Opinions de Momota Ramen House Los Angeles
Great shop in the area! The food was awesome. I asked the owner about the food, and apparantly, she created original recipes to enhance each dish.they have great twists to each dish. My recommendation is the tonkatsu bento set! I ate it so fast that I firgot to even get a picture of it! Beautiful crisp and cook, just like you would taste in Japan. Service was great as I was greeted by a kind employee who provided helpful service throughout the lunch service. The place plays ghibli films and some calm music to give peace of mind.
So this place is not bad. Flavor wise, it is not as thick of a broth like other Ramen Houses' that i have been too, but for the portion size and the price, it is pretty decent. Parking in the lot is a little tight, i had a Hummer and a Ford F150 sandwich me in my parking spot, so watch your doors! The gyoza was a little oily, i would have liked if they placed it on a cloth to soak some of that out before bringing it to me, that would be nice. i would be back, because it is close to me. It's OK.
Ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, you can pick your spicy level! Ramen has rich pork broth, with green onions, garlic, bean sprouts, kikurage mushrooms, bok choy, corn, a marinaded soft boiled egg and pork belly chashu.. it was super delicious, lost of flavor, the broth was 🤌🤌🤌🤌 highly recommend it!
Best ramen ever! Not watery nor they stingy with their ingredients! Enough noodles and enough everything they add into it without extra charge whatsoever. Their sushi! Let me tell you, chuncky and not skinny. Like I said they’re not stingy with their food you get a really good amount to get full and satisfied! Customer service feels more then just a simple customer I felt welcomed. Lady who helped us really cool and a chill vibe! My favorite ramen/sushi place now this my second time coming in the same week 😌
Delicious. 😋 I had the tonkotsu ramen 🍜 and my sister had the black ramen with the boiled egg. The egg was a gooey perfection on the inside. The soup stock was very meaty in taste and the ramen, mushrooms, tofu and seaweed absorbed all the sweet flavors of the pork. I did not like the bamboo shoots. The servers are super friendly and welcoming! As soon as I walked in, they greeted us. It was fairly empty at around 8pm. I'm glad this place was changed from a boba house to a ramen house. Its about time the FIG strip welcomed a Ramen House
Good food, nice place. The server at the time we were there was really nice, food was served quick. Had the lunch special with the spicy tuna roll, very good.
Great service. Nice hole in the wall. Food was nice and hot and the restaurants bathroom was presentable although you had to go through the kitchen, literally. 5/16 Had dinner with my Family again and they did not disappoint at all. This place is really a hidden gem.
I was driving by and noticed their sign, so I decided to drop in because I had been craving Ramen. I decided to try the Black Ramen and was not disappointed. The broth was hot, spicy and very flavorful. The noodles, pork, egg and all other ingredients were packed separately and once I added them to the broth, it all came together like a symphony off flavor. I would definitely recommend this place. The manager, Olivia, was friendly and professional and provided a pleasant conversation while I waited for the food. Thanks for a delicious lunch.
We debated about heading to little tokyo or going instead to Momota for our ramen. Luckily Momota won out. We're happy we did. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The miso spicy ramen was rich and spicy and the portion size was ample. The chicken karrage was also delicious. It took a little time to get the food but the wait was worth it. Will definitely cone again when I visit LA again.
I loved everything the food was great the manager who was also serving at the time was very nice I liked how she was kind and very nice and the food came very quick, and we actually dined in and it was nice because there wasn’t to much people, and they sanitized a lot I really liked that. I also live their deserts they had ice cream macaroons which were amazing the best I ever had and this is in my opinion but it was great all in all but i know some people might care if the servers speaks Spanish or the manager who was serving me doesn’t but I didn’t really care to much again, great food great people, great place will come again soon
Black garlic ramen is yummy. I savored that broth down to the last drop. I'm super happy with it.

I put atmosphere low just because I came in when it was dead so I had perfect service and loved the ramen and rolls!!!

Came here after a visit to the science center. It is in a little shopping complex. There are quite a few restaurants so it's hard to find parking. There were a few cars double-parked presumably picking up takeout. There is also metered street parking. We first chose a meter that had some time but then saw someone come out of a stall so snagged it. The restaurant is pretty non-descript. It was quite busy but there was an open table for 4 that they gave us. We waited quite a while for menus before I just took one from the table beside us. We ordered 2 Tonkotsu Ramen special combos. Combos include a roll for $9 so we got a California and Spicy Tuna. Also ordered Shrimp tempura roll and fried squid legs. Everything was really good. The squid legs was one of the best I've had. Service was better after the initial not getting menus. By the time we were finished the dinner rush had cleared out. To access restrooms you had to walk through the kitchen which I thought was weird. Food was great which is the important thing.
A nice small Ramen house near USC. It has decent seating inside. I got their Ramen and Takoyaki. Their Ramen was pretty good. The broth tasted just right, flavourful but not too salty. It had a good amount of ingredients in a large bowl. I like how the meat was seared but still soft and tender to bite. The noodles were nice and chewy. It took awhile for my order to arrive, around 15 minutes. I guess they make the food from scratch once you order. My first time trying a takoyaki so I can't compare it to others. But I did enjoy how is was crunchy in the outside and gelatinous with some gooey texture in the inside. It had a small piece of squid. Had a tasty sauce and some kind of fish flakes as toppings in the outside. The place had very simple interior design. Had 3 tvs with some anime showing. Their customer service was ok. They were not that chatty but would answer my questions accordingly. They have restrooms available for customers. The parking is adequate but it can get busy with all the other shops around it. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience and was satisfied. I wouldn't mind going back to try their other dishes.
Spicy miso ramen was delicious! I got the spicy level and it was the perfect amount of spicy for me. (i’m mexican 😂) Would’ve been 5 stars but the noodles were very thin :( plus the server wasn’t very welcoming and kept chewing her gum while she was talking to us….
Got kaarage. As you can see it's gone, that good(wait 5 minutes before devouring it, or you'll burn your tongue. The atmosphere is private. It's pretty dim inside and really cold(summer time, not sure of other times) I reccomend eating the ramen inside as opposed to take out. Its way better that way. Granted I did eat it 2 hours later sooooo don't take my word for it too much.

This place has good food but the customer service was horrible looked like the lady was to busy with her co worker ignoring customers one walked out on her because they didn't attend them

The waitress was overworked so management is sketchy. One woman for the whole lunch rush. Then the food was just not that good. Ramen didn’t have enough flavor or salt. It was just not that good. You can check my profile, I’ve been to hundreds of ramen places mostly in japan, and reviewed quite a few. I can say this place is not good. There is good ramen in LA that compares to Japan, but this is definitely not it.

The broth was watery and the flavor simply bad. Not overly oily like a lot of ramen shops but salty with not much depth to the flavor. It is disappointing to spend as much as an average bowl of ramen to get something that is less enjoyable than instant ramen. Service was fine at least. I went with five people, ordering popcorn chicken, spicy miso, black garlic tonkatsu, and tonkatsu. - They claim to brew the bone broth for 60+ hours but the broth had an empty flavor that simply wasn’t enjoyable to anyone I went with. - The black garlic was not even noticeable and tasted more like black pepper. - Noodles were fine but nothing special. Definitely not fresh. - Popcorn chicken was mushy and tasted like it was in the freezer for too long.
Ramen wasn't that hot, more warm than anything, and wasn't that great. Found an eggshell in the broth that I had to pull out of my mouth and gave me a "discount" that barely amounted to anything. The takoyaki was nice ig
