain! Real chill vibe, good music, super friendly staff.
In short, This place is a MUST TRY. Fantastic food, ambiance and the most hospitable service. With a few more details, I heard about this place from a friend and it looked very interesting to me so l decided to try it. Not your average boq that's for sure and for LA BBQ this is a huge positive. It reflects the owners' backgrounds and neighborhood with a take on delicious bbq. Johneric, and his wife are part-owners that I met and they had the most fascinating stories of how some of the dishes came to be. The stories showed us how much thought, heritage and love is in the food. The inside was clean and the decor symbolized the Filipino twist in the bbq you're about to have. The service was fantastic, prompt and quick. Now for the food; Every single thing I ate here was delicious. On Wednesdays, you get to try many things in one plate and that's what they call the Wednesday worker plate, and that's what I got. Pulled pork was juicy without the sauce. Links were great. Candied chicken was fantastic. The cornbread was amazing and has a hint of coconut. The star of the show for me was the coconut beef adobo. It was so delicious I had to order more. So l got another order of the coconut beef adobo with rice and packed the leftovers to go. It was fantastic. This is a unique plate to Park's Finest Boq, and if you're visiting LA or a local, you should come eat this here, and I'll tell you why. It's not a dish you can find anywhere else. The slight heat with coconut mix and beef chunks mixed with the warm white rice created a heart warming and belly craving feeling that's make you a happy you tried it. For dessert, the Ube flan was amazing. Great texture and flavor. I can't say no to anything Ube. The table sauces are fantastic and I could put them on everything. I wish they would bottle them. They have a good selection of beers on tap and in the can. Great location close to echo park and downtown and mid city. There is street parking but if you can ride-share here that might be best. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will def be coming back.
man…… that was so delectable ….. my bf and i got the beef tri tip, esquite, the hot dog/longanisa, and the coconut beef ….. man… everything was so….. wow……. amazing …. service was amazing and attentive too, everyone was so nice but like wow the food.. was so tender and flavorful and the corn was so yummy as well and the sauces that are in the squeeze bottles on the table were so crazy delicious i was tempted to ask what it was so i could buy some for myself…. 100000/10, anyways i highly highly recommend this place especially the beef tri-tip, it was bonkers.
We absolutely love this place! And we don’t have to drive far! If you haven’t been yet please give it a try! You will forsure keep going back! The music playlist is always on point and they will always have sports on! GO BLUE! Let them know the Joneses sent you! I even made a reservation for the wrong day and they were so accommodating! Thanks guys!
Mama Leah's coconut beef. Was amazing. Little spicy for me but well worth it. Got Esquite which is corn was delicious. It's like a family plate so me and the wife shared and had left over to go. If your close by come try then out. Also got the Philippine beer from Philippines was good.
Came here for lunch today before the Dodger game since it's close to the stadium. We tried the hot links, shortribs, gouda mac, and esquite. Our server was awesome and even gave us a sample of the tri tip at the end. I preferred the shortribs but my son preferred the tri tip. Just depends on if you like fattier meat (shortribs) or leaner meat (tri tip). Everything was delicious and we plan to visit again before the next game! 6/21/25 came back here again with the whole fam before another Dodger game...had the shortribs, hot links, and gouda mac again but added the pork ribs and riblets, and cornbread bibingka. So good! 😋
I saw a YouTube video on this place a couple years ago, and I've always missed the opportunity everytime I came down socal. My family and I were finally able to make it on my birthday. This place was definitely worth it. We came on a friday afternoon and it was kind of slow in there, but perfect just for us to get full attention. The staff was very friendly. The food was very delicious! I can't wait to make my way back from Sacramento to eat at this wonderful establishment again.
Oh man, the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I’m vegetarian and prefer vegan if I can, and I loved every morsel of this meal. Me and my buddy split almost everything they had that was veggie friendly and each dish was jaw dropping. Also I find it hard to ever find vegetarian Filipino food so that was such a treat. Everyone from the server to the manager and the cook were super amazing and the tunes were spot on. I’m so happy this place is walking distance from me. Gonna take all my friend here! Oh and the beer, amazing. They got Ube beer!
