Opinions de Honey Hi Alhambra
Picked this place due to the vegetarian and vegan options it provides and it did not disappoint. The breakfast sandwich was light but still packed with flavor. Staff is very helpful in helping you pick a dish if you’re on the fence about a few. I also thought the prices were fair for the amount of food you get!
The gluten-free brunch of my dreams. Came here on New Year’s Day (yes they were open) and was greeted with open arms. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, so fresh and delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich as well as the persimmon ricotta toast, and the chocolate chip sea salt cookie. I also got a Matcha latte and just wow so good. Every bite I took was better than the next and the waiters were so kind and accommodating. They get their gluten-free bread all the way from San Francisco and it is a delicacy extreme. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Great salads, bowls, and iced matcha. No bathroom so plan ahead or use the grocery store across the street.
I picked up a DoorDash order from Honey Hi and was seriously impressed with the place. The staff was super friendly and had the order ready fast. The vibe is calm, clean, and stylish — and everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The ingredients seemed really fresh and thoughtfully sourced. I definitely plan to come back as a customer — that miso bowl and lamb sandwich are calling my name!
This place has really high-quality, fresh food. I was impressed by the flavor and caliber of the ingredients in the community bowl. The egg toast was delicious as well. They’ve got a decent drink selection too, including smoothies and coffee. I ordered a merman smoothie, which was a nice contrast to the eclectic community bowl. A lot of color in the food here and nice overall presentation! The staff is super friendly and fun, and the space is open and inviting, if small. This spot is certainly worth a try.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. They use olive oil on the grill which is a huge plus. The lambwich was incredible and had a unique assortment of ingredients from the cheese to the bread. Everything was super quality, the bread was fresh and crunchy, you wouldn’t even know it was gluten free, the lamb flavorful and juicy, excellent sauce & toppings. Portions are generous by today’s standards. Music was nice and the general ambience is very chill. Highly recommend Honey Hi
Beautiful breakfast spot. Lots of options. Their coffee is home made and so is their almond/seed milk. It’s so lovely. The vibe of the place is super nice. Great service, lovely people work there. Vibe ☕️🍳
Amazing breakfast sandwich, I couldn't believe it was gluten free! As a person with celiac disease, I was stoked to find this place. It's awesome, I highly recommend and look forward to coming back
A hidden gem. Cozy space with very good taste in music. Pancakes are a must try - really almost the fluffiest (like eating clouds) and tastiest I’ve ever had!! The miso bowl was also very lovely, as well as matcha with coconut milk. Adding to my fav brunch spots and will come back!
Healthy, fresh, flavorful, and filling. Very satisfying brunch/lunch spot. Seems like they’ve been rotating their menus so check their website for the latest. The breakfast sandwich comes with an excellent smoky hot sauce. You can’t really tell the bread was gluten-free. It was very good. The breakfast bowl had the perfect blend of ingredients and a perfectly poached egg. The Pondicherry Lassi smoothie was also yummy. Not too heavy. Although it’s a small place, there’s typically a lot of indoor/outdoor seating. Line moves quick. Service is great.

very tasty food and a great serving size. not tons of seating inside but more outside
Adorable spot in echo park with SO MANY gluten free options!!! I had a hard time deciding until my friends agreed to share with me so that we could try a little bit of everything 🤪 The pancakes and breakfast burrito were fantastic! I'll be back.
Honey Hi is a gem tucked away in Echo Park, serving up fresh, health-focused food without sacrificing flavor. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, and most ingredients are sourced locally. I ordered the turmeric chicken bowl, and it blew me away — perfectly tender chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, sauerkraut, and a coconut curry sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The space is small but bright and cozy, with lots of plants and a chill vibe. Great for solo brunch or a low-key lunch with a friend. It’s a little pricey for casual fare, but you’re definitely paying for quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Bonus points for having friendly staff who genuinely seem to enjoy working there.
The food here is genuinely excellent; the thoughtful flavor combinations and food pairings clearly demonstrate the chef's expertise. However, the $20 sandwich I ordered felt pretty overpriced. Also, be aware that outdoor seating often comes with the smell of cigarette smoke, likely due to the high amount of hipsters in the area that think smoking is trendy. Despite these points, I'd recommend it for a worthwhile one time culinary experience if you're in the area.
Visited first time with a friend. Tiny spot with no restrooms and outdoor/sidewalk/street seating. Not for those who are looking for that convenient, peaceful and fresh breakfast vibes😀 Ordered 2 coffees, a breakfast bowl and a breakfast sandwich and pancakes. We made couple of bites and left half of the food on the table. I would say overall palette was interesting but not balanced at all. The bowl, pancakes... Paid around 80 dollars including a tip 🙄 A bit overpriced for the location, service and servings. The staff was young, nice, smiling and cool but this will not make us to go back again 🙂🙂
Honey Hi has a good atmosphere, making it a nice place to grab a healthy breakfast or brunch. They offer a good variety of options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores as well and the food is fresh and flavorful. A good variety of smoothies and drinks are also available. However, the portions are on the smaller side and the prices feel a bit high for what you get. It’s also quite busy on weekends, so be prepared for a wait. One downside is that they don’t have a restroom, which was inconvenient. The staff and servers were nice. Overall, a great place for a light, healthy meal with a lively vibe!
Ordered their Lamb Sandwich. It was very good tasting especially with the aioli sauce. but extremely expensive. Also not a fan of them charging an extra 50 cents for a cup of hot sauce. Don’t recommend sitting outside, the chairs are super uneven and a lot of smoke outside.

