Opinions de Hey Hey Los Angeles
I love this place! The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere inside is perfect! Even the music they place is incredible!
Hey Hey is such a cozy boba tea café where you instantly feel comfortable and relaxed the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is simply amazing: warm and inviting décor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating for unwinding. Great music plays in the background, creating a pleasant and uplifting mood. The walls are decorated with fascinating photos and stories about how this place was created, adding even more charm. And the boba here is absolutely delightful — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Every detail feels well thought out, making you want to come back again and again.
A very cool and calm bubble tea store, perfect to relax and chill out in while you sip. They have some of the more unique flavours i've seen too, unalike the typical bbt menu, they have some special flavours. I got this strawberry sparkling drink and it was definitely unique to say the least!
My favorite pit-stop to get refreshing Hey Hey boba drinks and mouth watering onigiri! I’m hooked on the Mangry, tastes amazingly sweet, spicy, and soury combo of passion fruit, tajiín, mango, and lychee jelly! Tried their Strike, it was alright I can appreciate that tickling chocolate-hazelnut taste, if u prefer strong espresso be my guest. I’m not a dark coffee fan, but the pocky almond on the side made things better.
Awesome chill space for a store that doesn’t sell much. I’ve never had boba tea before but what I drank was really good. I wish they had more stuff on the menu and a little more food and other options. If you’re looking for a chill spot for non alcohol it’s good.
Great, vibrant space to hang out, socialize, or spend a few hours just working. Love the interior and vibe. Drinks are great - not sickeningly sweet like many boba places. Haven’t tried their food yet but heard that it’s good. Come visit and stay a while. — New menu is up go check em out! Matchstick: matcha frappe, boba, milo, sea salt creme (prob not new but I just tried it and iit’s my favorite drink there now)
There is no other boba cafe quite like Hey Hey. Each drink at this tea house-inspired lounge feels like more than just a recipe, but a concept unto itself. Rather than overpowering sweeteners, the multitude of fresh ingredients shines through each sip. "The Chai Boy" contains spiced chai with chunks of earthy ube, while the "Mango Tango" is a classic iced tea refresher with a mango compote sitting at the bottom. Hey Hey also opens its doors early in the morning, well before most boba cafes, thanks to its lineup of coffee-based drinks, including the cafe seda, a Vietnamese iced coffee with dark, bold flavors. That comes topped with a pungent espresso powder sprinkled on top of a homemade salted cream, alongside a sprig of mint. Hey Hey goes above and beyond with presentation. Most notably with drinks like "the Matchstick:" a green frappe layered like a parfait, adorned with a tiny Kit Kat on top like a wand waiting to ignite magical matcha flavors into the drink. 1555 W. Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90026. Closest Metro line and stop: Bus Line 4 - “Sunset/Echo Park.”
A cute boba shop. There are a lot of seatings indoor and outdoor. You can come here just to get boba and chill or work here. I like their HeyHey drink.
Hippy aesthetic tea shop (prices do reflect that as well) but the drinks are good!! I like that it wasn’t overwhelmingly sugary sweet. They’ve got lots of board games and plenty of comfy seating.

The Mango Tango saved my life. After the protests, I was hot, frazzled, and frustrated. One sip of this bad baby calmed my nerves and made me ready for the summer, AND LA, again.

The atmosphere was pretty decent, good music and the staff is very friendly. The drinks were pretty good too. I liked the oolong milk tea drink that they recommended, would’ve got it with the boba though if I was to do it again
Got the Strike & matchastick and side of cookies.(yes they were both for me😮💨) presentation is cute. We'll balanced, the foam on top or whip is good. Not the best I've tried but they're alright. Cookies are a bit pricey but the texture is good.
This place is currently my go-to boba spot. The drinks are a razzle dazzle✨extra special look to them. Great place for a cute meet & great with a friend or romantic interest. The atmosphere is super cute and the workers are always friendly. The couches are a little funky every time I come, one has some weird funk on it but there’s otherwise loads of clean nice seating. The ambiance is great and they have a variety of drinks to try. I recommend this place more for someone who has a sweet tooth, it’s on the sweater end. Parking is a little tricky in this part of town. Metered parking is available and if you enjoy a nice walk, neighborhood parking is always achievable. It looks more intimidating than it is, you just have to get the lay of the land. Parking is quite easy once you know the ins and outs.
This boba store in the Silverlake area is rare to find. The menu was simple, with few options like other boba stores, but they had unique drink styles. The order takes less than a minute, but you have to wait a long time, up to 10 mins, for the drinks since the staff invested in the displays to ensure it comes out perfectly. It's 8/10, but I wish they could have more options!
Good little social spot in echo park to meet up with friends. One of the only boba places these days where you can hang out and play board games… I feel like this disappeared after Covid?? I feel like they designed this space intentionally for people to gather and hang out. If you’re lucky they have a great sitting area with leather love seat can coffee table that is out go to spot. The tea is good and intentionally crafted. I will say, the flavors are subtle. I got the zest mocha which was more a hint of orange and chocolate. Having said this, all of the ingredients are quality, it’s more like a craft boba shop than your regular shop that serves super sweet drinks. Overall would recommend! We love this local hang.
I checked this place out with several friends. I had the Hey Hey (it was ok, not recommended) and the Onigiri. Parking is a bit difficult, try to park on Laveta Terrace and walk over. The attention was ok, some dude occupied the bathroom forever, then another one went in, and as soon as the 2nd left, one employee kindly let me know so that I would be able to go in. That was kind of her. The place in general has a great atmosphere, though. It also has tables and chairs outside. Very spacious and big. The chairs inside are so comfy.
Awesome place but parking sucks. Great vibe and cool place to hang. They have games and a really neat shared outdoor space. Great place for a first date or catch up w the homies. Drinks r legit and I like their packaging. I can tell that a lot of thought and intentionality laid the foundation for this great venue and product. Good stuff. Well done. Bravo