Local Love Lunch Bowl / pulled pork, buttered corn, rice - 5⭐! Ann's Cornbread Bibingka - 5⭐! I found The Park's Finest through social media. Their social media page is entertaining, informative, and clearly shows their love for Los Angeles and their Filipino culture. I was inspired to visit when I saw they announced a Thursday/Friday lunch special and visited on a Thursday to try them out. They have a lovely, colorful and large space on a quiet corner near DTLA. The outside of their restaurant has a large, artistic mural and lets you know this place is going to be fun. The interior art and decor was also eye-catching and set the tone for my visit. The dining room was quiet on my visit but everyone I talked to was friendly and the service was excellent. They made sure to let me know there is a different lunch special on Wednesday called the Worker Wednesday Plate. It sounded awesome and something I want to return to try out asap. I really appreciate when a restaurant offers a value lunch. I am no stranger to a big, fancy meal but it is nice to have hearty, healthy, and filling options. The lunch bowl was a perfect amount of food, everything was tasty and fresh and the pulled pork was sensational. Pulled pork is just one protein option they offer for the lunch bowl. Since I follow them on social media, I knew I wanted to try their special cornbread. It was fantastic! I am new to Filipino food and I am glad I got to try out The Park's Finest. Their full menu looks amazing and they seem to be run by people who really care about their place in the LA culinary landscape. I parked on the street so I didn't notice if they had a parking lot option for guests.
Filipino rendition of classic American barbecue. The food portion is massive, each protein dish can easily feed two. My friend really liked the coconut beef. I think it's a bit too sweet, but that's the Filipino palate. I think their cornbread is amazing and a must. Reasonably priced and good service. Best to come with a group of 4 or more so you can share. Recommend if you're in the area. Parking is tough, I go to the street across the bridge but it's a bit ghetto.
While staying in the neighborhood, this restaurant was recommended by George who checked us in and were so grateful that he did! What an amazingly delicious and SO welcoming place to spend a few hours. We loved it. The food? Delicious!! Filipino BBQ, delicious corn bread. We ordered too much food and the owner was kind enough to bring coconut beef adobo for us to try. So good, tasting homemade with deep flavors and silky texture. The restaurant is accessible. It was full of groups and families having a grand time. Someone’s birthday was celebrated and everyone sang. Placing it on our list to return the next time we travel to LA.
If you want good Filipino food from a family owned cozy staple in Filipino town then this is the place to go! Came by here during a visit to LA and it was recommended by some friends who live in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed at all. Here are some takeaways: Environment This is a small cozy restaurant that has a family style vibe to it. A great welcoming energy, we felt right at home. We stopped around midday during the week so it wasn't a lot of people there. Overall it was relaxing and warm - great for lunch with friends or if you're alone and want to grab a bite to eat. Service Our server happened to also be the daughter of the owners. She was great and was happy to share some of the history of the restaurant with me. She was very helpful with telling us about the food and giving us recommendations. Great service! Food and drinks We had a little bit of everything - and all of it was great! Here's a run down of everything we had: MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBO ANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKA STEAMED WHITE RICE NOEL'S SMOKED GOUDA MAC SAN PABLO PULLED PORK Everything was delicious. The coconut beef (amazing!) was great with the steamed white rice, the mac and cheese was tasty, the pulled pork had a lot of flavor and the cornbread was warm and sweet, but not too sweet. Again - all the food was great. Overall Lovely family owned restaurant. So glad that we stopped by here. If i'm ever in LA again this will definitely be a place I'll visit again. Great food with a great story.
Clean local Filipino BBQ restaurant known for its longevity in the local downtown Los Angeles area. This restaurant is also famous because Mr. Guy Fiery 🔥 from Diners, Dives and Drive 🚗 visited their restaurant and was featured on his famous show. Their tender BBQ chicken (inasal), tri tip and other Filipino dishes are very tasty and delicious. They have a great selection of craft beers and desserts are so yummy, the decadent flans were velvety soft. Their price point is a bit higher than a regular asian restaurant though. Nothing fancy here, just good and tasty food with a clean ambiance. Parking is a bit of a challenge though and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy but still worth the drive and a visit.
