The menu offers a healthier twist on Mexican comfort food, using high-quality, sustainable ingredients, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options alongside traditional meat dishes. To get a full experience, I ordered several of their most popular items. The pork quesadilla was served on a wheat tortilla and came with guacamole and sour cream. It was warm, satisfying, and flavorful without feeling heavy. Next were the Mixto Chips with queso fundido, topped with queso fresco, jack cheese, white onion, tomato, cilantro, and salsa, served with brisket. The chips were impressively fresh and crunchy, and the combination of cheeses and brisket made this dish rich, comforting, and addictive. The standout dish of the meal was the carne asada bowl. It was generously loaded with rice, black beans, scallions, corn, avocado, tomato, cilantro, cotija cheese, and crema roja. Every bite was well-balanced, hearty, and packed with flavor—easily my favorite item on the menu. Dessert did not disappoint. The key lime pie was light and refreshing, while the choco flan was soft, rich, and perfectly indulgent. It was the ideal way to end the meal without feeling overly heavy. My wife and I have been regulars at Mixto since we moved to Los Feliz and it always hits the spot. The portions are great and the quality always super fresh and tasty. Staff is super friendly and prices are fair. We usually order take away but it’s fun to eat in the little cantina part every once in a while. Prob our fav local spot for quick and quality meals!

My honest opinion great taste of food very healthy. Brought my mom here for both eating. We fell in love with it. Location is so clean. Service is amazing. Staff are so nice and welcoming. Thank you so much. My new Favorite food in LA.

Amazing food, I’ve tried all the meats and they are all incredible. The bowls are my favorite, would definitely recommend. I gave three stars for the atmosphere cause it’s nothing special, just a place where you can enjoy your meal.

Food was decent, but the hipster sized portions are fairly small. For the price you're paying, you would expect to get larger portions. The burritos are less than half the size of a Chipotle burrito for reference. Staff was nice. Place was clean. Small seating section. And parking in rear.
Actually pretty good bowls! Lots of meat, I was surprised. My stomach did hurt a bit after but not sure if it was related. Will definitely be back here though.
If you’re looking for a gourmet taco stand, you’ve come to the right place! It’s super high end, chef inspired, fast food Mexican food. Similar to chipotle but twice as good with much better ingredients. 4 out of 5 stars bc it’s expensive and two veggie bowls will cost you $22. Oof.

We've been ordering from Mixto on DoorDash for a while. My wife enjoys their Mixto Bowls, which normally come with steak. We noticed there's a version with chicken that costs the same, so we asked to swap the steak for chicken in two bowls. The issue is that the chicken version has rice and the steak version has kale. Rather than paying the $3.70 to add chicken in addition to the steak, we figured it was a simple, even exchange and submitted the request. Instead, we received a message from DoorDash saying the substitution would cost $16 -- which felt excessive and confusing, especially since both bowls are priced the same on the menu. And there's nothing I could do. I contacted Door Dash and they said they could not substantiate what the charge was for. Watch this store very closely on the billing.

I don’t normally write reviews this bad but this food was genuinely so disgusting. Seco de pollo is NOT supposed to be shredded chicken. The sauce and chicken were so dry and it tasted like beer on top of that the rice was mushy and the wrong type of Ecuadorian rice. The food is genuinely so terrible.
