Great ice cream stop with lots of different flavours to choose from. There is something for everyone here and they serve in a variety of different ways for the ice creams. Some seating in doors but mostly a place to get and take about with you on a walk.

Nature Flavor, not so sweet but with awesome taste. Try the Rose and vanilla flavor as both are good. Like the neighborhood environment as one feels extremely comfortable when sitting outside in a small dining area with the breeze and people talking as well as the dogs walking around. That's the true smell of Summer night time.

The Saffron Rosewater pistachio flavor is to die for! So good, highly recommend. And if you like lavender, definitely try their lavender flavor too!

I just love Mashti ❤️ Introduced me to Persian ice cream and now their Faloudeh ice cream and Zoolbia pastries are one of my favorite deserts in the neighborhood. Yum!

Portions are generous, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is always great. If you’re looking for something different (and delicious), this place is a must-visit. 🍨

My boyfriend and I always make sure to stop by Mashti after dinner. The flavors are delicious and so many options to choose from. The “basic” flavors are not as traditional and keeps us wanting to come back for more! Also a plus that the cashiers are friendly and helpful with providing samples.

I stopped by tonight to grab some dessert and witnessed a male customer being extremely rude to the woman working. She handled it with such grace and professionalism. I couldn’t help but laugh at how he was behaving, it was crazy, and was so impressed at how she handled it. Kenya was her name- she is so sweet and walked me through the flavors !

Great shop, sweets share a lot of similarities with Indian desserts! Have to try the zoolbia still but will update once I do. Got the Butter pecan and it was great! Update: tried the zoolbia, it’s amazing! Almost if not identical to Indian Jaleebi. But I do believe the Persians brought a lot of sweets to India, which makes Zoolbia the original! Would definitely come back to support.

Got the banana walnut ice cream and it was so good. Super creamy, real banana flavor, and the walnuts added the perfect crunch without overpowering it. Not too sweet, just really balanced and comforting. Definitely one of those flavors you don’t expect to love this much but end up thinking about after. Would 100% get it again.

Still the best ice cream in the world but served with astonishingly unprofessional attitude. The young lady behind the counter - said her name was “Juju” - is in dire need of customer service training. The store closes at ten pm. Walked in at 9:30 and got three scoops. Right after I paid, she announced that she would be “putting up the tables” and I would have no place to sit. It was only 9:33 pm and I reminded her that store hours are till ten. She then said I could sit “for a few minutes.” Had to eat in a rush and couldn’t enjoy the treat. What a shame. A few days later I visited again and was greeted warmly by Nikki. She served me the things I had previously, but with a smile and professionalism. Wish all the servers were like her. The ice cream is always the best.

Mashti Malone’s Ice Cream (est 2022) is LA’s iconic ice cream shop in Silverlake. It’s an Iranian family owned and operated business. They have other two LA locations Hollywood and Westwood. I have walked past by this ice cream store while they’re building the store. I thought cool we have another ice cream store in the neighborhood. I thought the store’s name was unique. It’s my first time here since they opened in 2022. Mashti Malone has unique breadth of ice cream flavors; some I have never heard before. They offer samples for their customers to assuage customers’ decision making process easier. I was warmly greeted by a bonnie staff. I ordered Strawberry and Rocky Road. It was lovely jubbly. Its texture was thicc sublime, soft, semi-solid and flavorful. Indoor atmosphere was okay with few round tables. Prices were fair. Service was on point. Overall, I dig my perfect ice cream. I highly recommend.

wanted to like this more than i did. one of the popular persian ice cream spots in town but was honestly nothing special. enjoyed saffron & rose more than this but maybe just not a fan of persian ice cream as much as others. saffron rose water: unique flavor and pretty tasty but forgettable.

I had a very disappointing experience at this ice cream shop. I was especially excited to try the saffron ice cream and faloodeh, but both were extremely underwhelming. The saffron flavor tasted artificial and lacked the rich aroma you expect from real saffron. It felt more like a generic sweet ice cream with a hint of flavoring rather than an authentic Persian saffron dessert. The faloodeh was even worse — the texture was off, the syrup was overly sweet, and it didn’t have the refreshing, balanced taste that good faloodeh should have. It honestly tasted nothing like the traditional version. Overall, this place may look appealing, but the quality does not match the expectations. If you’re looking for authentic saffron ice cream or proper faloodeh, this is not the place.