The Park's Finest – A Standout Filipino-Infused BBQ Experience in Los Angeles I was very impressed with The Park's Finest, a Filipino-infused barbecue restaurant in Los Angeles that truly lives up to the hype. We started with the Coconut Beef, which was absolutely delicious — tender, flavorful, and infused with a rich, savory coconut essence that added a unique depth to the dish. The Mac and Cheese was also a standout: creamy, comforting, and perfectly cheesy, serving as a great pairing with the meats. The Short Ribs followed, and they were nothing short of succulent. Fall-off-the-bone tender with a beautifully smoky glaze, they captured everything you want in a well-executed barbecue dish. But the real highlight of the meal was dessert — specifically, the Ube Flan. While the Buko Pandan Flan was light and refreshing, the Ube Flan stole the show. Its earthy, subtly sweet flavor and velvety texture made it a perfect end to the meal and one of the most memorable flans I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for bold flavors, soulful comfort food, and creative takes on Filipino classics, The Park’s Finest is a must-visit.
For context, my family went here for a Sunday lunch. Menu can be scanned via QR code which is handy. Parking can be tough, that is a big issue we faced when we arrived. We had to park in the side street of LA. About 12-15 tables inside, and more seating outside. Definitely can be packed on some days. Food is 3/5 stars, I highly recommend the coconut adobo, it’s a perfect mixture of adobo and ginataan, never really thought of that combo. Rice comes in 3 scoops. We didn’t like that the ribs and the tri-tip were not warm enough, it felt like they microwaved it and was not fresh from the grill? The sauces they have carried the flavor. Felt scammed out of the cornbread bibingka, try it out, but we won’t be buying it again too overpriced, nothing too special. Service is 5/5, the servers were friendly and gave us options, the owners were present acting as the servers and explained to us about the history of Park’s Finest and context about the food. It was our first time there. Atmosphere 4/5, it is too moody and dark, can use a bit more lighting. Maybe a light bulb on top of the table? 😅 cool modern design however, maybe its darker during the daytime. The wash room is clean and has all amenities. Overall 4/5, would come again but not cravings. They have Wednesday, Thursday-Friday deals, definitely check those out. Bill came out to $80+
I just got off work and feeling hungry. The pictures of this BBQ place caught my eyes. Parking in this area was a bit rough as it is street parking only. Servers were friendly and nice. They asked if I had a reservation, and I told them no. I was worried that I will have to wait, but I was seated right away. How lucky?! I ordered the short ribs, Mac and cheese, and the corn bread. I saw a lot of people ordered Togo/pick up. Also, this place was getting busy as I was waiting for my food. Food was served soon after I placed the order. Short ribs: it was very tender. However, it had lack of flavor. There was a lot of fat as well. Mac and cheese: it tasted very bland. I added BBQ sauce, which made it tasted better. Corn bread: it was my favorite. It was sweet and had the flavor of corn. I felt like eating sweet corn. Service was great. However, I will probably not come back again if I am craving for BBQ.
I am a big fan of Triple D and bbq so when I heard of this spot I was like I must go!! I love bbq places that fuse ethnic dishes (Filipino food here) and traditional bbq. I was excited to try their bbq and their famous “corn bread”. I went with Guy’s recommendations: Timuay Beef Tri-Tip and Ann’s Cornbread Bibingka. The tri tip came out super quick it was definitely not “fresh” my guess is it was a re-heat. Tri tip is supposed to be served medium rare with pink the color on the tri tip and taste lended to the fact it was a reheat. The meat should sing on its flavors this definitely fell flat. I’d say the sauces that you could pair with it such as the vinegar based sauce and horseradish were highlights yet they shouldn’t be the main draw the tri tip flavor fell flat. The highlight for me was the cornbread; it’s very sweet and addicting. A must order!! It took a little longer to get to the table I loved every bite. I don’t know how to recommend this spot; if the meat was “fresh” it’d be a whole different review.