My wife and I rehearsed before we showed up on Mother’s Day for brunch. As soon as we arrived at the order counter, I was going to say “Honey” and she was going to respond with “Hi.” And then I assumed that would get us a discount. It couldn’t have gone better. I said “Honey” and she said “Hi” which I immediately followed with “Do we get a discount.” Without missing a bit, the person behind the cash register said “Yes. You are the owner now.” Hurrah! We did it! Honey Hi has nothing but gluten free items and no refined sugar. That means you don’ have to ask. It’s definitely gluten free. Don’t even bother. (We know we’ve all had that experience at the 99 Cents Only Store asking their stuff how much different items cost…just for fun.) EVERYTHING is gluten free…the breads, the toast, the pancakes. You’re good. We had the Chocolate Shake - well our kid had it and he loved it. I thought the coffee was pretty good. I also had the Eggs and Toast (which incidentally was gluten free…) along with a side of Sweet Potato Hash. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the texture of the bread was, well, very bread-like. I’m not a huge fan of sweet potatoes in place of where ‘regular’ potatoes should go (ie hash, fries, etc) so I didn’t necessarily love this so much, but my wife who IS a huge fan of sweet potatoes in place of where ‘regular’ potatoes should go loved it. She had the Pesto Avocado Toast and was a big fan of that whole experience. We also all shared the last available (at least the last visible available) chocolate chip cookie which we thought did a great job of pretending to be a non-gluten free cookie. It’s a tiny place with very few tables…we had no problem finding one and this was during Sunday brunch time (high season for this kind of food) as many people were taking their food and drinks to go…so the size of the place wasn’t really an issue in practice for us. As the new owners (hahaha, we’re kidding, see first paragraph if this is confusing) we are proud of the quality, presentation and taste of the food at Honey Hi. We’ll definitely be back.
Honey I am home! ;D Let’s begin this sweet review. Honey Hi is a local favorite spot due to its health-conscious gluten-free breakfast and brunch spot located on Sunset blvd in Los Angeles. They have compendious menu that customers will love. Interior is cute with minimalist appearance; it’s spacious with indoor and outdoor seats. I have walked and drive past by this local spot for 9+ years but never got the chance until now (2026). Blimey! I had a hot drip coffee x avocado toast on sourdough. I’d say both were okay in taste. I wish I could say it’s mind blowing but words would choke me. Anyways, staff were assiduous and professional. Prices were slightly over the market value. But that’s just the economy. Atmosphere was relaxing. Plenty of street parking. Overall, we had a good dine-in experience. I recommend honey hi.

Honey Hi offers a solid menu with great quality dishes, featuring fresh, flavorful ingredients. However, the portions feel a bit on the smaller side for the prices they charge. While the food is tasty and satisfying, you might find yourself still a little hungry after the meal, especially given the cost.

Mmmm i wanted to like it but I won’t be going back. I mean the food is very plain and overpriced. I liked the salad the best but yeah.
I got fined $93 because they sent a "ready" notification for an order that wasn't ready—a complete disgrace. What happened today was absolutely disgraceful. I placed an order on my phone, arrived at the store, and waited in my car because my order wasn't ready. After a while, the system sent me a "Your order is ready" notification. I then went into the store, only to discover that the order wasn't ready at all. Why would you mark an order that wasn't ready as "ready"? I'm genuinely curious about how this benefits the store. Is it to mislead customers into entering? This is completely irresponsible. Because of this misinformation, I waited in the store for 20 minutes, and during that time, my car, parked outside, received a $93 ticket. If the system hadn't sent me the wrong notification, I would have continued waiting in my car and avoided the fine. So, this store's simple oversight cost me $93. I come to this store regularly, and this is the first time I've encountered such a ridiculous situation. I hope a manager takes this matter seriously and holds employees accountable for their incorrect markings. It's unacceptable to point out orders that aren't ready and then have customers come into the store for no reason.
Servers and staff were super nice. Food is extremely lame. Reminds me of when I started cooking in college. Sustenance, not joy. Egg sandwich: Bread barely toasted, not much to it. Miso chicken bowl: chicken looks boiled, negligible seasoning. And no bathroom!!!! Absolutely not worth it for the crazy prices.
Drove out of my way to try this GF spot. It seems to be targeting a particular audience, and I am not that audience. My partner and I shared eggs and toast with sweet potato hash, and I ordered a matcha. The matcha was over $7 and undrinkable. The eggs were good (hard to screw up scrambled eggs). The toast was try and over-toasted. The "sweet potato" hash was mostly regular potatoes, and mostly undercooked potatoes. The music was also so loud that we had to shout to have a conversation. $30 for one drink and a small breakfast plate. Waste of my gas, time, and money.