Fun and friendly staff. Cool and comfortable space. The drinks are somewhat unique. But they’re just so pricey! And they just taste ok. Not bad but not extraordinary to justify the price for sure. I do like the fact that they have the front outdoor space as well as a pretty spacious interior.

It's a nice space -- warm, inviting and ideal for those wanting to get some work done outside of a home or office setting. They have several board games and couches set up in the front and back. The shaded patio area is great if you want to enjoy the weather outside and watch the world go by along Sunset Blvd. The staff were kind and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the product fell flat. I got two of the signature drinks, the Hey Hey and Chai Boy, both of which were bland and forgettable, with their number one drink Hey Hey actually being inferior. I would rate the drinks as average to slightly below average, which is surprising for LA. The floor should be higher given the central location. In short, come here if you want a cool third space to hang out or work. Don't come if you are a boba enthusiast searching for high-quality drinks. It's a 3.5/5 for me.

My boyfriend and I were in the area so we decided to stop by to give this place a try. We were really lucky and found street parking right in front of the store. Ordered: -Mamba: ube thai tea coffee frap--My bf said the ube cream itself isn't sweet enough for him. He said the thai tea coffee is sweet but the ube cream isn't. He also said each sip may be slightly different depending on how much cream you get so I suggest you mix it well. -Lychee green tea with house cream and brown sugar boba--The house cream separates from the tea so you have to mix it often if you drink slow. I don't think the brown sugar boba was the best topping to add to my drink cause it kind of gives the lychee a slightly different taste.
This place seriously needs to train its staff on basic courtesy and professionalism. I will not be returning, and I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances. Returning to LA for vacation felt like coming home. As a military service member, time off is rare, and I was genuinely excited to enjoy the little things, like visiting a popular boba shop I’d heard so much about. But instead of a warm welcome or decent service, I left feeling small, hurt, and invisible. I visited on June 29th between 4 and 5 PM. The cashier on duty, a woman in a black t-shirt, was noticeably cold from the start. I saw her deliver drinks to other customers with a smile and a warm tone. When my order was ready, she barely spoke, her voice curt and irritated, and she pointed with her chin toward my drink, as if to say, “Go get it yourself.” I wasn’t expecting her to bring it to me I was ready to pick it up myself but that gesture felt deeply disrespectful, like I didn’t matter. It might seem minor to some, but in that moment, I felt singled out. I couldn’t help but wonder Was it my appearance? Something else? All I know is I didn’t feel like a valued customer or even a human being worthy of basic kindness. I tried to consider that she might be having a bad day, but it was clear she treated other customers with a completely different attitude and tone. The drink itself was unremarkable, but honestly, the taste didn’t matter. What stung was being made to feel like my presence was a burden. That feeling lingers. I wear a uniform to serve a country and people I believe in, so being treated this way in my hometown made me question that belief, even if just for a moment. Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but I believe small interactions reflect deeper values. I left that shop feeling unseen and unwelcome a feeling no one should experience, especially in a place meant to serve the public. I hope this shop reflects on how a single moment of coldness can impact someone. I truly hope this was a one off, but I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone else.

Overall consensus Very Dirty, very slow, very rude, very overpriced, & not very tasty. Waitstaff was barely legally dressed & against food handler guidelines for Los Angeles. I’m all for freedom of expression I’ve been a designer. this was very unhygienic and servers could get burnt on coffee/tea. Server was barely wearing a see through bralette with exposed Mid-drift, most of torso and backside exposed with extreme low rise pants. Not a family friendly environment. I understand people want to dress cute to get good tips but this was beyond. Also, Counters were dirty. The staff took like 10 mins to acknowledge myself or my friend picking up our order. They were not greeting customers. Staff were busy hanging out and talking with each other ignoring customers. They acted like we were unconvincing them picking up our orders. The vibe was very uncomfortable and low. Very unprofessional environment. The drinks had a weird slimy aftertaste and the boba was not yummy. The coffee was brewed way too strong almost burnt tasting. Very overpriced. I am a Boba connoisseur & have been almost everywhere in the area. My friend and I were really disappointed. We will not be back.
